Moving to Beacon Hills had not been easy. Leaving behind Bristol Cove, the center, their home and friends, all the memories every corner of the town held for them. It'd been difficult to make the decision, even if Maddie had debated it through the years and had almost gone through with it after the siren song attack. She had never left though, for a long time she doubted she ever could. Then the news of the resurrected reached them, discussing the matter with Ryn, what exactly the dead returning could mean...

Relocating felt necessary. The why and how, how long it could take, whether their chances were low or even none existence; it didn’t matter. If there was a possibility, if there was even the slightest chance that those they had lost could come back, that they would be waiting in that small California town; they had to go. They had to try.

Maddie exited the examination room and found the secretary of the research department waiting for her. She was told her girlfriend and their child had arrived asking to see her, that a man was also accompanying them but Ryn had not introduced him. Maddie didn't ask any other questions, knowing that Ryn wouldn't have shared any information with the staff she didn't believe they needed to know, thanking her coworker and hurrying off to the office.

She felt nervous, tension rising in her body as she walked through the hallways of the aquarium, wondering what exactly was going on and why Ryn was bringing this man with her. A part of her, the emotional and wishful part of her, wondered if their months of searching had finally paid off, if their reason for moving to Beacon Hills had finally been proven to be the right decision. Maddie didn't want to assume though, she didn't want to get her hopes up and then haven them crushed once again. She had to remain calm, to stop her thoughts from racing, to focus and not speculate before she had all the information.

Maddie opened the door to her office and met the mermaid's gaze, a smile curling her lips as she greeted both Ryn and Hope. Brown eyes then lifted to the figure behind them, to the man the shorter brunette had brought with her, Maddie's eyes growing wide. She looked at Ryn, silently begging her for confirmation, begging to be reassured it was actually real.

Maddie looked at the man again. “Ben..” She hurried to him, holding back a sob as she wrapped her arms around him.

Ryn frowned, tilting her head and sniffing, before she nodded to herself. “Is mine.” She confirmed, shrugging, before she casually went back to her sandwich. “There was a shark. Hope killed it. It tried to bite me first.”

“I’m already dying... And losing a lot of blood... Stop with making it worse.” The boy coughs and raises a hand to try and push her hand away. He definitely doesn’t like that knife. “Listen, I’m trying to survive, okay?????”

Faye yawned as she woke up that morning, heading to her new high school, U.A. It was only the second week of classes and the entire waking up early seemed to still get to her. Either way, she quickly rose, ate, and grabbed some tea with a lot of caffeine in it to keep her up during classes. 

Classes went by pretty quickly, as they usually did, and Faye exited the grounds to head back home. This was her normal schedule, go to class, and then head back home. Sometimes she’d stop by a library to borrow a book or to return one, though that didn’t happen too much now that school had started up again. 

Faye unlocked her apartment door once she reached it and headed inside, flipping on the lights. She put her backpack down by in the small living room and grabbed her computer, booting it up. If one wanted to, they could see what she was doing through the window as it was getting darker outside and the lights inside showed a perfect view of her living room/dining room, and kitchen.

When Ochako came downstairs to the kitchen in the dorms to grab something to drink because she had woken up feeling rather thirsty, she hadn’t expected to see her. Himiko Toga. Ochako took a step back and felt around her sweatpants pockets, hoping to feel her phone so that she could call a hero. Crud..She left her phone in her room. She took a deep yet quiet breath and tried to back away slowly so the other girl wouldn’t hear her, though her foot caught something and caused her to trip up and fall back onto her bottom. There was no way the other girl hadn’t heard that but Ochako held her breath and hoped that the other girl hadn’t heard any of that.

“Ms. Toga, there’s no need to worry about your...friend. He is within my care, you’re welcome to stay here to watch over him, as long as you make it a point to not get in my way...”

The blonde crept up behind Izuku and lunged into him giving him a hug with a knife in her hand, "Boo!" ((She tried))

Izuku let out a yelp as someone suddenly was hugging him from behind. He couldn’t see who it was and he hadn’t even heard the person come up behind him. His eyes suddenly caught sight of something shiny in the one hand of the person who was currently hugging him from behind and his body tensed and he just literally froze with wide eyes. A knife. He took a deep breath in and turned his head just enough to see who he was dealing with here and he wanted to scream out loud when he saw who it was, though he held his scream in and just spoke, his words shaking. “W-What do you w-want?”

Ryn hadn’t worked that day, spending it out in the ocean, checking in on Hope. She hated being away from her, but until things were calmer in Beacon Hills, she reasoned that she was safer in the water. Ryn herself knew she would be too, but she was tethered to the land right now.

Even if he didn’t understand why, she hoped he appreciated it.

She’d picked up some fish for dinner, and stepping into the kitchen, she saw Ben sitting there, and she looked away, awkward. 

“I brought dinner. You can cook, if you like.” She explained. If not, she’d just eat her’s raw. Busying herself in the kitchen, she glanced over. “Hope is good. She went hunting with the others after I left.” She didn’t know if he resented her for sending her away, but she had to do the best for her daughter.

"Oooh~! Who's this?" Toga gazed at the new figure before her. She looked them up and down to notice a woman wearing a familiar looking mask. Her cheerful expression slightly dropped realising it was just another member of that Yakuza gang. "Oh. You're apart of that silly Yakuza gang." She stated with disappointment in her eyes.

Her head tipped, the mask making it appear like a curious bird’s expression before she spoke through the muffle of its covering-- this woman...this girl. She’d heard of her, but had not seen much. 

‘ The yakuza is not silly. ‘ the answer was simple, her tone indifferent-- more so at the fall of that overjoyed expression. There was something satisfying about the blonde’s disappointment. ‘ And who I am is not really your concern-- Himiko Toga, is it? Your name is...famous. ‘ she smirked, beneath the mask.
