With mindfulness, the ego remains in place. With meditation, you witness the mind that witnesses the phenomenon. Meditation goes beyond mindfulness and allows you to move beyond the ego itself.
What is Mindfulness? What is Meditation? Mindfulness, as the word is commonly used today, is awareness of what is happening to you in your outer environment. For example, attentively picking up your cup, mindfully taking a sip, with awareness and concentration.
In contrast, meditation is what you are aware of inside yourself. When one stands back from the sensory data (of mindfulness) and goes “inside” (in meditation) it is possible to see how one experiences what one is aware of.
To be aware of “the thing that is aware” is meditation.
Meditation also gives us better contact with spaciousness and unity. With meditation one meets the fears of abandonment and destruction, by looking inside to see how the ego works. We see that the ego works so hard to control the game of “me”.

Day 2: HANOI – DUONG LAM VILLAGE – MEDITATION COURSE – NORTHERN QUINTESSENCE SHOW (B, L)
Depart for Duong Lam ancient village (60km from Hanoi center) to trace back the origin of Vietnam’s culture and Vietnamese traditions and a great chance to explore the special architecture through its surviving laterite brick ancient houses. Laterite and mud, the two materials that is abundant in the area, on house walls, gates, wells, temple walls, and so forth. Walking around village to chat with locals to learn more about their lifestyle as well as gain an insight into Vietnamese countryside. See centuries-old homes and the well-preserved Mia Pagoda.
In the afternoon, join our meditation course and discover the path to inner peace and true happiness. Day 3: HANOI – FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B)
Full-day private city tour. Hanoi, the post-colonial capital city, boasts a unique blend of Asian charm with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, serene lakes, pagodas, and temples. This comprehensive tour will take you to the most intriguing sights of Hanoi, starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda.
Next, we’ll visit the scenic Westlake and the Tran Quoc Pagoda, followed by a trip to Van Mieu or the Temple of Literature, an ancient site dating back to 1070, dedicated to the veneration of Confucius. Our journey continues with a visit to the infamous Hoa Lo Prison, historically referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton” by prisoners of war during the Vietnam War.
We’ll then explore the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake, known as the Lake of the Restored Sword. To experience the essence of Hanoi’s bustling life, we’ll take a cyclo tour through the captivating Old Quarter, where you’ll find a myriad of specialty shops selling silk clothing, lacquerware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo crafts, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects, and much more.
Day 4: HANOI - HA LONG (B, L, D)
Overland to Ha Long Bay, which has been twice awarded the title of World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee in 1994 and 2000. Upon arrival, we’ll check-in, enjoy a welcome drink, and receive a cruise briefing. Afterward, we’ll have lunch while cruising to explore the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, one of Vietnam’s most wondrous and scenic sights. Prepare to be amazed by the picturesque scenery, with over 3,000 limestone islets emerging magnificently from the clear and emerald waters. The bay is adorned with hundreds of peerless karst formations, beautiful grottoes, and caves.
During our journey, we will anchor at a secluded cove, inviting you to take a leisurely swim or hike up a hill for a spectacular overview of the bay. Overnight accommodation on board.
Day 5: HA LONG– NINH BINH (B, Brunch)
Wake up on the bay to the soothing sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have the opportunity to witness the stunning sunrise over the bay while enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck. After breakfast, we will visit a beautiful limestone grotto, followed by a leisurely walk back to the boat to capture a final glimpse of Halong Bay as we cruise back to the dock.
In the afternoon, we will depart from Ha Long and make our way to the Trang An landscape complex, a site recognized as a world mixed heritage by UNESCO in 2014. Overnight stay in Ninh Binh.
Day 6: TRANG AN ECOTOURISM COMPLEX - HANOI (B)
In the morning, embark on a boat journey to explore a captivating and untamed cave complex including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou. Witness the enchanting landscapes of mountains and rivers resembling Ha Long Bay in the picturesque region of Ninh Binh. Afterwards, return to Hanoi and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 7: HANOI – DEPARTURE (B)
You have some free time before we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of our services.

Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a meditation session that was focused on healing. The session was led by a trained meditation teacher who had a background in healing and energy work. The experience was truly transformative, and I would like to share some of the insights that I gained from the session.
The first thing that I noticed was the setting. The meditation was held in a quiet and peaceful room with soft lighting and calming music. The teacher began by guiding us through a series of breathing exercises that helped us to relax and let go of any tension or stress that we were carrying.
As we continued to breathe deeply, the teacher led us through a guided visualization. We were asked to imagine a warm and healing light entering our bodies, flowing through our cells and tissues, and healing any areas that needed attention. This visualization helped me to focus on the areas of my body that needed healing, and it also helped me to feel a sense of peace and relaxation.
The teacher then encouraged us to focus on our emotions. We were asked to bring to mind any emotions that we were struggling with, such as anxiety, sadness, or anger. We were then guided through a process of acknowledging these emotions, allowing ourselves to feel them, and then releasing them. This was a powerful process that helped me to let go of some of the emotional baggage that I had been carrying around.
The meditation session ended with a few minutes of silent meditation. During this time, I felt a sense of stillness and calm that I had not experienced in a long time. I felt deeply relaxed and at peace.
After the session, I spoke with the teacher about the healing aspect of meditation. She explained that meditation can be a powerful tool for healing because it helps us to connect with our bodies and our emotions. When we are able to connect with ourselves in this way, we can begin to release the negative emotions and physical tension that are holding us back from healing.
Overall, my experience with meditation and healing was truly transformative. I learned that meditation can be a powerful tool for healing both physically and emotionally, and that it is something that everyone can benefit from. Whether you are struggling with physical pain, emotional distress, or simply want to improve your overall well-being, meditation can help you to connect with your inner self and begin the healing process.
