okay gamers I think we’re back in the pits bc I fell asleep putting together a DT timeline for eyrie and estinien

#it’s up in the air rn I could change my mind #I was reading old fic and. yeah. yeah #their whole like. thing in radz at han before eyrie returns to sharlayan and meets wuk lamat #the whole could it work out if things had been different #if they were both different people. but maybe they never would have fallen in love #the horrid thing is that Estinien is terribly in love w eyrie still #all through DT it’s like. he still loves them so so much #time makes the heart fonder but he was already so fond #and eyrie is too. seeing Estinien in the throne room was just like a punch to the gut #of how much they did miss him #and they catch him afterwards before he leaves #they spend an evening together out in tural #augh they’re eating my brain #I do think in post-DT they are approaching being together again #eyrie set aside a lot of stuff in DT #it wasn’t easy that’s for sure but it’s different compared to ShB and EW #in a way it’s like how their time in the firmament finally let them put haurchefant to rest #the way the yok huy see death lets them….come to terms with the grief and loss of hydaelyn #they spend a lot of time with the yok huy after DT #we’re talking weeks of time being a recluse in the mountains #they glue a lot of journal pages into these wide drawing spaces #and they make large paintings akin to the yok huy murals #one for venat. for themis. for their dearest ardbert #there’s an unfinished one for Hermes and Zenos #they healed a lot in DT #oc: eyrie kisne #dawntrail spoilers #endwalker spoilers #I’m messy and I’m gonna work on my timeline now

I have never had an actual sketch book before, I usually draw on printer paper. But I have been feeling stuck with picking up a pencil, so I thought, why not try out getting a sketch book for just random doodles and nonsense and not like have any expectations for the quality or making something out of them.

I talked about drawing some dragons again a while back, so here we go. I tried a basic pencil instead of a mechanical one for a change. I didn't remember how much messier it is.

This dragon & bard pic turned out really cute, I might actually clean it up at some point.

#thoughts from hel #so basically i submitted a cover letter with some highlighted text in random colors bc i forgot to unhighlight them before submitting #(i highlight things to remember to change them for each job app but i might have to deprecate that practice after this)#and then i realized and was like oh fuck and i was like well maybe i should just own it y'know. it's me being super innovative and creative #and also since i highlight stuff to change all the highlighted texts were the most relevant parts of the cover letter anyway #but the highlighting job was messy as hell after i dragged sentences to and fro all over it while i was formulating that thing. like #the highlighting started kind of in the middle of my sentence and had extra highlighted spaces and colors n stuff it was. haphazard.#so i was like okay. i probably can't gaslight (by sending psychic vibes to the recruiter-- since it's an online form #with no direct communication between me and them whatsoever) the recruiter into reasonably thinking this highlighting job #was on purpose. so i spent a full like TWO EXTRA HOURS spiraling into “can i submit the form twice or should i just take the L on this”#and ultimately submitted it a second time with the fixed letter. uhhh hopefully it was the fixed one but i'm too tired to care now #part of the job description was “attention to detail” so i definitely failed that one the first time around but the recruiter #who reads (hopefully. because with how saturated the job market is now they might not even do that) my apps #had BETTER see all the fucking attention to detail i paid to making sure my decision to resubmit would be a good one #telepathically. of course. (the difference between overthinking and attention to detail is how much you are appreciated)#i literally went on so many forums and the help page for the recruiting application website thing to find out how exactly they handled #duplicate applications bro i could RECITE this shit to anyone now. fuck #time to go to sleep. tomorrow is a new day. with ten+ more companies to apply to. 👍

looking thru old sketchbooks and it is insane how the way i draw changed basically overnight from pre- to post-bone notebooks in college

#those two projects forced me to come up with a very streamlined way of doing linework bc Hard Deadline and planning for time #and i just. kept it forever after. bc its objectively better. i accidentallied my way into efficiency and cleaner linework lmao #its also funny seeing the first few pages of the first notebook and the gradual shift. like the 'yeah this aint working' in real time LOL #(this only goes for traditional stuff tho my digital art is still SO messy)
