My Megan Washington collection is modest, I have loved her music since I found her in High School thanks to iTunes 'Song of The Week'. They featured 'How To Tame Lions' once and then I purchased a copy of Cream Mag which offered up a free download of the No Device remix of 'Cement'. And finally, I saw her on RockWiz. I was like WHO IS THIS AMAZING PERSON?!

I went to my local Record Store and ordered in the deluxe version of her first album 'I Believe You Liar' which I took to Apollo Bay Festival to get signed by Meg. A cricket flew onto her at some point during the show which startled her and made us all laugh. The cricket was just a huge fan. She seemed so confused when I offered it to her to sign as she said "Oh? You bought this from home?" I guess a lot of people were buying the jewel case version in the merch tent and getting her to sign it. I was pretty chuffed with myself.

I bought her T-shirt and wore it so often that it went really thin and a bit yucky (I didn't understand how to use napisan back then lol). I always styled it with a black sequin beanie similar to the one she wore in the film clip for 'Sunday Best', black Ray Ban knock off sunnies and black sequin flats. I felt so stylish.

It now lives in my box of Band Shirts I don't fit/over wore and refuse to throw away. I hope the jumper lasts longer, because it is my favourite to wear in my current clothes rotation. I don't want to burn my incense until I finally save enough to move out of my parents house and into a flat of my own, so I can make it a real event/ritual. Make it a thing.

This is a personal project that would not have been possible without the support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Thanks to the entire team for their generous access during training exercises and patrols this Summer. Since the Service began in 1973, it has carried out more than 21,000 missions ranging from urgent patient transfers to dangerous search and rescue missions.

This film is 100% 'real', but there are some new techniques for me here, such as using time lapse to create the illusion of forward movement for the helicopter ocean scenes. These flight sequences would not be possible without the skill and patience of Chief Pilot Peter Yates. Thanks also to Trevor Cracknell (for getting wet!) and Family.
