Peri and Pearl restyled because Kala was the only GSR character who fully worked the overwhelming colors and clothing designs of that line. I emphasized precious metals with silver and gold theming for the twins, replacing Pearl's earring with Sirena's, giving them a trimmed Farrah Goodfairy dress for a top, and redoing their makeup in only blue, silver, and gold while swapping the color balances. I also repainted their fins to all match their skintone and the fins on their arms, though this paint is very very fragile. Read my full review of the twins here.

found this “mermaze mermaidz” at my local ross for $9! i was literally stunned by her beauty (drove away with regret, did a u turn, went back to the store, grabbed her, then left) and had to take her home with me! her name is riviera and she’s my first of this brand of doll! does anyone else collect these? ☺️

p.s. - she also comes with a silver jacket with shoulder spikes and a purple guitar! i’ve also heard through the grapevine that her tail changes color, which is so cool! should i try it????? 🤭

meant to post these sooner but I have been soooo busy putting off crafts to think about posting pictures lol

ANYWAY as a late Xmas gift to myself I got two mystery boxes of these girlies from kikagoods and tbh I love them so much.

Like this is almost what im looking for in mermaid dolls, and they feel so good in my hands. My only complaint really is that the little one is SO FRICKING LOOSE she is so wiggly and hard to pose but shes cute so ill forgive it for now. Also her hair doesn't totally sit right but whatever.

I was finally comfy ordering these girlies bc I had picked up my grump bump boy at a toy show and he's so fantastic, literally one of my favs, so natch I needed more. Might order another of the bigger one when I have money again, bc even if I get a repeat I can just modify her bc I enjoy how her tail is made so much

Lalaloopsy Bubbly Ocean Seabreeze!

I’ve wanted her for forever! My parents told me the first time I bought her to send her back since I was “too old” for these types of toys, but this time she’s all mine! I got her for $30 in box on eBay, and for anyone else who wants to get started with collecting Lalas, I highly recommend her. I might be biased, though, since I’ve wanted a mermaid doll for YEARS!

While most collectors don’t care for gimmick dolls, the little girl that was neglected inside of me for years LIVES for this stuff. Embarrassingly, I used the entire bottle of bubble solution in one go… here’s me having fun with her after taking a shower :3

I have no complaints with the doll herself, or even her little water-squirting octopus pet (who actually made me nostalgic, as while I wasn’t allowed to have dolls as a kid I did have a rubber whale who squirted water similarly).

I just wish MGA didn’t have such wasteful packaging! There was a lot of extra plastic in it that wasn’t needed. While the shell tub with the little pillow for the doll is probably good for kids who aren’t using her in a real bathtub, I also wish that maybe she could’ve just been a dedicated bath time toy and had come with a stand, as she’s a little awkward to display just by leaning her against something. Overall, Ms. Seabreeze fits right in with the pastels of my other dolls!
