So Jean Bean Jane is a character I made a few years ago. She was originally made for a Danganronpa RP, although her gimmick applies really well with any world where people have their own special abilities (stuff like My Hero Academia works really great for this, however I'll be introducing her the way that I introduced her in the Danganronpa story)

So in the DR story, she calls herself the Ultimate Merchant. She's the middle child in a somewhat prestigious family. Born Jean Ieyasu, she's the middle child with an older brother named Honda, a prestigious inventor, and a younger sister named Doohickey, an equally prestigious mechanic (anyone who was around for my old game planning streams may remember her). She was always different from her siblings, favoring the more flamboyant and dramatic flairs, usually helping to sell their inventions with her eye-catching (and frankly dogshit) fashion sense and her choice of speaking. She talks like a carnival barker, speaking loudly and quickly and taking advantage of the inevitable confusion, usually trying to sucker someone into literally buying her magic beans. She also doesn't mind being a bit of a scam artist at times.

Oh yeah, the beans. The twist behind her character is that she tries to pretend that she has some sort of special ability (an Ultimate Talent in DR, a quirk in MHA, etc), but she does not. She was not born with one. However, her siblings made a super cool machine for her to use. What this machine does is that it takes the DNA of someone who has a superpower/talent/ability and it turns it into jellybeans. If she eats someone's jellybean, she gets that person's ability for five minutes (and if she eats too many in a short time period she gets sick, so she can only use this sparingly). She uses her general charisma to get DNA from unsuspecting people (i.e. "Bet you can't spit in this cup from five feet away")

Anyway, that's the lowdown of her character. The most important elements of her is that A) She doesn't have powers and uses the jellybeans to steal others' powers B) She's a bit of a bastard C) Her fashion sense is awful.

Shoutout to the time during my MHA RP era in like 2016-2017 when I, a 16 year old, wrote All Might, and this Shinsou writer started interacting with me and it turned out that writer (30 years old) shipped Shinsou with All Might which i didnt know while interacting with him and then i got chewed out by people in my ask box and one insane person clawed their way into my DMs to tell me what that guy was doing but also bared their teeth at me and called me gross and to block them if I associated myself with the Shinsou guy all while im 16 and hes 30 and im like "ok wow sorry honestly but also im literally a minor can everyone calm down" like hello help is this real life hdkfkkskjdkdkd

Recently, I’ve been talking to some admins, and they expressed an oddly similar discomforting/uncomfy feeling about @//an-honest-endeavor’s posts that many others have been experiencing as well, including me.

Please, please, don’t go after the endeavor blog, or any blog that associates with him. This is just a simple explanation on why me and many other MHA rp accounts will not be communicating with him any longer. This is not a call-out post, and no one will be discriminated against if they’re close with the endeavor blog.

1. Sudden flirty/ooc comments that is confirmed to me that the admins felt a little uncomfortable, but kept in character anyway to not upset the Endeavor blog

The anonymous admins for the Chrono and Overhaul blogs explained to me how they felt pressured into answering Endeavor’s reblogs. I understand where they’re coming from- especially the SS’s on Overhaul’s end where Endeavor gets agitated in the first 2 images- and immediately switch up in the 3rd SS where Endeavor tags Overhaul in a separate post. On Chrono’s end, the admin also felt stuck when responding. Yes, they could have completely ignored him- but there are people pleasers that have a hard time saying ‘no’ to others (*cough* I’m one of those people *cough*)

2. Denying endeavor’s actions that caused trauma to Dabi/Touya

We all are aware of Endeavor trying to atone his abusive ways towards his family from his past in the anime/manga, but the damage has been done and obviously it isn’t forgivable. The admin behind the Yumiko (OC) blog pointed these comments out from endeavor and it got me- very puzzled. The whole reason behind Touya being Dabi is mainly because of Endeavor’s abusiveness and parental neglect. The Yumiko admin expressed to me how stressed out they became when the admin behind endeavor went defensive, which I’m still very puzzled about because Yumiko wasn’t wrong about how parents could give their children psychological issues/trauma that weighs on their shoulders throughout growing up? Look at Natsuo, he wants nothing to do with Endeavor and refuses to forgive him despite him changing. If I was in the Todoroki’s shoes, I wouldn’t have forgave him either- honestly I’m with Natsuo on this one 😭

What baffled me the most is that the endeavor admin assumed yumiko’s admin was saying that all people with mental illnesses become serial killers..??? That isn’t what they were trying to say at all?? When I looked at the post myself, that just drew the line for me.

below will be my rules/requirments as well as a list of fandoms. please follow them all if you wish to rp with me. and if you're interested in rping, feel free to comment or message me.

ROLEPLAY RULES:

- descriptive/story/literate rp only. i'm not interested in rping script/text. 

- i only do double up rps. I’m not interested in just rping the canon character or original character for your rp. I don’t enjoy it and I want to actually be apart of it. rather than just play the love interest to your character.

- oc x oc or oc x cannon mainly. for my side. i usually only do oc x cannon esp if we're doing a fandom rp. obviously i would do oc x oc for an og rp. but if you'd rather do oc x oc, cannon x cannon for your side i'm fine with that. 

- it's very rare for me to do friendship based (platonic) rps, as i would like my side to be romantic. but if you want your side to be platonic, i can do that. 

- please try to copy my reply length to the best of your abilities. i need at least a paragraph or two.

  - i will not accept mary/gary sues. if i believe your oc is a mary/gary sue i will let you know. i do not mean to offend, i just find them annoying and wont enjoy the rp if your oc is like this.

Kaji's Music

MHA / BNHA OC

In certain anime, such as Fairy Tail, the main characters have their own songs. I wanted to have something like this for Kaji, I don't think any other OC has something like that, which makes it unique to me.

That's why I played around with Suno and created some instrumental songs with the AI.

Two songs were created where I immediately had things in my head about what would happen and I would like to share that with you!

Song 1

My interpretation

Kaji has the problem that people don't see him as a person. They only see him as the villain Dabi and that he becomes just like him, even though he is completely different.

When I heard the song for the first time, I immediately had a scene in my head where he stands in front of Hawks and makes an emotional announcement that he is aware of his father's actions.

But he also mentions that his father only became like that because Enji ignored him back then and let him fall into the water like a stone that can only sink.

He ends his speech with the words “I won't become like him!” and his determination is so strong that there is no room for contradiction.

Thanks to an RP with @SamajiTomiroko on Twitter/x, I had a journey through time in mind.

The thought was buzzing around in my head that Kaji had been thrown into the past by an opponent's quirk. There he joins the league simply because he wants to meet his father.

However, he keeps a low profile so that no one finds out who he really is. He always hides his face behind a mask and a hood because his appearance would immediately give him away. In battle, he does not use his flames so as not to reveal his true identity. So he only relies on his melee combat and speed in combat.

When I first heard the song, the scene of how he might fight Endeavor went through my head, but without his flames, he doesn't stand a chance.

He is faced with the choice of keeping his identity a secret or perhaps saving Himiko or someone else from the League from the heroes. Since he has grown fond of the others, he decides to fight and uses his flames.

The flames of Endeavour are rushing towards him and just before they reach him, he raises his hand, only to use his flames as a shield and freeze the flames of Enji.

Everyone is silent in disbelief as Kaji lands elegantly on the frozen structures of the flames. They only knew blue flames from Dabi and flames who could freeze were completely unknown.

How I came to Kaji

Kaji Black is my OC that I created for my fanfiction. The reason why this character was created was because I wasn't at peace with the ending of Dabi / Touya Todoroki and wanted to create something to compensate for that.

However, I respect the work of Kōhei Horikoshi and refuse to change anything about it... Why should I, it's not my work, but I added something behind the scenes that you didn't see that led to Kaji.

At the age of 23 or 24, it is quite conceivable that Dabi had someone with whom he became intimate. Since I like realism, I used a female OC called Rain Black. Her Quirk is called Dark Phoenix and she controls dark red to almost black flames via her feathers, which can burn anything in seconds. (Almost like Shigaraki's disintegration)

Rain is a European character who works as a mercenary and had to return for a mission. (France, Germany... I'll leave that to the reader where.)

Shortly before she wanted to return, it turned out that she was pregnant. However, that was exactly the time when the last war began in Japan and she stayed in Europe to protect her unborn child. When it was all over, she learned from the media that Touya had been captured and was about to die, so she stayed in Europe.

This is the basic story of Kaji.

have i ever told you all how wild i think it is that Kai has a fandom?

like, the fact that people are consuming my writing and enjoying it and INVESTING themselves in the story?

thats so fucking amazing to me

kai as a concept started when i was around 9, when i listened to my first batim fansong, “gospel of dismay” by DAGames. i attached to the bendy character so much, i created this character that acted as his daughter like the cringe little freak i was.

around the same time, i had listened to “why did i say okie-doki?” by the stupendium, and attached to the monika character in the same way.

as i grew, kai grew with me. her story slowly became an amalgamation of fandoms i enjoyed, all set in the town of unington (which i stole from “peggy suave”, a music series uploaded to youtube by sim gretina). there wasnt really an overarching plot, some angst scattered here and there, but in my head, it was a semi-episodic series that revolved around Kai and her friends, and her adventures as ‘the savior of the multiverse’.

it wasn’t till i started writing ‘showstopper’, a bnha x oc fic, and uploading it to wattpad in 2021 before i started seeing intrigue for kai and her story.

before that, kai only existed as comics in my sketchbook that i showed to friends, or nobody at all. i was into mha, and i didn’t like the insert character’s personality in most x readers, so i decided to write my own. with kai.

people loved kai. i had consistent readers, commenters, and as of now, it sits at 7.5K reads. people felt for her, kinned her, and slandered any characters who didn’t like her.

eventually, my interests faded. and showstopper remains unfinished.

other than showstopper, Kai still didn’t really have a bunch of deep lore. she still was her little fandom amalgam, with her bits of angst.

but that all changed when Hatchetfield came into the mix.

in mid 2023, early 2024, @local-soda-can (and @chillibeanos somewhat) introduced me to the starkid original musical, ‘the guy who didn’t like musicals’. they loved it, and so did chilli, as they had been doing some oc insert stuff with it (btw, go check them out, their character Bean Sprout is so awesome!,).

I, however, wasnt too keen on watching.

I’m a very hard person to get to watch anything with an hour+ runtime. longer time commitments spook me, and with TGWDLM being over an hour, i wasn’t planning on watching.

until we had a sleepover, and i did.

and i fell in LOVE.

immediately, i had me and fizz start rping through The ‘Kai’ Who Didn’t Like Musicals, as i dubbed it.

the rp finished on September 14, 2023 and that was that.

that was all TKWDLM was supposed to be.

that was all Kai In Hatchetfield was supposed to be.

a series of RPs with a friend.

that was, until, one fateful wednesday, September 20th, 2023, i was watching TGWDLM after school.

earlier, i had the RTC script printed out to read, and i had thought: ‘man. i wish i had the script for this show.’

and then i thought, ‘wait, i have a laptop! what if i just typed out/downloaded the script?’

and as i sat there, on my laptop, i had another thought.

‘Wait, i have the rp, that’s practically all in script format, it has almost all the parts, what if i just turned it into an actual script?’

and thus began a two month long journey of transcribing the musical/rp into a script.

when i uploaded TKWDLM to tumblr on November 27 of that year, i honestly wasn’t expecting people to actually read it.

of course, i had hoped people would!

but honestly, she was 130 pages, she was kinda cringe, and she was honestly just meant for me.

I did NOT expect fans.

I did not expect people like @androgynous-sack-of-flesh-3 (hi there!) to go through my blog, scrounging for every last drop of Kai I made

I did not expect people to invest themselves into Kai’s story, and cry at her death during the ending.

Most of all, I did not expect people wanting more.

The Kai in Hatchetfield series was supposed to end at TKWDLM. I wasn’t planning on transcribing the nmt rps I did with my friends. I wasn’t planning on doing more scripts.

Until one anon in my inbox made the brilliant pun:

‘Nightmare Kai-me.’

With that post, I uploaded a poll asking if people wanted to see an actual NMK series.

And to my surprise, people did.

And thus, I started writing.

And that was a catalyst.

From there, I have gained so many followers, so many fans, all wanting more of Kai.

I have people like @raspberrysmoon (hi pooks :3) theorizing about the overarching lore of nmk, and even writing their own fanfic series revolving Kai (shoutout to sotbaw!).

I have people invested.

I have people who want more.

And that is so shocking to me.

I never expected my silly little story to reach so many people.

I never expected people to be touched by it.

I never expected to make people feel.

And, honestly?

I can’t help but say thank you.

You all are the reason I keep writing.

You all are the reason I keep publishing Kai’s story.

Without you, there would be no nmk. There would be nothing more than a script sitting in my google docs, one that I’d eventually forget about.

All I can say is thank you.

Thank you for giving me a space to share my writing.
