Holiday Scrapniks!! Fun fact, I actually drew most of these last year, but decided not to post because the scrapnik island miniseries hadn't finished yet. We wanted to keep people in suspense with whether or not things were going to be okay in the end! A mean little lie for a happy ending >:^)

my ass was so close to falling asleep and then I remembered the sunflower Mecha watches over is totally the first flower the metal virus infected and now I’m WIDE fuckin awake again GOD this comic makes me so FUCKING CRAZY

So i showed a friend this mecha drawing i did

We started talking about him and suddently she goes "oh, so hes the little prince coded" and-

he kinda is isnt he? And i find that interesting. The little prince is on a small planet, mecha is on a small island, mecha has his sunflower, the little prince has his rose theres other simularities of course those just came to mind while typeing this.

What is the one thing you want most

Most of the mechs, or other sonic copybots respond in unison with “To become the true/Better Sonic.”

However, neo doesnt hesitate his response.

“To make my master proud. That is my purpose in life and one true goal.”

“I, personally, want to become respected and feared like i used to be.

Or.. atleast loved by someone. Anyone..”

Infinite awnsers, mumbling under his breath.

“For me, my one true desire is to have sonic! I already have my own free will anyways!”

I have a couple of things I wanna say to you too.

2. "Organic" Metal Knuckles was just a concept.. nothing much to it as I was only focusing on Metal. BUT!!! As I'm developing new ideas and other stuff. I'm rethinking of a new design for both Metal Knuckles and Tails (doll) in the future!!!

3. Android Shadow is pretty cool. Piss man yellow man. I know there's more colors than yellow but that one is my favorite.

I never got to finish Mania but I love the Hard Boiled Heavies from their awesome colorful design. I actually drew Heavy King not too long ago...

Unfortunately, I haven't played Superstars yet but, holy shit?? BIG FANG MECHA ROBOT??

Metal overlord is metal sonic but beeg so I love them just the same

I think their design is lame and their arc is rushed and their personality is meh.

The whole Scrapnik Island trade book is out!!! Today!!! Right now!!! Go pick it up physically and/or digitally! I wanted to make a fun illustration to celebrate such a cool story that was a blast to color and design for. I tried to fit as many of the scrapniks that appeared in the miniseries as I could! Daniel Barnes is a fantastic writer and friend and Jack Lawrence is a sweetheart and incredible artist. I'm extremely glad I could work with both of them on this amazing project. Lots of love and care went into the story and art, so please pick up the book at a local bookstore/comic shop, or online order, or digitally if you prefer! I was ranting about how nobody in the Sonic fandom can have nuanced takes anymore (this is a wide internet issue) which leads to people viewing you as one of “those” sonic fans really easily even if you genuinely enjoy the media you’re criticizing (yes these feelings did stem from that Metal ask that got posted)

Keyword. 'maybe'. Sonic had little to no interest in keeping this robot around as a 'partner', afterall Sonic already had and very much loved Shadow way more than he'd love a robot as it was just in his nature, but the X robot was proving to be more and more helpful.

' ' Focus the Badniks, I got Neo. ' '

Sonic Makes sure to call out to The X-Robot. He does feel sympathy for Neo's pain, dont get him wrong, but he had to get the emeralds out of him first before he could help him. he was too dangerous powered up by the emeralds, plus they didn't belong to him. pluuuss.. there was a time limit on Angel Island falling and he really needed to get that Master Emerald back to it before the entire Island and anyone on it was lost to the ocean.

Sonic Launches back some and whips his head over to Eggman. with that cocky grin, The hedgehog blasts over with a speedy run and dashes past the doctor to slam his shoe down onto the emergency button The Doctor hit. now either he just made it worse for himself- or he broke it indefinitely. nonetheless, he knew he'd see the outcome so he balled up again and charged up a rather violent in-place spindash. his quills were accustomed to cutting through metal by now especially at the speeds he could reach so thats what his in-place spindash was doing to Eggman's control console before he let go of the floor and let his momentum and speeding spindash slam against Neo again. unrelenting, but he kinda had to do what he had to do. besides.. his absence made him realize he had to stop holding back from the badniks.

Little did Eggman seem to know in the moment, but the X-Robot had managed to sneak Sonic in without the hedgehog needing to use the louder and more abrasive break in plan that he had in mind. Sonic, wanting to be separate from the X-Robot from now on, speaks up in a quiet voice. even if his fur itched with the urge to run about and go about this as he normally would.

' ' Hey, X? could you please distract or 'disarm' your friends? specifically Infinite and rusty? I can handle the rest of- well- everything here. ' '

Sonic says the last part a little cockily, that iconic smug smirk on his expression.

“Ofcourse i can!”

X would beam quietly but happily, giving a thumbs up and nod, without any warning, the robot seems to transform from ‘amy’ mode, with the hammer, to ‘sonic’ mode. Where he seems to immediatly BLAST off from where he is with sonic, dashing into view.

Egghead is currently surveying his army as they’ve been fixed, going about their duties until X rushed into view. Eggman was about to demand where the robot had been but without any distractions or any waiting, he launches into the air and a sickening mettalic *CRRRUNNNCH* is heard as he jumps up and full-speed slams his metallic feet into rustys skull. Caving it in with momentum, gravity, and etc. she gets no time to react before hes standing on her crushed skull with a dangerous whirl of his head twords infinite. The jackal, shellshocked, cant react fast enough before his hammer is rammed into his stomach with a gut-wrenching dog cry.

“WHAT IN THE FUCKI— BAH! ANOTHER TRAITOR. EVERYONE! DESTROY THE X ROBOT!”

Eggman screams out, slamming his massive fist on the railing of the balcony where he stands. Neo stands at his heels, snarling and barking like a crazy canine.

X seems to panic when the rest of the others are all called upon them. But he stands his ground after slamming infinites skull in, spinning his hammer until it transforms into something akin to knuckles’ fists. And the robot begins to fight for its life. Trying to impress sonic by fighting against models that are ten times his size, weight, and strength.
