Mirio: *He popped his head through the door with a smiley face.* “Y/N, you ready for our date? I got your favorite!” 

“Mirio, I’m coming! Jeez, just please give me a few more minutes to get ready alright? Why are you even rushing me?”

Mirio: “But it’s special, it’s our special day today!” 

“As if the last dates weren’t special enough..you keep stalling like that and we might end up later than expected..” *They muttered as you were just about almost done getting ready in the bathroom, stepping out to grab your purse, you couldn’t help but pause to laugh as they saw Mirio just phasing through, his baby blue eyes popping out as he was making goofy faces.* 

“Ah, oh here’s for my one and only, my sweet, beautiful gorgeous Y/N..” *He said as he wiggling both of his eyebrows in a flirtatious manner, but just as he was handing the flowers, he slowly realized that he was bare naked, except for having his boxers on of course.* “Oh right…hehe.” He phased his whole body out to grab his clothes and opened the door to change back into them before the two of you head out to a small 70s themed diner, shaving two plates of burgers and flies, sharing a vanilla smoothie together with two swirly straws from both ends.

“C’mon Y/N! You already look pretty/handsome as you already are! We’re gonna be late, you think that someone already took our reservation spot? Ooh, I can’t wait to actually go and be on a romantic soirée, all of the music and the scenery. It’ll be just spectacular…OH MY GOD!” *She was waiting on Y/N’s dorm bed, laying down forward with her feet kicking up the air as she was already dressed up, wearing a white sleeveless silk shirt and some navy blue slacks, her jaw dropping as she saw you, all fresh and in much more date night attire. She hopped off the bed as she walked up to you, looking at you in awe.* “Y/N..you’re so perfect, omggg. I just wanna kiss your face off, can’t we just cancel the date right now-!” *You grabbed her facial cheeks as she was practically melting into your touch as you smiled down at her.*

“No, Neji. We’re going to be late! You can continue talking while we’re on the way there.” 

“That’s not fair, I wanna stay on here with you! Why don’t we just have a date night in here instead?” “Because it’s just better to go out more and spend time with the person I love the most.” *You stated as you held your hand out towards her, giving her a grin.* “And plus the movie theater is 30 minutes from here. We might end up being late if we don’t leave now.” And so the two of you went out on a movie theater date watching a cute movie together, you wrapping an arm around her shoulder as the two of you were sharing popcorn.

Tamaki Amajiki

Tamaki Amajiki: *The elven haired boy seemed rather nervous as he was standing outside of the dorm, holding a small group of flowers he picked out from the school garden, leaning his head towards the wooden wall in front of him as he was contemplating even going in the first place, he just couldn’t stand the thought of just being together in public at all, it was making his legs shaking by the minute. That was until he was so lost on thought that once you opened the door, he fell down on the floor inside the dorm, his while body tilted forward.*

“Tams, watch out!” *You caught him just in time before he accidentally concussed himself, holding him by the shoulders.*

“R-Right, sorry Y/N..also about that date, m-maybe we should just not go. I wouldn’t want to bother you and…and..” *His eyes widened as he saw the sight of you, all dolled up and so breathtaking that he just froze, seeing you in such formal attire.* “Y/N..you look…” *He gulped as he stared down at the flowers beginning to wilt in his trembling hands. For some weird reason, he just had that little spark in his shy brain telling him to be honest as he was clearing out all of the doubts in his mind when he saw your pretty face, those gorgeous eyes staring back at him as you were looking to the side for a moment as the two of you shared an awkward moment of silence, his ears and face turning red like a tomato.* 

“Forget about what I said earlier..you look so beautiful, like extremely beautiful..” *He blurred out as he looked directly towards the ground, handing her the small flowers.*

*You were definitely the bashful type as you heard his simple yet thoughtful words as you fixed up your hair. You didn’t really mind the unkept flower, just the fact that he muster up the courage to even ask you out in the first place, especially since you were on a busy academic schedule* “Oh..why thank you, Tamaki. And those flowers..they look so lovely.” And so, after a shy yet awakes silence, the two of you made your way down to a quiet hill place which was sort of your own little spot to watch the fireflies surrounding you both.

MIRIO TOGATA X SPELL QUIRK READER HEADCANNONS

-Mirio is known to be bubbly and very cheerful, however after the war he became a little more muted.. That was until he met you! After seeing you in action, defeating a 8ft tall demon, he realized how strong you were. As you were apart of class 2-A, everyone knows you as a protective and bubbly person..You’re also a lot like Mina, with the ways you cheer on and cheer up people when need be!

-You had met Mirio previously, but that was when you had first started training so you were really quiet, and tried really hard to keep yourself on the down low.. But you soon broke out of your shell!

-You were also the charmer, much like Denki, you had a flirty personality.. So even when you weren’t trying to flirt, you would end up accidentally doing so.. However! this is what started yours and Mirio’s bond together.

-After you had mastered your quirk, people were a little iffy-about you.. Some even going to the extent on calling you a monster or a villain, becuase of your dark demeanor. But that did change after you became more popular and open with social media, and fans!

-You had formally met Mirio when you were having trouble studying.. Now, you were a very set person when it can to your studies, but you did get overwhelmed really easily.. And with hero training, skipping lunch, and have 18 pages of homework needing to get done.. Forgetting how to set up a math equation you started to cry.. But not becuase you were upset, but becuase you were overwhelmed and overworked.. And that’s when Mirio phased through the wall to help you out..

-Mirio had ended up being a big person in your life. He influenced you to try new foods, to add onto your hero costume, and also helped you create your ‘signature’ smile..

- He’s surprisingly good at math. And he feels comfortable crying around you too whenever he gets into his deep thoughts..He also definitely wears reading glasses, like ones that frame his face perfectly and sit opon his nose smoothly..

-You guys are like the power duo when it comes to training.. People either want to train with you two or watch the two of you train.. it’s as if you both have chemistry on and off the field.. You are very fierce and competitive, and that’s what gets him turned up!!

-When you meet his friends, they immediately like you.. And the more you hang out with tamaki the more he becomes open.. You’re like a goth Mirio, and that’s always an interesting sight

-You get people telling you your pretty, and hot constantly.. And Mirio isn’t the jealous type, however if it someone from his grade or someone that knows your dating he’ll go crazy..But in a low-key sereat way.. you feel me..

-He loves admiring you and watching you as you openly choose his only black, and dark blue hoodies.. He also likes to mess around with your signature top-hat, that’s used in your hero costume outfits.. He acts like he’s a magician constantly..

-At one point you end up surpassing him when it comes to strength..As well as mussel mass.. Because of your quirk you can also change the mass of your body weight, making yourself almost impossible to lift up.. Which makes him work even longer while building and working on his mussle mass..

-You’re really good with Eri, you take her under your wing and make sure she’s loved.. It also helps that your best friends with Shinso, so she was more comfortable with you from the start.. But I definitely think having Y/N being good with kids is a turn on for Mirio..(like makes him want to give you his kids-in case that sounded wrong)..

-Alaways hypes you up and lets you know, you’re the apple of his eye.. He loves it whenever you play with his hair, while lovingly babble on about your day.. And the two of you can’t be away form each other for very long, or else the two of you will start acting up..

My Hero Academia Shipping in Fanfiction - Izuku Ships (2024 Edition)

*All data is as of 12/22/2024*

Six years ago I started a [little project] ([2019], [2020], [2021], [2022] editions, i forgot to do 2023 until it was too late) to see what the fic numbers were for certain ships on Ao3 and Fanfiction.net, and today I wish to show this year's stats! The first time I only did seven characters, in 2019 I did eleven, in 2020 I did 15, in 2021 I did 20, in 2022 I did 24, and this year 27 (adding Monoma, Tamaki, and Mirio).

So now, to the specifics.

To do this, I basically looked at the numbers for tagged ships in the filter system each site has (which was a lot easier for FF.net than Ao3). I excluded poly, OC, and x reader ships as that would have questioned my sanity to track them all down. I also excluded any ships that fell below 1% or 0.5% (case by case basis) cause I didn’t wanna cite every ship that might have 1 fic in existence (this takes an entire day to gather the data as is).

Certain characters were unique in that their fic numbers being so high that certain ships got buried, so I split them into Combined and Heterosexual so you could see more. Izuku was the only case that required this on both Ao3 and FFnet, the rest this was only on Ao3.

Crossover fics on FFnet were excluded as they are not included with the main set of fics (though people still post crossovers on the main set anyways), which means I would need to do double the work for each ship. Luckily they are a small data set (less than 10%) and usually have cross shipping over in-universe more often than not.

Illegal ships (kid x adult) were also excluded for obvious reasons.

For the charts themselves: The number next to the title of each chart is the total number of fics used for the data set. Colors are probably inconsistent as I had to use a slider to choose them, which reset with each new data set. Also if two of the same colors I assigned to characters happened to be right next to one another, I chose one as black (which only came to conflict in once instance). And finally, I used my preferences for name spellings and using first or last names.

Now to the flaws.

FF.net has a much smaller pool to pull from (Ao3 has almost 12x more MHA fics) and is limited to only being able to tag two ships at a time for a fic. On the flip side, ships that are tagged are guaranteed to be a showcase in that story. While Ao3′s numbers are impressive the downside is that writers can tag to their heart’s content, so lots of fics that get tagged for a ship often have little to no presence in the fic (or is just harem wank nonsense).

So super accurate, this is not. Take the data with a grain of salt.

I'll be posting each character on seperate pots but have a link on each to reach back to here. I will also post this on bokunoship reddit in the coming day.

Aizawa teaches kids all day, and with that you’d think he’d be exhausted having to come home to more right? Wrong, absolutely wrong. He always likes to say his kids are different, and they are, but for different reasons. Those are HIS kids, he helped you make them and it definitely shows in certain places.

Your babygirl is the most like him, she doesn’t really do anything on her own- but you do have twins! Your boy is amazingly energetic for his age, it’s honestly exhausting but when he’s so cute how can anybody complain? The two follow each other around like a train, and consistently follow you both as well.

Sometimes when you ask Aizawa to do their hair he will literally wet it, put shampoo and conditioner in it, then let them roam. No comb, no oil, just straight wild lion in there. When that happens you have to somehow lead them back into the bathroom with some sort of bribe and comb their hair.

Despite his many screw ups he’s a really good dad. The kids love him and are always by his side whenever he comes home. He constantly helps you out in putting the kids to sleep when they wake up from nightmares, or making sure they eat their food no matter how gross it is.

HAWKS

There’s something about kids that for a long time- Keigo couldn’t see himself with them, maybe it was his past or just how he behaved but he just didn’t think he was ready for kids. And then you came along and his world was shaken, twisted, and turned all the ways he thought his life would never be. So here you both are, married, in a house, with 2 year old twin nightmares.

He tries to be stern but whenever they cry he feels an immense guilt and immediately tries to redeem himself with them.

As someone with baby cousins, the kids definitely know how to manipulate him. Crying whenever they don’t get to play with him, or at the slightest drawback of attention.

Don’t even get me started on hair. You have to play bad guy and wash, comb, and style their hair because Keigo can’t do it himself, their crying just makes him go insane, he never wants to see them in pain. You however, don’t want to see them looking raggedy in public over a few tears, and have to style their hair anyways.

The twins love their daddy, and never want to be apart from them, so he decided to make Monday’s take your kids to work day at his agency. This day however, only applies to him.

“You want to bring in your kid? Does this place resemble a nursery? Get a babysitter or something.” As he says mid carrying his boy on his back and his babygirl on his waist.

After coming home from long days of patrol, seeing his babies crawling around together while you make them snacks is a sight he can’t get rid of. It’s the most domestic dream he’s ever had come true. The woman of his dreams and two beautiful children, what more could he ask for?!

When the twins speak their alien language Keigo tries to play it off and speak it back and sometimes it’s almost like he answered fluently because they’ll respond???

Overall, Hawks is a lover of his kids. He’ll play his favorite (kid friendly) songs in the car for the kids to listen to, has 15,000 photos of them taking up 90% of his phone storage, and a plethora of you as well. Together you both made the perfect little family.

FATGUM

Fatgum is absolutely fantastic with kids. I think his naturally caring nature pulls through in those moments.

With your little girl, he’ll hold her and let her rest on his stomach when she sleeps, and he’ll keep your boy wrapped up tight along with her.

Now sometimes the kids just don’t get along, and in those moments his kindness is far just too useless. Those kids will get what they want even if they can’t even say comprehensive words yet! Fatgum will have to separate them with his incredibly long arms and keep them in the palm of each hand. (Isn’t he like 8 foot something?!)

Tashiro is very whipped. VERY whipped. Like- when I say this I mean making flower crowns at 3AM so his babygirl looks like the prettiest sleeping beauty at school type of whipped. There’s no shame in it though! Absolutely none.
