You would never believe that your life in the last several months will undergo so many changes, hopes, pleas and will be susceptible to so many unanswered questions and sincere prayers that will never come true.

Less than two years ago, your partner found out about her disease – about breast cancer, which, as it turned out, had been developing in the body of a young girl for several years, but only a little over a year and a half ago, during a gynecological examination, it turned out that Megurine... 

The cancer is now at a very advanced stage.

Every day your girlfriend got more and more depressed, she cried day after day, she apologized more and more to you that she doesn’t look like she used to, doesn’t smile like she used to, and isn’t like she used to be. Despite steroids, chemotherapy, despite breast removal surgery, despite a beautiful wig made of real donor hair, the young woman did not feel well. On the contrary. Each subsequent day spent in the hospital ward, on examinations, taking medications and on a special diet was more and more debilitating to her mind, and at the same time her body. Conversations with parents, with friends, with a psychologist and psychotherapist, and with you were not enough.

The twenty-five-year-old just wanted to be healthy; she wanted to go back to work, go on vacation with you, adopt a pet, and live with you again in a beautiful but small apartment in the city center. Luka wanted to go for a walk with you, go to the swimming pool, eat her favorite ice cream, and go to university and finish her education, thanking all her loved ones for their support and presence by her side. Unfortunately, everything indicated that the young girl would not leave the hospital for this year, or even the next.

“... Everything will be fine.” You said, touching your partner’s pale, slightly cool hand, and she just sighed, not looking away from the window.

“Y/N, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and I’d like to tell you something.” At that moment, she looked at you with calm eyes, slightly subdued and empty, but you still saw in them love and hope for a better tomorrow. “I wish you’d find someone better. May you be happy again and find a reason to live. I don’t think I’ll live another year, so please go away and be happy with someone else." She said softly, her gaze falling to your and her hands. The woman wanted to let go of your hand, but in the same second you squeezed her fingers much tighter.

“That’s interesting, because I have something to tell you too.” You answered seriously as you pulled a small box out of your pocket. Luka frowned. “It’s not a proposal, it’s a promise.” You added, taking out two bracelets from the black package, and then put one of them on your woman, kissing her at the same time. You put the second bracelet on yourself, and then looked at the pendants on the jewelry; yours was in the shape of a small moon, while Megurine’s was in the shape of a silver sun. “No matter what you say, I will not stop loving you. I hope you will understand my choice. I don’t need anyone but you, and nothing won’t keep us apart. I think your disease make us stronger because I know you’ll beat her.”

kei first cuz she's first born. born on 04/08 where 04 is the unlucky number and 08 is the lucky number. shes got black low pigtails and red eyes and a lil dot under her mouth and has a scratching problem when stressed but it doesnt happen often when shes little . shes sweet and adorable and nice and her voice claims are kaai yuki and megurine luka when she's older. her quirk is a mix between her parents' (kind of) where she rots things, and it manifests when shes eating dinner w her family where she holds her cup with every single one of her fingers bc she is five years old and it turns to sand right in her food. this is supposed to directly oppose how tomura got his . tomura has to get her gloves and mimi has to get her a new plate of food. she looks and acts like her father ^_^

niko is born when kei is four on 11/11. hes quiet and doesnt cry which is a little concerning to mimi. he has messy black hair and blue eyes and fishy ears and patches of blue scales, but they aren't related to his quirk. he's supposed to pull a lot from mimi appearance and personality wise. he will probably be like a cooler kagamine len. his quirk is just straight up decay , no cool bells and whistles from mimi this time. he has a tendency to touch things a lot when in stores so mimi carries baby wipes with it so it can clean his hands and not get things all sticky and gross. niko's quirk manifests when he is out with his mother and it is giving him a pep talk before going into the store , and he is being challenged to NOT put things in his mouth or on the floor. and at the end mimi gives him a high five and whoops mimi's hand gets disintegrated a little bit but mimi's a villain secretly so it carries illegal immediate healing drugs (the bullets but mimi messed w them so much so they have more hehe) right next to the baby wipes and band-aids and tylenol so its not a big deal. what IS a big deal is niko getting his quirk so shopping can wait a bit.

joi is born when niko is ten and kei is fourteen (and dead set on being a villain much to her parent's kind of dismay bc this is the worst case scenario but i will get into that later) on 06/06 because he is the fucking devil /teasing. he has black hair and red eyes and a CRIER he CRIES ALL THE TIME but its ok that ALSO pulls from mimi bc mimi used to cry all the time when it was a baby and needed extra coddling so his parents WILL GIVE HIM EXTRA CODDLING . HE IS A BABY. HE SHOULD BE BABIED. he also has shit eyesight (from mimi) so he does patch therapy. will do patch therapy ? idk if he's old enough for that but mimi is a doctor and will be able to catch poor eyesight way early. his quirk will be decay because tomura has strong fucking genes. dunno how this manifests cuz hes still six months old to me . but it will happen and no one will die . ❤️❤️

First kiss fics. Love 'em or hate 'em?

I'm pretty indifferent on them as like - a concept, but I don't like when it's being made out to be a bigger deal than it really is. I've written a few first kiss scenarios but it's kind of boring for me personally to write them as a purely romantic thing. I still don't like how I wrote it in Timely Visits Chapter 2 but I can appreciate now WHY I did it - one party explicitly couldn't appreciate the gesture as something romantic and it was done so they could understand why that was. I guess that's the theme for every first kiss I write?

Do you listen to music while you write? What songs have you been playing on loop lately?

It depends on the scene I'm writing but yes! Sometimes I'm just a lot more productive when I'm not listening to music at all and I'm on campus, but when I get into it I like listening to piano or string ensembles. If it's a lighthearted scene I put on some artcore. No vocals if I can help it, other words distract me from coming up with prose.

if it's songs on general playing on loop I guess it's like. some really obscure rock songs featuring Megurine Luka - it's a weird rabbit hole but somehow I like how they use her in these songs

Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

I fly without style by the seat of my floral pants because oh my god I cannot turn out anything good when I actually PLAN things out

Some of the fics I write that readers seemed to really like were fics I just did on a whim! Even with the multichapter fanfics I just kind of freeball the plot as I go just because I found something cooler to do!

A soft song resound in the bathroom as you brushed your hair. You just finished your P.E. lesson and before going home you wanted to improve your appearance a bit and wash your tired face with a bit of cool water. You heard the sound of a bass guitar and at the same time noticed a beautiful dark-haired girl holding the instrument in her hands. Next to her stood a blonde one with a calm expression and a delicate smile, and even further away you also noticed a young female drummer with short, brown hair. Another brunette was standing next to Yui, and they were both talking furiously about something, gesticulating with their hands.

“... Y-Y/N!” Suddenly, your new friend noticed you, and you waved at her, greeting the rest of the girls. “This is the girl I was telling you all about.” She whispered, though you heard her excited voice perfectly. After a short conversation and getting to know each of the four girls, you sat down with them at the wooden table.

“So... should I sing something to pass the test...?” You giggled, feeling much more comfortable with all than few moments ago. Yui and the other students just laughed, nodding their heads in an affirmative tone. Four teenagers wanted to see if it was true that you had an unearthly voice.

It didn't help that her hair is so short that for years she got her gender mixed up by strangers -- not that she cares that much. Kaoru is not especially girly either, wearing usually baggy clothes and loathing the idea of mini skirts.

Her normal life changed at the age of twelve when a light ray struck her -- as she protected a small child from sad ray -- which gave her unbelievable strength and other cool superpowers. And since she wasn't the only one, coincidentally two other girls from her school were in the same scenario, the mayor of Tokyo, along with the local professor Utonium, decided that they should make a super team. Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born.

V001: Powered Buttercup

Default main verse. Kaoru lives a double life, balancing being a normal girl who plays a lot of sports (particularly soccer) and every couple of days she transforms to Powered Buttercup, one of the three Powerpuff Girls which are a group of superheroines who have been protecting Tokyo for a couple of years now.

NOTE: While her canon age is of a preteen (so 13) I leave it open to all her years of High School so it can be more interesting to me. So the age range can go up to 18, and her FC for her teen/young adult self is Kenna Yatsushiro from Medaka Box.

V002: Powerless but Still Feisty

Alternative main verse. What if Kaoru Matsubara never got hit with the white Z ray? This is basically an AU in which Kaoru never got superpowers and thus never became Powered Buttercup and a member of the Powerpuff Girls Z. Kaoru just lives her daily life as normal as she can manage with the occasional monster attacking Tokyo, not like she cares about that stuff. Having so much free times on her hands she and her family can manage to travel because of her father’s job as a boxer – so there’s a chance that the Matsubara siblings become transfer students every so often.

V003: Unsure About the Future

A young adult | college verse. Unlike her friends Momoko and Miyako, Kaoru never knew what to do with her life after High School, and even after graduating she lacked any clear answers. To not feel like a waste of space to her family, however, she searched for jobs and found one of her likings. At the local gym, she’s a trainee or assistant to the official teachers and helps the little kids (and sometimes adults) around with all kinds of sports – at least the pay is good.

NOTE: Age range between 19 - 21

V004: Aspiring Warrior

A fantasy or medieval verse. Coming from a large lineage of soldiers and warriors, it’s no surprise that all three children of Captain Matsubara would want to grow up and be just like their father – even his only daughter, Kaoru, wanted to be a warrior. It did concern both parents at first since women weren’t usually seen doing battle but as the years went by and the more determined she seemed to train and fight, they stopped doubting and began to trust their daughter.

V005: Butch Girls can Just Dance too

An idol verse. Kaoru Matsubara, the biggest tomboy known in her school, would be the last person to be found getting scouted to become an idol. But it happened. It’s real. And she’s just as confused as any other would be. How did it even happen? Well, it’s all thanks to an old friend of her mother who has worked on the idol industry for years, and suggested that despite not being all that feminine, there’s a market for butch or tomboy idols out there. Kaoru only said yes to shut him up, not realizing that sealed her fate.

Now, as a member of an idol group of three, herself going as Buttercup for her stage name, and with Momoko and Miyako as partners, who ported the stage names of Blossom and Bubbles, they became the Powerpuff Girls.

V006: Guitar Hero

A rock band verse. Music has always been a part of Kaoru’s life. Sure, she’s still the tomboy sports girl who kicks butt, gets angry very easily, and is more comfortable around boys, but another way of channeling her anger (and overall feelings) is by playing the guitar. She never saw herself forming a band, much less with two of her classmates, much less with two girls such as Momoko and Miyako, but it turned out to be a great partnership (and eventually, friendship). Now she gets to kick ass not only out in the field playing football or tennis, or by fighting back idiots, but by also rocking out with her guitar.

NOTE: The age range is of 15 - 18.

V007: I Am Thou

A Persona 5 verse.

Kaoru’s family had moved to Shibuya while she was still very young, in context, her little brother was still one-year-old. But Shibuya gave them a lot more opportunities in life, especially to her and her brothers. Still living in an apartment complex but with enough space for a family of five, and with enough kids on the neighborhood for the Matsubara children to play with.

During the beginning of her High School years, Kaoru was one of the most promising talents of the volleyball team, being able to hold her ground against girls and boys from Shujin Academy. That all changed, however, once Kamoshida entered the picture. She couldn’t pinpoint what irked her about the guy, as he seemed like a cool teacher, but decided to take no chances and stood her ground. It didn’t last for long, as she herself decided to quit the volleyball after one week with Kamoshida as the new coach.

Much time later is when she would find herself by accident in the Metaverse, soon to discover Sakamoto Ryuji and the new student with a weird looking cat and strange outfits. But most importantly, the surprise on her face at seeing the school as a medieval palace, and Kamoshida as his worst self, compared to no other. Learning what happened behind the scenes no much longer after she parted the volleyball team, the abuse of her classmates, what actually happened to the track team, the truth behind Sakamoto’s injury… it filled her with rage.

And then, she heard a voice coming from deep within her heart. It hurt like hell, like going crazy with madness, but it spoke clearly and with conviction. That voice knew what Kaoru wanted, what she wanted to do for so long ever since she laid her green eyes upon the shifty coach. A pact was made, a mask ripped off, and her true self finally blossomed. With a new outfit, a flashy mask, and a very large hammer, Buttercup the Phantom Thief was born alongside her Persona: Anne Bonny.

V008: Explosive Fighter

A My Hero Academia verse. No matter if it’s the strength of her father of the speed of her mother, Kaoru cannot use both at the same time. However, her stubbornness and anger make her continue to try to use both. It isn’t completely impossible to dominate both quirks and use them without much drawback, but she’s still young. Currently, she’s a first-year, struggling to keep her emotions in check when fighting.

Quirk: Lightning Bolt. Her parents had different quirks – her father having super strength while her mother was as fast as lightning. Unlike both of her siblings, who only inherited one of the quirks, Kaoru developed both. First, it was the super strength, which they discovered when she was able to lift the sofa with one arm, while both of her parents were sitting on it, at the age of four; the lightning speed cropped up one year later.

her wish, as much as she will deny it to the world, is for people, especially boys, to not forget she’s still a girl. that as embarrassed she may feel, kaoru does want to be treated nicely, to receive kind gestures, to be seen as someone desirable in a romantic way. but again, very stubborn about it.

her egg is, of course, green. well, the base is green with some different shades of it around it, but there are also some details in yellow, like the flowers spread around the egg.

her chara, after the egg hatched, is a female wearing a white dress and a flower crown on her head ( think of megurine luka’s white dress in “Just be Friends”). the hair, color green, reached past her shoulders. her name is Hana
