these are the only things ive been able to draw ever since I landed on the US AURGH

I have like. all my artfight revenges and attacks sketched out in my sketchbook, fr all of them (since I did them while i was on the airplane) but problem is i don't really have any way to draw them digitally,,,,,, my mom has a tablet but i barely have time to use it + my ass is not used it

I might have to do the attacks traditionally, which sucks because i don't have my colored pencils with me ( ILY CMYK pencils, but you are not enough for the work) + I wanna do them digitally so they actually look good

Anyways, heres a sketch of Z and ENA using CMY colored pencils and a black sharpie while I try to figure stuff out

Concept art for a new species within the Sunset Sands Sinematic Suniverse: Mechins (pronounced meh-kin). More worldbuilding details below images.

I’ve had this idea for a while, but this is my first time trying to put it to paper. The basic concept is that they are mobile structures made of a wood pulp/paper mache-like material, analogous to termite mounds or wasp nests. The eusocial bug-like creatures that built and lives inside the structure have highly specialized castes for each of its necessary bodily functions, filling the roles of muscles, nerves, and connective fiber. Though none of these creatures are sapient on their own, they come together to form an intelligent collective conscience, that being the mind of the mechin itself.

Because the shape and structure of the hard outer parts is not determined by the resident creatures’ DNA, mechins can take on a near infinite variety of sizes and body plans. They may also incorporate materials besides just the aforementioned wood pulp, such as glass or metal, if they come across it.

The outer shell may take a more sleek, robotic form or a bumpier, organic form. This is more a matter of personal preference than anything, with tendencies from one to another varying greatly depending on region and cultural background.

The social structure of mechins is a bit more solitary than humans, with some individuals, especially larger ones. behaving and being viewed as more as nations than people. They are highly protective of the land they claim and the resources held within, and will fight off any unwanted invaders that may enter, often with weapons built into their bodies. If another mechin is found to be trustworthy, they may form an alliance, with larger alliances comprising possibly thousands of individual colonies. Alliances between mechins are technically a form of polyamorous romantic relationship, and behavior between allied mechins is usually more flirtatious than diplomatic.

The mechin reproductive process involves two or more individuals within an alliance first gathering the materials required to build the outer shell, mostly just plant matter and small bits of metal. After that, one adds a queen to the materials while the others each add a few drones. These initial organisms will give way to a generation of nerve, connective, and muscle organisms which will work together to construct a starting body for the colony-to-be. The structure of the newborn mechin is not set for life, and may be expanded and renovated in accordance with current tactical needs or fashion trends.

Mechin gender is determined by their preferred way of interacting with other mechins, and may change many times over the course of their lives. The long list of meche genders includes but is not limited to “warlord,” “diplomat,” “pacifist,” “isolationist,” and “economist.” It is generally expected that alliances will occur between mechins of the same gender, but straight relationships are not too uncommon.

The mechin homeworld, Borgam, is hotter than, drier than, and about 1.25x the size of Earth. It has five moons of varying sizes and orbits a pair of red stars. I have not yet put much thought into the resident flora and fauna of this planet, but I do know at the very least that there are a few species of eusocial centipede, which are relatives of the species that gave rise to the mechins.

That is all I can currently think to say about these things. Like all of my other assorted worldbuilding messes, I will add onto this post later if there is anything interesting I can think to expand on.

I wish I could post more about snipers, dogs ( and maybe sum psychology and horses XD ) on here other than my media interests! but I just started learning stuff about it for now I admire it from far away...but I <3 reading Wikipedia pages on how snipers work and their different designs of them! I still haven't decided on Alices type of sniper but it is defiantly not a new one she likes to stick to the 'classics' but that just means she likes wooden snipers rather than heavy metal ones since imagine carrying on of those on her back! O_0.....She prefers to carry around the wood one out of ease ^_^"! Also I don't only like dogs but I really like canis lupus overall ( Foxes, Dogs, Wolves )!!! ( That doesn't mean I don't love horses :-D neigh! )

I think because of her ability to shapeshift, maybe Beauty and the Beast?

Perhaps she was cursed to take on a monstrous form by witch (think Eda’s feral Owl demon form from Owl House) until she finds true love before some arbitrary birthday. So she would be Beast. Right as she’s about to give up, a wayward traveller by the name of Fenris (beauty, because let’s be real, mans is gorjus) arrives and helps her see that she’s not really the monster she and the villagers have made her out to be.

And, this is so unserious, but i had this intrusive thought of Elgarnan as Gaston.

Even more unserious - Illario as Lumiere. (Does that make Lucanis Cogsworth???)

I think over the course of the fairytale Fenris would get to realize the Beast is actually not that scary and can be pretty funny/goofy (and he’ll never admit it, but her jokes make him laugh).

Anyway, this is definitely making me feel like I need to draw this fairytale AU next. Thank you for feeding my next hyperfixation anon. And thank you for letting me yap about my rarepair, FenRook :’)

yeah I can see that! also a bed or two in the med bay and possibly the barracks that are tube-shaped like their beds on kamino, to help soothe them when a vodpile isn’t going to help.

I can see someone building one for fox to sleep in all of the time (whenever he actually gets to bed anyway) and they’re all shocked when it actually helps a bit

sometimes i think of any of the coruscant guard having kamino-brand coping mechanisms, like maybe Thorn is getting visibly angry, is being unnecessarily rough with others, and not exactly following orders given to him by non-clones, so Fox just tells him to go lock himself in a dark broom closet until he cools off to mimic Kamino's way of dealing with that. so he does, and so do several other guardsmen over time because that's one of the only ways they know how to cope. or maybe they feel extremely bored/dissatisfied with some "easy" tasks, so they start fighting each other until they're in enough pain to make them feel like they're being useful. a majority of them probably know it's not the way people usually handle anger, but they see this as "well we're clones so that doesn't apply to us. obviously!" from being too conditioned + alone to really think otherwise (for now)
