Listen, I love the idea of Megatron carrying Ultra Magnus bridal-style but I believe that Ultra is fully capable of picking up and carrying Megs like that as well. Its implied in "Endgame Part II" that they fought during the war and, knowing how scared Megatron sounded when he mistaken Optimus for him, Ultra has to be pretty strong. Not to mention, Ultra is quite large for an Autobot and is about as tall as Starscream, who comes to about the top of Megatron's chest.

It's just:

Sentinel: "There's no way Ultra Magnus can carry Megatron! The old bot would probably topple over attempting to pick that glitch-head."

Ultra Magnus: (Walks into the room carrying Megatron and not breaking a sweat) "Care to repeat that, Sentinel Prime?"

Sentinel: (Jaw drops)

Megatron: (In Ultra's arms, smirking)

Or

Sentinel: "Magnus is a weak pu-"

Ultra: (Kicks open a door while carrying Megatron and not even struggling) "Guess again, shit-head!"

This is a ficlet for a TFA Au that has been brewing in my mind for a while. I'm not sure if I'll be able to write a full-length fic about it.

Essentially, Ultra Magnus and Megatron were once lovers. The cons all lived on a large colony ship known as the Hull. It would occasionally visit Cybertron for supplies, which is how they first became familiar. When they were older, Mags promised Megs that he would be there during his darkest hour. He couldn't keep his promise when Megs needed him most.

Megs became the Hull's leader and modified it so that it could land anywhere except Cybertron.

Many years later, the Optimus team and Ultra Magnus needed to go there for something. There they discovered that Optimus has a matrix spark. Making him THE prime, the only one capable of defeating the big bad (who I have yet to figure out who). Optimus had locked himself in his room, and Megatron went to check on him, resulting in this.

Megatron tentatively knocked on the door.

“Yo kid, are you doing okay?”

Optimus didn't answer; Megatron knocked again, but Optimus still wouldn't answer. When Megatron knocked the third time and Optimus still wouldn't answer, Megatron typed in the override code.

The door slid open to Optimus’s bedroom; the area was clean and organized, but there was no Optimus.

Megatron spun around and quickly walked down the hallway as he spoke into his communicator.

“We have a missing mech here; check all security cameras for a red and blue bot, and look for recent ENGX trails leaving the Hull.”

Reports began flooding the communicator within minutes.

"There is footage of him leaving his room around 12:34."

"We have footage of a red and blue bot heading to ship dock Z-4."

"There's an hour-old ENGX trail.”

"That idiotic kid," Megatron thought angrily to himself. "He's seriously doing this right now?"

He dashed down the winding and turning passageway to the one person he knew would be of help in this situation, regardless of how he felt about them.

He rushed to room MA-16 and quickly entered the override code. As the door slid open, he saw Ultra Magnus in his chair, reading from his pad. Magnus instantly looked up, his face filled with confusion.

"Optimus is gone."

"What?!" Magnus exclaimed as he quickly stood up from his chair, sending the pad in his servos tumbling to the ground. Ultra Magnus followed closely behind Megatron as they went to the nearest ship dock.

"He's not on the ship," Megatron stated. "That stupid kid believes that because he is the Prime, he must face everything alone, but he doesn't. Is he aware how selfish and stupid this is? He is leaving those he cares about behind. Did he ever consider their feelings?"

Ultra Magnus stared at Megatron, his face sinking as he said

"This isn't just about Optimus."

Megatron came to a halt, his breathing heavy, and turned sharply to Magnus.

"Of course, this isn't all about Optimus!" Megatron yelled angrily, "This is also about you!" Tears welling up in his eyes.

His chest heaved with each sharp breath before he continued, this time in a low voice that gradually became louder and more painful.

"Why didn't you come? Don't use the "Cybertron was in need" argument. Do you know how long I waited before realizing you weren't coming? Do you know how much pain I felt? I cried myself to sleep for such a long time. You promised to be there for me during my darkest hours. Well, guess what? That was my darkest hour. And you weren't there!"

He turned away from him, his head tilted upward as if to prevent tears from falling. "We needed you," he said quietly. His head sank as he wrapped his arms around himself, allowing tears to fall as he spoke in a hurt whisper.

"I needed you."

Magnus said nothing and reached out his hand to Megatron's shoulder. He hesitated for a moment before placing his hand on Megatron's shoulder, causing him to tense up.

He remained silent at first, then spoke in a shaky voice. "I am sorry, Megatron. There's no excuse for what I did. I left you when you needed me the most. It's one of my biggest regrets in life."

There was silence for a moment, then Megatron slowly turned to Magnus and tilted his head up at him. His face was no longer of anger but of sorrow, tears freely falling down his cheeks.

Magnus slowly pulled him into a hug.

Megtron tensed. Then he relaxed, burying his face into Magnus' shoulder and wrapping his arms around him, finally releasing years of suppressed emotions and tears.

Magnus held him, holding back his own tears. He wasn't strong for him before, but he will be now.

Rodimus feeling bad after the inevitable breakup with Drift and Ratchet, they were more interested in having him in the berth than anything else and he wanted something more. With this happening in the past with Megatron and Ultra Magnus for the same reason, Rodimus wants to swear off dating for good but Soundwave joins the Lost Light and, soon, starts seriously courting Rodimus. He always had a crush on the mech and doesn't want to lose his chance. Despite hesitation, Rodimus can tell Soundwave is sincere and he begins to fall in love with him.

The two end up getting together - And, soon after, the other two couples (Drift/Ratchet, Megatron/Ultra Magnus) realize what they let go and want to court Rodimus too but whoops too late now to court him. Rodimus is happily planning his Conjunx Ceremony with Soundwave and is expecting a bitty on the way.

He sobbed in his bed feeling his spark break even though he knew it was the right thing to do, didn't make it hurt any less.

He loved Ratchet and Drift and for a long time he imagined building a life together with them. He'd been so madly in love he hadn't realized they didn't feel the same way.

He knows they love him but not in the way he wants. They see him as a friend with benefits and he wanted more.

He loved his time with them and would treasure it but he needed to move on. He deserved more than being a quick frag always waiting for them to call him so they could hook up.

He shifted suddenly feeling anxious. This wasn't the first time this has happened. As much as it pains him he went through the same thing with Megatron and Ultra Magnus. He thought this time was different and that Drift and Ratchet really loved him. Part of him was scared that being someone's friends with benefits was the best he was going to get and that no one would ever love him.

The idea made him cry as loneliness weld up inside of him. He found himself praying to Primus to help him find love as he slipped into recharge.

In the morning he didn't remember his prayer just the pain and sadness at another relationship not working out.

He decided to swear off dating not wanting to get his spark broken. After having this happen twice it was obvious no one wanted him and he decided to take the hint.

Some people just weren't meant to be loved and he was one of those unlucky people destined to be alone.

Then almost like an intervention from Primus his old crush decided to join the Lost Light.

People had been weary and stayed away from Soundwave a few accusing him of following Megatron, believing the ex warlord was up to something.

Soundwave quickly and brutally squashed those rumors down still hating Megatron for leaving.

Megatron kept himself scarce not wanting to deal with an angry Soundwave. Every time they were in the same room together he'd glare.

It made him curious and he found himself asking why he joined the Lost Light if he knew Megatron was on it. Soundwave had shrugged.

"I don't know I just had this weird feeling I was needed."

After that conversation the two start hanging out more. He didn't realize at first still getting over his last breakup and it wasn't until an annoyed Tailgate. Who was tired of watching them dance around each other. Told him that Soundwave had been flirting with him the entire time and quite blatantly.

He'd looked at the minicon in shock thinking back to their past interactions. He felt conflicted even though he liked the mech back. He was scared that it wouldn't work out and didn't want to be rejected again.

Soundwave is very patient and let's him work out his feelings. Talking to Rung he decides to take a chance wanting to be happy.

For the first time someone was pursuing him not the other way around when it came to being in a relationship.

The two started off slowly having been hurt in the past. Both of them falling more in love each day. As they spent time with each other. Eventually they moved in together and began practicing their rights wanting to get bonded.

Being with Soundwave was the happiest he'd ever been and it showed. His whole frame seemed to glow with happiness attracting a lot of attention.

Drift, Ratchet, Megatron and Ultra Magnus had looked at him in surprise having never seen him like that before.

They'd started acting weird and he became distressed when he realized they were trying to court him. Finally realizing their feeling for him.

The thought terrified him but Soundwave was there to step in. After having them walk in on Soundwave fragging him into the desk they left him alone.

A few days later and he began to throw up. Worried about the stress they'd put him under when they decided to court him. Soundwave took him to the medbay worried about his health and planning vengeance if he was seriously ill. It was then revealed that he was sparked.

Both of them were excited and decided to push up their bonding date. Knowing they loved each other and wanting to get bonded as their new life began.

TFA Megatron wins the war and has a harem consisting of Ultra Magnus, Optimus, Rodimus, and Sentinel. Ultra is his main conjux but the others are his trophy wives. While Megatron plans to take Earth as part of his new empire, Ultra devises ways to at least get the three Primes out of the city of Iacon away from the Decepticons and Megatron so they could get to safety and possibly start a resistance.

It's a constant battle of appeasing Megatron and keeping the Primes out of the warlord's line of sight for other nefarious reasons, sacrificing himself for pleasure and pain. This, of course, leaves him sparked up with Megatron trying to go after Optimus next to Ultra's horror.

The other Autobots would be taken with other Decepticons planning their escapes as well. Some will fall to their enslavement adoring their new Con mates while others would be quite resilient.

Megatron would figure out this plan of Ultra's and play along, stopping him at every turn secretly until he breaks his conjux and his pets to fully obey him. It would be psychological warfare, and who better to have the biggest game of chess in this hell than the two leaders themselves?

What happens afterwards?...I wouldn't have a clue. Food for thought...

Ultra Magnus abusing his power to get Megatron's old posters. Megatron's posing for the crowd, meant to convince people to come to his shows, and Magnus HATES him. SO MUCH. That's why Magnus is collecting all these posters. Because he hates him. And wants to make sure no one else is seduced by forced to look at him. Totally. That's why he does it

But once he's alone, surrounded by all these old posters of Megatron flexing and killing monsters and posing and- Magnus doesn't even realize his panels are open until he's already touching himself. He hates Megatron, but he hates how sexy Megatron is more. He can't help himself, gripping his spike and rubbing his node, trying not to damage these old posters as he leans over them.

He overloads harder than he's ever overloaded in his entire life and swears to never do it again.

He lasts a week before he's back in his Megatron room desperately jacking off to Megatron's face.

It has been fifteen weeks. Fifteen weeks since they last saw Optimus. Sentinel claims that he didn't see his brother on September 24th. Elita was upset but didn't say anything. Alpha Trion and Ultra Mangus were sending Autotroopers to find their lost creation. Sentinel looked at Optimus's quarters, his room was empty. A tomb. Elita asked Sentinel, "Is it my fault that he's missing?" Sentinel denied it every time, but he also felt guilty. Alpha Trion came into the main room with tears in his optics. "Where is Optimus? Did you find him? Is he alive?". Alpha Trion shook his helm. "he's dead. His spark was ripped open" The house was silent as a mouse or a quiet as a corspe. Ever since that day, Optimus' quarters have been untouched and left, a tomb, a reminder of who had that room.

Chapter 2

Optimus was found dead, his body mangled. His body didn't even look Cybertronian... It looked melted, burnt past repair, destroyed. But this wasn't his body, at least not his spark. Megatron "killed" Optimus by ripping out the child's spark, he took some of his and Ultra's DNA and what was left of Optimus and made that into a child, the reincarnation of Optimus, her name was Optima.

Chapter 3

TWO DAYS. Two days after Optimus' funeral. Sentinel and Elita were silent and crying. Alpha Trion and Ultra Mangus were arguing and fighting. "we are NOT touching his room. " Ultra Mangus and Alpha Trion debated whether they should leave Optimus' room be or donate what is in his room.

Okay, HOW WOULD THE COUNCIL REACT TO ULTRA MAGNUS being sparked with Optimus? Better yet, how did Megatron find out Optimus is HIS sparkling

Okay I have thought about this scenario dozens of times and the million ways it could go. Bear with me, okay?

Most scenarios involve Megatron and Ultra Magnus fragging the night before the Decepticons are to leave Cybertron. Ultra would get sparked with Optimus but he would only find out weeks after the 'Cons left. Megatron being out of communications range. Ultra upon finding out already loves their sparkling and decides to keep it.

Here comes the problem: telling the Council. Now, if the Council is like their Canon selves, they wouldn't necessarily be happy but they won't turn their backs on Ultra either; they eventually come around to Ultra having the sparkling. But if the Council was like their IDW 1 selves...

They wouldn't be happy. At all. Like admonishing Ultra and demanding that he'd terminate his carrying cycle. And in AU's where Ultra is half Decepticon, Allspark help him because it's worse, like bitching about how there's gonna be another hybrid, slut-shaming the Magnus, saying horrible things about the sparkling even before it's born, maybe trying to marry off Ultra, or maybe trying to convince Ultra to have the sparkling marry one of the Council Members kids when it's older (doesn't work because Ultra beat the shit out of the first person who dares to think of his child that way!)

It's a mess.

Now if course, there is the issue of telling the Council as to who the Sire is. Telling them outright that Megatron is the Sire would get him Court Martial, stripped of his rank and status as an Autobot, have the sparkling taken away from him, and facing jail time or exile. So he lies: he tells them that he had been in a secret relationship with another 'Bot for some time but unfortunately, the 'Bot died during the Battle for Iacon and their remains obliterated and unable to be recovered during the fight between Blackout and one of the Omega Sentinels. He would also say that the 'Bot had no surviving family and had requested that there would be no funeral if their remains couldn't be recovered. The Canon Council wouldn't be surprised that Ultra had been seeing someone and had suspected it for a while and respects the Magnus's wishes. The Council that is like their IDW 1 selves wouldn't believe Ultra but couldn't do anything because they had no proof.

As for Megatron finding out, I honestly haven't thought of it that much but I'll try my best.

It could happen near the end of Megatron Rising, Part 2, where Optimus and Megatron are fighting onboard Omega Supreme when the Allspark shows that they are father and son. Where it can go from there, I don't know.

Now this one I have thought of. During the Elite Guard's stay on Earth, Ultra Magnus gets captured by the Lugnut and Blitzwing and is brought to Megatron. The Warlord treats him well and they even interface. But something happens and Ultra reveals that Optimus is his son. Megatron, doesn't believe him at first and goes to confront the Prime despite Ultra's pleas. He gets a strand of Optimus CNA and sure enough, he's his son. He is upset at Ultra at first but comes to understand why Ultra keep it secret (especially if the Council is Functionist).

These are just the scenarios where Ultra raised Optimus (and for the record, in AU's where Ultra raised Optimus, the sentence "Being a hero is not in your programming" was not said by the Magnus , it was either unsaid or spoken by Alpha Trion.) Now AU's where Ultra Magnus gave up Optimus for adoption are different: Ultra gets sparked before the War really broke out (there's no rape involved), hides his carrying cycle, gives up Optimus (reluctantly) because he can't provide a good life for him and him and Megatron are on bad terms, and the Council never knew. When Optimus and Megatron find out, there's a lot of drama but there is eventually reconciliation, genuine apologies, and peace between both sides.

I have one even worse. Optimus was raised by Ultra up until he was the equivalent of a Cybertronian four-year old when the Functionist Council discovers that Megatron is his Sire. They take Optimus away from Ultra, temporarily imprisoned the Magnus so that by the time Optimus is with a new family that it's already too late to find him, and either performed mnemosurgery on Optimus or Optimus is so traumatized that he blocks out any and all memories during that time including the identity of his Carrier. Ultra is either sterilized or is forcibly married of to a Council Member or Senator. When Megatron finds out, Unicron won't be able to save the Council.

For more lighthearted stuff, I got two scenarios. During the War, something that threatens the existence of both sides (probably the Quintessons) forces the Autobots and Decepticons to join forces. Megatron and Ultra goes from enemies to reluctant allies to lovers. Quintessons lose, peace is achieved, Megatron and Ultra Magnus become co-rulers and sparkmates, and they have Optimus and some other sparklings (my OCs). Scenario 2 involves Ultra getting kicked out of the Elite Guard while he was Ultra Prime, meeting Megatron and falling in love, joining the Decepticons, becoming Decepticon second-in-command (much to Starscream's displeasure) and eventually Lord Consort, and they have Optimus and his six or more siblings (don't worry, Optimus wasn't parentified and none of the sparklings were neglected in any way, shape, or form).

Just remembered one of your posts talking about Magnus being able to hold Megatron because the suit has him large and that’s all I can think of right now. Like “Megatron please go to bed” and so Magnus has to simply take him against his will. And Rodimus is like “someone record this”
