I wanted to talk about something that been bugging me in the overwatch community and I might get a lot of hate but I can’t be the only one who feels like the hate against Mercy mains and I also wanted to talk about the amount of sexism in the community

for the mercy part I can’t be the only one who finds the hate unwarranted. people says she annoying to face due to her flying and rez and I’m going to say that this her rez has 30 seconds long cool down and there is plenty of other flying characters but people only complain about mercy. people say most mercy mains suck but maybe their new and also if you are playing on non comp expect bad players. and the solo ulting problem why do people feel the need to dedicate whole account to solo ulting mercy mains and brag about it. I also wanted to talk about the sexism in the community and how it came to the point of where we can’t even talk in the voice chat. I such feel like women who play the game also get a stereotype as being bad. Which is sometimes not the case.

I don't really do Overwatch anymore but Mercy mains are so unhinged because they'll be like "Mass rez wasn't so bad/shouldn't have been removed" and mean that wholeheartedly in 2024.

Buddy it doesn't matter what online game you're playing, if your character is so strong that not playing them is considered a throw in the competitive scene then that character is obviously too strong.

Like what possible argument can you make against that. Nothing in the entire game beats being able to bring 5 teammates back to life with a simple press of the Q key on your keyboard.

Are you hearing yourself??? It's insane the devs ever thought that could be balanced in the first place!

People who play Mercy: This rework makes Mercy feel so clunky and honestly awful to play. Her entire kit is now unsynchronised with her GA and it forces me to pocket harder which is what people were complaining about in the first place.

People who have never touched Mercy in their lives: lolol u mad now that you have to actually use your brain to play?

i am once again begging you to engage with my twitter so that evil blizzard may one day return pink mercy to us.

the bcrf has joint custody over the skin and they are, according to a dm from lexie from bcrf, still in contact with blizz/overwatch devs (shocking as it may be due to the reasons) and if there’s enough “””community desire””” they could bring back the pink mercy charity event 

 in 2018 they raised over $12.7 milly for breast cancer research and now there are a bunch of new players joining overwatch 2 (poor souls) and people who are playing on switch now, that never got the chance to donate and buy the skin. also ppl like me who got banned in 2019 but then made a new account anyway (but we dont have to talk abt that one)

breast cancer runs in my family as well, so as somebody with a high likelihood of developing it in my future, bcrf is very sexy and cool (also they actually use their donations to fund research unlike susan g coleman or w/e the fuck)

i post daily about bcrf and the pink mercy charity as a whole and i am currently on day 46 of tweeting daily and being very annoying about it. on day 50 im gonna do a fun community thing too

anyway, go retweent, comment, share or w/e the fuck you do on twitter so that blizzard gets it shit together about this

I want to point this one out specifically

They are justifying transphobia and hate speech by essentially saying “it’s just a silly mercy main thing you just don’t get it🩷”

Maining mercy doesn’t make you transphobic, please grow a brain I beg you.

Many other comments on this video are also calling venture an it. (The creator even going as far to reply “it***” under comments that use they/them for venture even if they are agreeing with the venture hate, proving this is driven by transphobia.)

Every single person who commented something like that I hope does some reflection and figures out that this behavior is pushing progress for lgbtq in games back so far whether you’re doing it intentionally or not.
