What if, instead of the Sorcerers' Society being just a small organization with a headquarters, it was instead a hidden city or capital where not only could sorcerers go to for assistance and to get their licenses, but could safely live and learn without having to put so much effort into hiding their magic from general human public? (Something similar to Witch Hat Atelier perhaps)

A hidden away capital with houses and apartments and magical shops selling everything a sorcerer would ever need. Where they can safely converse on the street and network and apprentices can talk to each other and swap tales of their lessons and masters.

Out in the expanse of the human world, it's hard to come by each other so having a place to live like that would be great.

But also it would make Solomon getting chased out by a dragon so much funnier (or sadder) since he and the mystery apprentice would have been the ones to found the Sorcerers' Society in the first place.

He would probably own his own house there and come back there whenever there was a meeting he had to attend or some urgent matter to discuss. Solomon wouldn't stay there longer than he usually had to and his property is usually empty.

But when sorcerers usually take in an apprentice, that apprentice lives with their master in order to make the most of learning opportunities and a lot of them tend to move back to the Sorcerers' Society for convenience.

If Solomon was able to convince MC to live with him for "educational purposes" completely separate from the brothers and Devildom, who's to say he wouldn't give living amongst his peers an honest try once more?

shoutout to taigen for being the most expressive character in the entire show.

you will never not know whatever the hell he is feeling or thinking at the moment because he will literally tell you (either very earnestly like when he traumadumps to mizu or very sarcastically which is the other 99% of the time he talks to mizu) or you will see it plain as day on his face.

this is the textbook definition of a man wearing his heart on his sleeve. look in the dictionary for what a "simple man" means and you will find taigen's face there.

like once you cut through the massive ego and pompousness he uses to mask his own insecurities and traumas, he is literally just some guy. he's not evil or stupid. not super kind or super smart either. an asshole but not the worst there is. he's incredibly skilled but he's not the strongest ever or even the most skilled. he is literally! just a guy!

y'all can hate him all you want but let's be real, taigen is actually the most relatable character out of everyone. like this man is POOR, he is PATHETIC, he is COMPLAINING ALL THE TIME, and most of all he is OBSESSED WITH MIZU. if that shit ain't relatable idk what is.

I actually love the characterization that while Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan truly do love each other very much and end up having a successful working partnership, they are SUCH different people, and actually, really find each other fucking annoying when you get right down to it, while still caring deeply about each other. Qui-Gon is having a stratosphere-level theoretical philosophical conversation in his head while Obi-Wan is so present and practical and funny, and then Qui-Gon's reply when he snaps out of it is like "....stay in the moment, Obi-Wan." I think about two scenes I love in Phantom Menace where the film is establishing Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's dynamic. Obi-Wan's great moment after the, uh, first attempt on their lives "you were right about one thing, Master - the negotiations were short" which is like, actually a genuinely funny observation? Qui-Gon's reaction to this? Nonexistent. We do not get a shot of Qui-Gon's expression, not even an off-camera Liam Neeson dry reluctant chuckle. NOTHING. Cut scene. Sure, this could be the fault of the scene transition, but I don't think anyone watching the scene was under the impression that Qui-Gon bellylaughed and said "good one, Padawan!" The mood is much more of Qui-Gon shaking his head, not dignifying the line with a response.

The other is Qui-Gon's "there's always a bigger fish" line after they've nearly died in another horrific way under the Naboo planet core, a scene that gives me a powerful new kind of combination of fatal levels of thalassophobia-claustrophobia. It could have easily been a "business on Cato Neimoidia" callback reference to some offscreen history together, but no. Qui-Gon just says it, incomprehensibly, while Obi-Wan scowls silently at the controls. And yet, Qui-Gon sounds contentedly amused. It's so fucking hilarious to me. He said that line for the benefit of one person in that ship: him, and he likes it.

They don't get each other's jokes, and yet, I think it's telling that they're both still making them after what, 12 years of Master Padawan partnership. They are both constantly thinking like “what are you TALKING about?” about the other one's core qualities. They both think their miscommunications are the other’s fault. It's incredibly good characterization to me, and it makes them so realistic.

He considered it one of his greatest accomplishments noting that the Doctor and his Photographer were so quickly surpassing his wildest hopes for them.

After their trial by fire in the warehouse bathroom Adam and Lawrence find themselves partnered together by their former captor John Kramer. Lawrence considered it luck that John had even allowed Adam to be retrieved from the bathroom in the first place. Adam knew better though. John Kramer had never accounted for Adam surviving his game in the first place. And if it weren’t for the fact that Lawrence would not let Adam’s fate go, or that Hoffman refused to let John betray the rules that he had set for Adam’s game, well - Adam knew that he would have been destined to become nothing so much as a pile of bones in that bathroom, if not for fate’s intervention.

However:

Adam and Lawrence both did survive their game and the experience had linked them incontrovertibly - had turned them from two people who never would have pinged each others radar to two halves of a whole. Something that had been tempered into a weapon that was made to last. Made to outlast, in fact, John Kramer’s very long shadow.

I.e. Adam and Lawrence are not so secretly John’s favorites, and Hoffman can see which way the wind is blowing. He is not pulling an Amanda and trying to kill Dr. Lawrence’s partner anytime soon. (Amanda’s said she’s sorry, why wont Larry let it go?!)

…Yes, I do have plans to turn this into an actual story, but for now have this.

A random headcanon about Crowley I have is that he grew up COUNTRY country, or the closest equivalent that they would have in that time, I guess. Like, he grew up on a farm in the middle of the countryside, and his best friends growing up were chickens sorta country, lol

That, combined with Halts extravagance and the fact that Irish insults are just hilarious, means that whenever Gilan is being particularly dumb the entire corps gets treated to some of the best insults they have ever heard

Also, Crowley doesn't really have a country accent typically, but sometimes, when he's ranting about something, he does. When both Crowley and Halt have accents, you know some crap's boutta go down
