Cool to see that someone else is thinking about the traitor
I still think Hagakure may be suspicious
I definitely believe that the director is innocent
Public safety commission are suspicious even if they have no connection with the traitor I'm sure some of them may have a deal with afo
And as for teachers
I do not take into account those teachers about whom, apart from their appearance, we know nothing
Midnight I think it goes without saying why not
All might also
13 got wounded during the first clash in my opinion gives her a strong alibi
I would reject all those whose emotional involvement with what is happening we have seen
Aizawa, mic, vlad (although it may seem less obvious), Recovery Girl, ectoplasm, maijima, Cementoss, Hound Dog
Lunch rush doesn't seem to contribute much to the plot
Well, that leaves us with a snipe (if I haven't left someone out)
We don't know much about him
What surprised me and made me consider him suspicious is that we didn't know what he was doing during any of the big fights
And if I remember correctly, he is one of those teachers who, together with the nezu, wondered about the traitor
So that I'm betting on snipe
Concerning the UA Traitor
I love how we as a fandom just collectively forgot that thereās probably very likely another traitor beside Aoyama in the faculty.
And with faculty I mean UA staff.
Now we all know I love my tinfoil head theories, but this actually makes some sense:
Before the traitor reveal thereās been lots and lots of theories about who could be leaking information, not few of them suspecting teachers of the treachery. Those have mostly been dismissed due to lack of emotional investment in these characters (lets not talk about Aoyama and the actual reveal here), but if you look at some of the information AfO had, a traitor or informant with more insight than a newly immatriculated student seems necessary.
Letās go all the way back to the beginning, and ask a very fundamental question, shall we?
How did All for One know All Might would become a teacher at UA to search for a successor that exact year, early enough to tell Aoyama to apply?
The timeline is a bit messy but: Him becoming a teacher has been decided before he meets Midoriya, so at least a good ten months, more likely about a year before our Heroes start High School.
Itās stated that only the staff knew heād start working at UA. Midoriya himself only gets to know when he gets accepted after the exams. The media would have probably gone haywire way earlier than the first week of school, had they known.
So whereās the leak? Teacher? Principal? Public Safety Commission? Discuss.

what do u think of traitor!mic š«¶ i honestly was confused abt it when i realized how popular it was relatively speaking ā¦ there was a lot of it from like? 2020-2021?!?! i wanted to know ur take on him ą“¦ąµą“¦ą“æ ( įµ į įµ )
BESTIE YOU ARE ALWAYS ASKING THE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. OKAY LET'S TALK ABOUT TRAITOR MIC.
The long & short of it is that I SEE the vision but unfortunately, he's just not for me š That isnāt to say Iām not interested in other peopleās takes on him (and am super open to post/fic/art recs if anyone has any; I recently saw this piece and had a full-body flinch reaction when I Realized. Like. OMG). I just have like. Zero thoughts of my own lol, because traitor!Mic is conceptually so opposed to my understanding of the character that I canāt quite au about it.
(Before I get into my longwinded nonsense, let me just add that we should have known Mic wasn't the traitor from the very start because if he had been the League of Villains would have been way more successful lmao)
So full disclosure, when I watched the first few seasons of MHA a couple years ago, I heard there was a traitor at UA and the first thing I blurted out was 'IT'S PRESENT MIC.' I honestly am not sure why I thought so at the time, other than the fact that he seemed like an incredibly unlikely candidate, and therefore was Very Suspicious to me lol. Like, I don't even think I knew he was the one who proposed the traitor theory--if I had, it would have been so over for him. I would have been convinced he was the traitor & trying to throw people off his scent maybe for the rest of my life. In reality I probably just thought he was too loud and goofy and therefore must be hiding something (what he was hiding was a tragic backstory, whoops!) But anyway I was actually really surprised when I learned traitor!Mic had become such a prevalent theory!
In many ways, I can totally see why. Mic makes a good candidate for a traitor! He's smart, he has reasons to be dissatisfied with the pro hero status quo, and as we learn, he has very distinct public and private personas--one of which is radio DJ Present Mic, and the other is really, really angry.
THAT BEING SAID. Looking back on it, I feel like the more we learned about Mic, the more the traitor theory kind of... falls apart. I almost feel like he's Too Angry under all that leather and hairspray to be a spy for the League. For example, if I was trying to stay under the radar as a villain spy, I wouldn't turn to the guy next to me and be like āHEY let's beat these civilian reporters up for trespassing ā„ā
Mic has every reason to be angry. He lost a close friend in a villain attack at a young age, watched the toll his death took on his friends and family even while processing (or failing to process) his own grief, and later had to confront the reality of what really happened to Shirakumo--how intentional and therefore avoidable it was--as the world was falling apart around him. Iāve talked a little bit on this blog about my many Big Sad Feelings about the āmiddle generationā of pro heroes between All Might and the up-and-coming UA students, but more than anyone else, I think the UA teachers are a very conflicted group. Itās likeā¦ not quite āformer child soldiers raising current child soldiers,ā but a similar concept, especially for characters like Mic, Aizawa, and Midnight, who had such a traumatic experience during their own years at UA. Now they are very much responsible for the children they are going to *checks notes* send into the same, and in some cases even more, dangerous situations that chewed them up and spat them out as teenagers. Very healthy, very mindful.
So Mic does have reasons to be disillusioned, but the thing is, he very actively participates in an often-hypocritical pro hero society. (This is not a criticism of him btw; many characters in the series do, and itās often what makes them interesting!) Something thatās come up in book club is the fact that Present Mic is a public figure with a platform of his own and absolutely no problem loudly critiquing other heroes and even students, but he like. Really Hates the media. Itās almost funny how much he dislikes them. This is as good a reason as any that traitor!Mic should have been a hard sell, because his feelings about the media are directly opposed to those of the early League of Villains--ie, the iteration of the League when the traitorās intel would have been at its most valuable. The early League loves the media; they want to use them to sensationalize and legitimize their message. Present Mic, meanwhile, uses his incredibly limited screentime to quite literally get in their way. He could have 100% made better use of his platform & connection to the press to aid the League.
I did try to approach this question from a non-erasermic lens, but I feel I would be remiss if I didnāt talk about Aizawa at all for two reasons: 1) unfortunately, Mic is a side character. He doesnāt have THAT many appearances throughout the series, and most of the time, he appears with or somehow-relating-to Aizawa, and 2) you canāt talk about a traitor without talking about who theyāre betraying. And honestly, I just can't see him betraying Aizawa--not after everything they've been through together, not after weathering Aizawa's darkest years, and not now, when All Might's imminent retirement (that the UA faculty is aware of in advance) means that big changes are looming on the horizon for all pro heroes. Mic himself acknowledges that the age of All Might has made them complacent--he knows that the end of the Symbol of Peace spells trouble, and that current pros are largely unequipped for a world without All Might. He has a tendency to prioritize others, especially Aizawa and those he cares about, above himself, and right now would be the very worst time to sell All Might/UA/etc out to the League.
And then of course there's the obvious: he really is just. Very kind. We don't get nearly enough Present Mic throughout the series, but what we do get tells us that he's supportive, protective, somewhat-sassy and Doing His Best. Like yeah, he roasts the other characters literally every chance he gets, and he can def be judgmental, but when it counts (when Uraraka was feeling guilty that Midoriya stayed behind to rescue her during the Entrance Exam, when Bakugou and Todoroki needed someone to supervise their remedial training, when Ms. Ikoma became overwhelmed by her students' admittedly poor behavior), he steps up for the people around him. Idk he's just a really solid hero. This is my formal apology to Present Mic for suspecting him in like 2018 or whenever it was.
THANK YOU FOR OPENING UP THIS CAN OF WORMS, do you have any thoughts on traitor!Mic? Any recommendations? Does anyone? š
#do you ever get about 1000 words into a post and think what the hell am i talking about#and then you just continue talking anyway#ANYWAY THIS WAS FUN I LOVE YOU PRESENT MIC#ask#yamada hizashi#liza blather#scheduling this so i STOP ADDING TO IT

Since MHA is close to an end, thereās one(a few) secrets I have to share with you all!
I did not care about Midnight or StarsānāStripes, and didnāt feel any ounce of sadness over their deaths!
I sympathise/empathise with Rei, but I unapologetically remain only a stan of the Todoroki kids/siblings!
I never really actually hated Mineta, heās a side character who is so easily forgotten if you just focused on actually important characters. I forgot he existed most of the times!
My biggest fear has happened, and so now I must worry about my next two biggest fears - Shouto taking Endeavorās hero name(fuck donāt think the theory hold any grounds or goes with Shoutoās arc or desires but ugh I fear it still) as some kind of honour to his father or something. Second being that Aoyama gets kicked from U.A, and punished for being a traitor even though it was out of his control and he was a victim! He will most likely be fine but let me worry ok š!
I hope we never see or ever will be introduced to Izukuās father, because at this point I feel only negative emotions towards him!

Ok, so I know I mentioned how I wonāt acknowledge BkDk Stans, but this oneās a special case. Reason being is that this specific person has a large audience and I felt that Iād outta warn you in case you decide to wanna interact with the MHA audience on Twitter, cause chances are youāll encounter them. Iāve bought them up before, so the name Dekacchan might ring a bell. I had this old post saved in the drafts cause I wasnāt sure that I really wanted to actually post it, but this woman has some serious issues. This doesnāt mean you get to go to her Twitter and harass her, cause I donāt condone that shit, but let this post serve as a general outline for who Dekacchan is.
āāāāāāāāāā
Bro, even the BkDks are shitting on Dekkachan š. This lady comes around championing the Japanese fandom of ābeing the most understanding of BkDk and it being canonā, but when confronted by a famous Japanese fujoshi who has more knowledge on the subject than she does, she continues to spit out these conspiracy theories š. Lady, give it a rest already.
As far as I can tell, this is her life:
-Be Dekkachan.
-Be 27 years old.
-Have a partner and a job where she teaches kids.
-Think of BkDk 24/7
-Partner and job are second to BkDk.
-Argue with children over which set of scribbles gets with which set of scribbles.
-Bully said children for not liking BkDk.
-Ignore that Izuku and Katsuki, the focus of the obsession, are minors.
-Retweet BkDk fan-art that is suggestive such as m!preg and acts of sex. Again, they are minors.
-Have friends who are proshippers and post NSFW pics of minors while being the same age as her.
-Fail to cringe at being terminally online and being more than obsessed with a fictional ship about two kids.
-Claim to be an intellectual but canāt even see that her ship isnāt canon DESPITE how obvious it is that the canon ship is IzuOcha. Even IzuOcha haters, fellow BkDks, and shippers of all kinds recognize this basic fact.
-Manipulate and cultivate an audience made up of presumably mainly teenagers to silence anyone who disagrees, no matter how logical their arguments are or no matter how respectful they are.
-Will actively seek out other peopleās posts about their thoughts on MHA, and proceed to expose them to the hive-mind even if they posted away from the BkDk spaces.
-Alienate the majority of the BkDk community who is disgusted by such behavior, some even losing their love for something they were passionate of. Proceed to target and harass such ātraitorsā.
-Whole identity revolves around being a conspiracy theorist, a bully, a toxic shipper, and one of the biggest hypocrites on earth. Wears this as a badge of honor.
-Play victim whenever confronted and say āif you donāt like me, then blockā despite the one initiating conflict.
Honestly a really sad life. Like yeah, I have this blog and whatnot, but I donāt go around harassing people who disagree with me, Iām not terminally online (only being online when Iāve got nothing better to do), and I can tell the difference between canon and my imagination. Dekkachan is something else and Iām honestly worried about how sheās going to react once IzuOcha actually becomes canon. Even other BkDk fans hate her š.

So I've been out of the bnha fandom for a bit, but with AFO biting the dust finally I kind wanted to talk about my perspective with the deal with this situation.
Mostly about AFO and Izuku story as characters, because I don't think you need to look far to see that there is or was something bigger to both their characters, that connected them in a way outside of OFA and that story line. Now for a long time a lot of fan thought of the DFO theory but I've and plenty other I think have gotten to the point where that's been sadly debunked.
That being said I don't ever regret being apart of that theory fandom, it was an awesome community to be apart of and they stories, fanart and theories that have been made were incredible. and A lot of us even die hard believers knew it was a far fetch theory even at the best of time's, but that the reality of following a story it doesn't always turn out the way you expect, but it was still a blast to be apart of.
The thing about the DFO theory was that it handily tied two very real plot threads in the story in a clean knot. Which is who is Hisashi Midoriya, and what the weird foreshadowing with Deku and AFO but now it seems their separate I want to talk about the later theory.
From the beginning of the manga AFO has a had a presence in deku Life, as many fans know the doctor who diagnose Deku quirkless is AFO doctor who also turned his grandson who played with deku into a nomu. We also have gotten what went down at Kamino and AFO general off handed attuited when it came to deku for most of the story. The multiple quirk's deku could spawned without dying and even that chapter 217 the basically compared Deku to AFO. Not to mention two different official artwork of them interacting. Despite some pretty big foreshadowing that something was going on with them, after this newest chapter 410 many fan are scratching their heads in what his all means. Because DFO aside there was something more to their story that know seems to have just been left as a dead end.
Now of course this story is not over yet and this could still be explained. but it is a lot of build up for two character who will have never interacted face to face (as far as we know). And frankly I'm at a complete loss as to what it all meant, it's possible it could have been a story line Hori wanted to change, which i don't blame him if that's the case, BNHA has been going on for a decade now, ideas that happened at the beginning of the story certainly haven't made it to the end. For example Hori just revealed that Endeavor was meant to die earlier in the story, and that Tsukauchi was meant to be a traitor. not to mention there have been a lot of other family reveals he might have felt he overloaded the story if he had decided to do DFO at some point.
That being said it's not the only plot thread that's been left unanswered (for now). For instance we still don't know why Gran became a hero (anyone remember that plot thread from the stain arc). We have yet to know anything about Nana husband and of course we still have no idea who Hisashi is. and Their seems to have been a slightly dropped arc with the doctor, the nomu and his grandson.
so what does this whole ramble mean in the end? well it's the fact I'm a little stubbed as to where these character are going now and a little disappointed they never got to fight. That being said there is still a way to go before the manga ends, so I have a feeling at this point we all just have to wait and see if these plot point tie up or if they where dropped.
And Who knows, maybe it's something Hori has planned for later down the track outside of the main manga. Should he ever want to do a sequel to MHA or maybe possible a prequal.

my theory academia
also known as āwhat i wrote in my notes app to explain my mha theories to my wife, who knows the bare minimum of mha loreā
* manga spoilers ahead *
SO i begin with Red Shoe TheoryTM
Red Shoe Theory is basically the idea that Izukuās trademark red shoes are a specific brand made for quirkless people.
The doctor in episode one explains that quirkless people are biologically different than quirked people. one of the differences is they have a second toe joint in their toes. a very specific and odd thing to include, but go off i guess
then we see izukuās ugly ass (affectionate) red shoes. he wears the same damn shoes since he was a kid to literally current day. no one else in the series has this type of shoe and he wears them with everything.
theory is basically bc of the toe joint, they have to wear specific shoes to accommodate.
now: this is kinda a dumb theory by itself. however, i lied when i said only one character in the series wears them.
there is two.
introducing the Shigaraki was Quirkless theory.
HandJob McGee is the only other character that wears these red ass shoes. but theyāre not just red. theyāre fucking identical to izukuās. again, not super compelling at first.
until you take in account the UA traitor, Aoyama Yuuga.
he was quirkless. his parents, rich and stupid, asked AFO to give him a quirk. he gives him Naval Laser and now basically has his family enslaved and forces him to be the traitor.
something odd about aoyamaās quirk (besides that is fucking stupid) is that it hurts him. not in a āworked out too muchā way but in a ācan barely use itā way. he gets better with training but he can barely handle using it for a few seconds without being in pain and he is RELIANT on support gear, something people with quirks are taught not to rely on as it is a handicap in case their gear is destroyed. he has no choice and has to wear it because otherwise the fuckin bitch leaks n shit
there are two other characters whoās quirks hurt them like this. izuku and his liquified bones, who we also know was quirkless
and shiggy.
all the characters we have seen that have toxic quirks have a natural immunity or defense against it to protect them (IE: kacchan and fire, mina and acid etc)
however, shigaraki is literally flaking away. we also know that he was originally Tenko shimura and had black hair and black eyes. now tho, he has white hair and red eyes and his skin is so dry he scratches constantly.
his quirk is decay.
his body is slowly decaying itself as a reaction to the quirk because itās not supposed to be there. heās basically turning albino.
now. this i feel like is too obvious to not be canon but *shrugs*
AFO manipulated and groomed baby Tenko bc heās a petty ass bitch
AFO forced decay onto bb tenko, causing him to accidentally kill his family, and be the one to find him after to āsave himā, and it was planned every step of the way.
So this is easier just to go in order of tragic events.
Yoichi Shigaraki, first user of One for All, brother of All For One, so obviously All For One is a shigaraki.
Nana Shimura. Seventh user of one for all and All Mightās beloved mentor.
All Might, who is still alive and who AFO hates.
Nana Shimura. Also known as Tenko Shimuraās grandmother.
now.
nana is dead. bc afo fucking killed her.
all might is not dead and is proving to be afoās biggest asshole to date.
all might continues to be heartbroken about nanaās death to current day. itās no secret how important she was to him.
afo, an immortal petty bitch, thinks hmm how can i make all might suffer the most.
oh i know.
finds her quirkless grandson and says āhey lil boy i can give you a quirk! :Dā
tenko, 4 and stupid, āomg really!! :Dā
afo, *gives tenko a super fucking destructive quirk*
*sends him home*
(note: he could have also have it to him without tenko knowing it happened idk. the details are flexible but the main point it the important thing here)
tenko, fucking accidentally kills his entire family bc how was he supposed to know better.
afo, is immortal and rich so has people watching to make sure no one gets close to the boy and he swoops in to āsave himā
proceeds to groom him and traumatize him by making him wear his fucking dead familyās hands on his body to constantly remind him he is a killer and evil and afo will be the only one to be kind and care about him
afo brainwashes tenko into forgetting what happened and who he used to be (through grooming, gaslighting, etc) and now he only knows himself as tomura shigaraki.
plans to make him basically the successor to afo and be what kills one for all/ all might is sick poetic fuckery of all might being killed by his mentors grandson.
(also adds a reason as to why nana is the only female user. to show that she is important to the story beyond just being a past user/mentor)
now this next theory has less of a hold bc of lack of evidence but i personally head canon it to be true.
Dad for One
basically. midoriya izukuās dad, midoriya hisashi is actually AFO.
he left when izuku was diagnosed as quirkless which could be considered hypocritical considering he sought out tenko but i think afo is a dramatic bitch and wanted to fuck with all might but ALSO
tenko is older than izuku by at least a few years, so he would have already had that plan in motion and may have stuck around just to see if izuku developed a quirk worth stealing or not and decided he wasnāt worth it. or could have also just not been able to get away with using him bc of inko and the bakugous. or a little of all that idk. (i GUESS itās possible that he also actually did care about izuku and didnāt want to hurt him but i meeeannnnn idk man i wasnāt there)
BUT BESIDES THAT
* horikoshi has confirmed that izukuās dad would be revealed before the end of the series and we kinda donāt have many options left here (at least i saw something that said that at one point, could be bs but STILL his dad is one of the last mysteries of the show)
* afoās fuckin face is destroyed so we canāt see any resemblance BUT Yoichi looks INCREDIBLY similar to izuku
* it honestly makes the story super fucking interesting?? like izuku is the son of afo, born quirkless, given the quirk one for all by all might, all might basically becomes dad might, and izuku is the one to take his father down with the help of the previous users (including his uncle yoichi) in an incredible poetic justice loose end tying satisfying ass ending
i also wanna add that the Dabi is Touya Todoroki theory being canon gives credibility that this story has a thing for the family drama plot line and why wouldnāt they use it in the main characters storyline?
in conclusion, i held my wife hostage for a solid hour and a half to explain these to her, not dissimilar to this meme;
and i wanted to share it bc i worked too hard on it to just delete the note lmfao
#mha#mha theory#dad for one#red shoe theory#my wife had to suffer through my rambling so i figured i should post it so others suffer with her#mha manga spoilers#mha spoilers

There are so many interesting aspects of MHA worldbuilding/academia that we never got to see, and it pains me.
For a world that doesn't allow people to use their Quirks in public areas, how do 1A (bar Izuku, Kaminari, and Aoyama) have such control over their Quirks? Are there gyms or training facilities they can go to in order to train their Quirks? I'm assuming Yaoyorozu and Ida got some form of private training, given their wealth, and Todoroki had been trained by Endeavor from age 4/5.
How exactly do the work studies even function? They're optional and located all across Japan, so how do they make up the absences? How do they keep up with their schoolwork? Does UA pay for lodging? Why are the lowest ranked students in class even allowed to go on a work study if their grades are so bad? How has Oboro dying and the Shie Hassaikai raid not given UA even more bad press, considering that Sir Nighteye was killed and many UA students were injured? Nedzu mentioned "restarting" the work studies, so I assume maybe Oboro's death caused UA to pause them?
We also see in universe that the teachers disagree with Nedzu/the establishment on how UA should be run. Snipe didn't want the Sports Festival being held so soon after the USJ Attack. Present Mic was rightfully upset that his traitor theory was being shot down (wonder how they all felt when they found out he was right). All Might didn't like the first years being on work studies to begin with. Later on, Snipe, Cementoss, and Vlad King didn't want the work studies being made mandatory (though that last one was due to the HPSC).
It's funny you say this because I was actually somewhat thinking about this topic.
One thing that always nagged at me was that Yaoyorozu and Todoroki were really the only 1A students who were exemplary (I'm excluding Bakugou here for a second). It's supposed to be the best hero school in the world, yet it's only the two of them who actually show that off (with their quirk control, Yaoyorozu with her intelligence, and Todoroki with his raw strength). They should have been the expectation, not the exception.
Don't get me wrong, other 1A students like Kirishima and Tokoyami are good with their quirks, but not to the level that those two were at the beginning. To get into the greatest hero school in the world, you would expect more exceptional students. Even looking at a wider scope, the only other examples we can point to are the Big Three (and maybe Kendo but we don't see much of her skills beyond her fight with Yaoyorozu).
It would have been way more impactful for Izuku and Bakugou to get there and see how far behind they were (mostly Bakugou as Izuku already experienced this somewhat). Bakugou being the second best right of the bat makes no sense when Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, and Iida have (presumably) has the best training and tutoring possible (I will never stop being salty about Bakugou beating out Todoroki in class ranking, in what world does that even make sense). If this was going to be the best hero school in the world, there should have been students who have pushed themselves to the limits their entire life. Bakugou getting there and seeing that he wasn't any more special than everyone else would have been way more impactful. They both should have spent more time playing catch up.
But I'm rambling. UA in and of itself is just messy and the story just doesn't go into depth past surface level in any aspect. The only time Horikoshi starts to do this is with Lady Nagant, but even then a lot of society and its impact on her is left in the air

MHA IS / NOT / ENDING IN 2024
Ok so, MHA is definitely having at least more 50 chapters at the very minimum.
MHA is weekly, and 2024 will have only 52 weeks, so that plus breaks, if it has 50 chapters, knowing Hori takes at least a break a month, it'd need around 65 or 70 weeks to be completed.
So it can't end in 2024, maybe MHA will end around February or March 2025... Perhaps even June!
But why I think so?
The final war arc started on chapter 343, so the current arc has 66 chapters.
This final arc is the longest arc in the series, as Hori's arcs got progressively longer each new arc, the longest arcs being 24, 41 and 54, from the first big arc, it basically doubled in size, it can double again.
But i think of the traitor arc as part of the final war, starting with the Sns chapter, which is chapter 329
So to me the final arc has 80 chapters so far to put it simple.
Also Hori wouldn't just cut the end dry, I can easily see a last, short, epilogue arc showing what happened after and all the changes in society and everything.
MHA won't end in more 15 chapters, we still haven't seen: Aizawa/Mic/Kurogiri, Sero's role, the tie up to Toga and Ochako, Hawks being the light of hope, Spinner's demise, seeing what talk Compress had with the heroes, Hisashi finally appearing(hori did promise it!), Hori did mention Class 2-A briefly showing up, tie the quirk singularity theory plot, AFO finally inserting his quirk factor on Tomura, AND finally, Tomura vs Izuku.
Tomura vs Izuku is probably not being quick, giving they are the main characters, and the grand finale, the greatest mess and also what needs more focus, In these 60+ chapters of this arc so far, izuku barely showed up, you can't have a 80 chapters only arc and your MAIN CHARACTER show up just 5 or so!!!
Considering Hori made almost 50 chapters of ONLY people fighting AFO and other stuff, I'm confident we will have at MINIMUM some 15 chapters of ONLY Shigaraki vs Izuku, he is saving these two for last, so I'm confident it won't be that fast AT ALL!
Honestly, I won't be surprised if MHA have more 70 chapters left, I can easily see this arc being over 150 chapters, like, come on, Hori didn't take his sweet sweet time only to half ass rush the most important part! Hori won't rush now that he toke so much care to build up the climax
Honestly i personally think MHA might even reach 460/480 chapters total, I wont be surprised if we reach 500 chapters either! (Each volume have 12 chapters, so MHA ending with a total of 47 or 48 volumes. )
Like- there is way TOO MUCH to be seen! The final arc is only on the half way but already been 80 chapters so far! And we haven't even got to the main fight!!!
Anyways, mark my words
MHA is ending in middle 2025.
Update/Edit: Just realized MHA will have only 33 chapters released this year and only 2 volumes

14 Days of MHA - Day 7 (July 29th): First Impressions, Just One Bad Day
I genuinely don't get this one, its kinda a weird mix of phrases, but I am thinking its about Villains.
So here are my thoughts on the main LOV members, and unfortunately its generally not good
Shigaraki - First impression was he was cocky and childish but I liked him. Last impression isn't great and this is due to Horikoshi not sticking to what HE WANTED to do. I wish Shigaraki had more time to develop in the series, like I feel like for most of it he was gone or he was AFOs pawn. It would have made his real dream more relevant and that is being a hero for the "villains" or the underside of society. But Horikoshi kissed Japan and Shonen Jumps ass too much, and tried to swipe him and the LOV in general to the side. Aoyama was supposed to be revealed as the traitor in the training camp arc, but the Japanese viewers "don't like villains" so he shortened the arc, and the villains never got much of anything for the middle of the series, and I think it really dulled MHA a lot
Twice - Weird and goofy, I love him, he is my fave member. He wasn't a bad guy, and wish he got given a chance sooner
Spinner - pathetic and sad
Toga - psychotic and I hated her story, it was even worse done than Shigaraki
Dabi - love him, love his mysteriousness at the beginning, loved the theories about him, his reveal fucking out trended the US election on twitter LOL that will never not be hilarious, and I love how he is so similar in many ways to Shoto who is one of my fave characters
Compress - I literally forget about him all the time

SPOILERS FOR MHA SEASON 7
I just finished episode 2 of season 7.
I didn't think I would like Star and Stripe but damn, she was powerful, and not just physically. She is another piece of living proof of all the All Might has managed to accomplish. It's amazing.
...but, to have her die so soon. It feels like an injustice...I can't believe it. Just when I was starting to like her too
AND THE ENDING. ARE WE GOING TO FINALLY CONFIRM WHO THE UA TRAITOR WAS
I remember when that was a whole thing but it was before season 5 had even aired and I had no clue what people's theories were and all that. But the two I heard were Aoyama and Hagakure. I am so hyped that will be such a mad reveal.
I cannot wait, but I also don't want it to be over. I hate series endings, they really break my heart.

Present Mic - the sad happy one
For one of my first texts, I want to talk about one of the most underrated, and sometimes borderline forgotten, characters in My Hero Academia, Hizashi Yamada aka Present Mic. This will contain spoilers for the MHA manga, the anime, and the MHA Vigilante manga. Let me start with a brief recap of what we learn about him early on. Mic is a pro hero and a member of the UA staff who teaches English. Like most teachers, he was a student of UA. Besides teaching, he is also the announcer of UA events, probably because of his voice quirk which allows him to amplify his voice to the point of creating a dangerous shock wave or sonic boom. And because two highly stressful jobs arenāt enough, he also has a weekly radio show called āPut your hands up radioā, where he broadcasts nonstop music every Friday. He presents himself mostly as an extrovert, loud and enthusiastic guy who wants to pull everyone around him into his excitement, which leads to him actually being mistaken for an announcer rather than a pro hero. He is the hype man of UA, no matter what, being a perfect contrast to Aizawas stoic and rational approach to everything. But is that correct? I think the fandom perspective on him is āthe golden retriever to black cat Aizawaā doesnāt do him any justice and ignores some feature plot points!Ā
Before I get into the bigger theme I want to focus on, Iād like to call out how perceptive Mic is and how analytical he works, because after the incident at the training camp arc, where the League of Villains attacked the secret location of where it was held, he called out the logical thing. In the staff meeting happening in Chapter 83 he was the first to coin the theory of the UA traitor, because if just the people inside UA knew about the specifics, one of them had to leak it. He is proven right in chapter 336, but nobody ever talks about it in this context. As much as I love the plot of Class 1-A being one united front, a bit of recognition towards Mic wouldāve been nice. But the biggest misinterpretation of his characters stems from his and Aizawaās shared backstory, including Oboro Shikamaru, the later Nomu called Kurogiri. In the prequel manga MHA Vigilantes, set a few years before the main series where Aizawa just starts teaching, we get a detailed flashback in chapters 59-65. They are shown as second year students at UA, with their struggles with planning their future, school work and of course becoming pro heroes. Calling themselves the rooftop trio, they dreamt of opening an agency and adopting stray cats. In every hero student's career comes the days of the work studies, when they do internships with experienced heroes, so they get some practical experience. Unfortunately, a catastrophe happens while Aizawa and Oboro were together in their work study, and Oboro died tragically when a building collapsed onto him. Aizawa wasnāt able to save him and Mic came much later to the scene and couldnāt do anything. The first time, Mic was not there to safe a friend and could just deal with the aftermath.
The second time something like this happens is in the war arc, where the conflict between heroes and villains gets to an unknown height till this day. In the conflict in the Paranormal Liberation Arc there were a lot of casualties and one of them was the pro hero Midnight, fellow UA teacher, and someone the rooftop trio knew from school, because she was just a little older. The mistreatment of Midnight and other female heroes is maybe a topic for another day, so I focus back on Mic. Again, he wasnāt by his friend's side. In the same arc Aizawa loses an eye and his leg, by cutting it off himself, when he was hit by a quirk erasing bullet and wanted to prevent himself from losing his quirk. Aizawa is stable and has accommodations, but Mic was not with him. He fought Kyudai, the doctor who helped OFA creating the Nomus. But still, he was unharmed while one of his friends died and the other one was gravely injured. And at this point you canāt tell me that on top of the trauma of being a pro hero, being in a war and losing people, the fact that he is fine while others arenāt, isnāt fucking a person up. One thing that feels weird and outrageous to be, but really unsurprising when I look at the real world, is that there seems to be no actual support system or help for the pro heroes because all of them should have therapy. The amount of trauma, stress, probably PTSD, they have must be unbearable, but for them, itās probably just a part of the job. I mean, we also see this very early on in the young students, but itās easier to recognize it in them, than it is in the pros. I think Aizawa and Mic are not so very different, I even think they are two sides of the same coin, because while Aizawa went into isolation after Oboroās death, Mic went on throwing himself into work to drown out the thoughts and the pain. He kinda lost two friends with this incident because Vigilantes shows how Mic and Aizawa are distant from each other. They both have to deal with very similar pain, but not one of them talks about it, because they have to go on being heroes. The thing is, I wouldnāt be writing this is Aizawa just naturally got more screen time because of his home room teacher position and thatās why we donāt see as much of Mic, but in Vigilante and in the Kurogiri/Oboro reveal they are focussed equally but still, we ignore the guy who just seems more happy and energetic. I donāt think the final chapters we are now getting, because the manga will end this year, will give Mic and Aizawa time and focus to deal with Kurogiri, but if it happens, I can just see a few options that would make sense for Mic. He may break down, if he loses another person and letās be honest that could be Aizawa because things are bad enough as it is. What I consider more realistic is that he will not break down passively, but just the danger of loosing another will fuse his anger and his survivor guilt, and he will throw himself into danger, protecting others and may be even killing himself in the progress just to not having to watch another one die in front of him. I think each one of the characters is tragic in their one way because of how hero society works, but as in real life we tend to ignore the people who say that they are fine, which makes Present Mic as a character so much more bitter.Ā

Mha Rant #1
hey um, well I guess I need to get this off my chest, after watching the show several times I came to a realization, hori has a boner for asshole characters. I know big shocker, but I bet you are wondering "why are you telling us something we already know?"well it's because I have analyzed every scene in the entire series, and I have kept an eye on the behaviors of these three in particular, so let's start with the explosive cancer that is bakago shitsuki.
he has been nothing but a huge POS throughout the whole show, and no the 5 seconds of 'character development' do not count. He literally gets away with doing bad stuff to other people. Not only that, but it is treated as a 'joke'. And midoriya is the one who suffers from this because if any piece of midoriya's backstory is revealed, it would make explodoboy look bad, and we can't have that, now can we? Now let's move on to the actual worst teacher in mha, eraserhead.
This man has caused the deaths or rise of to villain from all the students that he has expelled. And the recton, and let's face it the only reason that this bullshit retcon exists is to give kurobo any impact. now for the fire dumpster himself.
I hate his redemption arc because it made shoto a tool for his redemption, and ruined dabi for me. Aside from all the stuff that endeavor has done, I want to talk about the reveal that rei side of the family, and by extension the Todoroki kids are a product of incest. do you want to know My honest reaction to it was. "What was the actual point of that?" It was so unnecessary, like we get it, the Todo fam is a tragic fam, but don't throw random bullshit to make it worse.
Look what I'm trying to say here is that.... It feels like hori is trying to make us forget all the bad stuff that they did. As if it didn't happen at all. And coming from the guy who had to rewatch the show for traitor theories, I can't forget it, not at all.
#anti aizawa shota#anti bakugou#izuku deserves better#endeavor slander#Actually all the characters who aren't them deserve better (including the villains except for a certain few).

I spend a lot of time harping on the disappointing and frustrating aspects of MHA, so I'd like to change gears and talk about some specific positives for me:
- Ida, Todoroki, and Izuku's friendship during and post Stain Arc. The way those three stuck together was just awesome, and we got the legitimately funny 'Hand Crusher' moment.
- Eri being 100% ride or die for Izuku. I'm not a fan of Eri (specifically her writing), but seeing her going so hard for Izuku in the light novels were the ONLY bearable moments for me.
- Kota becoming an Izuku fanboy and apologizing for how he acted towards him, specifically how he ran up to hug Izuku after the Dark Izuku Arc.
- All Might and Inko owning up to their mistakes and working to make up for them.
- The audience legitimately cheering for Sero after his match with Todoroki during the Sports Festival, seeing as how unfairly matched up they were.
- The OFA vestiges (for the most part) being genuinely kind and helpful towards Izuku, gently encouraging him to rest and not push himself during the Dark Izuku Arc
- Dark Shadow absolutely loving Izuku and being so gentle with him during 1A vs Izuku š„ŗ
- Aizawa FINALLY realizing how unfair and awful he'd been towards Izuku during the PLF War, specifically after hearing Izuku stand up for him
- AFO in Kamino Ward was badass. Enough said.
- Dadmight and Izuku. No other words needed.
- Ida comforting and reassuring Izuku that he'd always be there to help him during 1A vs Izuku.
- Endeavor actually realizing how awful he was towards his family, and Natsuo and Shoto being more or less allowed to feel conflicted/resentful of him.
Those are all very nice moments, I do have to say. I agree wholeheartedly with all of them.
Adding to that list, I love how the girls support each other. Itās such a good group dynamic and I love that despite their differences they all look out for each other and their friendship is strong.
I may criticize the plotline as a whole, but I do like that instead of turning on the Yuuei traitor they understood the traitorās situation and promised to help the traitor with their issues. It was honestly really heartwarming.
I love Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishimaās adorkable friendship. Theyāre all so goofy together!
I love seeing Kirishima and Tetsutetsuās bonding moment during the Sports Festival. Kiri definitely needed another friend and branching the gap between the (at the time) nebulous 1-B and our 1-A was really nice. (Plus the separated at birth theory makes me laugh. Too many coincidences! Get the string board!)
Eri SMILING and finally acting like a kid during 1-Aās musical number at the Culture Festival and making Mirio cry? That hit me right in the feels.
Speaking of Mirio, I love his friendship with Midoriya. He is the exact kind of friend he needed and heās so goofy he makes me smile whenever we see him. The Big Three are honestly one of the better parts of the Academia part of the manga/anime.
This is a bit of a petty moment, but Iām petty and it makes me laugh: Overhaulās whole cameo in the Lady Nagant arc. I personally despise him so seeing him so disheveled and bewildered all of the time gives me joy.
I LOVED Shuichi/Spinnerās loyalty/friendship with Shigaraki. He is such a ride or die friend and it made me smile every time he mentioned how much he was willing to do just to save him. It reminds me of how dedicated Iida/Todoroki were to save Midoriya from himself and it hits home that theyāre effective foils of each other.
And of course, Uraraka and Midoriyaās bond is one of my favorite parts. Not only are they both super cute/adorkable, but they care about each other SO MUCH and it HEALS me to see them showing that.
Thereās just so much good and while it frustrates me a lot due to the wasted potential I just canāt hate it, yāknow? Not when thereās so many good parts to come back to.
#she speaks#she answers#mutuals#bnha sugar#mha sugar#honestly for as much as i criticize it i can admit it has a LOT of good parts#thatās partly why i criticize it so much - i know it can and should be better-written#potential spoilers

has any of your theories or predictions become canon?
Well, anon, I think you probably have realized that a lot of what I do on this blog IS just make theories for funsies, and obviously I cannot hold to each theory 100% because many of them contradict each other. Whenever I gloat about "calling it" in MHA, I usually am doing so half-sarcastically, because some of the things I've "predicted" have been hedged or were too vague to count as true predictions. Sometimes I also just like to take a theory as far as I can stretch it by jumping to wild conclusions when the answer turns out to be simpler.
HOWEVER, IF YOU MUST KNOW...
The predictions that became canon I currently can recall:
Katsuki's hero name will be Dynamight
Izuku in his vigilante phase would be saved by all of Class 1-A together
Izuku's vigilante arc would showcase how he hasn't learned to value teamwork yet
The utility of two OFA quirks, Danger Sense and Smokescreen, did turn out to be for stealth/reconnaissance
Katsuki would apologize to Izuku
The answer to Ochako's question of "who saves the heroes?" would be the civilians
Considering the ambiguity of singular/plural words in Japanese, the final word in "This is the story of how I became the greatest hero" would actually turn out to be "heroes"
Yuuga Aoyama is the UA traitor
The general progression of Star & Stripe's arc
Shouto would not use Flashfire Fist against Dabi
Shouto vs Dabi ain't done yet
Katsuki will be exploited as Izuku's weakness
That one panel in chapter 345 was heavily foreshadowing something very bad was about to happen to Katsuki featuring the possibility Katsuki will try to self-destruct to take TomurAFO down
The Second's quirk is a variation of super speed
These predictions I never wrote about so you will just have to take my word that I had them in like 2018:
Katsuki would have to save Izuku and potentially fail (fulfilled by "Katsuki Bakugou Rising")
Izuku would give OFA to Katsuki (fulfilled by the ending of Heroes Rising)
Both Katsuki's and Izuku's teams would win their matches in the JTA
And lastly, here's how that bingo card is currently going:
And I'll probably think of like 5 more I forgot to list while lying in bed tonight.
#anon ask#ask pika#my hero academia spoilers#final showdown spoilers#meta#theory#i basically started this blog with the accidentally genius joke about Dynamight
