One of the best megaman fangames ever created, and a very hefty one at that. I fondly enjoyed my time with the game, and I think that if we ever get a FPS megaman game, it'll have to stand toe to toe with this behemoth.

Full campaign spanning all 10 of the mainline games, lobby systems to play with others (though the ship has long sailed for it being the hot thing to play) and a massive modding community adjusting the dozens and dozens of weapons from class-based mods to custom skins. (There was a massive list somewhere that featured a ton, but its since been taken down/hidden from my searches. Chances are most were stolen sadly, but without knowing that it was fun to jump around and see what custom sound effects they'd have)

Overall, if you're a fan of Megaman or classic boomer shooters like Doom (which this game is built upon) I'd highly recommend it. Its overall a fantastic play

Friend and I have been playing Megaman 8 bit Deathmatch lately. He's so silly, love his sound and also spawning him in tight enclosed hallways.

gottem. also 2 things 1. i see the homestuck font. don't you think i don't 2. PLAY MM8BDM. stands for mega man 8 bit deathmatch. it's a doom mod fangame that has its own entire original story, does a lot with duo n the space RMs, MAKES EVIL ROBOT/TRIO AN ACTUAL CHARACTER, includes Ra Moon and Ra Thor, has an original character as the protagonist who's genderless and mute, and overall does more with the classic series concepts than capcom ever will. it also covers events from mm8 onwards in its own version of events (7 maybe? but that one's largely inconsequential), so it's not just a retelling of the events of the games as an arena shooter. it has a lot of good character interactions too!! it's a rly good well made game that gave me terminal megaman brainworms and one of my partners got infected with said brainworms as a result. they also do a lot with King btw and they include the genesis units as bosses including a boss fight against all 3 at once. oh and the boss fights are REALLY good too. so ya play mm8bdm there is NO corner of the classic series it doesn't cover and it's rly fun

i've played mm8bdm and have been familiar with it since basically when it first released over a decade ago in 2010 and have been following it ever since. i had to be like 8-9 when it first dropped and i was so autistically hooked on it since because i was super into megaman and the classic doom games at the time not gonna lie V6 of mm8bdm dropping in 2020 was the thing that brought megaman back into my brain as a major special interest because not only did it have mm10 but it also had the stardroids in it which was something i wanted to see since i was literally a kid mm8bdm is genuinely so based for maestro my gender-neutral babygirl that's highly implied to be an alien robot, but also for making trio the big villain and the final boss literally being a kaiju fight w/ trio possessing the wily star genuinely crazy how 8BDM just consistently knocked it out of the park w/ it's story mode and the bosses, the wily robo iron golem fight w/ king and duo is still one of the coolest things i've ever seen in a video game ever also transfem pluto posting because i want to spread the joy of autism

I've heard of 8 bit deathmatch but I'm honestly not the biggest fan of it :,)

I’ve been hanging out a lot on the Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch side of Doom as of late. I’ve been acquainted for a good chunk of years, but the devs are a really chill and fun batch of folks and I’ve been enjoying doing stuff with them.

With seeing Maestro being a thing in Hellshots Golf, one of the devs (Russel/Lego) took a shot at an 8-Bit Deathmatch style map for Golf. It looks really, really cool, and there’s a lot of nice paths to go through--it’s probably one of the most impressive maps yet, I think! I can’t thank him enough for his work.

Hellshots now sits at 30 maps--we have only six more to go until we get another full set of courses! It’s certainly been a surprisingly long trek, but I’m excited to put this out and see how people take it.
