"So why do you need me again?" Connor asked Damian as they stood on the rooftops overlooking the darkened street.

Damian tsked and did not elaborate, and Connor had to resist the urge to push him off the roof.

Look, Connor would be the first person to tell you that the bonds forged through fighting each other in a death tournament to determine who would be sacrificed to a demon were unbreakable. But being woken up at 3 am to then be asked to do some kind of reconnaissance mission he was told next to nothing about was getting awfully close all the same.

"Here," Damian said, tearing Connor from his thoughts.

Immediately, the archer nocked an arrow, keeping it facing the ground.

"Put that away," Damian hissed and Connor wanted to hiss back in annoyance. How was he supposed to know what Damian wanted, he didn't even know what they were doing!

Then, he stilled as he caught sight of a red-clad figure sneaking around the side of the building they'd been stalking for at least twenty minutes.

Connor flexed, but Damian held out a hand discreetly. The figure looked around before turning towards the building, and with a few running steps, managed to scale up the brick wall all the way to the small window a few meters off the ground, and disappeared inside.

Damian waited a few breath before grappling over to the building and landing softly on the roof. Connor followed with a sigh. Carefully, Damian lowered himself to the window and after a quick check to insure the coast was clear, he slipped inside, and Connor followed suit.

They found themselves in a darkened passageway, bordered by metallic handrail, that bordered the four walls, leaving the middle part open, with a full view of the wide space left in the middle. From up there, they caught sight of the suspicious person again. In the slightly better lightning, Connor could determine the figure was probably a woman, but most importantly he could see she had unclipped what Connor now recognized as a modified huge gun of some kind and was now holding it in front of her.

Silently, Connor nocked an arrow once again, and this time, Damian didn't stop him.

There was a sound like something falling and the red-clad figure swivelled towards the sound, raising their gun. Connor tensed in anticipation and then-

"Dan-" the red-clad figure started just as Damian yelled, "put the gun down!"

The woman whipped around and threw herself to the side, Connor's arrow whizzing just past her shoulder. She was still in the air as Connor's went back to his quiver. He nocked another arrow, but unfortunately, the woman had fall-hidden behind one of the crates, and Connor couldn't get a good line of sight. Damian had jumped down, his sword drawn, ready to take the fight to her when-

"Time out!" yelled some random-looking civilian who had just popped up with his arms raised. All three of the fighters froze. "Time out, people!"

"Danny, get down!" Connor heard the woman hiss.

"I think we're all on the same side here," the newly-dubbed-Danny continued, as if this was completely normal, "so why don't we put our weapons down and just talk it out."

"Move," Damian grunted, his sword still raised.

The kid ignored Damian, and turned towards the red-clad vigilante. "Now, Red Huntress, what are you doing here?"

There was sigh from behind the crates and Connor could really relate, but there was barely any time before she answered the guy. "I was following Phantom, I got a tipoff he would be here."

Danny nodded sagely "Thank you for telling us." He turned towards Damian. "Now, who are you and why are you here?"

Damian just glared at the kid, who just looked back steadily, patiently awaiting an answer. After a few seconds, Connor lowered his bow with a sigh.

"This is Robin, he was following Red over there," Connor said as the kid nodded again. "And I'm following him."

"Great!" the kid chirped.

Red slowly rose from behind her crate-cover to address Damian directly.

"This doesn't make sense," she said. "I didn't know I was going to be here until an hour ago, how did you follow me?"

The civilian turned expecting eyes on Damian, and Connor couldn't help but follow suit. Damian straightened under the attention before he seemed to decide to share.

"I also got a tipoff."

"Wow, what a coincidence," the kid said brightly. His tone reminded Connor of a camp councillor he had met as Green Arrow, bright and peppy. "Maybe it was even from the same person!"

Damian tilted his head as his eyes narrowed on Red. "Was yours written on a green sticky note?"

The kid's smile went stiff.

"A green sticky what now?"

hello anon! unfortunately the answer to that question is almost always siya. i play them too much.

content warnings for discussions of trauma, near death experiences, and death. this one got heavy in my drafts. sorry, it’s a long one!

GHOST: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?

there’s a joke here about siya having a shitty ex-boyfriend literally named ghost. anyways.

siya ran to lion’s arch to get away from the grove, and quickly adopted it as their home with a sense of pride. i really cannot emphasize enough how much of their early sense of identity hinged on belonging to a city of pirates and scoundrels. they fell in with all the other misfits that had called it home, and reveled in late nights, bad decisions, and having the future laid out in front of them, as unending as the ocean.

scarlet briar destroyed it without warning.

they never said goodbye. their tenement was burning rubble before they even woke up among the survivors. there are friends and neighbors and regulars at their bars that they never heard from again, that they’re reasonably sure are still alive but don’t have the means (or true desire) to get back in touch with. when they close their eyes, they can retrace footpaths in alleyways that don’t exist anymore. gendarran apples dipped in dark chocolate, notches in their usual booth’s tabletop made with sif’s pocketknife, the stench of fish being unloaded at the docks at four in the morning, their face against the cool tile of moldy bathroom floors.

it aches. and they never went back— they still haven’t. they’ve been avoiding it for years, taking the long ways around travel routes to avoid the asura gate hub and the ports. too much has changed, in really painful ways, and they don’t want the memories they have of the place to be “spoiled” by plaster-and-stained-glass pavilions sponsored by the captain’s council. they want the shadows, and the shiplap, and the sense of self-discovery that sent them there in the first place. even if those memories aren’t particularly good, anything else feels wrong, and bad.

whether or not that preservation would actually make a difference (they can’t go back to that version of lion’s arch either way) doesn’t matter; there’s a finality to accepting that things are gone that they’ve been putting off for the last decade of their life, mostly in the form of never thinking about it ever and avoiding all reminders of it forever, reinventing themself as who they are today in the process.

FEAR: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

okay, so i think there are two ways i could take this question— first is a very tangible fear, in the sense that they very clearly have PTSD from what happened in lion’s arch. siya was there when the first bombs dropped and the miasma had a coin-flip chance of killing you. their actual memories of what happened are spotty, on account of the blast, but their unconscious body was pulled from the wreckage after the initial chaos, and it was deemed a miracle that they had survived.

for a long while, that lingering panic manifests as a twitch in their hands when the air gets too thick; tensing up at sudden loud noises and drawing exit strategies for any enclosed space and fighting any situation where medical personnel want to put their hands on them.

(siya finds refuge in the canopies of the maguuma jungle for a time, living in the wyvern cliffs with a friend. mordremoth sends the pact fleet crashing down into the trees and it startles them more than the dragon’s call itself ever could. afterwards, they flinch at the slightest provocation and spit that they’re going to personally shoot the killing bullet into mordremoth’s skull, when they remember how to feel anything at all. that’s the first time they realize there might be a problem.)

it’s hard not to be honest about it all when it’s visible on them (the hacking cough, the scarring on their face, the bad knee) so they don’t bother trying to hide that something’s fucked them up. if anything, it doesn’t matter that you know— they just don’t want you to stop taking them seriously. they can hold their own in a fight, they can handle themself.

and while that fear hasn’t ever gone away, it’s stabilized; helped by years of distance, self-soothing rituals, and lithium salts. the love of their life is a volcanic eruption, and they’ve grown to find comfort in heavy, warm pressure blanketing them.

what they’re really afraid of, underneath that, is death. the lights being snuffed out for good. rolling bad dice, finally, and getting unlucky. not knowing what’s gonna happen afterwards (do they get the gold chariot? do they float through the ceiling?). not wanting to lose the few good things they’ve got. braham’s prophecy starts unfurling and they spend months picking their wounds and watching him like a hawk when they can’t sleep at night, in case he’s the one that doesn’t make it.

that one, they don’t talk about. they can’t.

MISTAKE: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?

siya has never made any mistakes in their life, ever.

okay, that’s a lie— but most of their mistakes feel petty in the grand scheme of the world. shooting themself in the foot (metaphorically) by reading situations wrong, talking a bit too much and slighting somebody, fumbling a good thing by being a little too much or pushing somebody away before anything can start. that’s just being neurodivergent. none of those are life-ruining on their own.

likewise, there are things they would consider to be significant mistakes of theirs that i don’t personally agree with their judgment on. lying in the grass underneath a friend they’ve already lost to the nightmare court. locking eyes with ghost across the room in a dive bar that was never up to code. staying home with garm and a migraine when braham gets invited to the all-legions rally.

(okay, that last one hurts more, but they can’t get too caught up in it for the same reasons they don’t let braham get caught up in his own what-ifs.)

not taking the lionguard suggestion to re-enter the city when able to do so, in order to retrieve the rest of their belongings, probably ranks up there. they took whatever they were rescued with, shoved away every worried medic trying to stabilize them, and followed their gut instinct to get as far away from the burning wreckage as possible. it was an irrational, anxious impulse, and they do really regret not getting to say goodbye before that became insurmountable.

6. Favorite character in all of Tolkien's work?

Legolas. I realize this is probably the most transparent answer of all time and you probably wanted something more interesting, but I love his unflaggingly upbeat spirits in the midst of such a bleak quest, and his sassiness, and I love that he's at once one of the more chill elves we meet and yet also ready to throw hands at a moment's notice. He's just an utter DELIGHT...and then when you throw in the heartbreak of the Sea-Longing (which gets me in ways that I cannot even articulate and always has) and the fact that he stayed despite that until all his friends were gone except for Gimli, whom he took with him omfg—! Like, not to sound like Gimli on main, but how do you look at this utterly absurd elf and NOT love him?

Add to that the fact that I've been obsessed with elves literally forever, I mean before I ever read LotR, and he was The Elf of the Fellowship...I mean, I would have fallen in love with him anyway on that basis alone, because he's The Elf we get to spend the most time with, but the fact that his introduction is just "a strange elf clad in green and brown"...that's it, Frodo? That's all you can say about him? He's "strange" and dressed like a tree? LMAO. Come on, he's ridiculous from the moment we meet him, of course I love him. And then "I go to find the sun"? MY GODS. THIS FUCKER. YES.

And then him and Gimli? Who absolutely should not be friends AT ALL, but end up being so fucking entwined that they sail to Valinor forever...!? Who go from zero-to-sixty in like two weeks, and are then so ride-or-die that they're even ride beyond death, fuck. "Yet you comfort me..." / "He stands not alone!" / "While Gimli lives, I shall not come to Fangorn alone..." / "Where you go, I will go..." / We have heard tell that Legolas took Gimli Glóin's son with him because of their great friendship, greater than any that has been between Elf and Dwarf. If this is true, then it is strange indeed: that a Dwarf should be willing to leave Middle-earth for any love, or that the Eldar should receive him, or that the Lords of the West should permit it...

Hmm For Mercy her mirror name is Darcy (Dark-Mercy) she's very much spoiled drama queen who would cause trouble that pays in disrespect and listen to heavy metal/rock while she does spray paint on everything but laughs automatically and being her diva and stays up til 4am due to her having no reputation and smiles a lot giving her villainous as she is. Her minions of her own were feral cats and drama queen to Mirror GSA that thinks she's a leader herself though she isn't and doesn't like were people are slay then her

For Mirror Lady Nebula she would be the one who sings when she appeared and she doesn't care for her girls and rivals with Mirror Arthur compared to Nebula corruption self she's the queen of mean samurai anyways her personality were sarcastic, cold-hearted, disagree, and careless that she has missing left eye instead of her robotic arm. She has her own throne that's treated her like a queen and has claws that like her nails never believed in love.

Mistdew is quiet and doesn't like favoritism cause it annoyed him as much it does when he's a child and would only do conversation instead of small talk when it comes to people he trusted that took him think about it that comes to loser

Stella/ Sir Solar she's the fearful, paranoid and shy in a member who doesn't like to speak up when she tries to get everyone attention when it comes to situations like training and would be scared when it comes to strangers and eyes on her but introvert

But Mercy, Lady Nebula, Mistdew and Stella were puffballs/orbs ( not sure if it orbs or puffballs but I usually say puffballs) Stella were half puffball and half phoenix that were kinda the same as puffball???

Lady Nebula would be appeared in a backstory that is part of Nonsurat (AU) backstory of however she is a leader of fighting group and a samurai that is different from ninjas, knights, pirates and such. She's overprotective older sis, caring and a strong woman that used to be a dancer but works together with Galaxy Soldier Army in war and battles.

Mercy she definitely an ally to Kirby, tiff and tuff that were able to keep an eye on them to make sure they are safe, friendly to others as well socializing like a butterfly, love interest to Sir Dragato and she loves to draw however she feels like it. When she's levitating where she files around cappy town and dream to know what happen.

Mistdew a tsundere to Lady Nebula that is jealous and refuse to confess his feelings towards her but deep down he loves her a lot and willing to protect her and he's dramatic when it comes to confessing

Lady Stella/ Sir Solar: a right handed to Lady Nebula who would train and keep an eye on the girls whom in the fighting group and childhood friend to her. She is strict and very trained that is tough for her to be a strong woman
