Gonna continue my Megaman Junior rant. Sorry.

This time it's about his looks.

Many years ago I saw a manga artist design Patch and Megaman Junior. And while Patch got an original look.

Megaman Junior is just a carbon copy of Megaman.

Which sucks even more then his name ass name. There wasn't even a hint of Roll in his looks!!! Not one!!!

I unfortunately can't find those designs again, seems like they're lost to time.

The last time I saw them was over 10 years ago though. Think it was in 2011.

I just remember it so well cause it stuck out to me, and I was super disappointed when I saw it.

I’m not very good at character designing so I can’t picture how he’d look, but I would want it to be like how you would do for a typical fankid—a nice blend of both parents

Meet Jade, Mecha and Pixie!! They are Megaman and Pac-Man’s kids, known as the Pac-Bots -Jade: She is a Pac-Bot and the first daughter of Megaman and Pac-Man. She always gets scared at everything, even at things like small animals. When she uses her battle form, she becomes like her mother during a mission, fighting with bad people and save others who are in danger. She likes to have good times with her parents, especially her mom. She can be smart but a bit dumb when she sees something that scares her.

-Mecha: He is a Pac-Bot and the second child of Megaman and Pac-Man. He likes to have aventures every time, he thinks that he can do it without his parents,he doesn't care if these are extremely dangerous for him. He almost has the same powers as his mom, but he's a bit more faster than his dad

-Pixie: She is a small Pac-Bot and the third/last child of Megaman and Pac-Man. Despite that she's a 3 years old, she has a big appetite like her dad, and she can even make a huge chaos when she starts to crying loud. She likes to stay with her siblings and play with them in Tea Parties. She has a speech disability, so she must wear a voice necklace in order to communicate with others

so im revamping Vennie’s lore and nobody asked but im gonna explain it! for those who dont know she’s my “fankid” with snakeman. iwill also explain some of my ship lore but -

here’s her ref! now to go into detail under the cut. tw for child illness (everyones ok in the end!) and mention of surgery and parents

so! my old lore for her was weird - not like, problematic, just . weird but we’re disregarding that bc i don’t like that lore anymore. but! her new lore starts with her being a sickly child at an orphanage. 

this is Pan. at the time this lore starts, 20 year old Pan, who is a scientist/doctor of sorts and friends with Dr Light (the man who built Megaman and co-built many of the robot masters with Dr Wily, before Wily turned evil along w taking the majority of the robots to make them HIS evil designs-) and Pan is called in to help with 6 year old Vennie, who isn’t getting any better

to save Vennie’s life from her sickness, Pan operates to make the child into a cyborg, and adopts her to keep an eye on her as well as give her love and care like any parent should (the bunny ears were actually vennie’s request but they can be taken off and arent her. real ears. more like a headset JFNHKFJHN)

moving on, over time Pan and Vennie grow closer as parent and child. now, vennie is 8 and a menace to society. Pan tries to keep her new daughter safe from Dr. Wily and his men, but as Pan is then targeted soon after (Dr Wily mistakes her for a rogue robot, but really Pan just built her own fighting suit) she has to protect Vennie

as Snakeman and Pan begin a relationship later, tho, Vennie and him bond.

SO bc i was talking abt character names earlier, HERE’S ALL THE REASONING BEHIND ALL THE NAMES IN CHAOSVERSE

Chaosverse itself started as just kind of a general name i used for my various Sonic aus during KL-- yknow, like any of the Sonic-related worlds Ku and friends would end up visited would be labeled as part of the Chaosverse, bc Chaos Emeralds. it just kinda stuck, even though now the AUs/stories originally under that label are now under the name Shattered Worlds. the fancy designation for it, CAV-4, is because Chaosverse and the 4 is a reference to Shattered Worlds.

Sik is pretty fun-- in-universe, “Sik” is a corruption of “SK”, which is short for “Super Katie” (my ~online name~ for a while). King’s the only character that still calls him Katie or SK, though. his last name, Lang, is a reference to a character i had in a dA group that was designed after him named Language; es name got shortened to Lang a lot, and when i wanted to change Sik’s last name from what it originally was (more on that in a bit) it just sounded nice.

Tide originally had water powers! and was blue. now she’s kinda like... i dunno, seafoam green? her last name, Sanglo, was suggested by a friend and im not sure where he got it from. we say it kind of like “sand glow” but without the d, and i have no idea if thats how it was intended to be pronounced. the cool alias she uses while EX Gear racing, Riptide, was a name she had a bit in 2007 (oh god).

Kara’s original name for, like, the longest time, was Caracal so i just shortened it and turned the C into a K. she’s technically Kara the Caracal, which is... why i changed it bc having a caracal oc named Caracal felt a bit silly. originally her full name was Caracal Catt, so i usually write her down as Kara the Cat. she doesnt have a last name anymore because i couldnt think of any that i liked

Double and Copy’s kinda pokes fun at something from Shattered Worlds, where Tails’s interdimensional clone got named Copy and there was a good amount of angst over it and it sucked to look back on. the Dallas boys are basically expies of those two, but it didnt really make sense for Copy’s nickname to exist when he’s not a clone, they’re just parallel selves. so... the idea is that they’re poking fun at the idea in-universe by calling each other the “fake” as a joke. their actual name, Daedalus, is uh... the name i gave to Tails’s fankid with Tide in SW, and their last name Perrow is a corruption of Prower (which Jorb came up with). so, yeah, these two literally started out as two Tailses.

Aile is named after one of the player characters from Megaman ZX for no reason beyond the fact that i was major into it at the time and i thought it sounded nice. the fact that he has a matching name with Vent was a total accident because originally they werent ever going to interact, and now theyre boyfriends? i have absolutely no memory of where his last name, Graff, came from.

Vent is also named after one of the player characters from Megaman ZX! again, no reason beyond the fact that i really like the game and i thought it sounded cool. his full name is written down on toyhouse as Test Model NM-155 “Vent”, with the NM standing for “Neometal” as in Neo Metal Sonic. i dont remember where the numbers came from. his first name pre-roboticization, Evan, is.. actually a reference to Evan Stanley, the creator of the sonic fancomic Ghosts of the Future & artist on Archie Sonic + IDW! im pretty sure. fun fact: in SW, he was codenamed “Mekion”, which is straight up a Netraptor reference.

King is named after our best friend from middle school, who he’s also based off of (although the friend spelled it with a “y” last we knew him). kyng was like, one of the only people we knew irl that was into sonic, and he helped us come up with a lot of ideas and stories and characters that carries over even into cv. we... kind of stole his character design after we moved away, lol. him being Sik’s cousin was something established with kyng years ago as a fun background detail, and then it ended up becoming plot relevant in cv? wild. his last name that he doesnt really use, Roe, was actually Sik’s last name for years and he ended up with it to like.. reinforce the fact that theyre related? i think we came up with it bc a) we knew someone with it as a last name and we thought it was kinda cool and b) SK’s boyfriend (who no longer exists, he was created by someone we havent talked to in about 10 years) had it as a pun name... thing. (Cojiro -> Coji Roe)

Seven is hilarious because i kept struggling with naming her. her name was originally Kath, then it kept getting changed-- the only one i remember is Lee-- and i was telling jorb about it like “god damn i cant think of a good name for her, she’s had like seven names” and he joked that she should be named Seven and... and now she’s named Seven. mostly because her last name is Zero, which is a reference to Chaos 0 because when i first came up with her she was like... an analogue to Tikal, like how King used to be an analogue to Sonic.

Amber is kind of boring. i liked the name, and her last name Rush is because i wrote a fanfic with her and Seven years and years ago where they were going through all the Sonic Rush levels together (i think it was called “Kath’s Adventure: Sonic Rush” or something like that).

Lynn is from the same fanfic, actually! him, amber, and seven are friends. his name was originally “Light” because he could run at the speed of light or some shit, so i just... picked a name that was vaguely similar. i dont remember where his last name Kimberly came from and i cant seem to find any like.. written down evidence of it coming into existence?

Vance was originally named Ven but then Vent started existing and it was bound to get super confusing so i changed it. WAIT HOLD ON APPARENTLY THEIR NAME USED TO BE VEN LYNNE? WHAT. OKAY. i guess Layton was kind of picked bc of starting w/ the same letter???

Isaac Brenlo was entirely named by someone else! he’s a legacy character of sorts, in that a couple plot-important characters were made and written by somebody else in rps and they carried over. i forgot he had a first name for a really long time tho bc he’s usually just called brenlo

Brooke is named after someone we knew! kind of! we keep calling her by her last name bc thats what our friend’s name was. her first name, Emily, was a character that friend had. there is... basically no correlation beyond that, i think.

Wayne is a legacy character like brenlo (and is even by the same person), and i dont remember where his name came from. i think it was originally intended to be something just kinda silly-sounding, bc he was a joke character for a while before becoming serious and plot-important. his last name, Bay, is a reference to a major location in the rp continuity and also where he lived, Junkyard Bay! fun fact he used to be a prower.

Tru is, uh. i dont remember where her first name is from, but her last name is bc “they’re good dogs, brent”

i’m pretty sure Octave got named Octave bc i thought it sounded cool. her last name, Trigger, is... actually the name of a different oc i had around the same time? Trigger the Mongoose. they had no connection and i kind of forgot she existed until now. she had horrible fashion sense but now octave has her colourscheme on sheer accident (bc octave’s palette was randomized)

uhhh what else is interesting... Ripley got her name from a SRB2 modpack oc i had that was like, a tails clone, and the plot of the modpack was you were trapped on a space station that got attacked by metroids and you had to escape, so its probably a reference to Ripley from Alien? cvsonic has a first name and its Oliver bc of the stupid name ken penders came up with and i made it less bad. (she also has a last name! it’s Lang. cause, yknow, sik’s her cousin.) jorb came up with Suki (Blue’s real name) which is also derived from SK like Sik is! and.. i think that’s it.
