I've read your new hashimada fic and ahhh it pulled at my heart strings, this isn't exactly an idea for a fic, but I'm curious at what your take on mito and madara interactions? And for a hashimada fic would you put them in a poly relationship or is hashirama cheating her and madara is technically his mistress (maybe hashirama only views the marriage as deal to keep the alliance with the uzumaki, poor mito tho since in Minato's oneshot she is shown to genuinely have loved him). hi!! thank you for reading my hashimada fic ^_^. hmmm mito and madara interactions… i feel like madara doesn’t have any strong opinions on her, he might feel resentment towards her by proxy of sealing the kyuubi but hmmm other than that, she’s just another one of hashirama’s close people.

i do mention mito in my fic since it’s only canon divergence once madara wins the war, i think it’s more like? for back then, hashirama and madara weren’t exactly dating, I can’t imagine them dating… more like a crazy lesbian situationship that dooms the world, yes they’ve kissed and everything but it never crossed into that committed territory. people might have different views to me which is fine but personally i think neither had any conflicting thoughts about the marriage bc even if hashirama loved mito it’s not in the same way he loves madara u get me? mito can be romantic love of decades but madara is his other half and hashirama loves madara in a way that transcends romance, sense, death etc.

i wouldn’t put them in a poly relationship bc i don’t think madara could ever come to love mito (uninterested in everyone who isn’t hashirama) and i wouldn’t have hashirama cheating on mito bc i really think he would never. the way i hc it is that mito married hashirama once madara left, for the konoha uzushio alliance but they also felt genuine love, so if i were to write a fic where madara never leaves Konoha i would have mito marry someone else🤔poor girl I don’t want her to get cheated on, I think cheating can be interesting in fics but im not a fan of that in hashimada. i also don’t think madara would ever allow himself to become any sort of mistress figure; his pride and ego absolutely would not let him. Like to him that’s beneath him you get me? Hahahaha

madara and mito interactions would never be antagonistic to me in aus where madara stays, he might hold some respect for her sealing prowess, and maybe in a world where Madara finds happiness they can get along!

I’ve written/blogged about Minato a decent amount but he’s not really a Blorbo(tm) for me, so my feelings on him getting a one shot are pretty neutral… I think I’d rather have had someone else in the top five get it, but I’m also not mad about it.

uh...some flavors are if written a specific way and the concept doesn't interest me, like shuake despite my interest in enemies-to-lovers + the whole playing each other aspect. i don't care to think about them, and yet i've read plenty of fic i love for them. it's def a shining example of why i don't like saying "i like/hate this trope/pairing" without exception

hate dating any of the adults and not in a puritanical way--just not interesting and nonsensical (esp in p5 and the theme of fighting against powerful adults that take socially take advantage of others). shipping needs to have some sort of thread to draw me in...because i also can do shuada just fine when i'm looking for knives

Do you respond to comments? i try to as much as i can !!! sometimes i forget, and sometimes i just don't have anything i might want to say other than thank you for commenting, but all of them mean so much to me ^_^ rereading comments is probably about 40% of my fuel ehehe

What's the fic with the angstiest ending you've ever written? wow ...! that's difficult ! even though i write lots of angsty fic, i am a freak who can find joy in anything. the jolliest guy you could say. a mochizuki fan, possibly. in recent memory, i'd say disappearance, an alien heart beat ... even shorter than usual, but miserable the whole way through . ryoji and minato sit in a room and don't say anything. yaaaay ! (fun fact! it is partially based on a feeling i used to get when me and my ex used to sit in my room with the lights off but the tv on standby, because the overhead light was too harsh. i love watching people move under light; i love the sound of electronics that have been on for too long)

Do you write crossovers? not really ?! they're fun for crackfics, but i don't really honestly explore them that often. maybe i should !

Have you ever gotten hate on a fic? i .... don't think so ! i used to get hate anons when i was younger + stupider because i was quite literally asking for it -_-;; but rage -> if you see this, that zelda comment screenie you posted made me laugh for literally ten minutes [link]

Do you write smut? i would really like to !!!!!!! but i'm so shy >_< !!! but also i worry .. i did once, for OCs of mine, and sent it to a friend ... who immediately sent back laughing that it was 98% inner monologue, 2% actual smut .. which tracks for me lol !

Have you ever had a fic translated? YES !!!!!!! it's always been my dream ^_^ !!! and just this year i had and then he looked right through me, as if i wasn't there translated into russian by a very kind regular commenter !!! if you see this: thank you so much, it means the world to me !!! apparently it was for a friend of theirs, who is a new fan of p3 due to the widespread translations of reload, and they really liked it ^_^ it makes me so happy to think that reload can really extend p3's reach and even more people can get a chance to experience it ...

What’s your all-time favorite ship? ryomina ofc ^_^;; ! kind of topical, but i recently scored the old kotobukiya minato figure that came with the episode "luck" drama cd ! i'll never stop talking about it, but reading episode luck's translations on the gekkouhigh livejournal is what made me love ryomina, and cemented my love of p3 as a whole ... such sweet memories ehehe

What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will? mostly things that were born of a specific emotion i was feeling when i drafted it, and don't really want to feel again if i can help it, or at least on purpose. it makes me pretty sad that i feel some of my most impactful work has come out of me feeling ... well, pretty sad ! so i just work harder every day to write just as well, if not better, than things i've written in that state :]

What are your writing strengths? aaa ... i think i'm good at laying running metaphors in a fic (which i love hearing when @p3ta says them back to me ^_^ !!!!!!!!!!!!) if that makes sense ?!?! probably because i love edgar wright movies .. callback fan writes callbacks eternally like the ouroboros lol :p i'm sisyphean !

What are your writing weaknesses? i need to buckle down and write longer fics goddamn it !!!!!!!!!! my latest work, the best beast ever is a boy you know, is also my longest work to date, at a measly 3,657 words. but i love it so much, and it's so amazing what i can do with just 2000 words more than i'm used to ! hopefully i can keep it up ^_^

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics? it's interesting, and really enjoyable when done well (looking at some bebe writers tbh !!!!!) ... buuut, of course, it can also fall flat ! kind of related, but the closest i've ever gotten to something like this is using japanese honorifics . i know it's a little divisive, but i like it a lot when used responsibly (as i try to) ^_^;; ! overuse of stuff like -sama totally makes me feel like i'm about to tab into ouran high school host club part 1 of 13 on youtube though lol

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far? it's cheating, but i have two and an honourable mention. i am so happy to have returned to writing persona 3 fic ... it is one of my favourite things ^_^ first of all: alone but sane . alone but sane could be considered my magnum opus so to speak lol ... it is just one of those ideas that is so perfect. i don't know ... i am in many ways my own biggest fan. i do ofc owe my inspiration for it to @mymp3, the best messiah recipe 2008 attendee ^_^ i am so glad we're friends now :p second of all: when you're hollowed out and empty !!!! i hope to write many more fuuka and ryoji fics this year . she is so kind and so reaching in her kindness ... i aim to be more like her ..! fuuka asks, "i wonder what ryoji's doing... do you think he's still crying, like before?" and i write and write and write at last .. my honourable mention! my only zombieland saga fic, and you don't seem to understand (a shame, you seemed an honest man) .. i don't have anything to say here .. zls is a tragedy . to me

Stygian Ringlet is probably the obvious one, haha. I can’t help loving my boys

Did you take any writing risks this year?:

The P3/Spy X Family crossover was an unexpected surprise, but it was really fun to write for! The crossover spawned in the Marigolds discord, and boy was it fun to brainstorm ideas for Persona characters that could appear. I especially had fun with Shinjiro’s moments. I was actually working on another oneshot after Strangers Are Just Friends You Havent Met!

Do you have any fanfic goals for the New Year?:

Trying to hammer out more of True Crime Special on the Midnight Channel, aka my IT Akiren fic. I feel like it should have a bit more groundwork planned out to do it justice, but it may end up being relatively short anyway. Who knows! :)

Best story of the year:

Outside of my main fic, I was really proud of how Red Strings and Frogged Stitches came out! It always bothered me how Yosuke would treat Kanji throughout P4 (especially since Yosuke heavily reads like he’s gay and in denial about it), and I was really in the mood for a fic where Yosuke finally apologizes and they talk things out between them in a way that does them both justice. Of course, after months of them being at odds, it would take more time than just one night and a talk, but it’s a first step in the right direction.

Most popular story of the year:

Ddefinitely Stygian Ringlet haha

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

Red Strings and Frogged Stitches; not too surprising since it’s a P4-only oneshot and centered purely around Kanji and Yosuke

Most fun story to write:

I have a lot of fun writing Stygian Ringlet (because I love my boys), but I also had a lot of fun writing Shinjiro in the P3/Spy Fam AU!

I'm about 30 hours late in saying this, but I can't tell you just how perfect this was 🧡. Over the weekend, I was actually trying to wrangle about eight or nine different plot ideas/oneshots for assorted fic I've been wanting to write for months now. I had thought I might try to use some for Kakashi Week, except none of what I had written really fit the prompts to my liking, and I was just feeling overwhelmed by too many choices (not to mention wanting to finish my current projects, too!).

When I read your comment, the BIGGEST lightbulb went off in my head for how to use team min + time travel to connect all the ideas in a fun and logical way. It was such a rush that I just sat down and typed and edited and drafted for a while, and I forgot to come back to tumblr to tell you THANK YOU!! Not just for pointing out how funny and cute and entertaining this whole thing would be, but also for reading and laughing at my dumb tags and everything! I love seeing your reactions, I'm glad we seem to have a similar sense of humor, and I always look forward to checking your blog and reading your posts. (1/2)

I'm gonna make a blog update about this a little later on, but I just thought I'd give you a bit of a headsup that I'm going to be taking a bit of a break from tumblr/ pulling back from updates and reblogs for a while. I have a short queue lined up, but over the last few days, I realized that tumblr has been absorbing a lot of my energy, and I want to reserve some of that time and energy for creating other stuff. (Writing more is definitely one of the other things). So if I'm not checking in as frequently, don't worry; I'm not losing interest in writing posts or finishing fic or anything. Just doing a bit of rebalancing.

Also, fyi, I spent the first half of yesterday re-reading the first arc of "Abandon." I kind of fell back in love with it after feeling a lot of hesitation and distance from it all summer. So that is where all my writing energy will go next, is to continuing part three, and then finishing part four + five afterwards. After that, probably continuing "Up Against The Wall," and after that, the new one with the Team Minato time travel in it. That's the plan, but I have no idea how long it will take or if I will stick with that order (hopefully not too long). Anyway, thank you for reading, and cheering me on when I'm tired of writing, and going with me and my Team Minato on their sad rollercoaster of emotions. I really appreciate it so much!! 🧡🧡🧡

So, I’ve been exploring the various Sakura ships for a few months now and I was curious to see how many fics there are of each ship on ao3 as of December 12, 2020. I also wanted to see what the main type of fic written for each ship is because some are more inclined to one-shots or more plot intensive fics. This definitely won’t be all of her ships because I won’t put it past myself to forget one. The only disparities present in the numbers should be that I forgot I had the language filter set to English and it doesn’t factor in whether the ships are the main focus of the stories or only a side ship. Anyways, let’s see how this turns out.

Summary: During a dinner with your two best friends, you hear a stunning confession.

Two sweethearts

"Slow down a bit (y/n) or else you'll swallow it the wrong way." Your chopsticks froze midair, eyes drifting to your two best friends who were both watching you with warm and slightly amused eyes. You huffed a bit and put the chopsticks down. "I've been on a two-week mission and came only back recently. And those last few days I've been running on food pills! Do you even know how bitter those things tasted? I was stripped from delicious food and now that I'm on a little break, I'm planning to make up for those dehumanized meals. Blame your wife that the food is so good. Even though I suppose after that everything would have tasted heavenly."

Kushina smiled with a slight blush tingling her face when hearing your compliment. Minato scratched his cheek a bit. "I actually helped making everything." You kind of sensed that he wanted to be complimented too, but feeling a bit more mischievious, you instead gave him a shocked look. "Wait, you can cook? Should I be worried that I'll suffer from a food intoxication."

Kushina giggled a bit when seeing your surprised face whilst Minato crossed his arms, giving you a faked hurt expression. He knew you were just joking. "Ha ha ha. Very funny. I'm planning on letting you die anytime soon, you know. If I would want that, I would use other methods."

"Oh, don't be that way. I know you love me.", you purred, tilting your head in an innocent way. You felt slightly taken aback when you saw his cheeks shortly turning pink. That was a bit unexpected, but you decided to ignore this. "Also", you turned around, looking at Kushina,"It wouldn't be a wise decision of you to try to get rid of me. Or else you'll summon hell's rage upon you. Isn't that right Kushi?"

Flashback

You nervously clutched Kushina's hand, feeling fear tingling in every cell of your body. So that was Konohagakure, the village where you two would from now on live. Why? Why you two? You knew that you couldn't do anything against it now, but there were those selfish thoughts inside of you that just wished that someone else had been chosen instead of you and Kushina. All you had wanted was living a happy and normal life in your village. But instead you two had been chosen to become the next jinchuuriki of the fox spirit which was kept in the Leaf Village. You didn't want to, because of this stupid task you and Kushina had been ripped away from your families and friends. You didn't even know if you would see them anytime soon again.

"Don't worry, (y/n). I'm here." You felt Kushina squeezing your hand in a comforting manner, giving you an encouraging smile. You blinked confused, feeling the tears in the corner of your eyes. "But Kushi...aren't you scared? We're in a foreign village, forced to carry the nine-tailed fox inside of us and far away from our village. What if they don't like us?"

"Of course I'm scared. I'm angry that they dragged us two in this mess. But...I guess it could be worse." It could be worse? "W-what do you mean?", you asked, confusion audible in your voice. She scoffed, looking a bit nonbelieving that you didn't understand her. "Because at least I have you, silly. If I would have been alone, I guess I would have felt lonely. But the knowledge that at least my best friend is with me, comforts me and I feel less scared. Who cares if the whole village doesn't like me and you? I think as long as I have you, I'm fine with anything. Do you feel the same?"

You stared at her in awe, feeling touched by her spoken words that you felt yourself tearing up. You chuckled a bit, sounding relieved and quickly wiped away the wetness in your eyes. "Yes, I suppose you're not wrong with that." You straightened up a bit, feeling a bit more confident. "So me and you forever, no matter what happens. Right?" You gave her a determined nod, causing both of you to grin. "Right!"

Present

"You can bet on it! No one hurts my (y/n)!" You gave her a cheeky grin, feeling grateful that none of you had ever once broken the promise, even after Minato had come into the picture. You admitted, at first you had been a bit scared that Kushina would neglect you for him, but she had never thought about it, she had always taken care of you. And now you were glad that she had him and that he was her husband. There was no one more perfect for her than him. Their marriage had been a bit more than a year ago and you had of course been the maid of honor. It had been an adorable experience, Kushina had been so nervous that you had spent at least 15 minutes holding her hands and calming her down. And you had cried in joy when both of them had given each other their vow. Even though you remembered the poor guy having been scared and intimidated by her. He still was.

Flashback

"Come on, you idiot! If you like her, tell her!", you snarled at him, clearly tired from this conversation. The blonde scratched his head, appearing to be a bit shy. "I don't know. What if she doesn't like me?" Your eyebrow twitched a bit, turning with an annoyed expression around to him. "Are you blind or something like this? You are the official 'Prince Charming' in this whole goddamn village! Show more confidence! And believe me, I've known Kushina longer than all of you. She likes you, believe me."

He flinched slightly when you starting towering over him, glaring scarily at him. "Calm down, no reason to look like you're about to rip my head off. You Uzumaki have quite the scary temper." You scoffed, half amused, half annoyed. "You fell for one. But hey, love comes in many forms. Even really unexpected ones."

Present

Thinking back now, hadn't there even been a time where everyone had made bets on whom would end up with whom? Ah yes, those silly times when every former classmate of you three had bet on whether you would end up with Kushina, Kushina with Minato or Minato with you. You guessed since you three had been really close ever since the day Minato had saved her from being kidnapped, for which you had suffocated him with a hug, everything would have been possible. But you wouldn't want to have it any other way, even if you would have given the chance to do so. You had no reason. Things hadn't changed since back then. It was still only you three, through thick and thin. You couldn't ask for more, even if you wanted to.

"Did something interesting happen whilst I was gone? Or was it just the usual?" The question was more meant for Minato since he was the Hokage. "Nothing really. Most likely only paperwork.", the blonde replied, causing you to exchange glances with Kushina, both of you smiling because you had just thought the same thing. "I'm so glad we didn't become Hokage." Her and you looked taken aback, having just said simultanously the same thing before you two broke out in laughter. "Can you believe we wanted to be the Hokage when we were younger? Woah, sitting the whole day in the office and doing paperwork doesn't seem to fit us." You nodded approvingly, noticing with amusement Minato's pout. "So I'm boring?"

"No Minato! We both love you very much.", you said happily, trying to stiffle your laughter with clearing your throat and going back to shoving the food down. "Anyways,", you mumbled between a few bites,"you said you wanted to talk about somthing with me, right? What is it?"

And just like that, the whole light and warm air seemed suddenly to change, making you look up confused up at the two. You just sensed it, it was something serious. "Well...you know..." Minato seemed to search for the right words, Kushina grabbing one of his hands and giving it an encouraging sqeeze. "We wanted to talk to you...about us."

"Us in the sense of we three?", you asked, pointing at him, her and you questioningly. Kushina gave nodded, giving you a weird look. She looked somewhat excited, but also...scared? "That sounds serious. Did something happen?" Seeing them acting so nervous caused you yourself to feel a wave of nervousness wash over you, your stomach churning around in an anxious motion. Did you do something wrong? Did they want to spend less time with you and more with themselves? You wouldn't feel offended, you had felt somewhat bad for being so often together with them. But they wouldn't look like that if it would just be this.

"Let's see how I can put this without making it sound weird.", Minato sighed, eyes darting around as if trying to find what he was looking for by doing so. "(y/n)...Kushina and me have known you since a lot of time and are really thankful that you've not distanced yourself from us even after our marriage. Actually...we've wanted to tell you this for quite some time now, but didn't know how to tell you. But we don't want to wait any longer."

This long speech was killing you and you had started swirling the chopsticks nervously around your fingers, swinging back and forth due to feeling the impatience and anxiety slowly burning you. What were they going to tell you, goddamn it?!

Kushina and Minato exchanged a quick glance at each other, a silent message which you couldn't read being exchanged between them before they turned around to look at you. "We love you."

It wasn't the first time you had heard this from them, especially Kushi had often said those words to you. You shouldn't be shocked to hear this. But this time...it was different. You repeated those words carefully a couple of times in your head, staring intensely at them. Both of them were looking a bit anxiously at you, awaiting your reaction. Had you...? Had they just...?

The raining silence was interrupted by your awkward laughter, scratching the back of your neck a bit too forcefully. "You scared me a bit right now. Why having so serious faces? I now you love me. I love you too also." You hoped that you had misunderstood this all, but judging from the disappointed faces of them, you knew you didn't.

"(y/n), you know that we don't mean it that way.", Kushina replied, looking straight into your eyes. "We love you as more as friends, (y/n). I know that this is abrupt and shocking, but hear us out please.", Minato pleaded, giving you a begging look.

And you, well, you had forgotten temporarily how to move, staring with wide open eyes at them, a dumbfounded expression decorating your face. For a moment you wanted to panic, the next you thought maybe escaping would do it. Nut the only thing you could do in that moment was watching them.

Take a deep breath and do something! You inhaled and exhaled one time deeply, body relaxing again a bit and getting a slight better control over your absolutely racing thoughts right now. "A-are you saying that you two...have feelings for me? Romantical ones?" They both nodded, Kushina looking determined whilst Minato seemed to observe your reactions more carefully.

"Ah, I see.", you mumbled, turning your gaze away from them and to the ground. One thought was currently playing itself over and over again in your mind. You had just ruined a happy and married couple.

"I...I just ruined your relationship, didn't I?" Your body started slightly shaking, burrying your face in your hands, shame starting to fill all of your senses. "I-I'm so sorry for this! I-I didn't mean to-"

You were interrupted by two pair of hands suddenly touching you, a smaller pair squeezing your hands in a familiar manner and a larger pair resting on your shoulders. You lifted your face, blinking a bit to get rid of the water that had started to collect itself in your eyes. Kushina was kneeling in front of you, holding your hand in hers whilst Minato was standing behind you.

"What are you talking about? You didn't ruin anything (y/n). We don't ever plan on breaking up. We love each other as well as you." You felt the slightest bit bit of comfort when you saw them exchanging a loving gaze with each other, you shoulders slumping down a bit. Good, you hadn't been the end of them. That was until suddenly another light bulb went on in your head.

"Wait. If both of you love me, but are also in love with each other...Are you trying to suggest...!" And suddenly you shoot up from your chair, surprising Minato and Kushina. "Are you trying to ask if I would be willing to have a relationship with you two?! A married couple?! Who just happens to be the Hokage and his wife?!"

"(y/n). Calm down. We know it's a lot to take in right now, but listen to us first.", Minato tried to soothe you, Kushina giving you as well a pleading look. But right now you weren't in the condition. It irritated you, not that they had just confessed, but rather because after the first initial shock you weren't as surprised as you should be. You just exploded a bit in that moment. "You tell me to calm down?! Sorry, not possible! Do you even know what would happen if someone should find out about this?! You could lose your reputation?! The trust of the village?! In the worst case scenario even be forced to give up on your title as Hokage! And Kushina would lose the respect she fought for so hard?! What if we all get excluded from society?! And it would be all my fault!" You were probably overthinking right now, gesturing wildly around with your arms and pacing nervously back and forth, continuing to mutter all worst case scenarios you could come up with right now, more and more scenarios popping up in your head. "It's my fault. I'm to blame if anything should go the wrong way."

"(y/n)! Stop it now!" And suddenly you were prevented from moving, though not by force. Instead you were suddenly sandwiched between two bodies, hugging you from front and back. You didn't know if it was because you now knew about their feelings, but you felt highly embarrassed all of a sudden, even though your small paranoia wasn't over yet. "Hey! Let go of me!" you protested, trying to struggle out of their grips. "Not until you've calmed down." Minato's voice sounded a bit stricter, blue eyes having become a tad bit more harder, reminding you with whom you were talking to. The Fourth Hokage. Kushina had started rubbing comforting circles in your sides, her head resting on your shoulder.

It at least helped you to calm down, even though this shouldn't have been. But there was this certain tranquility and peace you seemed to gain from those two, feeling thei calmer heartbeat helped your own to calm down and their scent slowed your sped up breath down. Despite knowing that this was wrong, you couldn't deny that this was more nice and inviting than it should have been, being in between those two. At one time in the timeline you guessed you had a crush on both of them, but had gladly given up on it when Minato and Kushina had started dating.

For a few moments you three seemed to just stay in this position, a comfortable silence surrounding you. That was before you snapped out of it, a furious heat starting to spread on your face. Too close. "Alright. I calmed down. Now please let go of me." You started squirming slightly, successfully getting out when both of them seemed to loosen their holds on you reluctantly, allowing you to slip out. It was hot, you felt like burning up, most likely out of embarrassment. In a last attempt to regain composure, you cleared your throat and straightened up a bit, even though you could have really just hidden under the table and die out of shame.

"I'm listening." You sounded as collected as someone could right now, after such a flustering experience. But it seemed to brighten both of them up, looking less stressed now that you've calmed down. "We're aware of the risks. That's why we were planning on keeping it a secret.", Kushina explained quickly, causing you to raise an eyebrow. "A secret? I don't think anyone would exactly like keeping a relationship a secret. Next to that I doubt that this can be kept a secret from everyone. Sooner or later someone will find out."

"We weren't planning on keeping quiet about it forever. Only until we've worked a dynamic out that will satisfy everyone. I agree with you, someone will find at some point out. But the villagers know how close we are so in public it shouldn't be too much of a problem if we are seen together. Kushina and me know that there will be people who won't approve of this. But I'm-we're sure that we can manage to sort it out in no time."

You were debatting with your inner self right now, trying to make your mind up. The idea both of them had worked on sounded like a solid plan. But still. "This may sound all very plausible, but it's still a gamble. Are you really willing to risk the trust of the villagers?"

They didn't say anything, but their gazes were telling you everything. You let a frustrated groan out, pulling slightly on your red Uzumaki hair. "Don't look so discouraged! We never know what might happen until we try.", Kushina scolded you slightly, hoping to help you not giving up on hope. You stopped pulling your head, turning your head to them. "How long?"

You didn't need anything more to say, the look in your eyes speaking for you. "Since actually a very long time, at least for me. I've always really liked you. You were after all for a long time the only person I could trust until Minato came.", Kushina confessed, sounding a bit shy. So even before the marriage. That was a bit shocking. But Minato? When had he...? From the asking look you were giving him, he already knew what you wanted to ask. "Well, for me it's a bit of a more complicated story. I actually didn't think that way about you until Kushina confessed to me her feelings. It was a bit shocking for me at first. But...I guess somewhere along the lines I started changing my view, Kushina was pretty much gushing what she loved about you."

You pinched your nose bridge, having the feeling that you were in the wrong movie. This was not right. You shouldn't even consider this and let them live happily. The thought that they wanted to live happily with you was quickly pushed away, even though it's echo reminded in your mind.

"We completely get that it's shocking and that you have reasons to be dubious. But everything will work out well if we do it together. I know it will." Kushina sounded optimistic, Minato agreeing with a nod.

"We? What do you mean with we? I didn't say yes to all of this." Kushina's confident expression faded away, a shocked as well as hurt expression crossing her face. "(y/n)..."

"Don't say anything.", you interrupted her, a conflicted expression on your face. "I-I can't. That's not right, you guys. We can not be. It just...it's wrong. Being together with a married couple who has such high positions is dangerous. That aside, it's nice you planned that all out. But what's with me? What is with my feelings? I'm glad you don't plan on divorcing or be on bad terms or else I would have stormed out of here. But I have morals! And my consciousness is telling me that this isn't right. I don't want to feel like a burden. Even if I would want this, it's not possible. How could I ever do something like this to you? And me?"

You were getting emotional and didn't like it, you really tried to be logical right now. "It's for their own good. And mine.", you tried to tell yourself, thinking about the costs this could have. Too high. You fell into the fabric of the couch, feeling like sitting would make you feel less overwhelmed and giddy. "I can't.", you whimpered, starting to weep silently. You felt terribly ashamed that there was a part telling you otherwise.

"The last thing you will ever be for me is a burden. Don't you remember what I told you all those years back?" You felt the material to your left side dip in, Kushina sitting down next to you. You noticed that in her eyes were swimming tears as well. But this wasn't what astonished you. It was what she had said. You just looked stunned at her. "I told you that no matter what people might think of me, I don't care. As long as I have you and Minato, I'm happy. Just Minato, you and me. That's all I really want. I don't ask for much more except you giving us a chance." Sincerity. That was what you read in her eyes, she meant it.

Minato had by now sat down to your right side, giving you the same look. "Trust us. Please. You should let it happen if you want it as well. Because of us and our reputations you don't have to sacrifice your own happiness or wishes to be loved as well. The situation might be a bit more peculiar, but love comes in many forms. Even unexpected ones, right?"

Despite still feeling shitty, you managed to croak a laugh out, rubbing your eyes with the back of your hands. "You are using cheap tricks, you know that?" In return both gave you a small smile, rubbing comforting circles in your arms. Another sigh escaped your lips, going trough all the pros and cons of this situation. Currently you found more cons than pros which was ridiculous given the fact that love should always have more positive aspects than negative ones. But maybe these few positive argumentations were just so much more worth than anything else. You still felt weird, maybe because you were more of a narrowed-minded person.

"Let's assume that I'm willing to agree to this,", you say the spark of hope in the eyes of those two, leaning closer to you, anticipating your next words,"how will this even work under us three? Wouldn't I be somewhat in the way? I mean, with two people this seems more easy. They only have each other. But how would you even divide the time with me as an extra? And don't you want also time with each other? And what is with having feelings for more than one person? Wouldn't you favor each other over me since you've already spent more time loving each other?"

The principles of this working where unknown to you and you had admittedly never been in a relationship before, you had never really felt the need to have a partner with those two. You felt somewhat unsure when you saw their confused faces staring at you as if you had just grown horns. "What? Why are you staring at me like this?" You blinked, turning your head back and forth between them.

That was until Kushina broke out in laughter, Minato following shortly. "Why are you laughing?" You felt a bit frustrated, not knowing about what they were laughing. "Hey, explain to me what's so funny."

"This is what you're worrying about? How giving affection and splitting the time will work? And worrying that we wouldn't love you as much as each other?", Kushina chuckled. "Umm...maybe?", you replied, blinking somewhat innocently at her. "Kushina,", Minato called, causing both of you to turn heads to him,"let's show her." Over Kushina's face a somewhat mischievious expression appeared. You on the other hand were still tumbling in the dark.

"Show me what?" It didn't seem like you were getting an answer, both of them suddenly pressing their bodies tighter against you, Kushina clinging onto your arm whilst Minato swung one over your shoulders. They were planning something and the pounding of your heart and heat in your face seemed to return all at once, making you somewhat try to shrink away from them since your left and right side were blocked.

You didn't manage to get far anyways, feeling Kushina's and Minato's hair tingling you from both sides, their breaths gosting over your skin. "W-what are you planning to do?" Your whole voice was shaking, not being able to look them right now in the eyes. Too close. Again. But this time even more than before.

"Showing you our love and affection." And with these words they closed the gap, both targeting your lips. And it was certainly something, getting to experience two persons at once kissing you. And your heart exploded. In the methaphorical sense, but still. You turned into a statue, not moving whilst both of them starting peppering your face with kisses. By now you feared you might really explode.

"Get it now?", Minato asked in a playfully teasing tone, cuddling you a bit more whilst Kushina had started nuzzling her face in your neck. You managed to stutter something out that sounded like a half-decent agreeing, too flushed from this sudden act.

"And? Are you willing to give it a shot now?", she asked, tickling you since her voice send vibrations down your neck. "You were still uncertain, but you also doubted that they would let you out of their grip right now. "May...be?" The answer was taken with much joy. And more kisses.

can’t get my mind out of those memories (what were they?) by foxmulder_whereartthou | G | 1.6k | i love this ryomina oneshot… depicts ryoji interacting with shinjiro and akihiko and!! it has fabulous hurt/comfort vibes featuring the only one bed trope!

In this world, Kakashi awoke, saw the similarities, and instantly panicked.

Tobirama Kicks Some Sense Into Konoha by allseer15 Hurt/comfort, whump, emotional whump, time travel, fix it, time travel fix it, The ‘what if Tobirama came to the future saw an orphaned Naruto and adopted the shit out of him’ Fic, Iconique, child neglect, child abandonment, fluff, so much fluff, completed longfic, look I have a weakness for the time travel fix it trope at the best of times but this fic is good even looking at it without focusing on that! Prolonged Tobirama content, Senju lore, senju feels, Summary: The Hidden Leaf Village in Naruto's time seems to have forgotten just why the village was founded and have lost their way.  Through a mishap with a hiraishin seal, Tobirama finds himself during Naruto's time and he is having none of this nonsense. His brother may be gone, but he won't stand to have Hashirama's dream trampled so. And if he has to cause a civil war or burn the village down to the ground? Well that depends on how much resistance he meets. All Tobirama does know for certain is that no child will suffer underneath the protection of Konoha and if he has to take them in and care for them himself, then he will.

Hardest of hearts by blackkat Oneshot, Gen, look I really like blackkat’s naruto fic okay, part one of a completed three part series, all three parts are great, Fix its are the best, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Time Travel, Time Travel Fix It, Orochimaru redemption story, the sheer shadenfreude of one baddie fucking over another baddie, in this case Danzo, Obito has a ‘bad guy but not that bad of a guy’ solidarity moment with Orochimaru at the start and I loved it so there’s that, featuring a low key constantly horrified at this turn of events Minato,

Summary: Orochimaru gets one more chance. Just maybe, it will be enough to save him—and the entire world as well. 

A Snake In the Grass, a Wolf At the Door by blackkat Mature, Completed ten chapter fic, Orochimaru redemption story, Orochimaru/Kakashi’s dad, you read that right, quality Sakumo content, Families of Choice, Humour, Fluff and Angst, somewhat crackish, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, baby Kakashi being a cutie Summary: Orochimaru is on the edge of breaking when someone unexpected pulls him back to solid ground. When the time comes, he returns the favour.

Nukenin by WhisperingDarkness Gen, dimension travel, team seven, team as family, Kakashi actually being a good sensei even when he’s not a sensei at all, possessive kakashi, Team Seven is his team, Kinda Fluffy, Protective Kakashi, the ‘this might as well happen’ adaptability is real, Kakashi adopts team seven and team seven adopts kakashi, even though he’s illegal, 4 chapter fic, marked as complete as author doesn’t plan to continue it, but even taking these chapters as stand alone this fic is great,

Summary:  In the sealed scroll he finds a Bingo Book – his own page marking him as an S-class nukenin with flee-on-sight orders.  “Ok. That is definitely different.”  In his head he blames Naruto – even if his number one unpredictable student had been nowhere near him on this mission. When things go this stupidly impossibly wrong it must somehow be the future Hokage’s fault.

Ear to the Wall by Vodkassassin Ongoing, it’s really really good though! great Kakashi content, Minato is very stressed and I love him, Sickfic, Hurt/Comfort, whump, PTSD’d Kakashi gets to relive his childhood but gets a little bit of a real childhood along the way, ADHD Rin, time travel fix it, look I like what I like and what I like is fix its and time travel apparently, Kakashi adopts Orochimaru before he descends into douchbaggery, Orochimaru Redemption story, everyone is alive,   Summary: The Minato-sensei beams at him, and replies, “Kakashi! I’m glad you’re awake,” and, yup, that’s Minato-sensei’s voice. Kakashi falls back down against the bed, closing his eyes. It’s too short of a way down, and he clenches hands that are too tiny and feeble and not his in dog-print sheets he hasn’t owned for decades.

It all starts with Rin's kidnapping, and her subsequent rescue at the hands of a mysteriously appearing, monstrously strong, murderously violent woman. A woman with cotton candy pink hair. It only devolves from there.

He did not give chase. He did not.)

A Political Perspective by VJ Riddle  / MueraRashaye Ongoing, Possibly (Probably) Discontinued, Teen and Up, Gen, Team 7, training montage deluxe, Konoha is a murder village, Good Teacher! Kakashi, AU, slowly developing into Bamf team 7, Bamf Kakashi, slowly developing into Team as Family, lots of fun ideas, not crack, Minor Spoiler: Zabuza and Haku get x’d before their character development gets its chance to shine in this fic, Sometimes people don’t warn for that in the tags and it can be a dealbreaker in fic for me as I love those two, not a dealbreaker in the case of this fic though! Really good fic so far, kind of verging on dry in places but it always stays fun in the end with lots of interesting elements, I enjoy the character insight from the pov switching, and also how much of a headcase Kakashi is, graphic depictions of violence, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence,

Summary: Hatake Kakashi was a shinobi, and as a shinobi, the only people who could give him orders were his military superiors. The idea that a Council made up of civilians and peers was under the impression they could give him orders...displeased him. Or: He was ordered to pass Team 7. He was fine with that, until they actually passed.

Foundation (Build It Higher, Bury It Deeper) by RayShippouUchiha Ongoing, BUT EXCELLENT, it made me cry, Naruto feels, 6 chapter fic thus far, Bamf Naruto, Bamf Tsunade, Naruto deserved better, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Angst and Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Canon-Typical Violence, Gen, Mature, Team 7, Uzumaki Feels, Abandonment, Tsunade gives Naruto the personal talk he deserved instead of finding out from a chakra imprint when he was dying, so we stan, I love this fic

Summary: It’s just… he’d thought, given his fight against Neji and then his confrontation with Gaara, that someone would finally really acknowledge what he’d done.  That beyond Iruka-sensei’s crushing hug and Kakashi-sensei’s absent pat, someone would actually notice that he’d won against both of them.

That he’d beaten a genius on his own and then had battled another jinchūriki to a stand still.

So while he hadn’t really expected to be promoted too he’d still ...

i may be biased towards this because it was a gift fic from one of my favourite authors + mutuals ^_^ but... Beheld Through the Lens of Love by Nail_gun is literally the only offputting ryomina fic i would ever need if i had to pick one ... trans ryomina is always a win ! --- my second pick is 100% Edge Detection by AcceleratedStall, which horrifically only has around 50 hits !!! everyone stop reading this post and go read that right now !!!!!!!!! THE fuuka fic of the season tbh .. go read their other p3 fics while you're at it too! their jin & minato fic Down In This Hole is totally the runner-up here i love it so much ! --- finally ... last but definitely not least ... a glittering house of cards by dirtbagtrashcat . any fic that delves into ryoji's state of mind during november and december has instantly captured my heart, and i am waiting with baited breath for the third chapter !! get up to date with this now and join my eternal suffering waiting ! ^_^

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

i haven't had much time to write recently .. not even for mochizuki monday T_T !!! so my list of wips and ideas is vast and currently abandoned .. [imagine a tumbleweed here ..] but i'm currently swaddling both a christmasy post-seal ryomina fic and a ken & ryoji brotherly (like in p3:twm ^_^) fic close to me .. maybe they'll come out one of these days !!! i hope .. >_<

27. What is your most and least favorite part of writing?

hmm .. i love writing little interactions .. little twitches of movement between dialogue ! even if the dialogue itself isn't the best .. it's important to me that the reader knows, say, the character twists his hands in his lap; his eyesight unfocuses; or how his fingers scrabble against the table - the kind of motions you don't usually think about ! but i always have so much trouble coming back to a fic to write more of it ... everything has to be done in 1-2 sessions or there's a 90% chance it'll never get posted >_< it's why i only post, like, 1500 word oneshots :P

i know i'm the persona 3 poster and persona 3 writer and persona 3 fan .. but i'm so excited for persona 3 reload to come out and supplement us with so many more scenes to build upon and twist into whatever we like ^_^ !! especially the new male mini-links ! shinjiro's gonna take minato out for a meal .. i'll make sure of it !!!! at least in my fic if not in the game @_@ ...

The sky blue eyes of a young blonde stared into the sky, making shapes with the clouds inside of his head. He sat next to the entrance of the academy, in his left hand a sloppy handmade card with two stick figures drawn on the front of it.

Next to him was a tanned-skin man who stood with his hands on his hips, staring down at the card in the blonde’s hand.

He cleared his throat, “Did you make that, Naruto?”

Still staring up at the sky, Naruto nodded.

Iruka smiled gently, “Is there a special occasion?”

“It’s Mama’s birthday,” Naruto answered, finally looking over at his sensei. Iruka saw Naruto’s eyes light up at the mention of his mother. She was his idol and favorite person in the world. The blonde had always talked about her like she was a hero. She was the reason he wanted to Hokage someday and show the village how wrong they were about him.

A woman with fiery red-hair had come into view, running down the street, bumping into several men and women alike, yelling out apologies as they cursed at her. Hearing her voice, Naruto jumped up from his spot on the ground, running out to greet her, “Ma!”

“Sunflower!” She grinned. She learned down a bit, opening her arms wide. Naruto dashed into her arms, tackling her to the ground.

“Happy birthday, Mama!”

The red-head let out a laugh, sitting up while brushing the dirt out of her hair, “So you did remember. Then why didn’t you say it this morning before I dropped you off a school this morning?”

“Because I wanted to make this! Surprise!” He showed off the handmade card with two figures on it. She took the card into her hands, beginning to open it. Her son snatched the card, hiding it behind his back, “You can’t read it now! I put my heart into it, I don’t want Iruka-sensei to hear. It’s for you only.”

The woman let out a small giggle while climbing to her feet, dusting off her garments. Naruto clung to his mother’s side, snuggling into her waist.

She turned to the academy teacher, bowing lowly to him, “Thank you for staying with Naruto a bit later today. I owe you.”

“You don’t owe me anything, ( y/n ). Naruto is a good kid, and I don’t have an issue staying. We’re friends, ( y/n ).”

She picked her head up slowly, giving him a nice smile, “Thank you, Iruka-san.”

The blonde waved at his teacher, “Bye Iruka-sensei!”

“Goodbye, Naruto. Oh, and happy birthday, ( y/n ).”

( y/n ) bent down a bit, allowing her son to climb on her back, “Thanks. Naruto, let’s go.” Naruto wrapped his arms and legs around her, as she placed her hands under his thighs, walking down the road.

Iruka looked at the two of them. While he wanted to be furious for her being late...again, he couldn’t. If he could, he wouldn’t be waiting for her to come to pick Naruto up every day. He knew who she was and why she had always been late to pick her son up. He knew her well, they were childhood friends, she only a few years older than him.

The fiery red-haired woman was Uzumaki ( y/n ) The redhead was born in Uzushiogakure, in the famed Uzumaki clan. She had moved to Konoha when she was just an infant with her another Uzumaki. The woman was apart of the ANBU, she was even captain, feared across the nation. Just about any missing-nin knew her black and white kitsune mask that mimicked a lunar eclipse. When the mask had come into view, you would not live to see another day.

For such a feared woman, you would believe she was feared when the mask had come off. But to Konoha, she was a completely different woman. In her day to day life, she was known as the village’s brat and a mother.

When they were young, she often teased Iruka, but she was one of the only people who understood what it was like to lose your family. Which was why she told him the reckless plan she had made to adopt Naruto.

( y/n ) adopted the boy as a toddler when she could finally make it on her own. Many civilians had discouraged her from adopting the boy. She was too young to be anyone’s mother, especially not the mother of the child who carried the Nine-tails. She didn’t listen. Just because of what happened, he didn’t deserve to be without a family.

Iruka admired her for taking such a responsibility and promised her if she ever needed anything he would be there. Of course, her pride was too big to ask him for anything. She hated asking for his help. Even now, she hated that she had to ask him to stay a bit later with Naruto until she could arrive. He was also the only person who knew why she truly wanted to adopt Naruto.

( y/n ) owed her life to Naruto’s true mother. The other Uzumaki who had carried her to Konoha with her and refused to let her go, Kushina. If it weren’t for her, she wouldn’t be here.

As Kushina laid dying, ( y/n ) had promised the woman who she saw a sister that she would take care of Naruto until her dying breath. No matter what, she would keep that promise. It was the least she could.

Iruka smiled as he watched the mother and son continue to walk down the street. Even if he wasn’t her birth son, Naruto still looked a bit like her and adopted her personality. He was just like her when she was that young. He even adopted that same catchphrase and shared her old dream of being Hokage.

“I’ll be Hokage one day, Iruka-chan! Dattebayo!”

“I’ll be Hokage one day, Iruka-sensei! Dattebayo!”

‘You’re doing a great job raising him, ( y/n )-san,’ Iruka thought to himself, turning toward the academy and heading inside.

“I don’t remember you being this heavy, you know,” she teased.

“I’m growing up, Ma! Before you know it, I’ll surpass you and be Hokage!”

The woman laughed, “You? Surpass me? I love you but you got quite a long way before you even stand in an arena with me, Sunflower. I’d beat you with my arms tied behind my back.”

“I could beat you with just a finger, dattebayo!”

She tsked, “Challenging me? You got a death wish, Sunflower?” Her son continued on, basically giving away his plan to beat her. As she listened to his plan, she could feel eyes on them coming from both sides. She turned her both ways seeing citizens staring, muttering things under their breath, looking fearful of the boy on her back.

Naruto quickly caught on from her silence, looking out to see the townspeople, staring at him as if he were some monster. His smile quickly fell, his sky blue eyes looking down at the ground as he rested his head on ( y/n )’s shoulder.

The woman clenched her fists tightly, as she continued walking. She glared at the townspeople, sending chills down their spines, many cowering away in fear.

“They hate me, Ma.”

“I wish I could say it wasn’t true, Sunflower. One day they’ll see how amazing you truly are. Let’s just give them some time, okay? I think I have just enough money to get you a few bowls of ramen,” She mentioned, making him perk up.

She held up a finger, “Only if you let me see my birthday card.”

“Fine,” He huffed, handing her the card.

She had waited to open it. She had to feed him before she could read what it said. While he slurped bowls of ramen down by the pound, she opened the card. On the inside, one side had a sloppily made sunflower that was missing a few petals, on the other side was a long message for her.

‘I can’t really draw sunflowers but I tried my best. I wanted to draw one because that’s what you call me and have always called me because you said I looked like a sunflower. I know taking care of a little runt like me is hard, especially since you’re doing it by yourself. You always put me first. Iruka-sensei told me that you worked really hard to adopt me and make sure I wasn’t all alone. I know Konoha hates me, but you don’t. I know you try to shield me from it but I still see it. But I don’t need them to like me if I have you. Just give me a few more years and I promise I’ll make you proud, Ma! I love you. ― Your Son, Naruto’

She hadn’t noticed tears falling from her ( e/c ) eyes, on top of the card. Hearing her sniffle, Naruto placed his eighth empty bowl of ramen back on the countertop looking to his mother, “Ma...why are you crying? Do you not like it?”

( y/n ) looked up from the card to the blonde before pulling him into a tight hug, “I love it, Naruto. Thank you so much.” The young boy returned her loving embrace, sniffling into her shoulder just like he always did when he hugged her. His warm embrace reminded her of what used to be. These same warm embraces she used to share with Kushina.

Slowly she let go, ruffling the boy’s hair, “I see you’ve eaten a lot. Are you ready to go now?”

“No! You didn’t eat!” He pointed out, looking to the man behind the counter, “Hey! Old Man! Can you make one more bowl for my Ma?”

“No, I don’t need―”

“Don’t listen to her! She’s trying to be humble again. Give my Ma the best ramen you have. It’s her birthday today and she deserves it for putting up with me.”

She shook her head, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, pulling him close. She pressed a gentle kiss to his temple with a light giggle.

‘Kushina...Minato...forgive me for being selfish. I hope you don’t mind Naruto being my son too.’
