I haven’t decided much of their backstory yet, but I’m thinking silver found a little half-broken robot in the future and brought them back to metal like “can we keep them :D” so the two fixed them up and have been raising them ever since

Reboot likes to keep to themselves, but they get along well with others and have a great sense of humor especially. they also love tinkering; they’re constantly picking up electronics and fiddling with them, experimenting with ways to modify and improve them!

I need you to know that this is such a rarepair I spent multiple seconds thinking you'd misspelled Mephilver XD This one was a bit tough to write since I've never considered Metilver before and I wasn't sure what angle to take (since I'm not sure if they'd be very romantic with each other and how that would work in the first place), but I hope you like it!🍀

With a face set in stone Silver glares Metal Sonic down.

What’s left of Metal Sonic, that is. ‘Hectic’ doesn’t do justice to their race through Death Yard Zone: the terrain had been fraught with danger, and Metal Sonic’s relentless attempts at slowing Silver down and killing him had been the frantic cherry on top. At least Nega hadn’t been lying about how Metal could put up a better fight this time; nary a smidge but at least an improvement, Silver panting and rubbing his side where an attack from the robot had struck. He’d retaliated in kind, and a buzzing, sparking heap of scrap metal on the ground in front of him proves his victory.

Metal Sonic groans, his fingers twitching into a claw as if he wants to strike Silver still. His other hand digs into the ground to pull him closer to the hedgehog, though he merely scrapes over the ground helplessly. “If you knew what’s best for you, you’d just give up,�� Silver notes, a smirk of victory forming on his face. He’d won, and he’s got to keep going: every second longer that Nega spends here is one that leaves the past and future alike in unfathomable danger.

…But a part of Silver pities Metal Sonic too. Despite his dented, torn body and the sparks of electricity raining down around him, he’s still flailing and clawing; his voice creaks and heaves as if he’s spitting a thousand curses at Silver and his victory. It hurts to feel this helpless, the hedgehog knows. And Eggman Nega will be irate with his stolen creation’s defeat.. What Eggman will do or say, Silver can’t predict.

Still, he can appreciate such relentless determination, such an inability to give up.

Gently the hedgehog presses a kiss against his fingers, before leaning down to stroke them over a metal cheek. “It’s a shame. Maybe if we’d been on the same side, we could have fought for a cause in the same way. I’d like an ally like you,” he muses absent-mindedly. “But we’re not… so this is goodbye. I hope Eggman comes and finds you here.”

Metal Sonic’s damage is truly beginning to take its toll: under Silver’s eyes the noises and movements he makes become less and less. It can’t be long before he goes offline completely, but Silver doesn’t have time to stick around for that; he needs to go capture Eggman Nega, the sooner the better. “Maybe we’ll meet again. I’d love a rematch,” he nods curtly; and then he blasts off, jumping over the robot to go face his adversary.

But if he comes across Eggman somehow during this adventure, he’ll tell him to go find his robot and repair him, Silver promises to himself.

He likes a determined opponent.

The little hedgehog looked between her father and sibling as they spoke, and blinked rapidly, looking to byte, and she falls for it instantly as her face brightens and tail wags, finishing a bite of her apple, she squeaks loudly in excitement. “Shitfuck!” Without skipping a beat, any impressionable little hoglet would be willing to repeat what their cooler older sibling would say! “Did i say it right? Shitfuck?” Nova questions and tilts her head, happy as ever to oblige.

There is currently a little hedgehog with a quillset too big for her damn head outside the house, struggling to use her psyckonesis to reach the apples dangling from an apple tree, since shes a small six year old obviously nova cant just reach the apples normally- but she seemed determined to get atleast one apple for her father. Which. Meant she was covered in alotta dust and dirt from falling so much trying to reach the apples. She may have snuck out of the house to do this but atleast shes not getting into anything dangerous? Wait. Scratch that. Shes climbing the damn tree now.

"Novaaaa! Where are you?!" Silver called out as he frantically searched for his missing daughter. He took his eyes off of her for one moment when he went to fetch something, then the next moment, she's not where he left her.

Metal was out running errands, so obviously he couldn't be asked where their child went. The only other person he could ask was his older child, Byte. "Byte, have you seen your sister?" He asked as he peered into Byte's room to see them playing a video game.

"I think I saw her outside. Or it could've been a Flicky. I dunno." He replied hurriedly, she was too focused on its game to fully pay attention.

"SHE'S OUTSIDE?!" Silver rushes outside to find the younger hoglet climbing the tree. "NOVA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" He doesn't seem aware of the volume of his voice.
