An Unpredictable Escape Plan
The Security Guard has learned too much about Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, and he senses his death looming. So, he tries to escape by means of crawling through a vent. But nothing appears to be going to plan...
This fanfic was somewhat suggested by @gamequeenanya! I sent you the fanfic beforehand, and you gave me some wonderful praise, which I humbly appreciate. This fanfic is about the security guard in the intro of the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie. So...I hope everyone else enjoys the fanfic too! The tickles get a little intense by the end, so just a forewarning.
The security guard could feel his heart bursting out of his chest. He had learned far too much about the history of this place while on the job…He was going to die if he stayed here for even another minute…Luckily, he had managed to find a vent that had led him out to another area of the pizzeria. Using this, he was able to avoid the terrifying animatronics while escaping from the horrible place. He didn’t care about his paycheck anymore. If he was going to live another day, he would have to crawl through the cobwebs in the vents to get there.
The security guard crawled out of the vent and ran through the hall. His mind was spiraling as he tried to find an exit. Where is the exit? There’s gotta be an exit around here somewhere. This place wouldn’t be built without at least two exits. There was one entrance that could also work as an exit. But the entrance was in the middle of the pizzeria where the animatronics were! And there was no way he could escape without them getting him!
He looked forward and gasped with surprise and relief. A door?! IS THIS AN EXIT?! YES! He can finally get out of here! He was so close to smelling the cool air of the night outside! He didn’t care how freezing it was gonna be outside. Cause anything was better than being locked up and left for dead in that stupid pizzeria! SCREW YOU, ANIMATRONICS!
He reached the door and pushed the door down, expecting it to open. But when it didn’t, he tried it again. It didn’t open. No! Is it jammed?! He pushed hard on the door, hoping something would loosen. But it wasn’t working! Why isn’t it working?!
He froze in horror when he heard the humming of someone behind him. Oh no…
He slowly turned himself around, and gasped as his eyes fell on one of the animatronics! Though the shadows hid most of the animatronic’s body, he knew EXACTLY who it was.
It was Foxy! AND HE HAD CORNERED HIM! NO!
The security guard pushed on the door a few more times as he heard Foxy’s rapid footsteps coming closer. Shit, shit, shiT, SHIT, SHIT! COME ON, YOU STUPID DOOR! WHY WON’T IT OPEN?!
He turned around and leaned against the locked door, and widened his eyes as Foxy jumpscared the security guard by SCREAMING at him and making the lights flicker around him!
The security guard let out a SCREAM of his own. His body was completely frozen in place, riddled with anxiety and impending doom. He was done for…this is it! He was going to die in this old, rugged place, and no one was ever going to find his body!
Foxy picked up the security guard with its hand and its hook, and carried the security guard out of the hallway. The security guard kicked and shouted, reaching for anything to grab so he could stop Foxy from carrying him away. Anything to not be killed by the evil robots!
“HELLO?! HELLOOO?! IS ANYONE OUT THERE?! HELP ME!” He shouted in a pleading voice.
Foxy carried the security guard farther and farther down the hall and turned towards the main part of the Pizzeria. Freddy, Chica and Bonnie all turned around, and observed the Foxy animatronic carrying the security guard towards them in its arms.
“Wait…WAIT NO! PLEASE, LET ME GO!” The security guard yelled, visibly terrified. Foxy picked up the security guard and turned him around, so he was forced to face the animatronics. “Ohgod…” He muttered.
The animatronics looked at each other, almost like they were conversing. The security guard was left in the dark as the animatronics nodded their heads and ‘talked’ to each other. Then, the security guard widened his eyes as he felt a pair of eyes staring him down from above him. Was…Was Foxy staring at him?! He slowly turned to look at Foxy, before whimpering in fear. He was right…Foxy was staring him down.
And then he felt the hook and the hand adjusting themselves on his hips! He started tugging and contorting his hips every which way so that he could potentially get out in the middle of Foxy’s adjustment. But even when Foxy was adjusting, the security guard was just too weak to properly fight against this robot. The strength levels were undoubtedly unmatched, and the security guard knew that no matter how hard he tried, he would never be able to get out of Foxy’s grip…well, at least until Foxy chose to let him go.
“P-Please let go! GaAH!” He jumped and covered his mouth. Dammit…that’s embarrassing… “S-Sorry…” He mumbled.
Freddy looked up at Foxy with a tame look on its face. Then, Freddy, Bonnie and Chica looked at each other again. What were they planning now!?
Foxy adjusted its hand again, poking its hook into his hip a little deeper. Not expecting it, the security guard jumped and yelped again. “aAah-? Sohorry...” He reacted, biting his lip. He sensed that Foxy’s touches were not supposed to tickle…and yet here he was, unable to stop his reactions.
Freddy and Bonnie walked closer to the security guard. “OhnoNONO-” The security guard tensed up as the animatronics quickly puppy guarded him. “aAAAAH!” He jumped and wiggled around in surprise. “WAHAHAIT, WHAHAHAT?!” He reacted, looking down as the blue and brown fingers tweaked his sides and ribs. “HAhahahaha! Whahat ahare you do-DOHOHOIHIHING?!” He asked aloud.
Foxy’s hand and hook poked and prodded in the dips of his hips, making the security guard jolt and shake his head with laughter. The thing is, he expected them to kill him with either a hit to the head, or a stab to the back. He really did! These animatronics were perfectly capable of it, and more!
But TICKLE HIM!? He NEVER would’ve guessed that in a million years!
“Whahahat ihihis thihihis?!” He asked.
What had gotten into these animatronics?! Yes, he’d rather be tickled than killed any day! But…still, what made them change their mind? And…why could he hear children giggling nearby?!
“Helloooo?! Hehehelloohohohoo?!” He called, trying to look around for any children.
But he couldn’t see anything over these huge animatronics!
Bonnie’s fat fingers began to slowly rise up his ribcage while a little girl’s giggles began to fill the room. “He’s funny!” The little girl reacted.
“HELLOHOHOHOOO?!” The security guard called. “AHAHANYOHOHONE?!” He asked.
“Tickle his armpits!” the little girl's voice had said.
The security guard widened his eyes in horror. Excuse me, WHAT?! Who is that?! And HOW DID SHE KNOW?!
He stared up at Bonnie with widened eyes, and attempted to push the blue animatronic away. “B-Bonnie, I’m warning you. If my armpits are even touched, I…I may die.” The security guard warned.
Bonnie looked over at Freddy and tilted its head. Foxy looked down at the security guard, and looked up at Bonnie and Freddy. But then, Chica walked up and moved Bonnie and Freddy away! What was Chica gonna do to him?! Should he be scared? Or will things be okay? He didn’t know for sure.
Chica leaned over, and looked deeply into the security guard’s eyes for a moment. The security guard was thrown off by this. Why was the animatronic staring at him?! But then…Chica’s right, big hand went up and grabbed his right wrist. “W-What-” He tugged and pulled on his wrist. “What are you planning?” He asked, hoping and praying for some sort of reply.
The little girl’s laughs returned for a few moments, before his armpit was poked. “OhNOWAIT- GaHAA!” He jumped and squeezed his eyes shut, unable to stop his reactions.
His armpit was poked again, by presumably the same animatronic.
“HOLDOHON-” He reacted. “WhatdidIjuhuhustsahahay?!” He asked, laughing nervously.
…And then the finger slid down his armpit. “OhoGOHOHOD-!” He squealed and threw his head back with a laugh.
…And a slide up…
“NoNONONO-!” He wheezed and bursted out in fits of cackles.
…aaand a slide down.
“Plehehehease DOHOHOHON’T!” He wiggled and laughed hysterically.
The little boy’s laughter returned for a few moments. “He’s funny!” The boy admitted.
He opened his eyes and looked around through his laughter, still desperate to find out who that was.
“It’s a shame we have to kill him.” Another child’s voice had said.
The man widened his eyes in horror. OHGOD…The animatronics are still gonna kill him?!
“Hmmm…” Chica stopped tickling the security guard and tilted its head before turning to the other animatronics. “Maybe not…” the girl’s voice said.
The animatronics looked at Chica with surprise. The security guard closed his eyes and began to mentally pray to himself. Pleeeease let the animatronics change their minds…
Chica, Bonnie and Freddy walked back to give the security guard some space. He was still breathing somewhat heavily, still physically tired from the tickles he received. The security guard’s attention moved to the Freddy animatronic as it powered down. And…out revealed a child! Is…is this the kid that he’s been hearing?! The security guard widened his eyes and stared at the boy.
“H-Hi.” The security guard said somewhat awkwardly. “Hi there.”
The kid smiled a bit. “Hi.” The kid replied.
The security guard looked at the kid in the white shirt, and the white top hat. He looked adorable, to be honest. Innocent and sweet, especially when he’s smiling. He was already softening his expression just by looking at him.
Then, the boy looked over to the right and revealed another boy. But this time…he had a brown striped shirt on. The security guard appreciated being introduced to the children, but…he still had no idea if he was going to get out of here alive, or if they were going to witness his death.
The kid in the brown shirt began to narrow his eyes at him curiously. He walked closer to the security guard and looked them up and down, almost examining him in a way. The security guard looked at the kid in the white shirt, confused as to what the kid in the brown shirt was currently doing.
But then, the brown-shirt kid stopped his body inches from the security guard and smirked at him with some sort of twinkle in his eyes. The security guard recognized this look to be mischief. A child’s mischief at its finest. The security guard started to grow slightly nervous. Why is he so close to him? What was that grin for? What was the kid planning on doing to him!? Why was the kid planning anything?!
He looked down at his armpits, and then looked back up at the security guard. He reached his hand out, and poked his finger in the dip of the guard’s armpit. Naturally, the guard jolted and tensed up. “aAh-?!” He jumped.
The kid smirked a little wider as he dragged his finger down the armpit to his upper ribs.
The security guard could feel every part of his body jolting and struggling to get away, while slightly desperate giggles trickled out of his lungs. “Ahahahaha, c-cohohome ohohohon.” He reacted.
The kid giggled, revealing this to be the same child who was giggling while the animatronics were tickling him earlier. “They like you.” The kid admitted, looking at the other kids.
The security guard snickered and shook his head, struggling to handle the agonizingly light tickles. “Hehehehe- Thehehey dohohohoho?” He asked.
The kid nodded his head. “They like your laugh.” He told him, moving his fingers to his middle ribs. “They like your smile.” He added, scratching his 3rd and 4th rib. “They want you to live.” The kid explained.
The security guard felt like he was being toyed with. The tickles were driving him a little insane…but at the same time, he was thankful he was still being kept alive.
“Cahahahan Ihihihi?” He asked, looking down as the kid scratched his fingers on his lowest rib.
“Live?” The kid finished. “I don’t know.” He looked over at a room in the corner of the main area. “The bunny wouldn’t be happy with us if we let you go…” The boy admitted, slowing his fingers a little bit.
The security guard was still giggly, though it was a little more bearable for him. He began to pray even harder that the boys let him go. All he wanted was to be in the comfort of his home, with a cup of soup in his hand, staring at some sort of documentary on the Television.
The boy with the white walked up to the brown-shirt boy, and pushed him aside. “My turn.” He said, before skittering both his hands all over his armpits. “Kitchy kitchy koo!” The kid in the top hat declared.
The security guard threw his head back and let out a long fit of cackly laughter. “OHOHO NOHOHOHO! GAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA- AAAHAHAHAHA- P-PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE!” He shouted desperately. It sounded like he was absolutely dying at the hands of this child!
“You’re tickling him too rough.” The girl told the boy in the top hat. “You need to be gentle.” She moved his hands out of the way and tickled on his belly.
“Hehehehe! Hehehehehe- Ohohokahahay, ahaha lihihittle behehehetteheherr, buhuhuhuhut-” He said, letting out more giggles rather than hysterics.
The little girl smiled. “Like that.” She told him, stopping her fingers to let the top hat boy try.
“But that’s no fun. I’ve heard lots of giggles from him.” The boy complained, before dancing one hand on his armpit.
“Ohoho bohohoy- GaaAAHAHA!” He jumped, widened his eyes as his grin widened as well.
“I want him to laugh really hard…” The boy tickled the other armpit with his other hand. “...Like he was told the funniest joke in his life.” He admitted.
The moment his other armpit was touched and tickled, it was all over for him. He was a complete mess of cackles and laughter. “NAHAHAHAHAHA! AAHAHAHEHEHEHEE!” He laughed. “EEEEHEHEHEHEHEHE- EEEEEK! EEEHEHEEE! IHEEHEEHEE- IHI CAHAHAHAHAHAN’T!” He cackled. There was no way he could laugh harder than this. If this is what the kid wanted, he was certainly gonna get it.
“But he’s gonna pass out.” The girl warned.
“Isn’t that what the bunny wants?” The top hat boy asked.
“Well…” The boy in the brown shirt crossed his arms, just letting the other boy take over. “It would take a long time for him to pass out from laughter.” He reminded the boy.
“But…maybe we don’t have to make him pass out.” The boy in the top hat suggested. Whoever this top hat boy was, he was determined to not kill the guard.
“PLEHEHEHEASE IHIHIHIHI’M TOOHOOHOOHOO TIHIHICKLIHIHIHISH!” He begged.
“What do you suggest we do?” The boy in the brown shirt asked.
“I have a plan.” The top hat boy told them. “But we’ll only do it if the guard is on board.” He told him. “Will you let us save you? Nod your head yes, or shake your head no.” He told the guard.
He could not have nodded his head any faster. He was BEGGING to get out of here at this point…and he didn’t care how much tickling he had to endure! If it means getting out, then he’ll do it.
“Okay.” The top hat boy smiled as he dipped his fingers deeper into his armpits. “I will tickle you. I will tickle you really hard, that you get really tired. When your laugh stops, I’ll stop tickling. But when you stop, I want you to pretend you passed out.” The boy explained.
Gosh, forget pretending…He’d probably pass out right now if he could.
“Then we’ll carry you to the back…and let you go free there.” He told the guard.
The guard tried to let out a sigh of relief. But it more came out as a wheeze, than anything else. “F-Fihihihihine.” He said.
“Okay.” The top hat kid said. He nodded at the brown-shirt boy, smiling when he got a nod in response. He nodded at the girl, and smiled when she nodded back. He nodded at the rest of the kids, and smiled brightly when they nodded back. They were all in on it.
Top Hat boy continued his tickle attack for about 15-20 more minutes. In order to make this pass-out trick really work, he would have to make the security guard utterly exhausted, to the point of almost passing out. But he also had to keep up his rough tickles…because again, to make it realistic, the security guard had to sound like he was dying before ‘passing out’. So the kid dug deeper into his armpits, and tickled in other spots in order to REALLY make him scream. Though the security guard knew this was his ticket out, it was really difficult being tickled to the point of exhaustion. His body was jumpy and tense for a while…
But then…he reached a point where his body had gone completely limp…he stopped laughing altogether, and was just…silent. Only then, did the kid actually stop tickling him. Though he was supposed to pretend he was passed out, that was an unbelievably easy job for him at this stage. He could feel his eyes drooping and closing slowly. And it didn’t help that the animatronics were carrying him like a toddler. It made him feel…almost comfortable…warm…loved…
When the security guard woke up again, he gasped and got up onto his feet. Where was he?! In the street? Which street?! ANYONE?!...But getting out of the alley, he thankfully found a store that he recognized. With that in mind, he was able to figure out where he roughly had ended up. And with that knowledge in his mind and his wallet in his pocket, he took a taxi back to his home. Though the long tickle attack was a bit much, he was absolutely thankful to be alive…And he had those ghost children in the animatronics, to thank.

Final Bug Fact:
The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!
I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!
I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.
Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.

Clark is taking Kon and Jon out for a classic, super-style bonding flight. Just a quick jaunt around the US and back!
They don’t get far. Somewhere in Illinois airpace, they run across another family.
The three (a hulking man, a snarky teenage boy, and a cackling youngest girl, each a grayscale blur in the blue, blue sky) throw neon-lit beams of energy at one another, quips and insults flying almost as fast as they do. It looks like training. It looks like fun!
The boy of them looks like a younger version of the man. Exactly like, even. Clark is familiar with clones.
The youngest, a girl, looks like both of them, but not quite. Perhaps she will, age sharpening her childish features, but it’s hard to say. More likely, she’s the man’s daughter.
Interested, Clark introduces himself to Dan. He seems to be a hero in his own right, even if Superman’s yet to see him in action. And it’s not often Clark sees a family so like his own!

Prompt 261
“So is no one going to talk about the eldritch space child or…”
“I mean, do you want to get between a child and Batman? I think the only one who could even get close right now is Superman…”
“No you’re right, I think- oh my god the eldritch space child is playing with batman’s bat-ears and he’s not doing anything about it what the fuck I thought only Robins could get away with that-”

Core Gems
So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.
Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.
However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.
In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.
Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.
The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.
Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.
#Dpxdc#dcxdp#kizzer55555 ideas#Bruce thinks the necklace is magical. He’s technically not wrong.#When he gets home he immediately puts each gem in a glass container to examine them. For the longest time though nothing happens.#They all look like normal gems except for the main three of the piece. He can’t identify what kind of gem they are.#The gems are perfect spheres with various shades of blue (with hints of green and white) swirling around.#The colors almost look like they are moving in slow motion. Still. Nothing happens as he examines them and no strange events happen.#That is until one day he decided to take the gems to be examined by a professional and a villain attacked.#A piece of building was about to crush him when a wall of ice appeared as a shield over him. After that he took them back to the cave.#Bruce looks up thousands of documents about enchanted necklaces and artifacts but finds nothing. He even calls in favors from JLD.#Zatanna doesn’t recognize them but feels some kind of power coming off the gems however it doesn’t feel malevolent (at least for 2 of them)#(The last gem is neutral.) Also Constantine was unavailable (*cough* hiding from responsibilities *cough*)#The other bats get interested in the gems. Tim has a theory that they are some kind of protective charms. Damian agrees.#(Everyone is shocked Tim and Damian agree on something). So while Bruce is continuing his investigation the other bats decide to do some#‘Field testing’ and take the gems out. Consequently the gems end up saving their lives and they discover a few things they can do like make#The wearer invisible. Intangible. Create green barriers/constructs. Create ice. Vibrate when an enemy is coming. And much more.#The bats fashion them into new individual bracelets/necklaces and think they are the coolest thing. They have powered up protective charms!#The halfas just wish these kids would STOP PUTTING THEIR LIVES IN DANGER! What are they MORONS?!#Most of the ectoplasms they recover is used to protect the bats and nearby civilians.#(Dan also trolls people and is mostly protective his siblings though)#People notice the new power ups. A rougue gets his hands on a gem and tries to use it ONCE to attack something but the gems didn’t respond.#Then it froze the rough’s legs to the ground.#Much time later the gems are swapped between the bats and alternated and have just become a new item in their belt#(batman was not pleased but eventually got used to it and begrudgingly accepted that they were useful. Especially when they save his kids)#They come to a Justice league meeting and Constantine finally sees them.#His mouth drops in shock and he frantically asks where they got GHOST CORES?! And this is when the bats finally realise what they have.#And are horrified to realize EXACTLY what they are holding and that these ‘gems’ were technically ALIVE.#Meanwhile the three Halfas have been kinda chilling but also working their butts off to keep this family alive. It was a fulltime job.

Unforeseen side effect of the hostage shirt.
Thought about what would happen if the “get along” shirt situation continued and figured that Miguel would probably just go back to work with Miles stuck to him.

I'm in A Mood™ (stressed) so im going back to my roots of melting two character together into one person. So bruce wayne!danny fenton. Danny Fenton who, for eight years, grew up in a beautiful gothic manor with his mom and dad under the name "Bruce Wayne". Playing piano with his mother, running around the manor with his father.
Then when he's eight it's ripped away from him. There's blood on his hands and pearls pooling at his feet, and both his parents are dead in front of him.
And he gets shipped off to distant relatives "the Fentons" shortly after, Alfred close on his heels because someone needs to take care of him, someone that knows him. Bruce goes to the Fentons for the safety of anonymity. Gotham's press wants to sink its teeth into him.
Danny misses his city even if it took everything from him. There are shadows in his eyes and he's pale as a sheet even beside his distant cousins, and they change his name to "Danny Fenton' because nobody should know that their newest child was illustrious orphan Bruce Wayne.
They call him Bruce behind closed doors. Danny prefers it that way, he clings onto the name -- the one his parents gave him -- like a lifeline. He makes friends with Sam and Tucker. Tucker takes one look at the willowy, morbid little boy standing in the corner like a shade, ghosts in his eyes, and drags him out into the sunlight, and takes him over to Sam.
When Danny is twelve, he's still not over it -- and he's a little obsessed with the Fentons' research, with the morbid. He has books upon books on death, murder, detective work. Anything he can get his hands on. And stars. He loves stars.
Alfred owns the apartment next to them and comes over regularly. Danny clings to him.
When Danny is twelve, he's still quiet, meek, a shy little thing prone to being bullied. Freaky little Fenton with the night in his eyes and too-cold skin even before he put one foot in the grave. in a sleepover in his room with Sam and Tucker, he tells them the truth. They're his friends, he trusts them.
"My name is Bruce." he murmurs, voice quiet as the breeze, always quiet. he's staring at his star-covered sheets.
"Like Bruce Wayne?" Tucker asks, a joking tone in his voice.
Danny smiles a little, lamb-like with insecurity. "I am Bruce Wayne." And he takes them down to the lab, disrupting Maddie and Jack, to prove it. Sam tells them of her own wealth then shortly after. They start calling Danny "Bruce" in private too -- its trust. Thats what it is. It's trust.
Sam goes to media functions and comes back with aching feet and complaints on her tongue -- and Danny soaks it up all like a sponge, splayed across a beanbag chair with Tucker in her room. He's not envious of her, he used to go to events with his parents and they kept him safe from the ugly of Gotham's Elite. For the most part. He's had comments made at him, he doesn't miss them.
Alfred returns to the manor semi-regularly, Danny goes with him. he wanders the hallways and helps Alfred clean, the last thing either of them want is for their home to fall into disrepair. He brings Jazz with him next time, then Tucker, then Sam. They all help him clean, and he shows them his room. The one across from his parents', it feels strange.
When Danny dies when he's fourteen, the first adult he tells is Alfred. He and Jazz go over to his house more often than they stay in the Fentonworks building. At least at Alfred's, the food doesn't come to life. Alfred sits at the kitchen table and weeps when Danny tells him, Jazz is upstairs, and its just the two of them.
Danny's ghost form wears pearls around his wrist and the gloves look stained with some kind of black substance. He looks like a child who died in a lab accident, but he also looks like a child who has shadows dripping off his shoulders, curling at his feet, hanging from his eyes.
because amorphous blob batman has my heart always and danny/bruce will not escape it even in death even if that IS the only reason im giving him Mild BatBlob Vibes...so far
when they go to the manor, alfred helps danny make a pile of stones between Martha and Thomas' graves, nobody but the two of them (and sam and tucker) will know what it means. (not even bruce's children later down the line, not for a long, long time)
danny dives into ghost fighting on shaky feet and not half as witty as he once was in one world. he's skittish, skittering between blasts from shadow to shadow and clumsily making his way through each battle. but helping people lights a fire in him. he still has shadows dripping off his feet but there's a purpose in his eyes.
and god help him, he's going to help people.

Lost Relatives
Maddie Fenton is Iris West's sister, the two lost communication after Maddie focused on her inventions; Hoping to reconnect with her sister, Iris invites her to her wedding.
When the Fentons show up at the wedding, the only way Barry can describe them is...eccentric. He didn't expect his bride-to-be's family to be so quirky, though he didn't mind Iris's request, he hoped they could reconnect.
That was until he was near Danny Fenton and felt the Speedforce lean toward him. Almost as if it was calling out to him. Danny looked at Barry curiously but didn't comment on it. Barry wondered if there was a flaw in the Speedforce.
Danny had a bad feeling about the wedding ever since he saw Clockwork grinning like a maniac after he mentioned the event to him.
He clearly didn't expect to find the "criminals who keep altering space-time" that Clockwork kept complaining about. He wondered if he could feign ignorance until the end of the event.

For the ghostlights drabbles: “Say my name” with a favor being called in?
Duke had saved Phantom years ago, back when he was just out of high school and working to take down a branch of the government that was kidnapping and experimenting on people, targeting magic users and metas. Phantom had been working on his own to take them down, and they met in the middle, trashing a lab and freeing as many people as they could.
They had managed to shoot his back, knocking him down and making him bleed a glowing green. Phantom couldn’t move, protecting two kids with his body, and Duke couldn’t reach them in time before they were taken away by another swarm of agents.
He was able to go after them in time, free Phantom and the kids, and evacuated the victims before Phantom rained hell down on the facility.
At the end, standing in the background as they watched paramedics treat the victims and take them towards the nearest hospitals, Phantom had turned towards him and thanked him.
Or rather, he thanked the Signal and offered him a bracelet with a rounded orb of ice, glowing faintly in the dark. If you ever need me, he had said, Hold this, and call me name.
Phantom vanished once the last of the victims were transported to a safer location, and Duke hadn’t seen him since.
He’s kept up with news about Phantom as best he can, but from what he could tell, Phantom is based primarily in Amity Park, Illinois, and the town is fiercely protective of their hero. News rarely leaks out of there, and with them running on their own servers and independent internet, it was nearly impossible to get in from the outside.
Phantom remained a curious and distant figure in Duke’s life. He holds onto the bracelet still, guarding it carefully and sometimes running his fingers over the ice that never melts.
But he doesn’t call in that favor. He’s never to.
At least, not until now.
Sucking in a breath, Duke prepares himself and holds the orb of ice in the palm of his hand. He’s in civies, unable to hide his identity for this, and closes his eyes. “Phantom,” he says.
For a moment, nothing happens. Duke blinks his eyes open and frowns, mind already forming new plans to contact Phantom. Then the ice goes bitingly cold, almost painful, and the temperature in the room drops dramatically. The ice lifts up from his hand, floating in the air, then cracks open.
White-blue light spills out of it, growing brighter as it seems to swallow up the room entirely. Duke hurries to back up, an arm thrown up to protect his eyes. His breath mists out before him and he shivers as the sound of ice cracking fills the room.
And then, just as suddenly as it started, the light disappears and the cold fades away like a bad dream.
Slowly, Duke lowers his arm and looks up at Phantom, floating in the middle of his living room with a crown made of ice, engulfed in blue fire, hovers above his head. He looks older, more regal, holding his head high.
He regards Duke carefully for a minute, then tilts his head and says, “Signal?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Man, I’m so glad you came.”
“You… need help with something? You’re calling in your favor now, right?”
Duke nods. He understands Phantom’s confusion; being in the hero business means that favors like these tend to be used only during the most hopeless of times, when the world is close to ending, when the chances of getting out of a situation alive is close to impossible. It’s exactly the kind of thing Duke was expecting to call Phantom in for.
Not the kid sleeping on his couch.
“You’re a ghost, yeah?”
Phantom blinks at him. “Ghost king, now. Why?”
“Well…” Duke rubs the back of his neck, nervously. “I didn’t really know who else to call, and I can’t do this on my own since I’m not a ghost. But this kid got attached to me and won’t leave, so now I’m taking care of her and I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“I don’t know why you think I have any experience with kids but—”
“She’s a ghost.”
Phantom stops short. “Ah. I see.” He floats down until his feet touch the floor, and then he’s standing like any other person. “Where…?”
Duke looks past Phantom’s shoulder, and Phantom turns to follow his gaze. Chelsea, the ghost girl, looks to be around nine years old and is fast asleep on the couch, curled up under Duke’s softest blanket.
“Signal,” Phantom says quietly, “What, exactly, is the favor you need from me?”
“You can say no,” Duke starts. “I get that this is a lot. But I need help raising her. And since you’re a ghost, I figured you could help me learn about the ghostly side of things. You don’t have to raise her with me or anything! Just… I would appreciate any help you’re willing to give me.”
Phantom doesn’t say no. He doesn’t say anything. He just stares down at Chelsea, an unreadable expression on his face.
On the couch. Chelsea shifts in her sleep, brows furrowing as she makes a choked noise in the back of her throat.
Moving on autopilot after so many nights of this routine, Duke kneels next to the couch, fishing one of her hands from beneath the blanket. He gives it a few reassuring squeezes, keeping it a slow rhythm to pull her gently from her nightmare. She settles down in just a minute, brow smoothing out as she continues to sleep.
The silence grows and Duke is all too aware that his heart is the only one beating.
He doesn’t hear Phantom move. Doesn’t realize he’s right next to him until he sees Phantom’s hand reach out towards Chelsea. When Duke looks, Phantom is sitting on the floor next to Duke, looking at Chelsea with something soft and devastated in his eyes. His hand hovers about her head for a long moment, then slowly lowers to rest on her head.
The touch looks gently, barely putting any pressure on her head, but it’s enough to make Chelsea’s eyes snap open, suddenly wide awake. She stares at Phantom with wide eyes, then sits up and looks between him and Duke.
“Who are you?” she asks in a small voice that makes Duke want to stand against the world to keep her safe.
Phantom smiles. It’s casual and charming and makes him look like anyone else, as if he’s not a powerful king from a realm unreachable to humans. “Hi there,” he says, “I’m Danny. I’m a ghost like you. Signal called me and asked me to meet you.”
The Ghost King is good with kids. Who would have thought?
Chelsea looks at him for confirmation and only relaxes when he nods. “I’m Chelsea. What do you mean ghost? I’m not dead.”
Both he and Phantom tense, carefully keeping their expressions neutral. She hasn’t told him much at all, just that her parents were gone and forgot her and she got hurt, so she wanted to stay with ‘Mr. Signal’ because he’s a hero and heroes keep people safe and he was the only one who was Black like her. Duke hadn’t had the heart to say no, and began searching for her family, only to find that her parents had fled the state, and likely the country, after killing their only child through neglect and a dangerous environment.
It was then that he realized that her powers were not because she was a meta, but because she was ghost.
It still hurts to realize how young she is, how much of her life had been stolen from her in an instant. Duke hadn’t been brave enough to broach the topic with her, instead choosing to let her grow comfortable in his presence, get them both settled into a routine now that he was her primary guardian.
“I know it sounds scary,” Phantom says, “And you may not want to believe me, but it’s true. I’m sorry that you died so young, but that just means you get to hang out with me and other ghosts from now on!”
Chelsea crosses her arms over her chest and glares at him. “I am not dead,” she says.
“Cici, I’m sorry to say this, but you are,” Duke cuts in. “That’s why I called… Danny. You have new powers as a ghost, and he can help you get used to them.”
“I’m not dead!” she says again.
“Kid,” Phantom begins, but Chelsea shakes her head hard and hops off the couch.
“I’m not lying! Watch, I’ll prove it to you!” She closes her eyes and scrunches up her nose, concentrating. Her hands curl into tight fists by her sides, and the glow around her grows dim. Two faint, stuttering rings of light appear around her waist. They flicker and wobble in the air, as if weak and uncertain of their own existence, then split apart, one moving up towards her head while the other falls to her feet.
Beside him, Phantom sucks in a sharp breath, but Duke can’t turn to see what’s wrong when he’s trying to take in the sight of Chelsea suddenly full of vibrant color, looking more solid that he’s ever seen her, very much alive.
“See?” she says proudly, lifting her arms and doing a spin to show off her right she was. “I told you I’m not dead!”
“No, you’re not,” Phantom agrees, sounding shell-shocked. When Duke is finally able to look away from Chelsea to check on him, he looks awed. There’s the smallest smile on his face, just the slightest upturn of his lips, but it makes him look softer.
Duke turns his attention back to Chelsea before he can be caught staring. “Cici, can you come here for a second?”
She goes before he’s finished speaking, crossing the space between them in a single jump, then grins up at him. Her hair is a bit of a mess, the two buns he managed to get her hair into falling askew. He makes a note to visit the old aunties in the Narrows later to ask them to teach him how to do hair. For now, he holds out a hand and Chelsea drops an arm into it.
It seems to good to be true, having her be alive, but her pulse is steady and strong when he presses his thumb against the inside of her wrist.
“Well,” he says, leaning back and letting go of her arm. “You certainly proved us wrong.”
Chelsea doesn’t have much time to look smug before PHantom quietly says, “You’re like me.”
“What?”
“You’re like me,” he tells Chelsea. “A halfa.”
She tilts her head to one side. “What’s that?”
“Someone who is half human and half ghost. Both dead and alive.”
Duke blinks, taking in the words, then turns to face Phantom so quickly he’s worried he might give himself whiplash. Halfa, he said. Like me, he said.
And sure enough, two rings of light, bright and strong, appear around Phantom’s waist before splitting in half, moving over his entire body.
Gone is the Ghost King, all powerful and adorned in dark clothing with a crown of ice above his head. In his place is a guy who looks to be Duke’s age, eyes a deep blue and his black hair messy, feet set solidly on the floor. He looks completely normal, completely human, and no longer an impossibility.
“You still up for learning how to use all your new powers?” Phantom asks.
Chelsea grins. “Yeah!” And then, with a quick flick of her eyes going from Phantom to Duke that he almost misses, very innocently asks, “Are you going to stay with us then?”
“I… don’t know?” Phantom looks to Duke for an answer.
Already, Duke can see this going two ways. The correct way forward, the normal one, has Phantom popping in every so often, taking Chelsea out for a few hours to work on training her and her powers. It’s easy and routine and they can keep their boundaries uncrossed and be professional.
The other path is what Duke wants most that he shouldn’t impose onto the literal Ghost King. He could have Phantom living with them while he’s on Earth and out of Amity Park, having a place at the table, a section in the closet for his own clothes, a quietly domestic night together while Chelsea sleeps where they can get to know each other more, get to know each other outside of news reports and texts on a screen.
“You can stay with us if you want,” Duke offers, casually, “It might keep my apartment safe from her powers acting up on their own again.”
“Are you sure? I could always just fly in on the weekends or something.”
“I’d appreciate having you around. So you can help Cici.”
“If you don’t mind,” Phantom says, looking away. Like this, fully alive with a beating heart, it’s easy to see the blush steal away across his cheeks.
“I don’t.”
“I don’t either!” Chelsea pops in, looking far too gleeful by their awkward conversation.
Duke can’t help but laugh, feeling lighter than he had in ages. The relief of knowing that Chelsea is alive, for the most part at least, eases the guilt of thinking he had been too late to save her, that there was no chance she could have made it out and had a future, makes him feel weak. All the exhaustion of the past few weeks hits him all at once and he wants nothing more than to collapse in bed and sleep for twelve hours.
“Alright, squirt,” he says, reaching out to pat her head. “It’s late. We can talk more in the morning, so go to bed. In your actual bed this time, not on the couch.”
Chelsea stands up taller, ready to argue, but Duke gives her a Look™ and she quickly shuts her mouth, nods, and drags her feet back to her room (the former guestroom he can never give any of the other Waynes ever again, once they find out about her).
Sighing, Duke collapses onto the couch once he hears the door shut behind her. Phantom joins him after a few seconds, sitting tentatively on the edge of the couch. The cushion moves beneath his weight, another reminder of how solid and alive he is right not.
Duke wants to touch him, to reach out and feel for himself his pulse, the warmth of his body, his chest lifting with each breath.
He doesn’t move. He stays where he is, hands carefully still, and tries to think past the dizzying thoughts of she’s still alive, I’m not too late, he’s still here, he’s alive.
“Rough week?” Phantom asks, voice purposefully light.
“Something like that.”
“You should get some sleep too.”
“I don’t think I can. Not after everything. My mind’s too loud right now.”
Phantom shifts closer to him, hesitant in a way that Duke has never seen before in him, and asks, “Want me to stay with you until you mind quiets down some?”
“Yeah. I’d like that. Thanks, Phantom.”
“You know, if I’m going to be around so often as Chelsea’s halfa mentor, then you might as well call me Danny.”
Truth be told, Duke didn’t think that was his real name. He’s glad to know it’s not.
“Then call me Duke.”
“...Are you sure? You could still hide your identity from me.”
“Nah, I trust you. A name for a name, yeah?”
Danny smiles. “Duke,” he says, testing out the name, and it’s never sounded better than when it falls from Danny’s mouth.
“Danny,” Duke returns. He belatedly realizes that they’ve leaned towards each other, drawn together like gravity, stuck in each other’s orbit. It feels natural. It feels like this is where they’re meant to be.
Maybe he should be more cautious. They’ve only meant once before, after all. But he’s read all he could on Phantom and has seen how Amity Park loves him. He’s stressed and exhausted and trying to figure out how to look after a half-ghost child that’s already been dealt a bad hand in life. He should be keeping Phantom at a distance, watching over him carefully to ensure he isn’t a threat to Chelsea.
But Duke saw how he acted with Chelsea, so gentle and understanding and kind. That’s all he needed to see.
He may not know much about Danny, but he knows this: he is trustworthy.
Enough to entrust his identity to him.
Enough to entrust Chelsea to him.
It’s more than a favor; it’s a promise to walk this road together.
There’s no one he’d rather do this with.
“Thanks,” he says again, “For all of this. I know it’s a lot.”
Danny shrugs. “I don’t mind. Really. It’s nice to know there’s another halfa out there, no matter how she came to be one. Makes things feel less lonely.”
“Will you tell me more about halfas?”
“Later. Once you get some proper rest. We’ve got time, haven’t we?”
“We do,” Duke agrees, affection settling warm in his chest. “We’ve got plenty of time.”
Learning how to control her new powers won’t be easy for Chelsea. Learning how to take care of her won’t be easy. Learning how to do things together, as Duke and Danny rather than the Signal and Phantom, won’t be easy. But Duke knows with a certainty he feels in his bones that they’re going to be fine.
So long as they’ve got each other, they’ll be fine.

Prompt 74
When a new black-haired blue-eyed person appeared in the manor, one could easily be forgiven for thinking that Bruce’s adoption problem had struck again. So color many a batkid surprised that no, this kid isn’t a new sibling, no he didn’t get grabbed from the street, and actually he’s here for Alfred. Apparently Alfred never found it important to mentioned that he has a husband- that the kid kind of implies isn’t human what with the casual way he says he himself is half human- and that this kid is apparently their child. For once it’s Bruce’s turn to come home to a surprise sibling.
Danny on the other hand just learned that his Clockpa has a semi-mortal partner who has offered to take him in, (in another dimension even! And there’s aliens!!) while the ancient takes care of some stuff at home. And yeah it’s in a rich-manor but Sam has proved that not all rich people are evil, and based off of Mr Pennyworth’s stories the Waynes weren’t bad either. Though based off of the others’ reactions perhaps he should wait to mention that there wasn’t one new family member but three…

i know we all love our perfectly evil Ghost Investigation Ward, but i was rewatching the second Men in Black movie with my dad a while ago and I couldn’t help but feel like an AU in which the Guys in White’s motivations and morality more closely resembled their namesake could be really interesting … i’d love to see a fic in which danny works alongside the ghost police/border patrol/detective squad instead of being kidnapped and tortured by them

Immortal Danny meets his Families Reincarnations after years
So, Immortal Danny had to suffer through the deaths of his friends and family. For some reason, they never became Ghosts in the Zone, but he has kept looking for them in the Zone for centuries.
Then, one day, Clockwork come to him and explains that his Friends have all been Reincarnated. Due to them having died peaceful deaths, there weren't enough emotions to be turned into Ghosts, instead their souls were Reincarnated due to the amount of Ectoplasm in their bodies.
Danny goes to the Universe where they were Reincarnated, and finds that they all ended up reincarnating in a similar time-frame and location, and all ended up meeting eachother again.
His family and friends Reincarnated as the Bat Family
Bruce is actually the reincarnation of Jack Fenton, and while he is still a much better driver than before, Alfred prefers life thank you very much. He uses his Tech Know-How to build all his Bat-Gear. Hall also freakishly strong, and he isn't a Meta, so he has always been a little confused about that. His lingering guilt at being a bad dad in his past life leads him to be as great a dad as he can in this one.
Maddie Fenton is now Selena Kyle, using her natural athletic expertise and genius level technical know-how to steal artifacts from museums better than her canon counterpart ever could. She has always felt a connection to Batman for some reason, and flirted constantly.
Jazz became Barbra Gordan, and she is just as much a psychologist in this life as the last, but she uses it for Crime solving instead. I'm just going to say that she was officially adopted without Comissioner Gordans knowledge. He is not happy when he finds out that his daughter is legally shared by him and bruce.
Sam became Cassandra Cain, who for some reason has new Plant Powers reminiscent of Poison Ivy. Her soul is still technically that of the "Daughter of Undergrowth", so she gets her plant powers even in death. She now considers Poison Ivy her new sister for some reason. She is also still a Vegan.
Tucker is now Duke Thomas, who is confused as to why he seemingly has Egyptian Magic alongside his own Meta Abilities all of a sudden. He also has a talent for Coding and Hacking that could rival every other member of their family.
Tim used to be Wes, who befriended Danny after a while in his old life. He uses his smarts to figure out Batman is Bruce Wayne, and becomes the second Robin.
Dick was Dash, who mellowed out and became a good friend to Danny a while after the end of the series. In his new life, he is much kinder to everybody around him, as a remnant of his guilt for being so mean in his past life. It's alsowwhy he became a Cop.
Jason is undecided. Maybe he is still a friend to Danny, but he met him when he died and Danny found him while wandering. He considered him a little brother before he was resurrected and lost his memories. Or maybe he was another of Danny's friends, idk.
Alfred used to be Mr Lancer, and he has always had a weird talent for dealing with chaotic and freakishly strong teenagers. He also has a Love for helping children down on their luck.
Steph could have been Star, who rekindled her friendship with Danny after a few years as well. I honestly just like the idea of Danny's bullies becoming his friends after getting their life together.
I don't know about many of the others
This could then go 2 ways
Option 1:
When Danny discovers that his Family has all Reincarnated, he decides to Reincarnate as well to be with them again. With the help of Clockwork, he becomes Damian Al Ghul, born only a little time after his other family and friends.
He makes it so that he will slowly regain his memories and powers over his lifetime until he hits the age of 14, the age he was when he died.
The other Batfamily Members are confused, because Damian all of a sudden called a Family Meeting, and began telling them a story about how they were all the reincarnations of the mortal friends and family of the Ghost King. And that he is the Ghost King as well.
And it makes sense for some reason, they have all had vivid dreams of past lives, or skills and abilities that they don't remember picking up.
They slowly accept his story and the story continues from there.
Option 2:
Danny just goes directly to them after figuring it out, and the Batclan is suddenly visited by the God King of the Afterlife shouting about how he finally found his family.
Danny is just happy to be there, while the others are looking at bruce like "Oh my god, his Adoption Addiction has gotten so strong that the souls of the dead are being adopted by him"
And Danny is meeting his new brother Damian.
Or, Bonus Option
Danny goes to meet with them, then Damian walks in and pulls him aside. Tells him to ask for Clockwork to Reincarnate him, and pushes him through a portal.
A combination where Danny meets them, and then after he meets them goes back in time and Reincarnates himself as Damian.
