He's A Pirate - Pirate! Eddie Munson x Mermaid! Reader

Summary: Captain Eddie is traveling for the seven seas with his first mate Steve Harrington and their crew, but to reach the treasure island they've been looking for about four years now, they have to go through The Mermaids Bay on a Blood Moon night which many legends are told about. That sounds dangerous, doesn't it?

Warnings: mention of drinking, (h/l) = hair lenght, (h/c) hair colour, (e/c) = eye colour.

A/N: Hey there, my Eddie loving fellas! This is my first fics ever about Stranger Things and Eddie Munson ofc hahah. I want to make this a mini serie, so please let me know if you want part 2.

The wind blew harder than usual, pushing itself against the white sails which were light orange because of the light of the Blood Moon which could be made out of the blood of all the sailors who were captured by the mermaids a lot of legends told about.

But Captain Eddie didn't believe a word of those silly legends!

He was just standing there, proudly point his sharped sword towards the horizon to announce anyone who dared to get in his way his arrival.

"Together we will conquer every island, fighting the most dangerous creatures the world can provide and finally, I, Captain Edward Munson, will be the king of the seven seas!" He repeated his iconic line.

"You told this about a thousand times today." First mate Steve Harrington complained before to take a sip from his rum bottle. "You should cut it off repeating that childish line all day long." He added.

"But people should know who's soon gonna rule them all." Eddie jumped down from his spot.

"You told this about a thousand times, too." Steve took one more sip as he was slowly beginning to forget what patience was.

"You're gonna thank me once we'll get to put our precious hands on that freaking treasure." He looked through his telescope to scan the horizon once again which caused Steve to roll his eyes at him.

In the meantime, their crew mates, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Gareth, Jeff, an unnamed freak and their new addition Erika, Lucas' younger sister, were sitting on some barrels to discuss about the treasure they had been looking for about four years.

"What do you think those old folks put in that old wooden chest?" Dustin asked his mates.

"Gold coins?" Will suggested.

"Jewerly?" Mike added.

"Pearl necklaces?" Jeff suggested.

"That's jewerly, too." Dustin whispered and Jeff pulled an 'oh...' face at him.

"More maps to find more treasures?" was Erika's theory.

"That would be too silly of them." Lucas immediantly contradicted his sister.

"These are all good theories, but first we have to find this chest to find out." Gareth reminded. "We've been navigating for about four years now and nothing to be found yet."

"We should ask Eddie about that." Erika spotted Eddie talking to Steve, probably both drunks already, before to get up her way to go to her captain.

Everyone nodded in agreement and got up from their barrels to march to their captain and his first mate.

"Excuse me, long haired freaking captain." Erika spoke, making sure to catch Eddie's attention.

Eddie turned to the girl. "Yes, Sinclair?"

"How long is it gonna take before we find this 'treasure' island?" She gestured open brackets. "Is that even real?"

"Well, all the retired captains I confronted before to sail told me that the treasure island should be right behind the corner..."

A smile of relief begun to appear on their faces.

"... but not before we pass The Mermaids Bay." He finished.

"M-m-mermaids?" Jeff was shivering like a leaf, clutching to Dustin, who begun to shiver as well. "B-b-bay?" He tried to finish.

"Yeah, what about that?" Eddie raised an eyebrow at the two scared little mouses.

"Legends say that all the sea dogs that tried to sail this dark bay..." Jeff begun.

"... were put under a spell by the mermaids singing which leaded them to fall in the trap, with their whole crew and ship, elaborated by these beautiful, but dangerous creatures." Dustin continued.

"And they were never ever seen again." Jeff finished, giving everyone a serious look.

Eddie stared at them concerned for a moment... before to burst into a fit of laughs.

"What's funny?" Dustin asked him. "Yeah, it's a true story!" Jeff specified.

"Yeah..." A tear escaped from Eddie's eye which he quickly wiped away with his index finger. "And I believe it." Eddie kept laughing, slapping his knees before to begin hold his stomach which was twisting for the laughs.

Steve stared at his captain and then stared at the kids. "Tonight is gonna be the night of The Blood Moon, too."

The kids, most likely Dustin and Jeff, begun to panic and pronunced 'Oh, it's really late! We're going to bed! 'Night!' as an excuse to run lower deck to hide and the others followed them behind; Lucas, who was most of the time the cold-blooded of the crew, panicked as well and grabbed his sister by the hand to drag her away with them.

Eddie and Steve were now alone.

"Well, I guess I'm going to sleep, too." Steve faked a yawn and took a last sip before to pass the now empty bottle to Eddie, wishing him a good night and head his way to bed.

Now Eddie was pretty much alone. He already planned to stay awake, though, so he knew he would be.

He took control of the helm after grabbing a new bottle of rum for himself; he insisted it helped him to concentrate though Steve told him tons of times it wasn't a good thing to do because it wouldn't take a long time for hum to crash against a rock.

Steve even made a bet on that and sweared on Dustin's mother he would celebrate, drinking all the bottles himself, if he won.

The fog begun to cover his view, so he couldn't see a thing, but he could hear a beautiful enchanting voice coming from afar.

At first, he simply tried to ignore it, taking a few more sips of rum as he believed it was just his mind playing tricks on him, but it was just too captivating to resist; he dropped the anchor, so he could leave the helm to go see what was happening.

Through the fog, he could barely spot a female figure with a human bust and a fishy tail, lying on a rock.

As it begun to fade away, he could see it better: it was a beautiful woman with (h/l) (h/c), enchanting (e/c) and a sparkly and scaly tail; her beautiful figure was highlighted by the red moonlight.

'For my uncle's golden teeth...' he though to himself, 'so... beautiful.' An enchanted smile grew on his lips; he had never seen such a beauty in his whole life.

Her hair looked just silky and soft to stroke, her tail was pretty interesting to examinate and her eyes seemed to talk to him.

Her glossed lips seemed to tune the same captivating melody he heard earlier.

The boys, Erika and Steve were hiding their faces under their pillows as her voice didn't sound as tunful in their ears as it sounded in Eddie's.

The woman jumped from the rock and seemed to be swimming to another one, closer to the ship.

"Hello there, sailor." She looked into Eddie's chocolate brown eyes as deep as the ocean with no shame.

"Hi..." He was a bit shyer, but kept eye contact with her as he managed to fall under her spell, enchanted by her beauty.

He couched to clear his throat and boldly introduced himself. "I'm Eddie Munson, Captain Eddie Munson."

"Oh, what a lovely name you've got there, Captain. My name's (Y/n)."

"Nice to meet you, little mermaid."

She shyly chuckled as her cheeks slighty heated up.

He was about to reach out her hand and so she was, when...

"Eddie!"

Dustin's voice seemed to be calling him and he was pulled back to reality.

"Eddie!" Dustin's eyes expressed all his worry. "We though you fell under the mermaids' spell!" His eyes looked like he was about to cry.

"Sorry, I..." Eddie tried to explain, but Steve cut him off.

"No time to explain. You should get a bit of rest. I'll be at the helm for tonight." He gently pushed him lower deck with the kids so they would make sure he would get some rest.

For all the time, Eddie could think of nothing, but that beautiful mermaid he met; was that only a dream or was it real?

Fish Are Friends Not Abominations

The entire Justice League have been on edge lately watching as a giant creature the size of planet dart around the Milky Way galaxy in an almost panicked state. Despite it's very appearent size it hasn't done anything harmful, passing through planets and stars with intangibility.

Constantine on the other hand was freaking the fuck out. There was a giant realms being with a crazy amount of power searching for something and it felt like the universe itself was holding its breath. He was honestly at his witts end when he felt it.

"YOU! What do you have?" He stopped his pacing to look at Batman's traffic light child.

"That's none of your concern." Robin snapped back.

"Robin." Batman's voice cut through their little conversation. By now every JL memeber was watching them.

"It's nothing–"

"Oh yes it is, now let me see it."

As if on que a tiny glowing humanoid creature popped into view ontop of Robin's head cooing and making warbled noises.

Constantine paled.

Robin took the being from his head and held it in his arms, pulling out a batarang and giving it to the thing which then began to bite it.

"Robin." Batman started, voice firm but sounding tired.

"This one found me first." He countered.

"It doesn't matter how you found it, we need to–" Constantine's words were cut off as the large creature released a noise that sounded almost like a whale but something like warbled speech mixed into it. What happened next sent his heartbeat into a marathon and his stomach to a deep trench.

Robin's little creature stopped chewing on its toy and responded with a cry of its own.

Welp they were fucked now.

The large creature's head snapped to their direction, eyes directly on the watchtower as if it could perfectly see them from such a distance and sped towards their location.

Under Her Spell - Pirate! Eddie Munson x Mermaid! Reader (Pt.2)

Summary: Eddie tells his crew about you, but they don't believe it at all... until a letter from you is found.

Warning: angsts (there will be a few more chapters, so it will have a happy ending, I promise).

Eddie couldn't think of anything else, but you and only you; he even lost sight of his first goal.

"She was beautiful, the most precious creature I ever saw in my life." He was telling the crew about what he saw that night while they were hiding from you and your fishy friends, craving love from a jolly sailor bold.

Dustin looked at him and then at his mates before to burst into the strongest laugh Eddie ever heard from him; Steve and other kids bursted as well.

"What's so funny?!" He asked, pulling out his sword.

"Do you think we believe you saw a giant female fish talking to you?" Dustin kept laughing by himself as the others realized Eddie could have fallen under your spell.

"You told me first!" Eddie protested because it was him and Jeff to be afraid of mermaids first and now they didn't believe that anymore.

"Did you fall under that fishy girl spell?" Steve asked, his hands on his belt and a serious look painted on his face with worry.

"Don't talk shit to me, Harrington! I, Captain Eddie Munson, would never fall for a stupid love spell! My heart is devoted to the treasure we've been looking for over four years and only to it."

"Whatever you say." Steve gave up.

"Hey, what's that?" Dustin motioned his mates to come to see as he spotted a floating bottle in the water.

Everybody went to see and they were shocked.

Who could've thrown that, some castaway stuck on an island asking for help or some clue meant to guide them to the treasure... or was that from you?

Steve picked it up with a fishing net and noticed a piece of paper through the glass; he removed the cork to pull it out and give it a quick read before to hand it to Eddie.

"For you, man."

Eddie looked at Steve concerned, then his eyes directly fell on the letter; he was surprised none of the words faded away with water, was that written with some sort of magic ink?

But his eyes widened when he noticed your sign at the end of the paper, realizing that letter was from you.

"My dear jolly sailor bold,

though we've been looking into each other's eyes for just a second, my heart is devoted to you and only you now. I'm grateful to The Bloody Moon and your boldness for guiding you to me. I can't wait to see you next time; in the meantime, I'll sit down and count all the shells under the sea, waiting for you. Oh, I also drew a map behind this paper that will guide you and your crew to the island you're looking for. Tonight me and my comrades are going to emigrate to north; whatever you need a guide, you can find me there. They don't trust humans at all, especially pirates, but I do; I know all you guys are looking for is gold, jewerly and anything precious existing in this cruel world. I hope we can greet each other tonight,nI swear to Neptune I'll try my best unbestknowning of them. I love you, to The Bloody Moon and back.

"Well, guess we should've believed him from the beginning." Dustin kinda apologized.

"See, I told ya'- hey!"

Erika stole the letter from him and read it as well. "Looks like love at first sight." She commented.

Eddie took his love letter back and held it close to his chest. "I swear on Dustin's mother she's real and I'll show you, tonight!"

"Oh, I can't wait." Steve rolled his eyes and crossed his arms to his chest.

When night fell, Eddie tried his best to keep the whole crew awake to wait for the next Blood Moon to introduce you to them.

Jeff gave up and fell asleep and so did Gareth... before Eddie stepped heavily to wake them up.

Now that they all were awake, they waited for a few seconds before the red light of the moon shined against the water to reveal a pack of mermaids swimming against the tide.

The other members of the crew gasped; they had no words to describe the magnificence of the event, but Eddie smiled as his eyes looked for you through the pack.

Suddenly you left the pack to swim up to the surface to meet his sight.

"Hi, sweetheart. How you've been doing?"

"I was sad... until I found you waiting for me."

Eddie could swear, his heart felt like a beating mess like it was about to pop out of his thick chest.

"This is my crew, darling." He pointed at the kids and his first mate.

"Nice to meet you all." You smiled at them.

"Nice to meet you, (Y/n)." Erika greeted you happily.

"You were right, Eddie." Dustin admited. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you."

"Consider yourself as forgiven, Henderson." Eddie accepted his apologies.

At that point, a lantern lighted up in Erika's head and she tried to ask: "Do you think you can guide us to the treasure?"

You took a few seconds to think about that... until you felt a hand grab your wrist and squeeze so hard; you forgot you were under the orders of the king, the one who guided the pack, he didn't trust the humans at all and what was worst is that he was your father.

"How many times have you been told you don't have to interact with sailors?!" He yelled, squeezing your arm even harder, you felt like it burned.

"And you!" He turned to Eddie, Steve and the kids. "Don't you dare to approach my daughter!"

He pointed to the sky and a bunch of dark clouds covered it all like a thunderstorm was about to come and you disappeared underwater with your father, the king.

"(Y/n)!" Eddie screamed.

"I knew it was a trap!" Steve yelled as he tried his best to save their supplies.

Thunders exploded in the sky like gun powder and the rain suddenly begun to pour.

Eddie ran to the helm, trying to control the ship, but the waves were turning higher and it was impossible to control.

The biggest wave of them all, the biggest wave they had ever seen in a thunderstorm ate the ship and they were suddenly wrapped in the deepest darkness.

Colorless, human design and some info under the cut.

So, the mer AU.

Some species of mermaids are known to haunt humans when they are hungry, other species don't. Sirens are known to sing (or scream at the sky, if you want to call it that) when a storm is coming.

Sun is inspired by flying fish, and the tongue by a sea butterfly's mouth. (because of the "wing" fins I would consider him a siren, but a lot of mythological creatures are called sirens so idk). He's clingy and an attention hoarder.

Moon is inspired by abyssal fish, lophiiformes (specifically those with antennas) and black dragon fish. He's pretty chill as long as is well fed. He purposely creeps out others with his antennas, and hates Sun's tongue thing.

And Eclipse is inspired by axolotls and leafy sea dragons. They're pretty pacific but won't hesitate in defending themselves when they can't find a way out. Their tail is strong, they can send you flying across the room.

Here is the human design (my selfinsert, Fern) + outfits and a size chart of them long boys.

In this AU Fern is a student at a marine biology university. They conserve and rescue marine life. Some of the rescued especies being the celestial trio, which were assigned under Ferns care with help from another student.

Some images of the three together in one picture that were supposed to be the header of the post but didn't decide which to chose so I'm putting here my 5 favourites. They don't quite fit well 'cuz I drew them separately.
