does anyone know how to organize hundreds of research paper pdfs on computer? i have many by the same author with extremely similar names and some that are literally the exact same paper but have some differences (are in a different language, have photos, have summaries)

i cant even tell what i have, i have multiple copies of stuff, i delete stuff on accident

i heard mendeley is basically what i need and that it’s free but i downloaded it and it’s trying to make me log in to elsevier and i no longer have access to that

Try checking out the app paperboy for mendeley

I used to have paperbot and even paid for it, but at the end of the day it doesn't let me access the mendeley notebook and it would simply not update into mendeley any of the annotations i made on it. It might be my safest bet tho!
