For some reason, I find pleasing to hear Jane saying Mr. Rochester's name in many adaptation versions. They sounded beautiful, perhaps they rarely say it.
What Mr. Rochester said in Chapter 27 was true -
"I liked my name pronounced by your lips in a grateful happy accent."

i think one of the things that it's not portrayed accurately in some jane eyre adaptations (at least in my experience; i have not seen that many of them) is that jane is only eighteen, and is supposed to look very young. her candor and inexperience in life (besides her many qualities - wisdom, profound dignity, moral compass etc.) are the main reason rochester falls in love with her, "poor and obscure as you are"... she needs to look young. an adult, of course, and fully grown, but young - contrasting rochester's exhausted by life middle-to-late 30s looks. idc if you think it's gross, that's how the story is supposed to be lmao

Rosemary's Baby will be released on 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray and Digital) on October 10 via Paramount. The 1968 horror classic is celebrating its 55th anniversary.
Roman Polanski writes and directs, based on Ira Levin's 1967 novel. Mia Farrow stars with John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Evans, and Ralph Bellamy.
