Meritites and Kiwi Magician Girl) It is perfectly okay if you only want to interact with them as the monster and not who they were beforehand, especially in the case of the next gen ocs I have.

Also, I'm sorry to new followers if my rules page seems intimidating. I promise there aren't a lot of rules and most of it is general etiquette, but I always worry that I don't explain myself well, so in the process of attempting to explain, I kind of ramble a bit. I don't really know if character introductions are supposed to have a designated information system – I kinda figured 'no' and if there is, who has the audacity to enforce that kind of thing? – but I did, @thatprolificauthor, decide to do a thing! I do not know what kind of thing, maybe just similarly snack-sized posts as the first one was, maybe I'll do something big, who knows! I'm still working on that. 

What I do know for now, is names. So allow me to introduce: 

Magical Girl - Destin Eaves: 

A flirty 'magician' with a healthy dose of trauma who also happens to have the best mom in the universe (it's true, he'll give you a dozen reasons why if you give him any chance to do so) and the cutest pet greek tortoise (a.k.a. Mediteranean Spur-Thighed Tortoise, not to be confused with African Spur Tortoises which are bigger) named Deborah. He was training a bunch of inept vigilantes to not be, well, inept, but that isn't working so well. 

Public Menace - Griffin Willows 

Your typical bad-guy mook. He likes being a bodyguard and intimidating people with his strength, but he hates pretending to be a villain so he can babysit the inept vigilantes. He enjoys a good spa day and loathes paperwork with all his soul. Griffin has worked for Cowl Nolan and by extent Calamite Industries for a few years now.

Ultimate CEO - Meritites Calamite 

May or may not be relevant, but Meritites Calamite is Griffin Willows's Boss's Boss. She runs Calamite industries as a scientific research company specializing in preventing/alleviating natural disasters which has recently extended into superhero gear and technology. She funds a superhero team referred to as 'Martyrs' as well as funding the 'Supervillain' organization (as of yet unnamed) run by Quincey and Cowl Nolan. 

Most Beloved Daughter - Audrey Calamite 

Adopted child of Meritites, Audrey Calamite is a precious small bean who loves pretty dresses, her mom, and running around doing New Things and meeting New People. I'd like to think she first heard of Destin from his personnel file and immediately asked her mom to get her 'that cool magician with the hat' for her next birthday party. She did not get 'that cool magician with the hat' but it was still a cool magician so everything worked out. 

Sketchy superhero - Daniel Cox 

More of a background menace than an active participant in Destin's stories, Daniel Cox is a demigod with superstrength and probably a few more abilities I haven't nailed to his coffin yet. He's a little excessively violent and has almost as many bastard children as the greek god Zeus. 

Sad Science Boi - Quincey Nolan (formerly Quincey Cox)

He does have his own WIP being worked on, but since that's not public and Destin mentions him I thought it best to add. Quincey was the black sheep of Daniel's bastards because he didn't have superstrength or any of Daniel's other powers and generally got tossed around like a ragdoll between his dad's enemies, relying on his siblings to save his butt once they finally realized he was missing. He got kidnapped by Cowl and opted to work for Calamite's supervillains instead of returning home. Turns out, Daniel never had a paternity test done. Whoops. 

I know I'll need to add more as I go but this is a good start!

{Just gonna start this off by saying that this pertains to my blog and my blog alone.

Duel Monster cards =/= the monster spirits themselves. 

While there may be four Blue Eyes White Dragon cards in the series, for example, there is only one actual Blue Eyes White Dragon, aka Kisara, around. Similarly, there is only one Red Eyes Black Dragon, Apple Magician Girl, Kiwi Magician Girl, Dark Necrofear, Dark Magician, and Dark Magician Girl.

The above monsters were all, at one point, human, but became a monster in one way or another. 

Kisara was cursed by the spirit of the white dragon, and gave up her life to fuse with said spirit to protect Set.

Chione was cursed by the Orichalcos and transformed into the Red Eyes Black Dragon due her rage and bitterness at her situation.

Akila turned her back on the Gods and attempted Necromancy to revive her little brother, whom she assumed was dead, and was thus cursed and turned into the Dark Necrofear.

Ament, Meritites, Mahad, and Mana all merged their souls with their respective Ka (Apple Magician Girl, Kiwi Magician Girl, Dark Magician, and Dark Magician Girl).

Lemon Magician Girl, Guardian Eatos, and the Ojama Trio are also one of a kind monster spirits.

But of course, that doesn’t apply to every monster. Monsters like Kuriboh or Skull Servant are a little more numerous in the Monster Realm. They all still have individual personalities, however. They are not a hive mind.

The cards in the Summoner’s Realm are just that: playing cards. However, sort of like the stone tablets which monsters were sealed away into in Ancient Egypt, the cards can be used to summon the actual monsters, but only if the duelist summoning them has a connection to the spirit of the monster themself. 

So, Rex can’t play a Blue Eyes White Dragon and suddenly Kisara herself is in Domino City, because Kisara doesn’t even know Rex. They have no connection. However, Yugi or even Bakura could, as they are reincarnations of the Pharaoh and the Thief King, and have been touched by their ancient selves, and thus have a connection with Kisara, who was also around during that time.

Rafael could summon a Red Eyes Black Dragon and have Chione standing at his side, since he’s been in contact with Dartz and the Orichalcos, and she’s from Atlantis, but Weevil would only summon a regular Kaiba Corp hologram.}
