Blizzard Entertainment and the #Overwatch community have partnered with the #BreastCancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to raise $12.3 million through the 2024 "Mercy for a Cause" campaign.
This contribution is the second-largest in #BCRF's history, bringing Blizzard's total support for breast cancer research to over $25 million. Proceeds from in-game items like the Rose Gold and Pink Mercy skins support BCRF's mission. Previous efforts have funded significant advancements in diagnostics and treatments. Updates on how this year's donations will enhance life-saving research will be shared soon.

Today pedal is a special one, as it has been the last couple of years. In it's third year now, Ben Carlin of Electric Love FX creates a new, unique device and donates 100% of the profits to help fund breast cancer research via the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, he's teamed up with Jamie Stillman of EarthQuaker Devices to create the Norssken Compressor Fuzz, a circuit based on the obscure Carlin Compressor from Sweden. The pedal is great, the cause is great, Ben and Jamie are great - what a great day for a great pedal release!! Check out our demo below, and you'll find links to donate and purchase the pedal in the description - cheers, and thanks for your support!! 馃┓馃┓馃┓

Also just throwing it out there, fuck people who try to gatekeep the skin (and I say that as someone who has it on two accounts.) 100% of the proceeds go directly to the BCRF (emphasis on RESEARCH FOUNDATION.) All money spent on these cosmetics goes to a good cause dedicated to working towards a cure, not just "awareness" Here's a couple highlights from blizzards official statement on the blog: (x)
In May 2018, we introduced the Pink Mercy skin, which helped raise $12.7 million USD for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Thanks to all of you, the original two-week campaign became the biggest single donation to BCRF - and still holds that record to this day! It fueled BCRF鈥檚 Precision Prevention Initiative (PPI) and key breakthroughs in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and metastasis (a.k.a. stage 4 breast cancer). Specifically, the 2018 donation helped fund researchers who advanced promising AI tools in mammogram imaging, devised models to better predict how aggressive breast cancers will respond to treatment, identify drugs that could potentially delay tumor formation, and more.

The Pink Mercy skin, a symbol of #BreastCancerAwareness since 2018, is available again along with the new Rose Gold Mercy bundle. These items can be purchased until July 8, 2024, and 100% of the purchase price (excluding taxes and platform fees) will be donated to #BCRF.
Players can directly contribute to BCRF's mission to eradicate breast cancer by buying these limited-time items.
