preterm delivery | lifespring maternity Hospital
What Are the Symptoms & Risk Factors of Preterm Delivery &How to Prevent It?
It's difficult to predict when a baby will be born. Most people have a plan for labor and delivery, assuming that the pregnancy will last the standard 40 weeks. However, when it comes to delivery, the baby sometimes has its own idea and decides to come out early. Some hazards can be attributed to a variety of factors, including a previous premature baby.
 What is Preterm Delivery?
Preterm labor is defined as giving birth at least three weeks before the due date. This signifies that a preterm birth occurs before the 37th week of pregnancy. Preterm babies are born before the 40th week of a normal pregnancy. However, they frequently have problems, which vary in severity. It can potentially endanger the mother's and baby's health.
Tumblr media
 Preterm Delivery Symptoms and Causes
Premature birth can occur unexpectedly and for no apparent reason.
For medical reasons, the healthcare provider may induce preterm birth. However, the following are some of the most common causes of premature birth:
Diabetes and other infections in pregnant women are examples of chronic health disorders.
Excessive alcohol consumption or drug misuse
Having previously had numerous pregnancies, such as triplets or twins,
Having several pregnancies
Preeclampsia is characterized by high blood pressure while pregnant.
There were less than 18 months between pregnancies.
Problems with the cervix or the uterus
Infections or vaginal bleeding during pregnancy
Risk factors for premature birth
The exact cause of preterm pregnancy is unknown.
However, several risk factors enhance the likelihood of premature birth.
 They are as follows:
expecting triplets, twins, or other multiples
Having fewer gaps between pregnancies
Being overweight or underweight prior to pregnancy
Domestic abuse or the death of a loved one is both stressful circumstances.
Multiple miscarriages or abortions
Physical harm or injury
having high blood pressure that is not managed by drugs, as well as a low-lying placenta
Premature birth prevention
Although the reason for preterm birth is unknown, there are a few things women can do to lower their chances of having a young baby.
It includes the following:
Progesterone supplementation:
Women who have a history of preterm birth or have a short cervix can minimize their risk by taking this supplement.
Cervical cerclage is a surgical treatment used to treat women with a short cervix or a history of preterm labor.
The cervix is sewn with sutures in this technique to provide extra support to the uterus. When the time comes to give birth, the sutures will be removed.
Other activities include: While pregnant, avoid smoking, drugs, and alcohol.
LifeSpring Maternity Hospital is one of the best gynecology hospitals in Hyderabad, with an excellent team of gynecologists providing comprehensive treatments.

It's not "gender affirming care" for biological males to get HRT for low testosterone and *females* also take it when they're low on testosterone!
Tumblr media
GIF by nanatsunotaizaii
It's actually a HEALTH ISSUE to have low testosterone in BOTH men AND WOMEN. These effects can even sometimes be seen in MtF when transitioning and they're taking T blockers without proper hormone balancing
Common side effects include:
-Fatigue and Low Energy: Feeling unusually tired or lacking in energy is a common symptom.
-Increased Body Fat: Low testosterone may contribute to an increase in body fat, particularly around the abdomen.
-Decreased Libido: A drop in sexual desire or interest is a frequent issue.
-Mood Changes: This can include feelings of *depression*, irritability, or mood swings.
-Difficulty Concentrating: Some people experience problems with focus and memory.
-Sleep Disturbances: Insomnia or other sleep issues can occur.
-Osteoporosis: Low testosterone can lead to a decrease in bone density, increasing the risk of
-Hot Flashes
Especially post menopausal women have to take HRT with *testosterone* because they need it to balance their hormones after menopause or else they get the above side effects as well. Their hormones drop drastically at a certain age compared to males who have a steady decline. My mother is having the *worst time* getting proper HRT administration at the moment...
Stop making bad arguments for gender affirming care and spreading misinformation. You're showing how ignorant you are about hormones, which is problematic considering you're supporting care that deals with them. It’s not helpful to trans people in any way at all.

its like so fucked to me that PCOS is almost always diagnosed in middle aged women bc of fertility issues unless the person in question has a very obvious and severe case or lobbies their doctor at length about it. this would not be so upsetting to me if PCOS didn't massively increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes in a way that is largely preventable! or if PCOS didn't make it damn near impossible to lose weight, meaning many people have their symptoms dismissed be it for other health problems or PCOS symptoms themselves over something they have next to no control over.

Life must be so weird without menstruation. What’s it like NOT spending one week every month not only being INCREDIBLY uncomfortable but also battling intrusive thoughts like “i dont want to die i just hate being alive!” and “i wish i could be a bug just a little insect with no thoughts i fucking hate being human” and then when the week is over you’re totally back to normal and cannot relate to the creature you became for a short while.? Couldn’t be me.

There's a post going around Tumblr about how if you're post-menopausal and have bleeding, you should get it checked by your doctor. I brought some minor bleeding I'd had up in a doctor visit earlier this year, prompted by that post, and this week, after a biopsy, I found out I have cancer. It's early stage and the survival odds at 5 years are 99%. I have an oncologist appointment and we may have caught it early enough that surgery alone will be sufficient treatment (no radiation/chemo).
So that post may have saved my life and it may have made my treatment a lot easier too.
If you get into menopause and then start bleeding again, really, get your reproductive innards checked out. The life you save may be your own.

Rewind the Clock: The Power of NAD+ in Rejuvenating Metabolism and Cellular Repair
Imagine a molecule that acts as a conductor for hundreds of essential cellular processes, powering energy production, orchestrating DNA repair, and even influencing the very genes that determine our health span. That molecule is NAD+, a coenzyme playing a critical role in cellular function and vitality. As we age, our NAD+ levels decline, contributing to a cascade of age-related changes. However recent breakthroughs in NAD+ research have ignited a revolution in anti-aging and cellular health, offering a glimmer of hope for slowing down the aging process and enhancing overall well-being.
Understanding the Powerhouse: NAD+ and Its Vital Role
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme found in all cells of the body. Its relevance stems from its capacity to enable a wide range of critical metabolic events. NAD+ has a critical role in:
Energy Production: NAD+ is indispensable for the production of ATP, the primary energy currency of our cells. This energy fuels vital bodily functions, from muscle contraction to brain activity, ensuring our bodies can perform their daily tasks efficiently.
Cellular Repair and Protection: NAD+ activates sirtuins, a family of proteins that regulate DNA repair, shield cells from damage, and promote longevity. By activating these repair mechanisms, NAD+ helps combat the cellular wear and tear that accumulates with age.
Gene Expression: NAD+ plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, influencing the activity of genes involved in cellular function, metabolism, and aging. By influencing these genes, NAD+ can help maintain optimal cellular function throughout our lifespan.
Immune Function: NAD+ plays a vital role in supporting a healthy immune system. It is involved in immune cell activation and response to pathogens, helping to protect our bodies from infections and diseases.
The NAD+ Decline: A Silent Contributor to Aging
While NAD+ is a vital molecule for cellular function, its levels naturally decline with age. This decline contributes to a range of age-related changes, including:
Decreased Energy Levels: Reduced NAD+ levels hinder energy production, leading to fatigue, decreased stamina, and difficulty recovering from exercise.
Accelerated Cellular Aging: The diminished NAD+ levels impair cellular repair processes, leading to accelerated aging, DNA damage, and increased susceptibility to age-related diseases.
Impaired Cognitive Function: NAD+ decline can impair cognitive function, affecting memory, learning abilities, and overall brain health.
Increased Inflammation: Reduced NAD+ levels contribute to chronic inflammation, a key driver of many age-related diseases, including heart disease, arthritis, and Alzheimer's disease.
Reversing the Decline: The Promise of NAD+ Therapy
The decline in NAD+ levels with age is not inevitable. Fortunately, there are ways to replenish our NAD+ levels, and Nad Drip therapy has emerged as a promising solution. This therapy involves infusing a concentrated solution of NAD+ directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system and maximizing NAD+ absorption.
The Benefits of NAD+ Therapy:
Increased Energy Levels: Boosting NAD+ levels enhance energy production, leading to increased vitality, improved exercise performance, and faster recovery from workouts.
Cellular Repair and Regeneration: Elevated NAD+ levels activate sit-ins, promoting DNA repair, cell regeneration, and protection against cellular damage.
Enhanced Cognitive Function: NAD+ therapy can improve cognitive function, memory, learning abilities, and focus, potentially mitigating age-related cognitive decline.
Reduced Inflammation: Increased NAD+ levels can help reduce chronic inflammation, potentially mitigating the risk of age-related diseases.
Improved Mood and Sleep: NAD+ therapy may contribute to improved mood, reduced anxiety, and better sleep quality.
