does anyone know how to organize hundreds of research paper pdfs on computer? i have many by the same author with extremely similar names and some that are literally the exact same paper but have some differences (are in a different language, have photos, have summaries)

i cant even tell what i have, i have multiple copies of stuff, i delete stuff on accident

i heard mendeley is basically what i need and that it’s free but i downloaded it and it’s trying to make me log in to elsevier and i no longer have access to that

One pro of ADHD is that you get really good at handling stress. by the way if you’re by any chance using fuckass mendeley as a reference manager i highly recommend you switch to zotero. it works seamlessly and infinitely smoother. word stopped lagging and crashing for me and the chrome plugin actually works 🫶🏻
