im not sure tht i ever posted abt this but i was side stage (rays side weeeee) when i saw my chem and when mikey and frank walked off stage and backstage, they had their arms around each other. like franks arm was around mikeys shoulder and mikeys was around franks. it was so. i am so. fragile.

i just need to talk about my chemical romance for a moment forgive me

so i saw my chem on october 6th in oakland and they played S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W and cemetery drive and that literally changed the trajectory of my life forever. cemetery drive is what i consider to be me and my soulmates song. when i was in 8th grade we used to skip school and get on the bus all the way to a different town and stay on the bus til it got back to our city. we would just listen to music and we would listen to cemetery drive. i remember telling him “this is my favorite my chem song” and playing in on youtube as we shared a pair of headphones. its been the song that i listen to when i miss him and i dont listen to that song without thinking of it, i  hold it so close to me because its our song. the day before our show my sister ended up buying 2 more tickets because we were having problems with ours. everything worked out fine and in the end my boyfriend and mom ended up being able to go since we had extra tickets. we were on opposites sides of the venue but when cemetery drive started playing i knew that he was thinking the exact same thing i was. it literally felt like a magical force was connecting us and our souls from opposites sides of the arena. in 8th grade and freshman year S/C/A/R//E/C/R/O/W saved my life. i had just come out as trans and was struggling so hard. i used to listen to that song in the dark of my room just crying my eyes out. the song gave me such a strong sense of hope that every time it came on it felt like there was a bubble around me protecting me from everything. i fell in love with the song and its become my favorite song in the entire world. it is still my favorite song in the entire world. right before it played, i caught a glimpse of gerards telepromter ad i saw the slashes in S/C/A//R/E/C/R/O/W i didnt believe it until the song started playing. i told my sister “oh my god i think they’re playing it. i think they’re playing it”. she couldn’t believe it either. my chem played both of those songs and it will never make sense to me how i got so lucky. i’m just so fucking grateful for this band and i’m so grateful that they played those songs. my chem gave me the strength to carry on (pun intended) and even if i have no one else, i still have my chem. my chemical romance is my favorite band in the whole world.
