I NEED TO TALK ABOUT MY GIRLBAND DR RAAAHHHHHHH LISTEN UP FUCKERS

so first of all, my girlband is called Ultraviolet, or UV for short. our fans call us vivies, like how people call the lesserafim members "fimmies", and we call them vivies too. a little running joke between us is that the members are senior vivies and our fans are junior vivies. we debut on February 14th, 2025 with seven members; me, Sierra, Nicole, Emmy, Linh, Brooke and Annika.

me and Sierra are the moms of the group. we've been best friends since we met as trainees when we were both 12, and have been inseparable since. she's also my love interest <3

me and Emmy are like the tom and jerry of the group, always messing with each other and beating each other up (lovingly).

Linh, Brooke and Annika are the babies. as the eldest of the baby line, Linh is very protective of Brooke and Annika, even though Linh's 5'2 while Brooke is 5'5 and Annika is 5'9 😭. all of us older girls are way shorter than the youngest, but the shorter ones are very strong and baby the HELL outta the younger ones. its very much giving (see meme at bottom of post lmao)

im the oldest and the leader, while Sierra is twelve days younger than me and is my co-leader.

pretty much all of the members are queer in some regard except for Annika, who we joke is our token straight friend.

Nicole is the mean one (said lovingly) and is always pissing everyone off (again, lovingly) with her constant sarcasm

Brooke and Annika, as the babies of the group, are basically joined at the hip. never leave each other alone. practically superglued to each other.

1. American Boy - Glee Cast (ft. Darren Criss/Chris Colfer) Yes like the Kanye West/Estelle duet. Somehow this Kurt/Blaine cover went from horrifying to amazing in the span of like, 24 hours. I can't help it. I get a kick out of it.

2. Quiet Times - Dido Remember Dear Isobel? Not the only Dido song I vividly associate with Izzie Stevens. Although in this case, it's because Grey's Anatomy deliberately used it that way, which is also how I encountered it in the first place.

3. Poison and Wine - The Civil Wars Shoot! I can't remember what fictional couple I associate with this desperately sad song, or even where I found it, but "I don't love you, but I always will" is such a good line.

4. Just Can't Get Enough - Glee Cast THE HAPPIEST AND BOPPIEST KLAINE SONG. Which is kind of a weird disconnect for me, because as a new release, it was also one of the songs I was playing on repeat in the last week of my dog's life, when I knew she was fading so I moved my workstation downstairs/to my dad's laptop in order to spend every second with her (and was thus limited to whatever music I could easily queue on YouTube).

5. Stop and Stare - One Republic I was extremely Meh about this song on the radio, and mostly still am, but then it was used in my favorite Ten II/Rose fanfic fanmix so now I’m Attached.

6. Teenage Dream (4x04 episode rip) - Glee There are so many versions of Blaine/Darren singing this, and I hate most of them because IT'S A TERRIBLE SONG, but the live and broken-voiced version in The Break-Up (different from the studio version from that ep, which incidentally is the only other version I like) is my favorite. It also destroys me 5 out of 6 times I hear it, STILL, so I really have to ration my exposure to it. Bless whoever uploaded this rip, though.

7. Teenage Dream (acoustic) - Glee OK I cheated and added this but only because I want to talk about how there is a great fan theory that this is how Blaine THOUGHT it was going to come out in the episode, instead of the above, and I always try to play them in succession because of that. Slow this song down and play with just a piano and emotion, it's a whole different animal.

8. Night Cap - Community soundtrack I'm so glad this is a whole song; WHOLESOME GANGSTA RAP FTW. I would have gone to so many more parties if this was the music at all of them. It's like 1900 when my eyelids drop!

9. Delaney Talks to Statues - Jimmy Buffett There is a very specific CSI: Miami fic titled after this (except with "Madison") that is responsible for this being in my library and never being allowed to leave. I am not a Buffett fan in the slightest, but this story-song is too damned cute.

10. The Silence -  Prospect Mali Another Office-inspired song -- but this one is a proper song (about Jim and Pam), not a jokey fandom-reference-loaded one, and that is just the coolest thing in the world to me.
