☕👀Messy Tarot: Who wishes they could be you?

Ever wondered if you had your very own Stan? Well, now you get to know that and more for the very low price of "picking a picture and scrolling down to your pileee" *cue Price is Right song*

Left to right as per us. See you at your pile. May the odds ever be in your favor (aka I hope it resonates lol).

I am using multiple decks so I won't be listing the cards like usual.

Pile 1

Off the bat: You may be aware of this person already. For some of you it is a blonde woman or man. They feel a little shady like they aren't fully trustworthy. Like the kind of person to be secretly competing with you and trying to sabotage you. You could work or go to school together.

Who wishes they could be you?

I am getting a lot of masculine energy from the first few cards I've pulled. I'm saying this because I pulled the King of Wands, the King of Swords is a few cards under the bottom of the deck, and a lot of the other cards have guys on them.

This person feels kind of bitter. This could be a scorned lover of some kind like either your ex or the person you are with's ex. I also think this person could have a bit of a temper or be quite defensive and have a fragile ego. You may have had an argument with them. I'm already getting some of the "why" but I'm still trying to describe who they are lol.

This is so weird lol. Like...the question is who wishes they could be you, not be with you, and yet I'm getting heavy ex energy. If this isn't an ex, this is someone that feels rejected by you in some way. Do people really date and person and wish to be them? I've never heard of that but I have heard of partner's who are jealous of the other partner's success and other things.

For some of you, this could be someone that envies your dating life. So in some way, they would be aware of what is going on in your love life. You could be confiding in them or they could be in a position that allows them to "eavesdrop." For example, they could be in the next cubicle over and listen when you and a coworker gossip, they could follow your social media, or they could be part of your friend group.

Finally, this could be someone that is either actively trying to get you to reconcile with them or they are trying to manifest that. They really want to reach out to you and if they haven't, its because of their stubbornness.

Why?...

I pulled some cards from a nontarot deck I got from amazon and 💀.

I don't know why that one is sending me but it was on the bottom of the deck and I just could not. Like what did y'all do to this person. They feel salty and scorned af lol. Cause wtf kind of question is that. Or on the other hand, this could be what they tried to do with you. I did pull the King of Wands which can be a manipulative, man hoeish type.

So when I mentioned that I was already getting a "why," this is kind of what I was picking up on. These cards are repeating it more clearly. One, I still think this person envies how you are able to date and move about socially. You could be outspoken and passionate and they wish they were that bold. Also, if this is an ex, its not so much that they want to be you, its more like they want to be in control of you. Like say they did propose some bs like the above, "hey babe, why don't you be monogamous with me, while I run the streets?😃" You may have peaced out and now they wish they could get inside your head and be able to influence your decisions. Think of like transformers or something, where you can just hop in a robot and move it around. For the record, I think this is fucked. No one should be anyone's puppet so if you recognize this person, you def made the right choice when you rejected them.

For others, you could be really good with animals and envy that. Say you are a vet or volunteer and a shelter and you seem to just be such a natural. I'm definitely picking up the energy of somebody that envies your work ethic and material success. I also keep hearing "you're solid." So you could have a pretty stable life in some way. Maybe a good family background, a supportive social circle, and financial security. I think even if you did fall on hard times, you would bounce back. This person wishes they had the same. You may also travel a lot. They really admire that. I think this person really just wants your life. This particular energy doesn't feel as malicious, more kind of sad. Its this kind of vibe:

Last but not least, I am also getting that they want to be like you because of how much you love yourself. You have strong boundaries and self-respect. Other people probably respect you as well. You are confident and you choose happiness and peace.

TL;DR: This could be a salty ex, someone that feels rejected by you, or a person that is observing your life/love life. The ex or rejected person is a control freak that wants to "be" you just so they can turn you into a yesman. They want to be able to control your decision making. The other people envy your life, your success, and your self love. From the outside, it seems like you have all the things most people dream of.

Pile 2

Off the bat: Either you or this person could be a busy bee. You are always on the go with a ton of things on your to-do list. Some of you could be this jumpy and hyperactive because of a mental illness, specifically I'm getting OCD, anxiety, or ADD/ADHD. This could be someone that is uptight and tends to be very curt when you speak to them. They could hold a high position like an executive director, principal, or supervisor. For others, this is younger person, may adolescent up to early 20s.

And this is so weird but for some of you...this could literally be your therapist or possibly your client.

Who wishes they could be you?

This could be someone who, in some way, is on the opposite side of whatever your current life experience is. Specifically, they could be experiencing a breakup or divorce while you are still in a relationship or you are happily single. If they are single, I don't think they are happy like that. They could be quite standoffish.

I feel the last piles energy coming through and uh uh lol nope.

But speaking of the last pile, this could be that one energy I was getting of someone that is observing their love life. It feels like that. Maybe this person has a partner that does not respect them or their boundaries.

For some of you this episode of Bob's Burgers could be significant. Gene dresses up as Bob, after Linda compares the two of them. He has a "mid-childhood crisis." He worries about turning into his dad. So for some of you this could be someone that is under you in some way and expected to "become" you. So it could be a person that gets compared to you often, your child or younger sibling, a more junior colleague.

This person could have gone through some kind of loss or betrayal recently. For a very small amount of you, they think you took their person or they were trying to do that to you.

Why?...

This mistress story line is popping back up. So this person could want to be you in order to have whoever your with. Whether they are the current or ex partner or they are a wannabe third party.

This could also be someone that feels like you have the affection of some that hates them. I think they may need to work on their self-esteem because why would you seek approval from a person who isn't nice to you. So they could be kind of broken and need to work on themselves. They could wish they had your luck or your ability to move on and be resilient.

This person could feel like you are more interesting and that you live a more interesting life. Some of them envy your youth, because they feel like you have more options that they do. This could be talking about love but it could also talk about opportunities. Going back to the executive energy that came through. Say you are a young professional so maybe you recently graduated from college or grad school. You start a new company. This would be a higher up that could feel kind of complacent in their position, have a marriage that is falling apart, and they look at you as having less that is holding you back. You could easily up and leave this job, you may even be able to choose a whole new career path without greatly upsetting your life. They could see a lot of people flirting with you or just generally flocking to you.

This person tries not to compare themselves to you but they can't help it. I think they are just in a bad place in their life and look at you wistfully and imagine how much better it must be. They could say positive affirmations and try to build themselves up. They may even attend counseling. They could bring you up a lot.

TL;DR: This is someone who is going through a rough patch in their life and looks at you life and imagines that it is much better than theirs. People like you better, you have more opportunities, you have more freedom. Its like you are living an alternate reality from their perspective. I do think they are working on healing themselves but they still have a long way to go. They try not to sabotage their process by comparing themselves to you but they can't help.

Pile 3

Off the bat: Ooo this much lighter energy than the previous piles. I immediately got a goofball/class clown energy. This person could also be a stoner. I am getting boyish energy like a tomboy, an adolescent male, or a childhood friend. Some of you may have rode bikes with this person before. So maybe you grew up on the same street or your parents were friends. Could also be a cousin. I'm just feeling happier and happier, like I smoked but I didn't lol so I know its not me. So they could make you happy or you could make each other happy. They could come have a sad family history

Who wishes they could be you?

So you may have had to cut this person off. You may have grown up together but gone down two different paths in life and you drifted apart. I think they envy your family life or something about your foundation. They could seem to be unlucky. They could get into a lot of legal trouble. They could struggle with some form of addiction or mental illness.

You could know them to always be in the center of some kind of drama. They could instigate fights or be someone that has a hard time walking away from an argument. The sort of person who can't ignore when someone brushes past them in the club. They can't just let it go, they have to confront the person. It doesn't matter whether it was intentional or just because its packed.

They are not respectful and could have a sharp, critical tongue. You may not trust them. People could find them untrustworthy. They may not even trust themselves tbh. For others, this person isn't that toxic. They may have made bad decision but they are trying to get back on their feet. People may have given up on them but I don't think they wanted it to be that way. They may struggle with maintaining progress.

I do think this could be family. You could have them on Facebook. Specifically, I am getting father, grandfather, a mother (so doesn't have to be your mom but they have kids), a female cousin. They could have gone away for some time to get better. For example, going on a social media detox, going to rehab, going to a women's shelter. If this is father figure or patriarch, they are quite overbearing. Probably more traditional and chauvinistic. If this is a female cousin, this person could have to deal with a rigid, or traditional family or society.

Why?...

I'm hearing songs from the Little Mermaid. So I don't every one of these people have bad feelings towards you. I think they just think you have more freedom and fun than them. I am specifically getting for some of you, you could be of South Asian descent. You or your family may have relocated to a North American or European country. This could be a family member that has you on social media. They could see you doing things that they are not allowed to do where they are. If you don't resonate with some of your family being overseas, this could be that your cousins parents are strict but your parents are more lax.

You may have already figured this out because of the last pile, but this person could wish their lives were on track like yours. They could wish they had made better choices when they were younger, or sometime in the past, so they could be a different person now.

This person really admires you. They find you fearless and unstoppable. If you did struggle with something like an addiction, eating disorder, or something else, you may overcame it. This could also be someone that you are "sponsoring," I think that's what its called. You know how in support groups, you take someone new under your wing?

They could think you are really beautiful inside out. If you post pictures, you always look good. You always seem to be glowing. You have a definite lust for life. Word to Lana

TL;DR: This could be someone you grew up with or a family member. This could be friend that has faced a lot of challenges. This could be a family member who has to deal with much more restrictive societal expectations. This person mostly feels like they really admire you. You are a forced to be reckoned with. You are everything they wish they could be. They want to be able to overcome challenges and be powerful like you. They also think you are gorgeous and have the best social media page.

Pile 4

Off the bat: I felt the need to play the Bing Bong remix with Sexyy Red. So I feel like this person be a little ratchet lol. Or they could be a rapper or musician of some kind. If this isn't them, it could be describing you. They could be a stripper, camgirl or city girl type. I do think this person is fun too. They have a quiet strength to them. This could also be someone's baby momma.

Who wishes they could be you?

This could be multiple feminine energies or women. Its reminding me of this messyyy ass situation I was in irl lolz. So you could be have been with someone that was a player. You may or may not have known that about them. I guess some of you could still be with this person. I don't think its them that wishes they were you. I think its the people they were talking to simultaneously that wish they were you.

There is one person who is coming through stronger than the others. There could be a specific ex that you know does not like you. They could have wanted to built something with this person.

I think this is a person who works in some kind of piscean sort of field. They are selling dreams/fantasies in some way. They could be a fashion designer or artists. They could be some kind of sex worker. They could work in nightlife as a promoter or bartender. They could sell goodies bags *wink wink*.

They could have involvement with the law or be going through a custody battle. You could have exchanged words through text or over social media. You may not be speaking right now. They may have tried to contact you or they want to extend an olive branch. I'm not sure why I am picking up on attraction. It does feel like a feminine energy. If you are a girl then this would be a girl that's high key obsessed with you and doesn't know if they want to be you or be with you.

Why?...

For those of you who were resonating with the baby mama drama storyline, they think if they were you, then they could have their family back. Like that would be the cheatcode for fixing the third party situation. I'm not sure if it even is a true third party situation anymore or if it ever was. Your partner could have totally moved on from them and this person won't fully grieve the ending of their relationship. So its definitely giving delulu...

For the people resonating with the same sex story line, may not realize that they are attracted to you. Even if they do, they may be trying to keep that to themselves. They think you are cool. It feels like a combination of admiration and infatuation. Some of them wish they could have your life. Not in a creepy way, unless you know this person is weird. But its more like, they would like to be "cookie cutter" perfect. They mean that in the best way. They want to be conventionally attractive, have a perfect family, have a socially acceptable sexuality, be talented and well liked. You may not interact with this person much because, one, it feels like they kind of blend into the background or like they are on the periphery of your social circle. Two, no one's life is picture perfect like this. Unless they are just someone who struggles with idolizing people, they must not be close enough to you to see the flaws.

On the flipside, you could be viewing someone else like this. You could think they have it all together but really they wish they could stop caring about the shackles that bind them. They want to be free and to explore something else.

This person also wishes they were you because they think you are more loveable than them. If they were you they would feel more worthy and deserving of love. Especially, unconditional love. So they may struggle to forgive themselves for past decisions. Being you would give them a clean slate.

TL;DR: This could be your current or past partner's ex. They may have had children together. This person could work in nightlife, sex work, or something that you don't exactly report on your taxes iykwim. They could also be an artist of some kind. Lastly, they may be someone who is observing your life. They aren't close enough to you to see the imperfections. So they have a much more idealized view of who you are. They believe that being you would allow them to have a clean slate and the perfect life.

Pile 5

Off the bat: You could have a lot of self-discipline. This could be someone that lacks that. This could be a previous workout buddy or accountability partner of some sort. You could be in college or have known them in college. Winter could be a significant season. Someone's name could be Jason. If you play sports this could be someone else that plays sports, they could be on a rival team also.

Who wishes they could be you?

There could be something notable about the way this person smells. They could be toxic or attracted to toxic people. They could be obsessed with gaining approval from the opposite sex. So maybe you know them to be kind of a pickme, a simp, or a little thirsty. If this is a girl, she could be insecure and view other women as competitors.

This person probably uses unhealthy coping mechanisms to process their emotions. They could be a cheerleader or someone who tries to come across bubbly. They feel like they have to earn love. Again, I don't think they choose the healthiest partnerships. They could care a lot about their outer appearance. So, they could be kind of vain or hypercritical.

I think this person is apart of your social group. I think you know this person and may interact with them often. They kind of give me mean girl vibes. They could have been cut off by you or others for playing dirty. They could throw people under the bus, "steal" boyfriends, and/or say nasty things about others. Even if this is a guy, they could behave in a similar manner. Whoever they are, they are not all the way trustworthy. I wouldn't trust them at all just going off this energy.

I'm also being reminded of this girl I went to high school with. She had the same vibe. Kind of vain, a mean girl, always talking to a guy. I always felt like there was something off about her but she was "popular," so everyone was kind of dismissive about that. Well, later, my sister ends up befriending her sister and I find out that she is actually a diagnosed sociopath... So yeah, maybe that resonates. She also was bipolar. So this person could possibly struggle with their mental health and/or their ability to empathize with others.

Why?...

I think they respect you as a "competitor." You know what they say, if you can't beat 'em join 'em. But its more like, you join them. If they could get you to join their clique and be a follower of theirs, it would make them so happy. It would really validate them. It kind of reminds me of one of the other piles. That person did not necessarily want to be that person, they wanted to be in control of them. I'm kind of getting the same vibe here. If they could get in your head, they could either take credit for your successes or they could get you to self-sabotage. Like they are kind of plotting on you.

There could be something about them wanting your romantic option(s). If there was some kind of drama, you may have come out on the winning side. This person really feels like they don't like you. They envy the things you have and see becoming you as a shortcut. They could even consider adopting some of your traits. If they are trying to get into your good graces, I think they may actually be trying to get at your partner.

You could have more opportunities in life than this person. Or they think you have better opportunities. Like they may have a "grass is greener on the other side" view of your life. For some of you this person may have no real reason to envy your life, they just aren't grateful for what they have. For others, they don't want to work to achieve those things (going back to the former accountability partner). They also think you have more people that love you for you. You are a trendsetter.

TL;DR: This could be someone that is a mean girl type. They could be a former gym buddy or accountability partner. They could also be an athlete or a player on a rival team. This person chases approval of the opposite gender and may be willing to betray others to get it. They envy the opportunities you have in life and love. They could want your partner. They wish people loved them, the way they love you.

The next reading I'll post will be the last one on the poll, "Toxicity: What would have happened if you stayed?" That reading will be great for anyone that is second guessing walking away from a situation.

Legend of Zelda, for sure ( and, I'm only SLIGHTLY biased since I've been in this particular roleplay fandom for over a decade ). Outside of my usual, cliche answer, the Genshin Impact and Sonic the Hedgehog fandoms have been an absolute treat, as well. Everyone's accepting of duplicates, individual interpretations . . . you could have the basic of the BASICS in terms of graphics, or you could be THE Photoshop Guru with trophies and certificates and ribbons, but either way, you're accepted, and I love that.

Certain parts of it, I agree with. Reblog from the source if you're not going to send something in. Nothing more annoying than getting a handful of notifications and getting EXCITED at the prospect of a thread response or a potential new roleplay partner, only to see that someone went through my meme tag and went Black Friday shopping. If you don't want to send a meme in, just reblog it from the source! Nobody's going to ( rather, nobody SHOULD ) hold it against you. That's all, though. I'm not gonna get upset, per-se, if someone takes one or two memes from me and doesn't send anything in. Just keep it limited to a reasonable amount.

It has changed a LOT. It feels like everything is based on how pretty a blog looks, or how many colors people can shove into their thread replies. It's only half about the writing, and, I mean, I get it, to an extent. I've pulled up blogs and gone ' WOW, GORGEOUS ' before, and I, personally, like for my blog to look clean and nice, too, despite my minimal graphic arts experience, but . . . I remember when people had 100x100 sized icons, container blogs weren't a thing ( which, I DO love a good container blog, so that was a trend I actually dipped into myself ), and the most formatting one did was a lil small text, here and there, some bold . . . ya might italicize something.

We were just there to write and be silly. There wasn't so much pressure to make every little thing look like a graphic arts masterpiece.

yeah i downloaded this yesterday and i was just DREADING it so i put it off as long as it took for me to feel bad that my tumblr queue is empty. deadly duo? no thank you

even though i have next to no idea what this episode is about, i'm kinda smug that this was the least-watched episode of the season so far (via wikipedia), 1.57 million vs the 1.7m~ average this season, and will probably remain the least-watched episode given we’re nearing the end of the season

things i don’t care about that i’m expecting to happen: reversing/erasing mick’s character development with only the slightest hint to previous episodes, no cas, no characters of colour (or alternately, characters of colour who die or have something else horrible happen to them), lady characters with little to no personality and a weird inclination to rape or kill people, consent issues in general, logic fails, a wonky plotline that makes no sense and fucks up all the work better writers have done all season - and indeed, throughout the entire 12 seasons of the show

(in case you’re new here, i don’t like these writers one bit, and i’m forever bitter that they still write their garbage for an otherwise okay/good show, and, most importantly, never seem to attempt to improve. i give them the benefit of the doubt every episode and they always let me down. i, like many people, have stopped expecting things.)

aside from the occasional use of the b-word and a lack of characters of colour, this show is otherwise fine - and has at least improved with the misogyny and representation in recent years. but i’m pretty sure a majority of the really shitty racist rapey misogynist stuff in this show has the deadly duo’s names on it. they keep writing things that erase other people’s better ideas and change the course of the story, and alter the overall feel of it, and since their episodes irrevocably become part of the canon, their writing never stops affecting the show negatively.

i get it, i get why this episode was the way it was, with mick and ketch and whatever

i dunno. there’s always these episodes that make me think “elmie, why are you watching this show again? there’s nothing in its contents that makes you happy or furthers your education or even interests you slightly”

but then i remember how much i like the other episodes by other writers

the problem is that when these people write something it brings everyone else down, and brings the whole show down

when i don’t enjoy an episode’s plot points, it’s solely because it wasn’t written well enough. it’s possible to watch a character you’re emotionally attached to die and say “ooh that was good watching” (i.e. “death’s door” with bobby)

yeah, some stuff happened that i didn’t like, but it’s the context of These Writers Being The Ones Who Wrote It that makes it dissatisfying. like, sure, important plot points. but it could’ve been so much better.

4/10, didn’t give a crap about anything except mick, eileen and kelly, and then mick was dead, eileen was written as a plot device for the men (i like that she was soft and emotional though, i never see myself in always-badass women), and kelly just got tossed around and told she’s gonna die because of her decision to keep the baby, and therefore her ability to choose her own fate was erased henceforth

TDC Cuddle Headcanons

Send me more asks if you want more of these for a certain theme.

All three queens were/are/will be cuddlers.

Kat when she was younger because she got used to Mirabella and Arsinoe protecting her in the Black Cottage

Mirabella always (except for that phase where she was edgy bc the Rolanth motherfuckers locked her in a basement. I’m still salty)

And Arsinoe, I imagine later. Billy is completely fine with it at all times except in summer when their bed is way too hot for cuddling.

Jules is not a cuddler, unless it is with Camden because as much as Jules can rough around with Camden, Camden is still a cougar and you don’t fuck with those things.

Emilia is also not a cuddler (she’s not a cuddly person in general so this isn’t a surprise)

Bree and Elizabeth are def cuddlers and you can fight me on it (they’re besties with Mira, what do we expect?)

 Trashcan Joseph Sandrin is a cuddler but he doesn’t get cuddles cause he’s a douche and we do not stan

Billy is 100% a cuddler. Homeboy is affectionate af and we love him for it.

Oddly, I think Pietyr is a cuddler (or was a cuddler... too soon?) which had Kat shook at first but she was definitely down for it.

For the relationships;

Mirabella, Bree and Elizabeth sleep squished together but not spooning. 

Usually Mirabella is in the middle and the other two sleep on her arms. It makes her feel safe

Kat and Pietyr always slept facing each other

Kat is so tiny compared to Pietyr so not uncommon for him to tuck her under his chin as they sleep. He likesd protecting her (again, too soon?)

Arsinoe sleeps on top of Billy

If she doesn’t start that way, she rolls onto his chest in her sleep and wraps her arms and legs around him like a kraken (she’s a nightmare when he has to get up earlier than her). The feeling of him breathing is greatly comforting to her after a life of trauma. 

Jules and Emilia don’t cuddle per say, but they are always connected in their sleep 

It’s hard to sleep cuddled when your girlfriend makes you share a bed with both her and her cougar so Emilia is truly drawing the short straw

But they do stay connected, whether it be their hands clasped gently or their legs intertwined, but that suits both them and Camden just fine.

1. Who is your favorite side character in your WIP?

Doctor Josias Creap. 

2. What was the biggest setback you’ve ever experienced writing your WIP?

Working on it at all :D 

But I’d say, when I made the short film for it back in college, I bit off more than I could chew, had much of my team flake out on me, and ended up taking an extra year to finish animating it and graduate, so that was a big setback too. Perhaps also, getting my damn playlist to actually play on this blog!

3. What genres and sub-genres would you classify your WIP as?

A western and a ghost story.

4. If someone accused you of plagiarizing elements from other authors (example– your villain talks to his pet snake, just like Voldemort from Harry Potter!) what would be their first accusation?

Maybe stuff from Death Note?

5. What scenes are harder to write than others?

The ones that make the plot go!

6. How long have you been working on this particular WIP?

lmao since partway through college, so I’m gonna say 13 years. Maybe 14...

7. Describe the setting of your WIP.

It’s the old west but probably not Earth? It’s also been there a while, not like the relatively brief time the actual wild west existed. It’s sort of an eternal mythic west. Also it’s haunted af. There’s a thinning, like a wrapping of linen grown brittle in the sun, and there’s something in the shadows behind the bleached, blinding world. Something’s gone wrong with death, and there’s ghosts to be wrangled. People who deal with these shades are powerful, mysterious, and generally not to be trusted. They’ve stepped where they never should have and they bring the dust of it in on their boots.

8. Which character is most like you? Probably Dr. Creap? He’s a nerd. But maybe also Deacon and No Name because they’re salty.

9. Which character is least like you? Jericho Gage. He’s way too responsible intense and relentless for me. I’d get bored being a bounty hunter and go do something else XD

If you could be transferred to the world of your WIP, what role would you want to play? (Occupation, residence, spouse, etc.) I would want to have a ranch with some cottonwood trees down by some water. Not too close to the house though, because water can bring all kinds of things. The melancholy on my ranch would be softer and less harsh than elsewhere. It would have the vibe of a save room in Resident Evil. Peaceful but you can’t stay long. You have to face what’s out there.

11. What would a film producer be most likely to get wrong about your WIP?

They’d probably reveal the ghosts too soon, make it too actiony and not atmospheric enough, and have bad CGI. Let it be known that practical effects are the way to go for this story. Ideally it would shot on film with some grain to it, but I won’t drag us all down the road of me nerding out about film. Also I hope they wouldn’t make No Name too girl powery. Yes she’s a woman, and yes she’s a badass. But she’s also a jerk and it needs to be clear that’s a flaw. People react badly to her and she largely deserves it. She (usually) does the right thing in the end but it’s often begrudgingly or out of a sense of not even duty, more like it’s just gotta be done. Often she barely survives by the skin of her teeth, despite her skills.

18. A random headcanon

Ah, I have so many at this point,lol. A lot of them really kind of spring up in the process of writing fic, andwhat I think makes sense and carries weight for that story so *shrugs*

There are some things I more or lessaccept as permanent facets of the characters, hmm:

Things about how Jounouchi’sgang life with Hirutani went, and how it ended. And how Jounouchi feels aboutthat, and how Honda helped and encouraged him in this huge way that Jounouchi couldn’t even acknowledge at the time and still struggles with acknowledging during canon. Experimental sexual encounter with Honda inmiddle school is also one of a few things about Jounouchi’s sexual history that’skind of permanently burned into my brain at this point as something that definitely happened.

Things about how Seto’s relationshipwith Gouzaburou went. I guess you could say I’ve crafted headcanons about how andfor what purpose Gouzaburou intended to mold Seto, and how and where heundermined his own motivations, but still ultimately succeeded. heh, I keepimagining Gouzaburou sitting on a recliner in hell, watching Seto build andopen Death-T and just shaking his head with such disdain. “What is all this? A death theme park? How is this going to monetiseproperly? How is this going to sustain Kaiba Corp? Seto. Seto. Papa taught youbetter than this~”And Seto’s just like, “fuckyou, I can build a death theme park and wear belts on my arms and piss awayyour whole estate and die penniless in a ditch if I want to – you can’t stopme.”Caught between a rock and a hard place, Seto. If you succeed at lifeand work you’ll only be doing what your abuser wants, but if you fail you’llonly be miserable. It’s your choice, with only your life on the line here :v

And, I guess Yami Malik not beinggone from Malik’s psyche post-canon is a headcanon? going from what canon’s seemingintent is in how it presents the end of Battle City, I think we’re meant to thinkthat Yami Malik is and Malik’s hateful feelings are gone(?) But I’m not surehow seriously anyone takes that? idk, I certainly don’t take it seriously.

None of these are fun headcanons,lol. idk, it can be a headcanon that Mai comes into town and treats everyone todim sum, right? Just imagine the whole gang eating dim sum. Imagine Jounouchiand Honda and Shizuka having a chopstick battle over the last shrimp dumpling.And then continuing to fight, over the gai lan this time, even though Honda doesn’t even like it.

31. Favorite duel

Isis vs Seto. It’s just… socathartic, omg. I have so many feelings about what this duel meant for both thecharacters. I like how it really ricochets through Seto’s fears and hubris anddownfall and resurrection, against Isis’s stony and completely assuredconfidence that they are utterly powerless. And how Seto ultimately believes inthe power of something more personal and connecting than just raw strength, andhow that becomes the power to decide your own destiny. It’s just- very good.

The Atem vs Seto duel from Duellist Kingdom, and the Atem vs Mai duel are second and third runners up.

23. NOTP

Ah, I still don’t really think I have any? I have prettynarrow preferences regarding a number of ships, but there’s not really anythingI think in abstract I’m really never up for seeing some portrayal of? In termsof ships I see regularly enough on trips around tumblr and fanfic land that I’mkind of full of mixed feelings on… the rest is under the cut:

I can’t say I find myself super interested in Atem/Yuugi. I don’t reallyunderstand myself, but I’ve even kind of been randomly and viscerally squicked at times byportrayals of them kissing or preforming sex acts on one another (as opposed topreforming sex acts on someone else in each other’s general vicinity, lol).Which is really bizarre, since I’m a big fan of emblematik’s fic and own agrand total of one R18 doujin about them. So, idk, there’s nothing objectionable about it in the slightest. But I seem to heavily preferAtem and Yuugi being platonic in most cases for some reason?

I’m also not really fond of the vast majority of Ryou/YamiMalik interpretations. I’m not really that fond of Yami Malik in a completelyseparate body and as a completely separate entity that’s not at all amanifestation of Malik prime’s emotional needs (or vice versa, really). I kindof consider Malik and Yami Malik a package deal, so I’m not really especiallykeen on seeing one ship dealt with in absentia of the other. And, even if I was,I kind of think Malik and Yami Bakura are better developed characters that canbe used to cover a lot of the messy Ryou ship dynamics, well, better. But- I really, reallylike (platonic or nonplatonic) angstshipping, and I do consider (platonicor nonplatonic) Ryou/Yami Malik a facet of that. A facet that can reap reallyinteresting results. And so I want to see a lot more of Ryou and the Maliks butmaybe not in the way I see the fandom usually be about them.

And, idk, it seems like I’ve had a lot of salty af feelingsabout Isis/Mai. I don’t know. I am (1) very overly invested in Mai being reallytraumatised by Yami Malik’s behaviour towards her, (2) very overly invested inMalik being held accountable as (at the very least) complicit in Yami Malik’sbehaviour, (3) very overly invested in Mai being allowed to never forgive Malikever, and (4) very overly invested in Isis and Rishid being there to supportMalik and be on his team basically regardless of how bad he’s fucked up ateverything ever. These four points feed right into so much that I love aboutBattle City and DOMA, and somewhere in them is a pretty big conflict ofinterest that kind of prevents Isis/Mai and Mai/Rishid from not being superfucked up on some level. And, idk, I don’t really see a lot of super fucked upportrayals of them? Which is fine, I guess? I think my four points up there areperhaps overly specific readings of the text? But they all kind of lead me tohaving a kneejerk reaction against the ships bc my insect brain goes: ‘this ispressuring a woman to get over her abuse and pretend it didn’t happen’. Whichis something I’m familiar as with per my personal life, which is kind ofuncomfortable. Which makes me want desperately to read a Isis/Mai fic aboutgaslighting, and them dealing with dissimilar approaches to their own abuserecovery and erroneously expecting the other to be on the same page, and eventually beingable to understand each other and knowing their relationship needs a lot of distancein places and that’s sad but it still might be something worth holding onto? SoI guess I’m back to shipping it again, except I have to write it myself orsomething, idk.(except i also understand that everyone i unabashedly ship Maiwith is a tiny baby and that has its own potential problems – just ones ihaven’t had to live with? idk, why doesn’t ygo canon have any passionate,hot-blooded adult people i want to ship Mai with? Vivian, you are my onlysalvation.)

idk, I don’t like Mokuba/Shizuka either. except it might befine if somebody convinced me Mokuba and Shizuka could connect on a meaningfullevel that wasn’t just ‘making JouKai drama happen’. and i don’t likeHonda/Shizuka either. except i do like it, because I like Honda/Otogi/Shizukatriad. except I’ve never read any Honda/Shizuka by itself that wasn’t justuncomfortably assuming that Shizuka would get with Honda and not dealing withthe fact that Honda is an entitled lying liar who should question just what it ishe feels entitled to, and why. andwhat kind of relationship he’ll be participating in, and why. smh.

And I have a hard time seeing Atem being attracted to Anzuin canon, so I’m not big on shipping them, but it wouldn’t drive me away fromsomething either? Anzu/Atem: why not? and i used to feel sort of ‘why not?’ but not super interested inAtem/Kaiba. but then I gotangry at antishippers and then I talked to rainstormcolors too much, and now Ikind of ship it. Except I still get the feeling that most people who ship itaren’t really looking for the same dynamic in it that I’m really looking for.Which is, when I think about it, the exact same problem I have with JouKai(except slightly less bad, bc JouKai is much trashier). So I’ve done a 180degree turn here from notp problems to otp problems because for me they are thesame problems. always the same problems.

ETA: Itoccurs to me I probably could have added Seto/Shizuka to this list. Myunderstanding of Seto is that he’s someone who wouldn’t be at all compassionateabout her no-money, abuse, and disability problems. And my understanding ofShizuka is that she’s someone that would take that keenly to heart in arelationship. But, oh noes, once more I have read at least one fic for thisship that I liked. And I kind of like the idea of fucked up Season Zero Seto/Shizuka a lot too ;_;

this chapter title has got me thinking all kinds of things. and none of them are appropriate. 

- so basically the trio are a bunch of little shits and havent even gone to go say HELLO to hagrid after that swerved his care of magical creatures class. im so disappointed.

Yauatcha, Houston Texas.

Okay, so Yauatcha has a lot of amazing stuff going on in it! The Dim Sum/Tea House-esq restaurant (a Chinese traditional style of eating where you order lots of small portioned, delicious food that come usually in a bamboo steamer). This Houston Yauatcha is located outside of the Galleria mall but is not the first of it’s kind, there are currently all over the world, the most notable one, I believe is in London. Yauatcha isn’t just a restaurant but also attached to it is a phenomenal bakery full of tantalizing pastries. This was my first experiences with Dim-Sum and something I was extremely excited about! So I rounded up the famiglia and we were off to Houston. 

When making reservations my brother was told this was a fairly formal place but I did not get that vibe at all despite the day dress I put on in preparation. The atmosphere is calm and modern. There is definitely a feel of class and formality especially upheld by the staff but I felt comfortable and at home. 

First things first, the drinks. I ordered the “Bee Knees” A gin, Lemon, honey and sugar cocktail that was a bit too sweet and very sour. The waiter dubbed it a “grown up lemonade” which it most definitely was. I wasn’t too much a fan. We skipped the typical hot tea that goes with the Dim-Dum Tea-House atmosphere because mostly, my family and I don’t know much about Tea in the first place. Yauatcha did have a wide selection of cocktails and much to my brothers delight when he ordered a coke, they brought it to him the good stuff, the Cola imported from Mexico that comes in the bottle. 

Now to the food. Dim-Sum is small portions of tasty bites of food, so my family and I started there. The waiter suggested we get everything in orders of two because we had five of us at the table. (My parents, my brother and his girlfriend and myself, yeah I was the fifth wheel! SO WHAT!) The following is what we ordered on our first round, which was devoured in about 20 minutes of bliss. 

Venison Puff: A light but buttery pastry glazed with some type of sweet goodness, stuffed with melt in your mouth Venison and adorned with some Sesame seeds. This an amazing little morsel! This photo doesn’t show off the goodness in the center there but overall this was one of the top things I consumed and my family all seemed to agree. 

Steamed Pork Dumpling: A light and fluffy cloud of goodness. Outside is the most fantastic thing in this good world, steamed bread, that is sweet and airy. On the inside was a barbecue pork of some type. My brother ordered this beauty and I was so happy he did! I was craving Dim-Sum mostly for the Steamed buns. If you haven’t had them before, please, for your own good, TRY SOME! 

XO Scallop Dumpling: Okay, so I ordered this one and really… I wasn’t much of a fan. The outside is an actual scallop and inside is stuffed with some veggies. It was very fishy, and I’m not sure how they prepared it but although it was a cool concept I was not a fan and I freaking love scallops too! I put some soy-sauce on it to cut the fishy factor but still I could live without eating this again.

Poached Chicken Dumplings: I love dumplings and this was the way I’m used to eating them! Outside is the slippery savory dumpling… skin? I don’t know what it’s called. Inside was some poached chicken and veggies. These were good! Not enough to blow me out of the water but I could probably have eaten 20 of these and have been happy. They absorbed a lot of the flavor from the broth they came in that tasted salty and good. Overall a yummy little bite! 

Crispy Duck Roll: In my minimal food experience you can’t go wrong with deep fried food and this Egg-roll/Duck Roll is a prime example! It was pretty simple, duck that was cooked well with I believe cucumber in the middle? It came with this brown sweet/savory sauce on the side that paired well with it. It was crispy, crunchy and most definitely yummy!   

Crispy Aromatic Duck: So after we ate all those amazing assorted goodies we decided, boldly, that we in fact did need more food. Although I was probably full enough! So we ordered this Crispy Aromatic duck that came with “pancakes” which my brothers girlfriend noted seemed more like tortillas! You smeared on some of that good, savory, brown sauce on it again, I think it was Hoison Sauce but I could be mistaken! And DAMMNNN was this good. The Duck was crispy and I could not stop eating it. Within this dish I found heaven and it was deep fried and wrapped in a “pancake.”  

Lavender Macaroon: There were a few other pastries to try but I was just too stuffed to commit to anything bigger than this little Macaroon also I freaking love Macaroons, they make me feel fancy AF and they are so darn good! This Lavender Macaroon was lightly herby, almost minty? and was filled with rich chocolate that paired so well with that lavender flavor. This was all the dessert I needed. 

Overall, Yauatcha was astonishing. The atmosphere was modern and hip but also laid back. The staff was tentative and our table alone had at least four different waiters serving us more drinks, checking up on us, or cleaning up out loads of plates (we really did get way too much food) as for the price, we stayed within the lower side of the menu, you definitely could spend a pretty penny at this place. We ended up spending about $230 in total (excluding the tip) so around $46 per person? Not too bad for a meal at an upscale restaurant by the Galleria in Houston. My family and I had a great time exploring a new style of cuisine and the waiter was there to guide us every step of the way when it came to what and how much to order. I will be sure to go back!

Orlando Weekend Trip

I know I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been very busy for me as of late and I haven’t had a chance to finish the blogs for my Cebu trip. I will hopefully get back to that vacation soon, but while I have this moment at the Orlando Airport I figured I’d take the time to write out my trip here since it’s probably one of the best, yet short, vacations I’ve ever taken.

Before I detail out what happened, let me first explain how this trip came about. Initially, I wasn’t supposed to go to Orlando at all at this time. Having done a trip in the Philippines for two and a half weeks and also wanting to save up for other “planned” trips throughout the year I figured I’d wait until I’d have a “major” trip (major implying it would cost me more than the usual). Jaymie on the other hand was planning to come down to Orlando with her family with their primary purpose for coming at this time was for the Star Wars Celebration, which is concluding as I write this post. Her brother and parents were going to spend the Saturday (aka yesterday) at the convention while she was going to go spend the day by herself at a theme park.

Not wanting her to go around a theme park by herself (#paranoidboyfriend) and also getting a decent bonus this year, I figured I would go fly down to Orlando to spend that day with her, especially since some of our previous plans had to be pushed back due to her pursuing her master’s degree.

So here I am... or rather, here I was flying down to Orlando. I used some of my IHG rewards points to help keep the costs of the room down at the Holiday Inn in Disney Springs, ten minutes away walking distance from the Disney Springs area. I booked a flight with delta since I have skymiles with them and to also help earn miles for any future trips (especially trips to the Philippines since they are partnered with Korean Air). Initially I was just going to use uber and take mass transit while here in Orlando, but at the last minute my Dad convinced me to rent a car, especially since I turned 25 so rates for me shouldn’t be that bad. I booked a car with Alamo and was ready for my trip to Orlando.

On Friday I woke up a little late seeing as the night before was a raid night (which, sidenote, was a piece of crap because I didn’t get squat from the two bosses I really needed items from > . >). But i managed to get ready and get all that I needed for my trip. I didn’t want to check in any bags considering that I’d have to pay for any checked bags (don’t have the credit card to bypass that, yet...) so I had to keep it to mostly clothes - I figured I could buy the travel sized toiletries at a Walgreens here anyway.

Once I was ready to go, I met my Dad downstairs and drove him and myself to the airport. Since I wasn’t going to drive Xerah (yes, that’s the name of my civic, don’t judge me = 3 =) this weekend I figured I’d take her to the airport and just have my Dad drive her back home. Traffic to JFK wasn’t terrible. It was actually better than I anticipated, so I got there at a reasonable time. After saying goodbye to my Dad I headed to the kiosk to reprint my boarding pass just in case and then headed through security with no issues. Once I found my gate I pretty much just chilled there until my flight was ready to board, catching up on 13 Reasons Why (a good series, would highly recommend btw).

The flight itself was full. I was kinda worried I’d be forced to volunteer my seat but lo and behold, this wasn’t United, so I was pretty safe. Weather was spectacular at both NYC and Orlando so no delays due to weather either. I had an aisle seat and sat next to a woman who kept to herself. While on the airplane, I continued watching 13 Reasons Why and before I knew it, I landed in Orlando!

Pretty sure this is the first time I’ve been in the Orlando airport. If I have been here earlier, I was probably a wee little chlid because I don’t remember being here at all. The airport looks and feels a little smaller than JFK and also looks a little less... modern I guess? Still, at least they had the AC going. After leaving the secure area I made my way to the rental car area and waited on line before getting my car. Initially they told me I was going to drive a Chevy Cruze, which would be cool since that was one of the other cars I was considering instead of the civic. But I ended up renting out a Ford Focus, which was still cool because that car was also another one I was considering XD. It was a hatchback model (eh) but it was still pretty cool, though up til I left it here I still don’t know what half of the buttons on that car did LOL.

After getting my car I used Google maps on my phone to drive to the Holiday Inn in Disney Springs. There was a lot of traffic on the way so it took me about 45 minutes to reach my hotel, but once I arrived, check in was a breeze - they even offered to “upgrade” my room since I was early, giving me the same setup but with a -view of the fireworks... which would’ve been cool if I wasn’t going to be out during the fireworks XD Still, it was nice of them to do this for me, and the room itself wasn’t bad. Pretty spacious non-smoking king bed room with a couch and a nice bathroom. The locking latch was a little weird but other than that no complaints.

Not wanting to waste time just staying in the room and anxious to explore, I changed out of my jeans and into some shorts and walked to Disney Springs. It really was only a ten minute walk and once I got there I wanted to see if I could find a place that sold a lobster roll or a crab roll. The sandwich, not the sushi = 3 = It was Good Friday after all, so no meat. However, after walking the length of Disney Springs and not finding anything like that, I ended up just eating a pizza at Wolfgang Puck’s Express. Yes, I am/was carb backloading, but it was also a vacation - LET ME LIVE = 3 =.

After eating my late lunch (ate around 3pm) I decided to look around to see if there was anything else I wanted. I found a gelato shop and got a scoop of pistachio gelato and a scoop of cookie gelato and finished that up while walking around Disney Springs. It was in that moment that I realized that I really liked Orlando and already started making retirement plans in my heard for this place, but we’ll see how that turns out lol

However, my time at Disney Springs would be cut short as I really had to use the bathroom. So I rushed back to my hotel room and after relieving myself I chilled in my room waiting for Jaymie and her family to arrive. I also had to go to get my toiletries so I took the car to a nearby walgreens to get said toiletries and also ended up getting three cases of purified water for Jaymie’s family, since they said it was cheaper to get that and they would just pay me back later. They then offered to let me go to their resort and eat a “pre-dinner” with them, so I drove to Disney’s Pop Century Resort and chilled with Jaymie and her family in the resort’s cafeteria. It’s a pretty cool place because they had a lot of selections and you could buy this cup that’s free refills for the duration of your stay.

After having a pre-dinner, we brought up the water bottles to their room and then I drove us to Disney Springs where we would eat dinner at Paddlefish. It was pretty packed and since Jaymie’s brother, Michael, has an allergy to fish and shellfish, we had to eat outside so that he wouldn’t be choking on the smells. I ordered scallops, which is kinda funny because it came with brussel sprouts and I actually enjoyed eating the brussel sprouts more than the scallops because the scallops were so freaking salty! But it was a good dinner regardless and after we ate we walked around Disney Springs before I drove them back to their resort to drop them off then headed back to my hotel to rest up for the following day.

Oh boy. Saturday. Saturday was busy AF but at least it didn’t start as early/bad as it did for Jaymie’s family. I woke up, got ready, then went to meet Jaymie at her resort to eat breakfast. After eating breakfast, she and I headed to epcot and because she was staying in a resort she had free parking so I parked in the Epcot lot which was awesome - no relying on shitty bus schedules or shady uber drivers :D We then headed to Epcot but we were running late for our first activity - the Test Track. So we fast walked to that and once we got to the gate in time we took our sweet-ass time walking down the line.

Test Track is probably one of my favorite attractions in all of Disney World. The idea is that you design a car and then you ride a “simulation” of it. No, it’s not a vr thing, though that would be cool. It’s a pre determined track with a bunch of pre-determined events before getting to the main part, which is the power test. For this part, the ride goes as fast as it cans on a pseudo track, reaching a speed above 60 miles per hour (I have a theory that the speed is the average of all the cars created by the people in the actual car). I ended up designing the fastest car so when the scores were tallied up, I had the highest power of all the cars :D

After the Test Track, we decided to go to get some pictures with Baymax. When we got to the Baymax photo spot, we also saw they had one for Joy and Sadness from Inside Out, which we would go to later. After waiting for about thirty minutes and then getting our pics with Baymax, we went to Spaceship Earth since that was our next fast pass. For the uninformed, it’s a slow ride that takes you through a brief history of humanity on Earth. The theme of Epcot is human innovation so that was also a part of this ride.

We still had some time before our lunch reservation at the Coral Reef Restaurant so we figured we’d wait in line to take pictures with Joy and Sadness. They were more interactive than Baymax, but all three of them reacted to the shirt Jaymie was wearing - it was a Teeturtle shirt that showed Batman, Ironman, and Thor jealous of Baymax because Baymax was a bigger hero than the three of them XD. It was cool that they were pointing out Jaymie’s shirt, and it made me wish I wore something more exciting than a plain old blue Uniqlo shirt = 3 =.

After the photo op we headed to the Coral Reef Restaurant where we had lunch. It’s situated next to Epcot’s big aquarium, and I remember Jaymie telling me that she reserved this place because of it. It was pretty cool, I just wish There were dolphins or mamals in general in the aquarium, but I’m not gonna complain lol I ended up having some lobster bisque and a NY strip steak which was pretty good - and pretty filling.

After lunch, we decided to walk around the world showcase area of Epcot. It’s basically a big circle where each segment of the circle is supposed to represent a country. I have no clue how they chose the countries that they had, but it was pretty cool and each country had a restaurant and a few shops with stuff from their respective culture.We decided to go through the countries in clockwise order. I’m not going to outline every single place we went to but I will mention a few highlights. Norway had a new ride based on Frozen, but there weren’t any fast passes available and we didn’t want to wait for 105 minutes to ride it, so we passed by (next time we’ll go hopefully). In China we ended up resting because we were both so tired considering our busy schedules and all the walking and standing on line that we already did. It was cool because they had a few previews of the Disneyland theme park in Shanghai, which is one of the places we wanted to visit at a later time. I was a little disappointed with Italy because they didn’t have a gelato shop. They did have a small stand selling spumoni gelato but I passed since I had that the last time I was in Epcot. When we got to Japan, I had a rainbow shaved ice which was perfect since I was craving something cold and sweet but not creamy. It was strawberry, tangerine, and watermelon flavored and it was really good. Just thinking about it makes me want to eat some shaved ice in Parkchester when I get back home. In France, Jaymie got a chocolate gelato macaroon and a chocolate eclair while I got a “Croosiant Jambon Fromage” or in lay man’s terms, a ham and cheese croissant sandwich = 3 =. Was I overeating? Yes, and I’ll explain that later on, but at the time it was soo good x.x

When we were done with the showcase, I went to a shop to grab a gift for my cousin’s twins since their birthday was last week. I got the boy, my Godson Alex a Mickey Tsumtsum while I got his sister, Isa, a Minnie Tsumtsum. At this point, we pretty much did all that we wanted to do at Epcot, so we headed back to the car, taking a picture at the front of Epcot first, then drove to Magic Kingdom.

I’m pretty sure the last time I went to Magic Kingdom was with my Dad in my trip after I graduated from college. Getting to Magic Kingdom was coomplex AF since we wanted to park in the parking complex in Disney Springs to spare our car from the heat. We ended up walking from Disney Springs to a nearby resort where we took a ferry to another resort to a bus that would take us to the park. This time around? Still a little complex, but instead of parking at Disney Springs, we parked at Magic Kingdom’s parking lot... This time we took a tram to take a ferry that would take us to Magic Kingdom = 3 =

Originally, we were just going to spend the whole day at Epcot, but Jaymie found out about this event they were testing out where you could take a picture with a Tangled theme lantern. So Jaymie ended up buying the parkhopper for us just so we could take part in that event. When we got to Magic Kingdom, I wanted to see if I could get some of the pistachio creme brulee from Tony Roma’s but they don’t do take out so I was a little sad. We then scouted out the place where the tangled event happened, but it was too early so we decided to get some snacks at the Starlight cafe. We got fries and I ended up getting a strawberry lemonade slushy because they had a BB-8 souvenir cup that I wanted to get = 3 =

After chilling at the cafe for a bit, we went to the tangled area again, and waited until it got dark. Then we saw that they were setting up and realized we weren’t on the line so we got on the line, waited about an hour, then got our pictures of the tangled lantern, which turned out pretty great. Mission accomplished! :D

Achieving our goal at Magic Kingdom, we headed back to the car, this time taking the monorail instead of the ferry to get to the parking lot and drove back to Disney Springs where we met up with Jaymie’s family for dinner at Morimoto, an Asian cuisine place. Michael and their parents and family friend told stories of their adventures at the Star Wars celebration while Jaymie and I told them about our trip to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. After dinner, we were all so tired so I took them back to their resort, said my good byes since I was leaving the following day, and went back to my hotel, where I passed out, woke up in the middle of the night to throw up, then went back to sleep = 3 =.

Today, I really didn’t do much. I just went to church at Mary Queen of the Universe to celebrate Easter, then chilled with my cousin Rachel and her twins for a bit, giving them their belated birthday gifts. After that I went to eat lunch at Wendy’s then headed to the airport so I would not be late in bringing the rental car back, made it past security and sitting where I am write now writing this blog post.

Overall, this was probably one of the best trips I’ve ever done recently. One of the things I really liked about it was the amount of independence and responsibility I had for this trip. In the past, I didn’t really pay for anything. Not the plane trip, not the rental car, not the hotel room, not even gas or food! But this time around was different. And though my wallet is crying a little, it does feel a little cool to be able to get these things on my own.

But the best thing about this trip was the time I spent with Jaymie. Just being in disney world together was enough for me to be happy and I can’t wait for our future trips not only to here in Orlando but all throughout the world. Jaymie, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for making this trip so memorable ^_^

I don’t really have much else planned today, just plan on eating dinner with my folks when I get back home, then maybe catch up on WoW since I didn’t even log on since Thursday night. You know a trip is good if it gets you to stop playing WoW, let me just say that haha. I’m probably going to catch up on 13 Reasons Why now so there’s that too.

*MY TRUTHS

·       I find it really hard to finish things. I’ve got an entire album’s worth of songs that I’ve started but never finished, and an entire library’s worth of book ideas waiting to be written. I need an end goal and a deadline to finish anything rip.

·       I’m so so so so so pale. I live in one of the sunniest places in the world and I can’t tan. Oh well. Less skin cancer I suppose.

·       My family owns so many books. Like, so many. Every room has a bookshelf, and we have a dedicated library. I’ve never run out of things to read.

·       I won the Dux award in primary school, and they gave me a dictionary. I’m still salty.

·       I’m currently learning Korean and Japanese simultaneously. I keep getting the words mixed up lol.

·       As a writer, I’ve googled some fucked up shit for references. I once looked up how to make a bomb when I was writing a story about terrorists and I’m pretty sure the FBI is monitoring my computer lol.

·       I’m not a delusional fangirl but…. I mean, I’m pretty sure Kim Namjoon and I are one day gonna get married. It’s fate.

·       My friends and I used to roleplay on facebook and we look back now and cringe but honestly those were some of the happiest times for me. I don’t care what anyone says. It was fun.

·       I’m a really, really bad speller. Sometimes the spell checker on my computer just stops working and I’m completely lost.

july•tenth

it’s been a weird past couple of days. i threw up today, though. “is joanne sick?” you may be thinking. “is she hungover af?”

no actually. I TRIED TO WASH COLES DISHES AND VOMITED FROM THE SMELL.

anyways, saturday (the 7th) i woke up and went to the pool with lumbum and then i went to butter’s house so she could dye my hair. after that i came home and hung out with boob and dingy until we went downtown with them, dingy’s kind of maybe new gf and fucking peahead. hate that mf. 

sunday, i floated the river with boob, dingy, molls, k8lin and for some reason k8lin brought her mom. that was fun. we floated all day then ate at el paso.

yesterday i worked a double. per usual.

and today i worked morning shift. my gf asked me to come out with her and sunshine to this kid’s house that i don’t like. i said no, because why would i. kinda salty though bc she just snapped me and so did the rumored dude with herpes and she’s straight chillin with him, clibs and all the guys i hate right now. just pisses me off. first off, why would you invite me to that KNOWING i hate him? second off, knowing your best friend hates these dudes bc of clearly everything i’ve been through with them, why would you hang out with them?

so fucking annoying. she’s such an attention whore it’s annoying.

boob’s in the garage with dingy and some car model, that’s honesty really average. i would MUCH rather hang out with boob even though he’s in the garage than hang with those douchers.
