I'm gonna mix it up and not limit this just to Sunset OCs for once! Weird. I'll answer for Alex (from Sunset), Lux (My mech pilot/mechanic), and Piper (my freckled punk dream-walker).

Alex- (When he had a bedroom of his own) a laptop covered in stickers, a good bluetooth speaker, colorful clothes that should have been folded and put away but are in a crumpled pile instead Lux- A desk covered in tools and little robot toys he's been tinkering with building, a fluffy blanket, a framed photo of his mother Piper- An easel and paints, an electric keyboard, a record player and his vinyl collection

What do they notice first in a person?

Alex- Their posture Lux- Their smile Piper- He notices their smell first but he tries to look for their butt first

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?

Alex- At the start of Sunset vol 1, probably a solid 6/10, but by Vol 3 he's (unfortunately) closer to a 9/10 Lux- 7/10 Piper- He's very smol, you see. 3/10

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

Alex- Fight Lux- Fight Piper- Flight or Freeze

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Alex- Alex was raised by (very dysfunctional) adoptive parents until he was 14, then found his found family, who he's very dedicated to. And it tends to grow. Lux- It was just Lux and his mother when he was growing up, but he'd definitely consider himself a family person. She's gone now, but he's far from lonely or isolated. Piper- Piper bounced from foster home to foster home, and has developed a heck of a wall around himself. His found-family has found him though-- he just has to realize it's safe to let them in.

What animal represents them best?

Alex- A feral orange cat Lux- An industrious, curious squirrel Piper- A scrappy little mutt of a dog who thinks it's bigger than it is

What is a smell that they dislike?

Alex- Antiseptic cleaner Lux- Raw meat Piper- Cooking mushrooms

Have they broken any bones?

Alex- Yup (fighting monsters tends to do that) Lux- So many (war tends to do that) Piper- Nope!

How would a stranger likely describe them?

Alex- Early in Sunset: That queer little shit with the burn scar on his cheek and cherry-red hair. Later on in Sunset: The short guy with long hair, covered in scars and tattoos. Looks like someone you probably don't want to tangle with, but he's got a cute butt. Lux- The guy with the a robotic arm and blue hair. Piper- Little gutter punk with freckles and long hair.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird?

Alex- Night owl and then some Lux- More of a morning person Piper- Night owl

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love?

Alex- Hate: bitter things; Love: cheesy flavors Lux- Hate: artificial chocolate flavor; Love: cinnamon Piper- Hate: watermelon; Love: sour candy

Do they have any hobbies?

Alex- When he's got the luxury of hobbies, Alex enjoys dancing, video games, music Lux- Lux tinkers and builds little robotic toys in his spare time, and usually drops them off with local charities for kids Piper- Piper's a painter and a musician. He plays piano and sings, and noodles around with weird, experimental music.

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises?

Alex- It's not really a surprise, because he's a psychometrist and almost certainly Read the history of people planning it before it happens. But he'd totally eat it up nonetheless. Lux- Lux would be totally overjoyed. He loves surprises, trying new things, laughing, getting curious, being silly... He'd be thrilled. Piper- Piper would initially panic and freeze, then be suspicious of the whole thing and get a little cagey, but he'd express gratitude and do his best to have a good time.

Do they like to wear jewelry?

Alex- Yes, to a point- he has stretched ears so he always wears plugs, and as the story unfolds, he starts wearing a specific necklace that has a lot of meaning to him. He'd probably wear more if it were feasible with his on-the-run life. Lux- He has a few earrings, but otherwise no. Lux is pretty practical and utilitarian. Even his blue hair is natural--he'd never put in the effort to maintain a dye job. Jewelry is the same. Piper- Yes! He is pierced, wears necklaces and bracelets-- pentacles and ankhs and inverted crosses, thumb rings, safety pins galore... You get the idea.

Do they have neat or messy handwriting?

Alex- Super messy. Alex didn't learn to properly read and write until he was 14, and it's more or less reflected in his handwriting. Lux- It's the kind of all-caps printed chicken scratch that looks nice on a page when you look at it as a whole, but when you try to read it, it's harder to decipher. Piper- Very neat. He always manages to write in perfectly straight lines on blank sheets of paper, which is very annoying to the rest of us humans.

What are the two emotions they feel the most?

Alex- Love, pride Lux- Joy, melancholy Piper- Fear, defensiveness

Do they have a favorite fabric?

Alex- Hoodies Lux- Sturdy canvas Piper- Flannel

What kind of accent do they have?

Alex- Alex is American but spends of a lot of time living and traveling through Europe, so that influences it in subtle ways. Lux- Lux is an alien, but has something of an American Southern lilt (in the immortal words of The Doctor, "Lots of planets have a South") Piper- Very subtle American Mid-western accent

          " officer (l/n) ,, this is your new partner ." was what you heard from the chief ,, setting down your drink and looking up to meet the large mech in front of you . he was one of those cybertronians from space ,, here on earth for some reason . you didnt keep up with the news as of late ,, busy mourning your previous partner who had died in a recent crossfire between a gang that you two had been tracking for some weeks now . " hello ,, it's nice to meet you ,," you nodded to the brightly colored mech . " it's tracks ,, and it's nice to meet you as well officer ." he replied . his voice was different from what you've heard before in your life .

          silky and velvety ,, as though it would be from the most expensive of cloth around the world . it was that of one you would hear from those rich british men who came overseas and always had something to complaim about . yet ,, he didnt seem the type to do that .

          " well tracks ,, hope youre good with long term cases ." you snicker to yourself before taking a quick sip of your drink and opening the case file to the previously mentioned gang . " my previous partner and i had gotten somewhat close to arresting these punks ,, but things happened and they ended up escaping ." tracks got down to one knee ,, his arm resting over his leg as he peered over your shoulder . you saw the chief leave the room out of the corner of your eye ,, and resumed your focus to the file .

          " what gang is this ?" tracks asked ,, scanning over the words in the file . your hand came to your chin ,, explaining what you knew so far of the crooks . " they deal with human trafficking ,, kidnapping women who stray a little too far from the street lights to sell and trade on the black market . they've also been known to be the result of a few mass murders down town in some clubs ." you take another quick sip from your drink ,, flipping the pages . " last we saw them was in an alley of a bar ,, leaving in a limousine . so i'm guessing they've either got a hella lot of money ,, or they're good business partners with those who do ."

          tracks nodded ,, taking in the information better than you'd assume he would . maybe you were expecting a few disgusted looks or a gag ,, yet received nothing of the sort . " do you know their usual routine yet ?" he asked ,, helm turning your way . " kind of ,, though i'm not sure it really can count as a routine . the most active they are is on wednesday nights ,, usually in allies of bars or clubs . the closest i had gotten to getting a lead on them was two weeks ago ."

          " what happened ? im assuming you didnt figure out where they went ,," he tilted his helm to the side . " some others were behind me an' my partner ,, they shot at us a bit . one of their bullets grazed my partner ,, and ever since i havent been able to work on the case ." you casted your eyes to the side ,, remembering the night . adrenaline had pumped vigorously through your veins ,, trying your damnest to steer clear of the bullets flying past the vehicle . you did manage to steer clear of them ,, though at the cost of your partner getting severely injured . the images of it flooded your mind ,, squinting your eyes close and taking another sip of your drink .

           " sorry for your loss ." tracks murmured lowly ,, unsure of what to do . you only shook your head ,, brushing it off . " doesnt matter ,, just be sure youre ready later tonight for a bit of patrolling ." you waved your hand at him ,, leaving the case file with the mech so he can review it as much as needed .

First thing, first. Happy New Year! I wish everyone a great year! I couldn’t do a proper drawing but I was sketching this chibis while watching a music show about old bands. And also working in a new drawing style for my mech. This is for a Idol/Music Band AU with some of the Inazuma characters. I don’t have a lot of ideas yet and I’m still deciding the styles of them as I understand 0 about music. Ideas I have this far: -Aliea group are rappers with Midorikawa and Saginuma as the main voices. They learned in the street bc orphans. Hitomiko discovered them and is their manager. -B4 is a rock/punk/metal band (to decide, I don’t know). Someoka is the leader and second voice (I guess he should play the bass too), Fudou is the vocalist (and guitar). Tsunami is the drum and Tobitaka the music keyboard. They look like very agresive people but they are all cinnamon rolls. -Kidou is a genius violinist who was forced to join the idol world and despises everything about it :D Until he saw Fudou singing (and maybe dancing) and got touched (in more than one way maybe).  -Gouenji doesn’t give a fuck about anything. He is an Idol to pay for his sister medical bills. People seem to love his “cold attitude” anyways. -Endou is the most annoying and energetic being on Earth about singing and dancing and how music conects people. His grandfather was a very popular singer and he wants to follow his steps. -Hiroto, Haizaki and Shinobu are the most popular band this far, noone understand how they got there. (All of this started bc I wanted to draw Shinobu in these clothes). -Fububros are tired of the idol world bc they work there since kids. Despite singing sweet songs both of them like more other styles. Shirou is in love with B4 band music and Atsuya once tried blackmailing Aliea group to join them incognito mode but he was discovered fast and had to run away from the fans. -The managers are in a Idol Group with too sweet music. They wears one specific flower each one from their “season” (Natsumi is Sunflower I don’t know the others yet).

I’d like to add other characters to this AU as Kazemaru but maybe he can be a fan XD I’ll try to colour them too. You can add your suggestions!! Here or by message.

I have a LONG thing of galo's trans history and growing up imma write it poorly c:

I silly hc Galo's parents as Kamina and Yoko because i can why not. Two punks who got together super young, couldnt afford rings or an actual wedding. Had a couple friends witness them sign papers in a government building and then both went clubbing after to celebrate marriage.

When they decided to have kids they had a hard time. There were 2 miscarriages before Galo and Galo was born prematurely but made it with a bunch of hospital visits. The couple were then extra broke because of this. Galo's mom called him her 'little miracle'. They lived with the rest of the Gurren Lagann crew in a shitty apartment building. They raised Galo the best they could and he was a spoiled child for as much as they could and literally every adult in the building loved him. The apartment housed secret burnish and the neighborhood was considered slums and full of anarchists. Yoko and Kamina of course were okay with that title and didnt care much for how the government was treating the burnish situation.

Eventually (by the time Galo was 10) Yoko and Kamina could afford a 'proper' wedding. They rented a small venue and mostly just threw a party to exchange some cheap rings they finally got and have a good time with friends. Galo remembers it still as an adult, as he ran down the aisle with the rings instead of walked cause he got nervous. He also remembers both his parents getting absulotely drunk at the wedding and his parents lifting him up to dance on top of the bar with them.

Once Galo was put into school did he bring up his gender confusion. He, of course, was gendered female in school and had to be grouped as such. Once he expressed his concerns with his parents they were open to help him. He was put on puberty blockers as a kid. His parents were supportive even tho it was sometimes 'theyre a little confused but they got the spirit' of it.

When the fire happened, Galo lost his parents and the other 'family' that were in the apartment building. The media praised Kray and the burnish flames were left to how the apartment was housing burnish and that the neighborhood was bad. The media was wrong of course, but freeze force didnt care to look into it much. The attention was aimed at Kray being a savior.

After the incident Galo was in a church foster care and immediately off blockers and had the worst time of his life. It was a mixture of how Galo looked (dressed as a boy, undercut, etc) the neighbors and school he attended identifying Galo with he/him, (the focus was also more so on Kray not Galo) on why the media gendered Galo correctly. Kray was later informed Galo was trans and in turn, outed him to the media, but in a ploy to make Kray himself look good and 'open minded'. Galo was going through a lot so he didnt see it as a bad thing, he saw it as Kray accepting him like his parents did. Kray still simply 'couldnt help' Galo obtain blockers or late hrt. Galo was mostly left to however the foster care system provided for him which was maybe used clothes and misgendering.

Galo's preteen years was a mix of life taking attempts, full on deep isolation and obsession with studying about the Edo period to disassociate with, a couple years dressing as the most girly girl possible as bullying and harassments got too much and then also Galo's beginning of self harm via over working out. Galo's unfortunate reason to keep going most of the time was Kray's visits. When he would go see Kray work and be inspired seeing how much Kray was growing in 'helping' the city and everyone. Kray wouldn't visit often but when he did, Galo would be treated with good food, shopping sprees, fun trips to see mechs and weapons get built and Kray wouldn't ever misgender Galo in front of him.

Galo grew up very awkward and hard to interact with others but always enthusiastic about it. In order to impress Kray he wanted to make sure his own image looked good and tried his best at being picture perfect like Kray was. Galo studied hard, started working young, went stealth to pass as cis, practice his façade to make friends and started young with his bravado attitude in any spotlight he got.

When he wanted top surgery, Kray 'didnt have the funds'. Galo chalked it up to Kray can't be spending money on Galo all the time, he had better things to do and money was better spent on those in need and not Galo. Kray was investing in his large statue of himself. Galo worked to save money and after years he approached Kray with the money he saved and asked for help finding a surgeon. Kray told Galo to find one on his own since he 'wouldn't know how any of that sex change stuff works anyway'. Galo did and finally went through with it all on his own. It was in the hospital when no one visited him that some doubts about Kray started popping up.

Galo did this right as he turned 18. He was out of foster care and he had to rent an apartment for himself to live in, Kray promised to help with that but he never did. At one point Galo, a month out of surgery, couldn't afford rent since it all went to medications and the surgery (he had the tendency to get super focused on one goal that he would neglect everything else to accomplice it). He was kicked out of the apartment and ended up on Kray's doorstep. But he didnt actually have Kray's home address so it was his office building and when Kray purposely tried to ignore him and just not go into the office and Galo fell asleep in front the building for a couple night and people started talking.. suddenly Kray could afford a small apartment right next to the Burning Rescues training building.

Time skip to after the film's events.

I wrote alot and am tired now so ill write more later maybe but some quick stuff.

Galo was raised to be ashamed of being trans and having taught to keep it a thing to himself and a secret. When meeting the Mad Burnish after the events and Galo finally got to hang out with Lio, (who ended up being the first trans person he could talk about gender stuff with) did he start seeing a different side to it all. And when Galo saw how un ashamed Meis and Gueira were with presenting themselves helped have Galo also realize he could dress a lil more fun then just black tshirts and his work uniform (though he was always proud to wear his uniform out) Galo would start questioning himself again and realize he's non binary.

I focused on Galo but I will prob do the others soon. others meaning Lio Meis and Gueira all have their own journeys. and also this was somewhat focused on trans shit but i do have more not trans related hc about Galo's past.

Well well welly well well....

Let's talk about the art I made for the finale and the last couple character designs revealed, shall we?

It was an all-hands-on-deck situation, and I was able to contribute to one of the final scenes. I hadn't gotten to draw Maria yet this volume, and so that's what I request for this final assignment.

After my last scene with Adam, I had foolishly believed I wouldn't have to draw the Atlas rifles again. Nope! xD I also kinda uh, just put whatever for the mermaid grimm, and wasn't super clear that they had a specific look, so i just sorta drew generally aquatic monsters, but it works out anyways and nobody called me out on it wwwww

The mech was also a bit of a pickle! Had to ask other sketchies for ref images, and I think the design of the mech was still in flux right up to the very last possible second. Still though, skyscraper-sized robots are always fun.

Maria was such a treat to draw, I love how she's simultaneously full of wisdom and also continuously very confused on how qrow and ruby are related.

We in this house don't believe in "cheating" in art, but we do believe in taking shortcuts. Plus it turned out bretty coo.

Got some help with this! perspective is a weak point for me, but felly sketchy Jayjaybase was able to procure a better ref image for me than what I was finding off of google, and it helped a lot for the overall look of the thing.

This was another fun shot to do. Yang waving with her stump is probably my favorite part lol.

Qrow's the kind of character where I always fret if I'll be able to draw him and his tricky hair right, but one way or another he always seems to turn out okay.

It was surprisingly tricky for me to find a good reference image for Qrow's running legs here, luckily posemaniacs came in to save the day.

This was a fun sequence to do, i always like imagining what a person looks like mid-transformation into whatever animal they turn into, the way their body and features must contort. I wonder if I'll get to do more stuff like that in the future?

Lowkey hilarious that Maria didn't have the slightest inkling that Qrow could turn into a bird until this very moment, and her reaction is just "neat!" Perfect note to end that scene on imo lmao

Now on to the last two character designs of the volume!

First up, worst girl, Cinder! There was quite a bit of debate on how to handle Cinder, especially since I personally actually quite liked her canon Atlas outfit, and didn't want to deviate too strongly from it. Overall though, it was decided that she should keep more of her red motif and a lot of the more classy elements from her previous designs. A soft gradient on her cloak helps tie in the colors from her feathers and keeps her legs from disappearing into the cloak. She feels a lot more like a mage here, with us wanting to lean more into her maiden status. As a rule I'm not fond of Cinder, but when you're doing character design, you kinda gotta find a way to sympathize and get in the character's head to find the roots of their personality to design from, and I like to think I was able to find an approachable middle ground with her.

Malachite's new outfit! For realsies this time and not just a cobbling together of her old outfit with her sister's!

Originally back when Malachite reappears and fights with Cinder, she was meant to appear in the casual!outfit shown in this sheet, her hair already cut to its new length. However, for various reasons, the artists for that scene ended up using her vol.5 cobbled design, and the casual!outfit was never used. A shame, I'm so fond of clothes that defy gravitate and look like they're about to fall off xD

But nonetheless! Malachite's Atlas outfit was largely inspired by a particularly eclectic gothic/punk lolita dress that was shared in the server from online, which got some tweaks and adjustments for dressing malachite in. We're dialing up the intensity of Mal's mental schisms here, two brains existing in one person and generally getting along, yet clashing even so. Gave her more simplified hand weapons, as well as increasing the size of her ankle blades to better match the size of her hand-blades. The main idea behind her was for her to be a blender in a cocktail dress lol. Very excited for her to do more stuff in the future of FRWBY!

Kobra Kid!!!! Kobra Kid,,,,, some assorted fun facts:

- He absolutely loves machines and everything about them so he often hangs out at mechs' workshops when he has free time bc he can't really have a shop of his own

- Related to the first one he is fascinated by engraved tattoos on prosthetics. He loves them so much

- Absolutely that one kid that writes on everything. "Kobra wuz here!!!!" is on nearly every building in the Zones and that's only a slight exaggeration.

- All in all,,,, just a lil punk. You get to know him and he will insult you seven ways to sunday but he'll do it in a way that makes you go "oh you asshole (beloved and cherished)"

- Probably the one most motivated to actually Take Down BLi out of the Fab 4

- Thief! A thief, I say! He will steal your clothes! He will steal your tools! He will steal your heart! And he will do it with a shit-eating grin <3

Sprinkling in a bit of my ocs:

- Kobra has set up a system in which he gets most comics people see out and about (at least for a little while), and this means that in particular Lock 'n' Load's crew will be on the lookout for stuff he hasn't seen at places like Deadman's. He didn't do anything to set up this system besides getting really really happy when presented with a new comic book and talking about them constantly.

Like this is the mech that if he were human, would be still pushing against the establishment, still wearing his ripped jeans and purposefully slagged out jacket that he's mucked up himself. Wearing second hand clothing because he refuses to be a part of the machine. Like, yeah- he's fucked up, but he's still gonna fight for what he believes in.]

But I'll do you one better- Megatron isn't just punk, he's grunge. Knows how to sew, so he can keep patching up clothing, not just for him, but for others, probably teaches them to sew, too. He's handing out milk at protests for people pepper sprayed.

He's out there in the masses, talking to people and asking them what needs done, what's wrong and where. Teaching others how to be loud where he can't be.

Mechrogunner: A Headcanon Masterpost

@fudgeroach and I have been cookin’ this ship up for a bit now, and we’ve come up with a bunch of ideas for it that I’m finally ready to post!

Background for context: We both headcanon Moze as a he/him transmasc, so that’s how Moze will be referred to in this post.

So, Gaige and Moze.

How do they meet?

-Pretty simple – at the Wainlock wedding. Moze hasn’t been out just relaxing and having a good time in so long that he stays later than pretty much everyone else. When he’s finally ready to call it a night, he goes up to Hammerlock to let him know. Hammerlock casts a glance over at the bar, where Gaige is practically passed out on the counter by that point, and asks if Moze would be willing to check on her for him. Moze is like “Uhhh...okay...”, not really getting why Hammerlock himself couldn’t just check on her.

Hammerlock, of course, has an agenda, trying to set Gaige up with a friend her own age. He didn’t plan on it going much, much further than that, lol.

Moze sits awkwardly down beside her and is all business, just asking her bluntly if she’s all right. Gaige, flirty drunk that she is, immediately latches on to him, telling him he’s great and that she loves him. Moze internally is like 😳 but acknowledges it’s because she’s drunk. He stays with her for a while, keeping it light, talking about their respective robot BFFs and telling her a couple funny old army stories to keep her awake and with it until she sobers up a little.

Both of them are so lonely that by the end of the night they are definitely both nursing lil crushes, but Moze has thick walls around his heart after what happened to his squad mates, and he’s too traumatized to let anyone in at the moment. When they finally part ways that night, he assumes he’ll never see Gaige again.

Then he gets a text from an unfamiliar number. Turns out Gaige got his number from Hammerlock, and has ““questions about Iron Bear””. (She actually does have questions about Iron Bear because she’s a fucking nerd, but make no mistake, she is definitely interested in both mech AND pilot)

Moze hasn’t been in this kind of position in, well, ever, really. He’s not sure what to do. He really likes talking to Gaige, though – she's stunningly smart, wild and funny as hell. He’s never met a woman like her before. He may not have a clue what she’s talking about half the time, but he sure does love hearing her say it all.

Gaige, on the other hand, is immediately and blatantly smitten with Moze. She tends to develop crushes on pretty much anyone who pays her attention, but Moze was so sweet and gentle with her while she was embarrassingly drunk that Gaige finds herself thinking about him long after they part ways.

The dating stage:

Moze is terrified of opening back up to anybody, so he keeps Gaige at arm’s length even as their texting goes from occasional, to frequent, to most of the day every day. The other Raiders encourage Moze to ask Gaige on a date, but he’s nowhere near ready for that kind of commitment.

When Gaige asks him to bring Iron Bear to her lab-slash-hideout so she can “check him out”, he tells himself and everyone else that it’s just a friend thing.

It’s totally not a friend thing oh God

He’s hanging out in her garage (I imagine Gaige hides out in some craphole abandoned building somewhere and that her garage is also her lab, kitchen, bedroom, etc.), watching her eyes light up as she examines Iron Bear when he realizes he’s in too deep to get out. She pulls a whole-ass little measuring tape out of her hair at one point and he’s like Oh god, you’re adorable and has to bite his tongue to refrain from saying it out loud.

Deathtrap is just watching them, aware that something is up, but he doesn’t know enough about humans to know exactly what it is

The first time Moze feels comfortable enough to show up in something other than his freaking Ursa Corps uniform, he’s a little shy because he’s been chopping at his own hair and feels like a doofus. To his surprise, Gaige lights up and immediately starts complimenting his “punk” hairstyle. She lets her own hair out of the pigtails with a grin, showing that she hacks at her own hair as well. It’s all split ends and uneven layers, and Moze’s heart flutters just a bit as those bright green eyes are suddenly framed by a mess of bouncy orange hair.

While he’s hanging out with Gaige, Moze eventually comes out of his shell enough to start cracking little jokes and feeling a bit more at ease. He hasn’t felt this way since the last night he spent with his squad before Darzaran Bay. Gaige is just so easy to talk to, and she laughs at his jokes and doesn’t pry about his past. He doesn’t pry about hers, either, though he can glean from her current situation that something has clearly gone horribly wrong in her young life.

Gaige is afraid to let anyone into her life, either, since every person who knows her whereabouts is another potential source of danger to her (and to them). She finds herself wondering why this soldier is all alone without a squadron or a battalion or whatever terms the army uses. The faraway look Moze sometimes gets tells her there’s a long and painful story behind it.

It takes a loooooong time, probably close to a year or more, before either of them are ready to admit they’re not just visiting each other as friends multiple times a week. 

They’re sitting outside one evening watching the sunset when Gaige grows uncharacteristically serious. Moze assumes she’s going to confess to some awful crime or something, and his first reaction is “Okay I don’t know what you did but I forgive you and I’ll help you hide the body”. Gaige is like ??? Ok well I did kill somebody in the past but I was actually going to ask if I could kiss you?

Neither of them have ever really had a proper kiss before. They basically end up bonking their faces together like a couple of clueless dorks. It goes on to become a favorite inside joke between them, with the two of them frequently headbutting each other and then having a good, confusing-to-everyone-else laugh about it.

The relationship:

-Moze is self conscious about his height, but it turns out Gaige actually prefers it because then she doesn’t feel like such a shrimp herself. Short couple rights

-Still though, Moze likes to wear his chunkiest combat boots when they’re together together so they’re at least equal size. Eventually Gaige starts wearing her own old combat boots, though, so poor Moze can’t win lol

-They’re not real sappy out in public, but they’re always either holding hands or Moze has an arm loosely around Gaige’s waist (or vice versa which makes Moze go “NOO I’m supposed to be the one doing that!!” And Gaige is like “Muahaha, Feminism Babey >:D”)

-Gaige found out Moze has a corporate tattoo and since then his life has never known peace (she teases him about it relentlessly)

-Moze sends lovey-dovey memes and texts...exclusively in Russian. Forcing Gaige to put them through a translator helps put a little bit of distance between the words and his feelings, so he doesn’t feel quite so vulnerable...

…But then Gaige struggles to learn some basic Russian in secret, and the next time Moze says something corny she can actually understand it and responds in kind. Moze is floored

-Gaige is a ball of repressed horny nerdiness. Moze was never very sexual to begin with, and his trauma has basically turned him completely asexual. While at first Gaige was (inwardly) a bit disappointed, as time goes on she realizes she cares way more about Moze than she cares about getting laid.

She’s still a slut for cuddles, though – and luckily Moze is willing to provide. At first he insists on being the “big spoon” (more like the backpack), but it’s tough to resist being held by a pretty girl who covers you in kisses and takes the time to change into her non-spiked metal arm after that one time she forgot and almost got you in the eye with a spike

-Gaige sleeps in a bed that’s FULL of pillows and blankets and stuffed animals and anything soft and Moze, who is used to sleeping on a barren military cot if not just on the floor, is like “Oh God, I’m drowning”

All you see is his hand reaching desperately out of a pillow pile before it, too, is absorbed and he disappears completely

-Semi-related to the last bit: Gaige sleeps completely sprawled out in her bed while Moze curls up tight, taking up as little space as possible. Occasionally he gets grabbed like a stuffed animal and smushed up against Gaige’s chest in her sleep. He finds he actually likes being held while he sleeps. It helps keep away some of the nightmares.

-When eventually Gaige finds out what happened to Moze, she starts ranting about the military-industrial complex and corporate corruption and Moze is kinda 😥 because he was basically bottle-fed army propaganda since he was born, but it all makes sense, and the military did fuck him over, and maybe there’s so much more to this than he even realized…

-Finding out Gaige’s backstory, Moze is like “Psh, Marcie Halloway sounds like a cunt. I would’ve killed her ass, too.”

-Moze never allows anyone else to even look inside Iron Bear’s pilot seat because of all his private belongings (ie the photos and mementos he keeps of his old squad mates). Gaige never outright asks because she knows it’s personal, but one day Moze asks if she'd like to have a look inside and see if there’s any cool stuff she would want to build into Bear. Gaige realizes that’s a huge step in their relationship because of how much trust it requires on Moze’s part, and she is like !!! “Yes of COURSE”

-[Gaige voice] So when am I gonna get to be Mrs. Gaige Hayussinian Yan-Lun Al-Amir Andreyevna?

-Both of them will eat anything, so romantic dinners can consist of anything from actual gourmet food to “Want a bite of my fried ratch?” “Um, obviously?? Gimme-“

-Perks of dating someone your own size: You can easily wear each other’s clothes. Cue Moze showing up to Sanctuary in a spiked leather jacket with patches shittily ironed on all over it, and Gaige keeping warm in an Ursa Corps bomber jacket (that she covers with patches and stickers to hide the Vladof advertising)

-Gaige operating Moze’s Dakka Bear turret, wildly spraying bullets and screaming catch phrases while Moze is in the pilot seat like 🥰 You’re wasting all my ammo but god I love you

-Moze jumping into combat: All right, let’s do this shit *puts on his helmet with pink skulls and hearts and PROPERTY OF GAIGE 💜 spray painted all over it*

-Gaige is still worried about being caught by the cops, which can make dates a little difficult, but she’s admittedly a little more at ease now that she travels with a fifteen-ton mech and his dashing pilot.

➽ B I O G R A P H Y  Born in Rabanstre in the deserts of Dalmasca he found his way as a small fighter scraping with the neighborhood kids. His family being poor he was under-dressed, under-fed, and under-educated. He was a scrapper, a fighter, a punk. Being petite in size, and having a loud mouth his troubles with Bangaa came hand in hand.  By the age of thirteen, he had taken up trade as a thief and a good one at that, soon becoming wanted, his family was killed at fifteen after he stole weapons from the imperial army after their first invasion. Imperial soldiers cutting him at the source he soon lost hope, with his mother and father horrifically killed. Shortly after he fled Rabanstre and headed to the Jagd Yensa, and made his way for the next five years with a native people, who at first took not so kindly to his intrusion but after time he learned how to wield a mech-gun, though he was a good shot, he found his favorite weapon was blunt weapons. At age twenty he convinced his new clan to take Rabanstre, the reclaim being rather unsuccessful as they all but died in the conflict before reaching the inner sanctum, and with Skye barely leaving with his life is now covered in scars from his self-brought war to reclaim his home.  At twenty-two he had made his way to Eorzea to find a new ‘army’ but with no luck he travels through Thanalan, and is a refugee outside of Ul’dah accumulated to hot weather finding comfort in the hot sand.  Now at twenty-three he is a member of the Pugulist Guild in Ul’dah and a strong fighter, though confrontional, and stand-offish, he is well respected in his small circle and unknown to the outside world. Waiting until the day he can go home.

Inktober 52 Week 19 - ‘Praying Mantis’

So I used this opportunity to develop her more. I initially wanted her punky but I’ve sort of made her into a 90′s raver. Wearing very much cyberdog clothing. lol

Borderlands 3 - Breakdown Mega Thread.

Well holy shit guys. We got a teaser trailer full of good things, now we’ve got a full blown Borderlands 3 trailer. And there is certainly some things to unpack. We’re left pretty clueless as to what the majority of the story will be like, but we’re given enough to know what some of the driving points of the game will be. If you want to avoid spoilers quit now, I’m going to do my best to connect some dots. This is an initial reaction / speculation thread. Once again. Some of this is pretty surface level, other parts are pure speculation. 

Here’s what I touch on:

7 years between BL2 and BL3?

*just an fyi, if I put a “ ~ “ it means I’m not sure about the information.

So we have our Vault Hunters.

First up is ~Amara the Siren. Other than the fact that we see her spouting six glowing arms, we’re not all to sure what her siren abilities are. During one of the “montage” sequences in the trailer we do get a single first-person shot of a siren using Phase Lock on an enemy. Seeing as we were not going to be playing as Maya, I’d say ~Amara has several Phase abilities.

Next is Flak, the android Beast Mast / Hunter class. The full extent of his abilities are unknown with the rest of the Vault Hunters but as his class name suggests, he seems to control / have an array of pets to assist in battle. Something notable about his pets is that they seem to sport some mechanical enhancements (image 2). The other notable thing about Flak is that at one point he’s firing a gun and there seems to be an aura growing around him (image 3). Presumably it’s an aura that damages nearby enemies, and maybe giving buffs to allies. I’m fairly certain this is going to be the class I start as.

And now we have Moze the Bot Jock. Her ability seems to be centered around calling in a Mech / Titan / Bot of some kind to assist in battle. Taking it a step further than Mordecai, Gaige, and Wilhelm who could summon assistance in battle, Moze’s ally seems to be an ally that she can ride / control by not only herself, but by her allies as well (image 3). Of the four new Vault Hunters, I suspect Moze is going to be the tankiest.

And last among our new Vault Hunter’s is Zane the Operative. His ability seems to be similar to that of Zero and Timothy (Jack’s body double) in utilizing a device that conjures a holographic clone of himself, most likely to draw the fire of enemies rather than taking it himself. My best guess for Zane is that he’s our sniper class, and relies on tactical approaches to combat. Judging by clothes, he seems to be wealthy. Wealthy enough to afford a holographic-cloning device.

Now this is where I get really excited. I think a number of us were waiting see if Lilith would be an antagonist or an anti-hero in this game, and while this remains unknown she is certainly going to play a big part of this game and will carry a significant amount of focus from the antagonists.

I think the biggest takeaway from our two antagonists is that the female is a siren! Take a look at those glowing tattoos in the first image above and this second one we only got a single frame of in a “montage sequence”. So these two seem to be at the head of a cult-like movement / organization called The Children of the Vault, which was alluded to in the Battleborn easter egg. What the purpose or beliefs of this cult is I’m not too sure yet. But they do seem to have a fixation on the Vault Symbol upside down. 

This is where it gets real interesting. Let’s take a look at a couple images of Lilith:

With these first two images everything seems to be fairly normal. Lilith does seem to be alone but that isn’t so surprising judging by the end of TPS. She had some different views and has probably ventured out on her own some to explore herself. Now it gets scary. It seems like the new Antagonist Siren has the ability to strip away the powers of other Sirens AND gift them to someone else, even if they’re male! Check this out.

Below we see Lilith crawling towards a Vault Key. The significance is unknown, but could it be the “key” to an extraordinary power like stripping a Siren’s powers? Notice Lilith’s tattoos are gone both on her arm and chest.

So knowing now that Lilith’s powers have been stripped away, watch the interaction between our two antagonists in the background. When they clasp arms an energy seems to transfer between the two, leaving the male with glowing tattoos! It seems like Lilith’s powers have been stripped away and gifted to a male!

We know in Borderlands lore that only six Sirens can exist at any given point in time, and that they are female. Well our male certainly didn’t come about the powers in the “natural” way, but it seems like we’re going to be dealing with two Siren antagonists.

So now we know out antagonists are certainly a pair to be reckoned with. Can they take away the powers of more than one Siren, making themselves even more powerful? I suspect we will get into this as we are reintroduced to Maya alongside a new addition to Borderlands. 

Is this Maya’s daughter? Neophyte? Someone who became a Siren after the passing of Angel in BL2? Well we don’t know. But we will soon! If she is a Siren as I suspect she is, then our Antagonists will not only have their eyes on Maya but this young ~girl as well.

In the “Mask of Mayhem” there is an image of a character model passing a book to a small child, I assumed they were Sirens as the Siren class mod is a book. Here is the image below.

I’m going to take that image as further proof that this young one is indeed a Siren that Maya is either passing the mantle to, or at least teaching her the ropes.

But now that brings into question the character model that I believe is the “counter-part” to our young Siren: this individual below.

Is this individual also a Siren, but one already under the control of the Antagonists? Again. Speculation...

Onto some less serious topics and giving some first impressions!

Below we have Rhys standing with Zero! It’s nice to see these two decided to stick together for a bit. As the head of Atlas, it looks like Rhys has reinstated the Crimson Lance to some degree. It also looks as though his mechanical arm has a couple of bugs...

Also notable is his mustache. Now this gets into a topic matter that I’ve seen rumored, a nd that’s that BL3 takes place roughly 7 years after BL2. That could explain why Rhys is in a secure enough position to pay a Vault Hunter (Zer0) to be his body guard AND reinstate a small army.

Further backing this 7 year theory is Maya and the young girl. If a small child came into a Siren’s power after the passing of Angel she could have been only a couple years old and would now reach the age she is standing next to Maya. This also explains Maya’s very long hair.

Another factor is Tiny Tina’s age! She’s not so tiny anymore.

If it’s been 7 years, that would make Tina around 20 years old in the above image. After the passing of Roland, and Lilith leaving (presumably) it seems like Brick and Mordecai took Tina under their wing to raise her as a Vault Hunter in training! She certainly looks the part with grenades strapped to her forearm.

My last point on this “7 year theory” is that if I’m remembering correctly, in Borderlands lore the seasonal cycle of Pandora is roughly this: 1 Pandora cycle = 6 or 7 Earth cycles. This is why Pandora is so desolate. The DAHL corp shipped prisoners to Pandora as a labor force to build the beginnings of a civilization and begin mining. When they arrived most of the wildlife was hibernating so they got a pretty good start on their construction, but eventually the wildlife woke up. And began killing everyone. 

DAHL pulled out and left the prisoners. And so the birth of Bandit camps full of Psychos and the rest making up the majority of what we’ve seen of Pandora with only a few hubs of “civilization”. Introduce rumors of an alien Vault, hello Vault Hunters.

If Gearbox picked up the story with only 1 or 2 years between games we’re starting to shy pretty close to a season change. Rather than re-introduce this and reminding everyone of these minute details, just fast forward a bit and age everyone accordingly.

And a... Pyro-Bandit? Pyro-Psycho? Either way he’s angry, got a couple screws loose, and wielding a flamethrower probably built by Elon Musk.

And that does it! I really wanted to give some first impressions of our Vault Hunters and out Antagonists, as well as the big deal. The fact that Lilith seems to have lost her powers... the rest will be in smaller posts or I’ll reblog this add more under the cut!
