I am currently a year 12 VCE student in Victoria, Australia. I have already completed History Revolutions in Russia and China! I am looking at becoming an archaeologist, so I want to apply to both Victorian Unis and interstate Unis.

My main preferences are;

-Melb Uni (BA of Arts)

-La Trobe Uni (BA of Arts or BA of Archaeology)

-Flinders Uni (BA of Archaeology)

-Monash Uni (BA of Arts)

I’m also planning on attending a Residential College at UniMelb!

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 8 and continue to have seizures. If anyone wants to talk about managing disabilities with VCE or specifically epilepsy, hmu!

I'm a translator and general LOTE maniac. It's my special interest. Due to the nature of Tumblr there is no "fandom" for the concept of language learning (studyblr notwithstanding) so most of my posts are about whatever.

Known as languages guy, Astérix guy, Count von Count guy, and guy from Melbourne. Sorry I know I change my icon a lot.

I currently major in Chinese and Japanese, and minor in Indonesian. Not the only languages I do at uni or work in but you'll figure those out by yourself from my posting about them

my GOD i keep intending to post but then i always forget or get too caught up in stuff and then its like FUCKKK but im here now! in about an hour i have to leavw the house for my sibling's graduation ceremony (theyre not in college but its like a stage thing yanno?). and on the 16th im leaving for melbourne on our family trip and likely wont be able to study a lot while im there, but hey i can try my best! happy to be back, though do excuse my inconsistency. tryna figure out if i want to stay on studyblr if its not helping me allat much anym but i dont know

tuesday 20th june - post exam

best part of the day was getting free mandarins outside of my exam venue. mandarins on a cold day? peak.

the plan I had for this week didn't work. at all. I spent majority of last week procrastinating and this week making notes. I really underestimated the amount of notes i had to make for this subject, wrote a total of 30k works in a week. it's the most i have written ever, really got me wondering how the people on ao3 do it so well.

So far this is the plan. I'm sure there'll be more I have a do and even more that I won't get around to do. But this break I really want to prioritise my rest and hobbies, and time with my family and friends!

More update: I graduated last year with a bachelor of pharmaceutical sciences with honours and I’m currently working in the same field as a Research Officer. I’m gonna continue working for another year and then PhD...

13. What I'm studying at uni

I always get a bit excited when someone asks me about what I'm studying tbh!! I'm currently in my first year, I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology, which is really cool because I get to major in psych and do all the psych core subjects but I also get to pick 4 humanities/art electives a year, and I can basically choose whichever ones I want. So this semester I'm doing one about Netflix adaptations (no, I'm not joking- that is an actual class you can take) and one about Journalism. Last semester I took philosophy and creative writing. It's awesome! I love uni! My goal after uni is to become some form of social worker, I'd love to be a counsellor or something for LGBT+ kids and families. I think that would be a good career path for me.

It’s my last day in Melb before I go back to Adelaide and start my 14 days of isolation. I need to write up a plan for myself to make sure I use those 14 days wisely and reach my thesis goals before the end of semester one. Fingers crossed!!

23rd August - Brain Dissection

I finally got to have an in person class on Wednesday and I dissected a sheep brain! We got to use fixed brains for the first time, which made it so much easier to identify structures. We also got to look at some cool slides under the microscope. I forgot how fun it felt to go to classes in person.  I’ve been working hard on assessments and lecture notes, and I’ve managed to catch up on all my subjects. I’ve almost finished an entire workbook and I’m only five weeks in 😅. I’ll hopefully post some photos of my notes soon once I’ve made them neater.  I also finished my novel on Thursday and I have to wait till Friday for the next book in the series 😥.
