It’s weird being depressed in summer. In winter it’s easy, dark and cold and moody. But summer? Ya this shit is hard work.

I would love to be normal about things but at this point in my life I've established I'm really not fucking normal and I've learnt to roll with that

The thing about me is that I'm always crying, shitting, having a mental breakdown, but also: kicking my heels and giggling because I'm gonna make some fire power points for my therapist about this later. :')

6 albums i've been listening to (+1 standout track)
tagged by @vvanessaives thank you so much babe i love youuu <33
(in no particular order)
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Such a fun song to sing along, and Bon Scott made AC/DC as much as the Young brothers did for me. Aside from Back in Black (which is above reproach of course), nothing Brian Johnson did delivered half of what Bon Scott delivered.
Sawdust - The Killers. Shadowplay. Let me preface this by saying that I LOOOVE Joy Division and I'm not much for covers but The Killers blew it out of the water with this one and the whole album is full of amazing covers.
Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino - Arctic Monkeys. One Point Perspective. I know following the popularity of AM Arctic Monkeys gained a new surge of listeners and this album gave half the people a backlash but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I love how the sound evolved past AM. I love the experimental sound and the concept for this one. I love the music videos so much as well. It was such a challenge to pick a standout track with the titular track and Four out of Five being superb runner-ups. Nevertheless, One Point Perspective is three and a half minutes summary of the sound and lyrics of this album, so it gets to be the pick.
Never for Ever - Kate Bush. The Wedding List. Kate Bush doesn't need any elaboration and I'm not equipped to do her justice anyway. All I can say is that this album is one of the rares ones that I can put on and let it loop without any skips. The Wedding List is suuuuuch a sublime song to me. I can't help but sing along each time and it lifts my mood instantly. It's also great to sing along when I'm angry.
Too Fast for Love - Mötley Crüe. Live Wire. Mötley Crüe they can never make me dislike you (even yourself). I feel like I've been listening to the Crüe for all my life, so I'm sure they've been on each song tag game I've done, and they'll be in every one to come as well. Are they technically good (aside from Mick Mars)? Probably not. Should Tommy Lee be killed with stones and sticks three times a day for the rest of his life? Yes. But... regardless... nevertheless... a fun album. A great song.
Dreamland - Glass Animals. Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Another tough pick from an album of bops after bops. Hot Sugar? Bop. Waterfalls Coming Out of Your Mouth? The boppest bop to ever bop. Domestic Bliss? Bop squared. I've discovered Glass Animals in the summer of 2019 and something in my brain has changed fundamentally. So much so that the final place, after much deliberation, went to Glass Animals instead of my beloved Molchat Doma. Wavey Davey you're my T*ylor Sw*ft.
