Animafia is a dark drama story that takes place in a modern society, but in the future. Humans have gone extinct due to wars and pollution, but left the chance to new life form, in the form of embryo's mixed with animal DNA. This way, Animans were born. They have been evolving for centuries but in a series of unfortunate events they've grown to fall into humanities vices, including crime, drugs, violence and more.

The story revolves around the cat Animan named Metsume Holiver, who is the only daughter of a wealthy and kind man named Isak Holiver. Metsume grew up in a rich environment, and was sheltered from her dad's work, only interacting with those that lived with her (which to be fair were a lot of people). One day, she receives a phone call during her university history class, and is found with the news that her Father was publicly executed, and found dead on the town square. Metsume finds herself inheriting her father's business, the second biggest criminal organization in New Zoolia, named Animafia.

The story follows her learning how to deal with her new role and also seeking vengeance for her father, all awhile learning the truth behind the people she grew up close to but never knew what they did.

#i think everyone should do a writers watch like i only just started mine#and i chose buckleming of all people but. it's interesting to dive into the complexities of everyone's writing!#especially when the fandom at large would have you believe everyone who's not ben edlund or the like#is just an idiot keyboard smashing their way through an episode script. which is obviously not the case#for a show with hundreds of writers the fact that there's really only three or four the fandom consistently bitches about proves that#(also some of the people y'all are bitching about are actually good writers too coughcoughdabbcoughcough)#so yeah i definitely recommend doing a rewatch by writer. or at least go on the wiki and check out which episodes belong to who#there's a lot to unpack by doing so (@samsrowena)

aye. this one too. tbh i'd argue that bedlund is so well-remembered mostly bc he was an outlier in earlier seasons, where a lot more writers were doing episodes that leaned into the meta aspects of the story and were also putting our characters in Situations by the time he left. his more experimental and meta episodes would not be out of place in s11-15. like, truly the bar for writing quality was raised from s7/8 onwards... and i say this as someone who thinks s1 is largely banger after banger. (and i only say s7 bc robbie got hired lol, the season is very hit or miss otherwise.)

also like. as you know, i am Always On My Dabbnatural Shit and it bothers the hell out of me how much ppl seem to enjoy his episodes as long as his name isn't attached. also attributing dabb-loflin eps solely to him even tho i think he takes a massive step forward after they split (not to say the horrendousness of some of those eps are loflin's fault alone but i think dabb grew as a writer and person over the years and that deserves some recognition).

it really strikes me as odd how adversarial fans are about the spn writers and talk about hating them or thinking they're bad at writing. because 1) they're the ones creating/continuing this piece of media that you clearly do love or at least care about and 2) if they were genuinely bad at writing, you wouldn't be here. the show would've fallen off the viewership and ratings cliff and would have been cancelled years ago and not run for fifteen seasons.

and these folks will have the one or two writers that they stan but will claim they're the only ones who knew what they were doing and honestly? 4 episodes in a 20-23 episode season does not carry a season/show. no single writer is carrying an entire season on their episodes alone and it's not like they weren't conferring with each other at all during the writing process.

idk. it just feels really really weird to see folks be so negative about the ppl who are creating the thing that they supposedly love, and it seems like a really miserable way to engage with a piece of media. not to mention that tbh it's pretty disrespectful to the writers to assume that they have no knowledge of their own craft. the majority of writers on spn have been at worst competent (i am setting aside the content of their writing bc that's a separate issue. sera gamble die by my sword.)

and tbh so much of what ppl talk about in terms of writerly incompetence just comes across as personal gripes about the plot not going in the direction they wanted or an inability to grasp that spn is a goddamn genre show and not a family drama. genres have their own language and trope toolboxes and you need to meet it where it is, not criticize it for being something that it isn't and never was intended to be.

Vice President Kamala Harris is bringing on a new campaign hire as part of her team’s push to clinch must-win states this fall by keeping former President Donald Trump from running up the score in rural counties. Harris is tapping Matt Hildreth of the progressive Rural Organizing group as her rural engagement director, according to four people familiar with the plans who were granted anonymity to discuss the matter. Democrats have been hemorrhaging support in rural America for years, but making even a small dent in Trump’s steep rural margins could determine the outcome in battleground states that may be decided by razor-thin margins.

Hiring Hildreth, whose grassroots organization is already knocking doors for Harris and Democratic candidates across the country this fall, signals the campaign is looking to seriously expand a resource-intensive ground game to reach rural voters who could swing the election. The Harris-Walz team doesn’t expect the ticket to flip many rural counties. But some of Harris’ top advisers have argued that simply losing by slightly fewer percentage points in these areas could help carry her and down-ballot Democrats to victory. In recent memos, the campaign has argued “the key to decreasing margins in rural areas is to show up and compete everywhere — which is exactly what we’re doing across the country.”

A Harris campaign spokesperson confirmed the hire. The campaign is now looking to ramp up an aggressive ground game from Wisconsin and Arizona to Georgia and other battleground states, to peel away even a few percentage points from Trump’s rural margins. The move comes weeks after Democrats in battleground districts feared President Joe Biden’s debate fallout would cost them another wave of votes, including some of the party’s few remaining rural House seats. Harris’ deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks helped Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) cut down GOP rural margins in his 2022 Georgia Senate win, and he was a key part of organizing Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s recent bus tour in rural Georgia — a rare step for a national Democratic ticket as local Democrats argue the party has increasingly overlooked rural organizing at its peril.

Local organizers also note that the party has a solid opportunity to gain support in some rural communities, especially in pockets of Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona with younger voters and voters of color. The Biden-Harris administration and Democrats have poured billions in federal investments into rural communities, with Biden just this week touting new funding in a largely rural swing district in southwest Wisconsin. At the same time, Democrats in battleground districts have been worried that Harris may do worse than Biden in key rural counties against Trump, especially among older, white voters in the upper Midwest. Biden managed to make some small gains in rural counties, including with Obama-Trump pockets, in 2020 after Trump blew out Hillary Clinton in rural areas in 2016. Harris’ team is hoping that’s where Walz can boost the ticket.

The Harris/Walz campaign’s hiring of a rural voters director is a good idea, as Democrats need to learn how to reach rural voters and cut the margins.

Decisions are made every day.

Important and unimportant, big or small. Everyone makes countless decisions every day. Choices affect our daily lives, but most do not have the strength or power to fundamentally change our lives.

Most of the decisions are too mundane to draw much attention to themselves, but some feel like a rockfall, tearing up at every hill and forming a spider´s web across the entire windshield. So also the important decision about love, in which Meredith Grey stood between two of her co-workers and did not know what to do.

She knew that love is an extremely sensitive construct and playing with it can lead to catastrophic consequences, the balance between colleagues at a workplace could be disturbed and any conscious intervention or change should therefore be carefully considered.

But how should she think about the consequences of this important step if she could not even decide between Derek and you in the first place?

"Grey!" the chief of surgery seemed in high spirits as she snuck up on the blonde. Meredith tried to mimic the sympathetic smile of her as best she could, but it did not look very convincing. "Why are you making that face? Do you not have work to do?"

"Bailey," she grunted out between clenched teeth, giving her a slanted but fixed look, which met up with a skeptical one. Sighing, the black-haired rolled her eyes in frustration and sat down on the couch next to the younger surgeon. "What is bothering you?"

The addressee shrugged and concentrated herself on a single floor tile. The corners of her mouth painfully clenched, automatically drooped as she leaned back on the sofa and took a deep breath.

There had to be a way of finding out who she loved more.

What Meredith could decide, though, was whether to let Miranda Bailey in on it. She could be some help to her. Or a tripwire that ultimately put her on the wrong track. The blonde pondered about it for a moment before beginning her cryptic narrative. "Two people. You have to choose one and hurt the other, risking that nothing will be the same ever again. Who do you choose?"

"When you get up in the morning, who do you think of first? Who do you want to write or see first?" the young blonde heard her boss ask, hearing seriousness and conviction in her soft voice. "Who makes you happy? Who makes your heart beat faster?"

Instantly, she felt every fiber of her body automatically screaming for you, forming your name in every synapse of her brain. Tiny memories of your time together surfaced like pictures in front of her inner eye and melted with feelings of pure love.

"Y/n," she spoke deliberately calmly and Bailey gave her a questionable look before her lips curled into a smile. Meredith´s eyes reflected happiness and she had to admit that only the briefest of advice from Miranda Bailey got her on.

She was really good. Better than good, indescribable.

The young surgeon quickly jumped up from her seat, looked confused for her cell phone that had fallen between the cracks of the sofa and halfway ran out of the door. "Grab her before it is too late," she heard Bailey emphasize again. Her voice was so familiar and yet she was absolutely right. Meredith loved you. Worse, she longed for you.

Only after you.

Meredith Grey could not help but grin all the way down to the emergency room at the thought of you while she tried to reach you on your cell phone. But she was thrown strictly to the mailbox.

It surprised her, after all you were always available. Especially when you were at work. Then why was your phone turned off? The blonde would have understood if you wanted to have your rest after a night shift, but you only had a lunch break.

She looked through the opening elevator doors and immediately chaos broke out in front of her. Nurses ran around like they were bitten by a tarantula, including three of her friends who almost knocked her over while stepping out of the elevator. "What the.."

It is L/n!" Merediths hands kept shaking and she could not really understand the next words. Something about you and that she should be there. She dropped her cell phone as she ran and rushed to the trauma room. In the time she hastily walked through the corridor, the world stood still.

She could not breathe while hoping that the scenarios that suddenly appeared in her mind would never come true.

"What the hell happened?" Meredith yelled between chaotic conversations and the tension, that Keppner, Pierce and Hunt were building around your bloodied body as she walked through the doorway.

Everything was going wild in the shock room. Nurses ran back and forth, delivering the supplied and an ultrasound to the attending physicians that they so desperately needed to determine the nature and severity of your injuries.

"Y/n was hit by a motorist who missed a red light. Suspected traumatic brain injury. Strong, rapidly forming hematomas all over their body, fractured right arm and suspected pelvic fracture," explained April through staging breaths before continuing. "They collapsed shortly before arrival, Pierce is doing resuscitation"

In unison, the four doctors looked at the monitor to which you were connected by cables and waited for a sinus rhythm that should exchange the flat line. Hunt, meanwhile, had your head tilted back and was trying to insert the tube through your larynx into your trachea to take over the ventilation. "Tubus is inside. We move them on three. One, two.. three,"

They set you down on the hospital bed provided for you, Pierce immediately began to resume chest compressions. Meredith had only now fully realized whose life was at stake and who her friends were fighting for.

But she could not contribute. Her body was paralyzed and her life-saving skills completely thrown overboard. She looked at your face like a heap of misery and was startled. Big tears rolled down her cheeks. Completely silent but totally desperate.

A rush of adrenaline hit her all of a sudden and she blinked back the tears that were appearing. She quickly jumped to the end of the bed and held your ankles tightly in her hands. The blonde had to touch you, but your otherwise warm skin was chilled under her fingertips.

"Stabilization and then straight to the CT with her, Shepherd is already waiting" Owen gave running instructions and pumped another dose of medication through your veins to hopefully get your circulation going. This quickly had its effect; electrical impulses showed up as current fluctuations in the curves of the line and relief flowed through the room.

"Weak sinus frequency but we can work with that," April stated and breathed a sigh of relief while wiping the beads of sweat from her forehead.

Meredith walked up to your naked torso, her hands gently falling on your messy and blood smeared hair, stroking it softly. She leaned forward, close to your face before whispering something into your ear. "I beg you, Y/n. Do not leave me alone," she begs your unconscious body while frantically stroking your wet hair.

She froze and lifted her eyes to meet the gazes of the people standing next to her. They urged her to go faster with prompting looks, but at the same time gave her the time she needed. A shudder ran over her body before continuing.

"I choose you, Y/n. Fight for us," she said calmly, watching as Owen carried you away on the stretcher.

i have an alchemy hyperfixation and all the alchemy stuff in tmagp makes me very excited so a lot of my theories are related to that

main character gets an eye injury - the image will not leave my head. in the magnus institute ruins statement there was this whole thing about redcanary having some kind of encounter with or experience with eye trauma and that feels like something thats just. gonna come up again

another mechanisms va - self explanatory, we need to complete the set. would love to hear kofi or rachel.

gwen has trauma related to something that happened with elias - this is going on the theory that she’s not elias’ counterpart, but a relative of some kind. something spooky happens to him and that pushes gwen to research the paranormal.

character referencing nicholas flamel - all the main characters have names that reference alchemists, and nicholas flamel is probably the most famous alchemist of all time. i doubt he’ll be given the smirke treatment because that kinda already happened with the transphobic wizard books, but someone could be sharing his name.

mag 114 statement is relevant - thats the. hill top road statement that deals with other realities, and anya (the statement giver) could be from the protocol verse. we could totally hear about the aftermath of her departure

alice/sam/gwen = three primes - the three main alchemical symbols on the OIAR crest, and a good sort of symbolic trio sorter. the three peimes are salt, sulphur and mercury, and are the basis for alchemy. the down to earth, reliable salt, the firey, unpredictable sulfur, and the adaptable, easygoing mercury. i think these could apply i just want to have it called out in universe

lena is a good person - i don’t think they’d pull the evil boss thing twice. i just think lena’s weird mannerisms are from her autistic swag

celia is related to or is agnes - (related to as in. her story involves agnes, not that shes like. a sister.) this comes from a theory by @/pinklotjeart, i think. basically: through the way her death was described (spark returned to the lightless flame) and some timeline discrepancies and general avatarness making it weird, agnes might not be Dead dead. and celia’s counterpart, lynne - well, she saw a fire ghost. also, both her and agnes are the only non one-off characters who have shakespeare names afaik. agnes MONTAGUE, celia from as you like it…

annabelle cane is related somehow - self explanatory, she was at hilltop road when everything went down. might have been pulled in.

a famous alchemist is robert smirke’d - self explaining, give me more canon historical figures jonny

another kitty cat - i want more kitty in podcast is that a crime

augustus is not jonah - we hear jonah’s voice as ben meredith in 193, so im skeptical that tim fearon’s character is jonah for that reason.

oiar group has a messy moment that devolves into actual physical violence - mmm angst i think they deserve to smack eachother around a bit

colin dies early - mmmm i cant say much about this bc its based on one throwaway line at the MCM panel where jonny doesn’t mention colin in the main character group. so . death flags.

oiar is containing the entities scp style - this was a super early theory of mine, either this or theyre using them for power or energy in some way. even more heavy handed capitalism metaphors yay

someone gets ushanka’d - its computer horror: the podcast. that’s all

cookbook statement - a few clues in the ARG had to do with cookbooks, and alex and jonny have already said they’re getting weird with the statement formats (they mentioned an insurance report!) so. cookbook doesn’t seem too far-fetched

tiktoker/influencer character - archives was 2010s and they had a podcaster and youtuber, which were like. the big things. whats the hip trend now??? instagram and tiktok baybee

protocol editors va a small role a la mag 100 or the wtgfs cult - those characters were voiced by other rq team members (ie helen as laverne and martyn as robin) and the team has since expanded!! some editors dis stuff for cry havoc, so im guessing nico, annie, april and others will get a small role!

a villain’s goal is creating the philosopher’s stone or other alchemical thing - tmagp is heavily inspired by alchemy, and the philosopher’s stone was the main goal of alchemy!! it would grant you eternal knowledge snd the ability to turn lead into gold- which seems like a good. evil dude’s ambition

the desolation gets more focus - the institute burned down, the oiar crest has a lot of sulfur symbols (the fire element), alchemy as a whole having to do with fire, celia and her connection- it paints a very. lightless flame picture

trip to germany - a lot of the arg was set in and around berlin, and there was that exchange between sam and colin about german in the pilot! i could see a germany trip happening in the same way jon took a trip to china and america.
