Four lab doodles so far, I’ve got more but tbh I kinda wanna wait to scan the rest in since they always get squished somehow in my scrubs (๑ᵕ⌓ᵕ̤) the first two are from week 2 and the bottom two are from week 4 so daily doodlin’ is certainly working

I was honestly pretty worried that my art would tank in frequency since I’m working full time again, but since I doodle in between samples I think I sketch even more?? It’s great! I’m completing a character or scene sketch a day so that’s fun! Had a few so far that would look pretty cool as prints i think. 👀

There’s a Lambros + Ratchet scene I did earlier this week when we literally had nothing coming in but that got big squished, so I defs need to scan that in. Weekends are still for working on big paintings and digital stuff so i gotta make sure i stay on track lol.

Ishida has conditions including hemophilia, asthma, POTS, low blood sugar, chronic fatigue syndrome, anemia, and poor circulation.

Ishida has a detached 'Ki', or soul. His soul is not bound to his body properly. This makes it so he is mostly unaffected by mystic spells, but is also connected to why he is so ill and disconnected from his body. Mystic magic does not work to improve his health because it tries to heal him through his Ki, which doesn't work. Donnie's medical practices only focus on his body, which make them more effective.

Donnie uses extreme medical practice to help Ishida, making Ishida much more energetic, strong, confident, and healthy. If Ishida didn't have his meds, he'd have about a month before he'd be right back where he started.

Ishida feels a strong connection to fire, ash, and dragons.

Ishida will burn things like paper, old clothes, or bites of his food and pray over the ash. He doesn't burn pictures with faces, as he finds it disrespectful.

Ishida will doodle dragons often and finds great value in art of them. He gets very starstruck around yokai that look like dragons too.

His beliefs about Usagi's death -

He believed Usagi was dead, and felt heavy guilt over it. He wished he had been healthier/stronger, to be able to protect his brothers.

Ishida was often helping comfort Kenichi, and he tended to 'feed into' Kenichi's idea that Usagi was still alive.

His dynamic with Donnie -

Ishida considers Donnie his best (non-blood related) friend.

He trusts Donnie with his life, and listens to whatever Donnie says. Donnie has a say in everything Ishida does, including what he eats and how he spends his time.

Ishida may occasionally call Donnie out for his bad behavior though, telling him if he's being an asshole or going too far. Donnie doesn't really care what Ishida has to say.

Ishida allows Donnie to run experiments on him, to test his pain tolerance and allow Donnie to gather data.

Ishida enjoys snuggling with Donnie, because of the vibrations from when Donnie churrs.

Ishida loves to spend time in Donnie's lab, and often goes in there to draw, work out, or just generally hang.

adhd kutner

cannot ever be completely still and thus is always fidgeting with something in his hands (see: stethoscope in canon, but also: pens, stress balls, hair ties, rubber bands, expo marker, anything he can find in the outer office while they’re doing a ddx)

bad habit of interrupting people to finish their sentences for them or to say what he needs to say before he forgets it. if you’re talking to him, his brain is already three steps ahead of whatever you’re saying. he tries really hard to not interrupt during ddxes and when talking to patients and sometimes it takes a lot of energy

can’t use those squishy stress balls because he fidgets so much that it’ll break open in less than an hour. has definitely accidentally broken one while working in the diagnostics outer office and gotten the water inside all over paperwork foreman was doing (and house thought it was hilarious)

i bet adhd medication was his savior in med school. needed it to help him function in classes/be able to pay proper attention

today at work we had two huge and very wimpy dobermen and one VERY cute lab puppy and also one very beautiful and long golden retriever and a very loud golden lab and some kind of wretched shar pei bulldog mix whose owner carries her around like a briefcase by the harness because her brain is degenerating and she can't walk and who frankly should have been in the ground weeks ago but is unfortunately still kicking and one wildly obese bulldog (?) who literally sounded like a pig because he couldn't breathe and one very soft chihuahua and an american akita who was a great breed ambassador by having fluffy ears and not biting anyone and also someone's service doodle (?) who unfortunately has been in like 5 times since i got the job for lots of testing and meds because she has (i think) addisons disease. there's no point to this post i'm just telling you guys about all the dogs i met today. and none of them shat on me or in their kennels today which was really great for me personally.

A lot of people have been asking about the OCs in this post. So I made an obligatory doodle of the main characters and am doing a quick explanation in this post.

These are the main characters from my fairly new OC story which is currently fondly under the placeholder name #necromancers and biohazards. Anyways it's an urban fantasy story with many many different kinds of people (people???? beings???). The protagonists are a group of definitely not sane morally gray idiotic housemates who are fully under govt. scrutiny because two of them were accused of having created a deadly bioengineered plague of sorts that's been killing everyone.

Alright, quick run down of the characters!

First off! Enxo (They/Them) Enxo is a no good, morally off necromancer who got turned into a vampire against their will. They sell "life insurance" of a sort by saying they'll resurrect someone if they die. Enxo is a devil may care biochemist as well and has a strangely large amount of charisma. They were accused of creating the bioengineered disease along with their best friend Qing.

Secondly, Livie (She/Her). Livie used to be a government worker but then was falsely accused of a crime and was kicked out and ostracized. She lost her home and no one who she used to know wants to associate with her. Ren picked her off the streets and brought her over. And since everyone in the house minded their own business and treated her fairly well, she stayed. She's a goodie two shoes and tries to keep her housemates out of obvious illegal nonsense.

Thirdly, Monhir (They/Them). Monhir is an undead abomination. They died(?) after contracting the bioengineered plague, but because of what they were before they died, they didn't exactly die and instead became...that. They're weird, they're a hazard and they've got colorful personality. Monhir drinks all the vanilla essence in the fridge, sleeps under other people's beds and crab walks(?) around the house.

Fourth, Qing (He/Him). Qing is Enxo's best friend, partner in crime, enabler and also their voice of reason. Qing is probably the only reason Enxo is even alive right now. With a good head on his shoulders and much nerdiness in the way of biotechnology, he makes sure everyone knows when to hit the accelerator and also the breaks. He also thinks Enxo is an idiot.

Fifth, Ren (They/Them). Ren is a bit crazy. Ren loves gossip and sparkles. They work at a party store for most of their day, but then spends the rest of their time listening to gossip and gathering information. This has led to them being one of the most valuable information assets in the country. Oh yeah they also like fuzzy slippers and adopt people way too frequently. They were stopped from bringing people home permanently after Livie. This doesn't mean they don't bring people over for dinner.

Sixth, Ytal (She/Her). Ytal is a mercenary and also an assassin if she's paid enough (Livie doesn't know this). She's never allowed to do anything around the house because of the brute force she's capable of. She's broken too many lightbulbs. She's also cursed and so will sometimes just throw up blood and pass out. Enxo has her on several different meds to manage this though and she pays them a hefty amount by acquiring random body parts for experimentation (Livie once again does not know this).

And lastly, Zayn (He/Him). Zayn is a bit of a mystery. None of his housemates know about who he used to be before he started living with them. (To be honest, they could all find out but none of them care to look into it). Zayn used to be a popular celebrity who would smuggle people in and out of countries so that they could find refuge in other countries away from wars and more. However, several countries found out about this so he changed his identity and is now living a quiet and uncomplicated life (aside from the random life threatening explosion he faces for rooming right next to Qing and Enxo's lab).

The story kinda focuses on the bioengineered disease and everything surrounding it. Enxo is technically the main character which I love them for. They're fantastic. A lot of this story is still under development but yeah. That's all. Will probably post more stuff of them at some point! Thanks for tuning in.

Forensics kinda fell into my lap ngl but it’s very rewarding!!! there r plenty of dif fields to get into, the enviro will change depending on ur level of study and what u wanna do.

im not legally allowed to talk abt what I do in detail I’m sorry!!! but I can share that I help w research on human decomp + trauma. my particular position requires being outside and lab experience, an anatomy bg, etc. I would take some anatomy classes (with lab) and some osteology courses if they offer it :3 and anthro classes!! even just an introductory one, u rly need to care about people in this field and you’ll unfortunately find ppl who r insensitive in ur bio/med courses because they view the cadaver in front of them as flesh and not soul. It can make the experience rly depressing and it’s important to remember these were like, people.

I cleaned up the map for the subgate au base and did little doodles of the drop-off under the moon pool and a diagram of how the overhead observatories work. Since they're 16 meters down from the surface, i figured ladders would be impractical, and a friend pointed out a lift would work and they ARE surrounded by water. Basically i'm saying Tav jury rigged a hydraulic lift to connect multipurpose rooms and observatories. Yes, the pumps are huge and i have not drawn them to scale. Yes Tav has claim on the cat poster. Yes Gale is jealous.

They only have one window in their room, with a desk in front of it so they might stare out over the creepvines and ponder machines. They also have a wall planter and two plants on either side of the bulkhead leading out into the hall, as well as a locker for personal items.

The storage and ready room is dominated by labelled lockers and fabricators, as well as spaces for everyone's wetsuits. Shadowheart's medbay/lab has an operation bay [a bench next to a bed, for when stiffness is needed], an isolation tank for studying fish, work tables, med kit fabricators, and water filtration. Largely because she demanded access to the most clean water for cleaning things and no one wanted to argue. The Farm/Alien Containment room is just that-- a bunch of planters and a slew of Peepers being bred for food. The enzyme they're accidentally cultivating in there is about the only reason they stave off the kharaa as long as they do.

The comms room is literally just a radio, a desk, and scanner data of the planet [for mapping purposes] on screens. They always have at least one person in comms when there are people out on excursions. This is often Gale, just so he doesn't have to look down. Which is also why he's often the only one left when Astarion gets into his Shenanigans.

Im 30.

I've turned 30 last month but was super busy with school that I didn't have the time to process it.

Having this free time this week b4 I plan out what I wanna do in July, I think im overwhelmed with options.

Reading this BL in the past hour doesn't help with my emotions. They make them go haywire. God, boys are cute 😭

My timing is terrible when it comes to dating. I think it was 2 or 3 years ago now that I read a BL manga called Love Doctor that got me into a spiral of emotions + an overwhelming longing for a boyfriend. I did try. He was alright. I could do better. Then school started.

This feels selfish of me wanting a boyfriend just to recreate fluffy yaoi moments. That's a delusional way of thinking, Perla! *whines*

From experience, I do have ideas:

Step 1: Go to a place of frequent visits (such as internet, Tumblr, school, computer lab, library, lobby, coffee place, restaurant, workplace???)

Step 2: Do my doodle thing until someone walks up to you + compliments them

Step 3: intros

Step 4: talk about work/hobbies

Step 5: Repeat steps 1 - 4

Step 6: Exchange contact info once u get comfortable/confident, when your face lights up when the other person arrives, or can't stop thinking about them.

... + idk. I never gotten as far as that 😅 I remember one piece of advice I was told that I struggle with, + suck at: follow-up/following up. Why does it have to take so much energy 😫

I feel troubled. I know that I don't really like to give, just take. Eventually, I will have to learn to give more often. I constantly think to myself that I'm gonna give them something in return for what they've given me. In the end, I can never physically execute those thoughts, and I end up wallowing in bed in guilt.

Either:

- feels the same way + we can both agree not to spend on each other but for ourselves.

I do have an ideal routine that worked out so perfectly when I had an internship in 2020:

I did get the right idea of starting animation work at 8 am. After my sister's wedding, I started taking my meds earlier at 5:20 in the morning. Huh, the 9pm hour is still an accurate time for chilling. I have been falling asleep earlier than usual nowadays, b4 11pm.

- Kickboxing

- School stuff

- Improving on some animations, need a specific list for that

- Haircut

Those are my main points. There's bound to be more little things in between that may come along the way. Like, my psychiatrist appointment tomorrow morning, the local annual 4th of July Parade, + Traverse City, Michigan in August (more details when the date draws near).

Do you think Nebula and Rocket used to fix each other up after fights during the time skip? Since there was only the two of them and both were extremely depressed I imagine they both tended to be pretty reckless.

I've been turning this ask over in my mind the last few days trying to think of some examples of them taking care of each other. Again, I was hoping I'd have some doodles prepared... but idk when that's gonna happennnn sorry friend </3

Their friendship is so special to me. I love that they started out not really liking or caring about each other that much initially and end up becoming besties. One of my favourite parts of playing the game was hearing Rocket call her a psycho because I'm like ohhh buddyyyy… In another life that psycho is in your Top 3 Closest Friends and also you're a bit of a psycho too on occasion so shut up. Anyway,

I tried not to get carried away with this but… ya

After Nebula and Tony are rescued, Rocket takes her to the med bay to get checked out. (He loathes going there usually.) Nebula is surprised that he's bothering and that he isn't mad at her. Rocket is not feeling much of anything Right Now but I think he's just glad that SOMEONE he knows is okay.

After Thor kills Thanos and they take everybody back to Earth, Rocket finally has the meltdown of the century. This is like. Nebula's second time ever attempting to comfort someone so it is VERY awkward and she's also pretty much ready to meltdown herself soooo. Yikes. Divas down!!!

After that, they're pretty much inseparable. When they aren't on Earth doing humanitarian aid they're aiding people elsewhere in the galaxy. When they aren't working, they still spend most of their time together. I think that out of the two of them, Nebula is the closest to the other Avengers. Particularly Nat and Tony. As terrible of a time as she's having emotionally, I think this is also one of the highest points in her life because she has friends for the first time. She has a job and gets to make her own choices, she gets to help people?? Unheard of. She's grateful to get a second chance. BTW Rocket is also "friends" with the Avengers, but I think he's too scared to admit they're more than coworkers to him. You can't lose more friends if you don't have any!! (Goofy floating in pool.gif) On the flip side, Nat and Tony consider him their friend. And Rocket is very popular among the remaining lab interns that work with Tony. His reluctance to make any more friends is soooo one-sided.

I don't want to get too specific abt this one bc I'm still brainstorming it. But at some point, Rocket gets injured in an accident. It's not life-threatening, but he's not allowed to work for a while and that frustrates him deeply. This is the catalyst for a downward spiral that is Not Fun for anybody involved. Nebula has to drag him kicking and screaming back into being a functional person again. 💀

Nebula gets a few upgrades over the years and Rocket does them all for her!! Neither of them are trusting of others, especially not when it comes to medical treatment/procedures. I think they handle 90% of those things by themselves and for each other. Rocket has some strong opinions on the "upgrades" Nebula endured in her childhood, a lot of them turned out to be actively holding her back and causing pain/discomfort. I think she had a lot of sensory issues before they worked on optimizing her settings and cybernetics properly. Not sure if Nebula had many chances to return the favour because I think Rocket is generally against being poked and prodded in any way. (Even if it's just her) And also on account of the kill switch established in V3? Honestly, I don't even know if the kill switch is gonna be a thing at all in my story?? Who knows, not me. These things come to be in dreams and visions.

Honourable mention: They've talked about Gamora a LOT. They both know things about her that the other might not necessarily. I imagine that they shared a lot of stories about her. And the other Guardians, but I think Gamora would come up the most because she's the only one they both had a close relationship with.

So fun fact: me and my sister LOVE corn. We grew up in the midwest, countryside. And anytime we saw corn growing in the fields by us we got excited. (They didn’t plant corn every year because that would ruin the soil).

The other day I was riding around with someone of my friends and drove pass the fields by my house, they planted corn this year. Well I got so excited an yelled “ITS CORN THIS YEAR!!!!” Pulled out my phone and recorded driving pass the fields singing the song It’s Corn to send to my sister.

While this was happening my friends were looking at me like I was fucking mental… 🤦 which they are not wrong and I really need to take my ADHD meds lols

Okay. Going in order of top to bottom. Spoilers maybe. Lots of rambling. Love u

Ryoji: He's literally half of MC's soul or something. He was created and takes the form he has now thanks to MC and knows him unlike any other. I think Ryoji when he sat in class or stared at the ceiling awake at night would imagine ripping MC open and crawling inside, reviling in the warmth he can't remember having but misses like a limb. I think he has a lot of violent unnatural thoughts like that, being the personification of death incarnate and just is fine with it. It's a fact of life he's had since walking into that classroom and seeing MC. The sky is blue and sometimes orange and the river flows at its own pace and the clouds float endlessly and MC's blood probably tastes like ambrosia. I think Ryojin would be a major home wrecker as well. He doesn't particularly care that MC is in a committed relationship, he'd probably just see it as a fun obstacle to move through. He is MC's and MC is his. As it should be and as it has been. Something is wrong with this guy btw.

Akinari: He doesn't have much longer on this earth and spends his remaining time basking in the fleeting joy of the one other person who seems to just get him. MC doesn't pity him, doesn't walk across eggshells. He's just normal and kind and a breath of fresh air, something his tired lungs haven't had in a very long time. He writes, newly inspired, because of MC. He gets up every Sunday and walks to the shrine, stumbling and coughing into his fist just to ensure he can see MC. He is dizzy from love and a lack of medication. He is not at peace, yet, but this is making it both easier and harder to let go. I think, if he was allowed more time, he would doodle their names together in his note book, writing self sustaining fan fiction about their possible union. He's a horrible romantic turned pessimist and this ... friendship of theirs is feeing into a part of him he could've sworn long since failed, with his initial diagnosis.

Chihiro: The freshmen who's found herself madly in love with the only senpai who's ever been kind to her. Similarly to Amada and Maiko and even Aigis, I don't think this is romantic as it seems. She's imprinting these emotions onto the first man who was ever kind to her. Her father was, is?, abusive and her male peers find her too prudish to give her the time of day. She's had little to no good interactions with the opposite sex before now, erring the line of neutral and actively harmful. MC is kind and popular and cool and smart and gorgeous and he never yells and spends time with her to look at stupid manga and to just talk and walk together. He is the anti-isis of everything she assumed a man could be. He's straight out of a shoujo manga. I think she would be happy with him but he wouldn't be happy with her. They're in two different places. But just being near him is enough for her.

Maya: Shrugs. It's a vibe. Bitch is pitiful tho.

Keisuke: OKAY OKAY HERE WE GOOOOO!! HERE WE GO. okay. Don't touch me. Okay. So, Keisuke says in plain English that he's a becoming a doctor for the same reason his father did: to protect someone he cares about. I'm of two minds with him.

1 . he's far too pragmatic to allow himself any sort of active romance while trying to pursue his new goal of getting into med school and becoming an established doctor. He needs to focus and he doesn't understand the concept of multitasking in the macro or micro (for fucks sake, he could stay in the club as a minor hobby or pursue art on the side, again as a hobby but he completely gives up the entire thing to focus all his attention on studying. He's got horrible tunnel vision and I think it's a case of rich kid syndrome! oh no..) BUT, HAVING SAID THAT— 2 . Keisuke actively and constantly uses MC as his North Star and lucky charm simutaniosly. He goes through med school reminding himself of why he's even doing this. He's 2 days deep into back to back all-nighters to prep for a cadaver lab he has to ace if he's going to pass this class with high marks and in a moment of rest lays his head on the desk and imagines MC's chuckle. He sees pale hands holding a paintbrush without experience but doing it anyway. He feels thick hair between his fingers and smells that signature scent, a phantom in his study corner. He's invigorated suddenly and dives right back in, ready to work.

He's so down bad he's in school for 8 something whatever years and finally becomes a doctor and his first thought it "I wanna see MC" so he does. He went without any sort of relationship or anything more important then a quick fling (sexual activity is good for positive reinforcement and memorization in relation to test taking says a 2013 Harvard study—) and the FIRST thing he does is set up a dinner with MC.

In my current world, he sees that MC is happily taken (still with his high school sweetheart, of course) and he is as crushed as he is unperturbed. A part of me, the part my heart rests in, thinks he would always love MC in some way but one day move on. He deserves to move on and love and be loved. The part of me with hands and access to google docs knows he would kiss his teeth and smile and say congratulations on the long relationship. He would then, the moment he gets home, strap himself in, take a deep breath and get ready to once again play the long game. He's done it once before already, he can do it again. Yuko is sweet and he loves her as well, they were all friends, but she's ... simple. Shallow. A realtionship with her is all good and fine, but it can't last forever. MC is too complex, too multi-faced to be comfortable with such a humble girl. This was just another test he had to pass that's all. And now that he had a nice cushy job, doing what he loves he can wait for as long as necessary. He's a rich kid at heart and is used to getting what he wants. This hasn't changed.

In a better world, everything listed above is ignored because they admitted their feelings for each other shortly after MC graduated HS. Keisuke goes to school, keeping this relationship with the man of his dreams as a reward to be earned. Once he earns it, he basks in that love till the end of his days.

Tanaka: This old ass man has issues .... During his support (don't look at me FE3h fans fuck off) he kept constantly commenting about MC's looks and supple young body. For most of them I assumed the secret we couldn't speak of was tanaka actively pursuing an underaged boy. Apparently it was just giving free advice and bad mouthing orphans. Sure. Okay. To me Tanaka is a closeted gay man, always has been always will be and falls into that particularly nasty genre of 'early 2000's gay and predatory'. He never got the chance to experience a boy like MC when he was younger and he'd like the chance now. He won't get it, and he won't act on it surprisingly but he would like to. Creep.

Teacher Bitch: Shrugs. It's a vibe. Bitch is pitiful tho. Also she like says it so,... yaknow.

Yuko: YAYYYYY HERE WE GOOOOOO!!! okay. I'm normal. Lol

Yuko is arguably one of the most well adjusted people in this entire fucking cast and she acts like it. She's a relatively boring and uninteresting girl, unknowingly so mind you, and this is like 90% of her draw. Not to MC post this isn't about him BUT Yuko's simplistic problems and the ease she brings is something no one on this list can replicate.

Remember how I said everyone basically sees MC as this lovable pillar of a boy, someone who's perfect and kind and stable compared to the mess that everyone else is? Yeah he sees YUKO like that. She's level headed and dependable, keeping him grounded and reminding him of the good things in life to live for. The simple things. When your house mates are dropping like flies and you're actively attempting to save the world on a month by month bases you get jaded and tired quickly. Yuko is his charger of sorts. He loves walking with her and just listening to her bitch about the track team or the bitches in her class or a show she watched the night prior with an unsatisfying ending. She has single handedly kept MC from offing himself more than once. Huzzah!

Anyway, Yuko! I think that while she loves MC so much and is so glad to have a boyfriend who isn't cheating on her or using her for something or another, she's a normal girl. She day dreams about him but knows when to turn it off. When she's managing teams, doing her own sports or just generally trying to pursue whatever is the goal at that moment she's focused. She doesn't really have the personality needed to devote herself entirely to one person and let them fuel her life (like a certain someone cough KEISUKE cough) so she has a great balance of things in her life. She's so normal I love her hahah can you tell who my favorites are? LOL

Bebe: see, our dear frenchmen was a hard one to place. I was stuck between putting him a tier higher with the sickly crowd but what saved him is ability to take a step back. Honestly, while I think bebe is in love with MC, in some capacity, I don't think he would ever pursue it.

He's a bit of a Japan fetishizer imo, (his love for the country either being a bit too much or a flag pointing at his deeper trauma in relation to his home country and specifically his family) and his affection for MC feels like a natural extent of that. No one else in the school would really give him the time of day, especially with his eccentric personality and style and general obvious "foreign-ness" so MC got the brunt of his affections. Having said this, I think bebe had bigger fish to fry so he couldn't allow himself to focus on MC entirely. He just didn't have the bandwidth for it. Also, again, I think a lot of it was just a general interest in Japan and its people as a package deal, not MC intrinsically.

Mc being there as Bebe mourned his aunt and dealt with the brunt of his uncle's promptings to come back only added to those affections. Again, MC is a pillar. We know this. Anyway, Bebe goes back to France stays there for a few years before marrying a nice Japanese woman and getting a citizenship in Japan forever! He comes back and the first person on his list is his best friend who was always there for him. They stay in touch as pen-pals and they're close. Bebe would name a baby after MC. Shrugs

Aigis: Her entire backstory shapes the events of the game and links her fundamentally with the MC... I know you can pursue a romantic relationship with her so obviously she has,... some feelings there for the taking, but past just user choice I think it's more imprinting then actual love built of knowing someone. She's fought with you and protected you as you protected her. You're the first man, and human, who saw her as more than a machine and that sticks with her. I think the complicated nature of her past with you would make it difficult for her to parse these emotions and as such a wide label such as "romantic love" is too constricting. Do I think she would willingly date MC? no. Do I think she would think she would willingly date mc? yes.

Junpei: Fucker has 100 million self esteem issues with only 90milion of those being actively irritated further by MC's place in relation to himself. He's straight, this I do believe, but I think his complicated feelings when thinking about his own usefulness and purpose in comparison with someone who is so, seemingly, perfect would mix the bag heavily, so to say. He def has those almost gay thoughts like "why is MC so perfect and hot and sexy and everyone loves him" and this is never examined further about what this may mean. Could go into "I have eyes" category, but there's too much ire and sourness there for a blanket "of course he's hot and I recognize that". Would never say it or think it but he would be down for a game of spin the bottle. Type of guy who would be perfect in a "gay-chicken" or similar "fake dating au that turns too real" story.

Amada: He is a child so the romantic feelings in question aren't even close to the same bracket of anyone else on this list, save Maiko. I think considering the... fucking everything that Amada went through during his life and particularly his arc, having someone who is such a constant pillar and so stable would be really defining for him. It's more hero worship than anything, but it looks like a school yard crush as well. He wants to be like MC and idolizes him so much that he, in a child like way, forms a crush on him through that want. It's wholly innocent and serves more as a means for others to tease him when he's older than anything else. I see them as older brother and younger brother dynamic but point stands.

Maiko: Functionally the same as Amada. Won't survive into adulthood. Strong older brother type found her in a moment of unease and change and was a kind constant. That's all.

Takaya: Fucking has something wrong with him. I think there's a deep jealousy and hate inside him to see MC have the life he never got, one of rest and comfort and acceptance without this evil power thrusted upon him. I think he hates MC for thinking he's better then them ( not true) because he's never suffered (not true) and never had the world turn it's back on him (not true). He wishes MC joined them, even still, and I think momentarily mourned that considering how much he tries to make us see his way of thinking. The man lacks strategy it seems so I don't believe it was just "AHH I wanted a strong ally that's alllll" or just "I need the dark hour and tower untouched and unbothered!!". I think he's sick in the head.
