Highlighting the October 3319 Smaller Gateways.

"These events are getting closer and closer" I muttered as the information of the smaller Gateways Climb was posted. Looking at the datestamp it was the 4th so far in october, but hey, might be room for a fifth yet. I remembered the old times when you could have long climbs, sometimes so long no medalceremony occured some months. I joined up, but had to leave for Yomi Reefs to take care of some unfinished business. When I came back at t-25 minutes my formation had been pushed out in the plains. Taking advantage of some overweight formations on the foothills I advanced to the middle foothills. Fifteen minutes to scramble and opponents were intimidating. Top ten had many of my personal nemesises, Himmelhan, Beagle, Mainer, Harding and Kilotone. And of course Lachanche. At the moment he seemed asleep, and if we fought quietly perhaps he wouldnt wake up? At scramble Beagle held top, Having much more superhatorades than I could use I advanced, and after some ineffectual tries I pushed him down. Of course he retook it, and the fighting got fierce on the slopes and the top. It seemed C Mainer, Beagle and me was the ones to get to the top most often, and Lachance still slept. At the 41 minute mark I had to find a new super, and while I was distracted KiloTone pushed me down. The light flashed before I could attempt to climb higher, but top foothill and a Bronze is nothing to sneeze at. Those who held top positions and recieved Gold, Fame, Nephilax and invitations to harder climbs in upcoming events this time were:

Total participants: 363, Total Medals: 169 (of 216 possible)

It seems to me these limited events create a much opener field than the unlimited ones. Three Golds decided last minute, three more during the last five, and only three held during the whole scramble.

Fusion took top two Golds and were only clan to get more than one. Three players; Fabio Favaro, Michael Beagle and Duncan Cecil Goetz got their second Gold in a row.

Quite a good showup for most of the divisions, but in div 12 even a Silver went unclaimed this time. Are players unaware of the KOTM?

Having different timezones, and events coming hard on the heels on each other leaves a poor reporter little time to find intervees. Security measures makes it harder. Winners who take contact soon after winning is a pipedream, but I can hope? Anyway, no interview this time either.

Upcoming event: 20tons Here is where you go to your base and restore your twenty ton formation. What, you havent saved the specialist formations? In that case you have to 1)remove the mechs from current formation, (hopefully after saving it) and 2)load in mechs (in this case) of no more than twenty tons. Then 3) putting in equipment, and finally 4) adding weapons. Might I suggest 5) saving the formation and renaming it as 20ton?
