oh jeez okay here goes nothing

1. i play six instruments (guitar, drums, bass, piano, french horn, & ukulele).

2. i fronted (guitar/vocals) a band called fivebyfive for about a year and a half.

3. i have two younger sisters, abby (11) and miranda (13).

4. most of my family is incredibly religious (jehovah’s witnesses, evangelical christians, 7th-day adventists, huge part of the bethel church and school, in a famous christian rock band…yeah), but i’m an agnostic atheist. they don’t know about this.

5. i’m bisexual but i have a strong preference for women. probably a 5 on the kinsey scale.

6. about a year ago i got into soccer, specifically women’s soccer. now i take photos at portland thorns fc games for nwsl news.

7. in july 2012 i was diagnosed with a bunch of stuff:

major depressive affective disorder recurrent episode in partial or unspecified remission

generalized anxiety disorder

mild post-traumatic stress disorder [[i was in a bad car accident when i was seven]]

panic disorder with agoraphobia

attention deficit disorder of childhood with hyperactivity

mild obsessive compulsive disorder

tourette’s syndrome [[it is nothing like the ‘tourettes guy’ and i don’t have coprolalia - please read this as most people don’t really know about it - oh and feel free to ask any questions you may have]]

social phobia

8. i love cinematography. if you were to watch a movie with me, you’d probably hear me say that i like the lighting or a certain type of shot. some of my favorite movies, but not nearly all of them, are american beauty, memento, the truman show, big fish, annie hall, serenity, heathers, saving silverman, pay it forward, the goonies, and clueless. [[don’t watch the clips if you haven’t seen them and don’t want any spoilers]]

9. i like oddities, conspiracy theories, creepy things, etc. things that can’t be proven or disproven, but are most likely false. i like suspending disbelief for the sake of entertainment. this is probably because i’m usually quite logical and favor reason over faith when it comes to most things (unless i’m purposely trying to freak myself out or something).

10. i’m into a lot of different music, but these are some bands/artists i really like: la dispute, into it. over it., the donnas, say anything, the veronicas, fiona apple, the hives, chase coy, jack’s mannequin, veruca salt, lights, joan jett & the blackhearts, stephen jerzak, led zeppelin, metric, sara bareilles, iamamiwhoami, madsen, & the sounds.

Timon and Pumbaa: Who is your best friend? How did you meet this person? Why are they so important to you?

I have a few best friends, so for the purpose of this I'll do three people: Kaelin, Mae, and Eamonn! 

I met Kaelin through tumblr, because she was one of my first followers and we started talking about Darren and Starkid and realized we went to school near each other, and we met up and she's been one of my best friends ever since. Kaelin has been to so many events with me, and is one of the few people I really fangirl around. 

I met Mae in 6th grade, but we really became friends in 7th and 8th grade. She means a ton to me, because she was one of my first friends at my school and really helped me feel more comfortable at school. She's honestly just amazing. 

I met Eamonn because we were in debate together, and became debate partners in 8th grade. He drives me crazy sometimes, but he is also one of my best friends, and he really grounds me. 

Rapunzel: What is something that you have always dreamed of?

I've always dreamed of getting to perform for a big crowd, and just of being on stage in general. 

Andy: What was/were your favorite toy(s) growing up?

I had two. One was my Thomas the tank engine train set, and the other was my American Girl dolls.

No :( I'd love to go to Comic Con

2. Favorite piece of merchandise you own? 

The poster i got at the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

...I don't know! uuummmm....well, the most recent one i went to was one where my brother's band The Luddites was playing.

4. Do you sleep with any stuffed animals? 

yes, but i've been trying to break the habit. i love my stufties (a pig and a bunny...Oinky and Bunny) to death, but i don't want to be like twenty and still sleeping with them.

5. Favorite book you have read in the past year? 

DIFFICULT! probably The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

6. Favorite musical or play? 

oh, gosh! i'm assuming you mean live musical, otherwise i'd say the movie of West Side Story . Um, probably South Pacific. 

7. Favorite Harry Potter character and why? 

I can't choose! I love them all so much!. I will say the character that i was surprised to realize had grown on me so much was Remus. he's just a nice guy with bad luck and there's nothing to really dislike about him. also, he's and awesome teacher and i love his relationship with harry.

8. Do you use/like Facebook? 

yes and usually. it can get frustrating.

9. What posters/things do you have up on your walls? 

about a gazillion different things. i have posters for movies and musicals and some art i've done... a couple of things from italy...and some Degas posters.

10. What was the last TV show you watched? 

The West Wing

11. Who was your last text from? 

um...my mom?
