Most of their conversations are deeply disturbing, to be honest. This one's the most uncomfortable for me. I can't tell if Anders is deliberately trying to be an asshole, or if the abuses he suffered in the past make him automatically distrustful of anyone who'd befriend/love a templar. Maybe a bit of both...

Like, I certainly can understand where it comes from, but... Yeah, I can at best understand it as coming from his own trauma, that because of what the templars have done to him specifically (and which is deliberately left vague in game), he’s not entirely forgiving of someone who would marry a templar... But at the same time, the specifics of it are what make me go ‘euugggggggh.’ Like, understanding why doesn’t excuse the action itself.

I mean, it’s one thing to condemn Wesley for being a templar on its own. But that whole ‘did he ever want to play the naughty mage and the hapless recruit?’ bit is just crossing a line. That isn’t just condemning Wesley (a man who died before Anders met Aveline) for being part of a fascist organization, it’s specifically invading on Aveline’s privacy, even her mourning. And not in the name of waking her up to the horrors of the templars, but just to attack her. 

Like it’d be one thing if he were asking how many mages her ‘good man’ ‘put down like wild dogs’ or something, which, while still rude, would at least be justifiable in the way of saying ‘whatever you thought of him as a man, he chose to be a part of this system.’ But this one? It’s just an attack for the sake of an attack.

There is always the possibility of a sequel, and plenty of potential for it, too! But for now, I’m going to let Rory and her gang rest on the longfic side of things. Always open for prompts, though - there are a few little details in the intervening years between this ending and the potential start of the sequel that would be fun to flesh out.

So uhm... not that I was planning it on making it so long but I didn’t had much time to reply in the first place, however, I am on summer break now so things will be somewhat easier, even though i’m still living a busy life! Maybe too busy for a teenager/adult like me

Thank you! ^-^ I’m looking forward to it as well! It’s going to be a hell of a road for the two of them, since I kind of gave away already how different they are compared to most kids and how they do create a really nice balance, friendship-wise.

I think this is such a sweet and thoughtful story. In particular I love how you've kept the sims relatively MM without being... well, tapioca. They're all quite pretty. Mortimer reminds me of the Bug-Catching Kid from Legend of Zelda 3. xD

Oh god you’re right XD I didn’t even think of that! The only thing they don’t have in common is : 1. where the fuck is Link. 2. He’s not in bed ^- ~

Anyways! Thanks! That really means a lot to me! :) I do know that the other story won’t be as MM and gameplay-ish as this one. I didn’t want people to somehow get confused with the both of them being the same thing. So that would meaaaan Greenie’s gonna test those Photoshop skillz which she doesn’t have but somehow does! :D

Thank you for tweaking the hell out of Bella but still leaving her looking like Bella. She looks pretty hideous as a child and makes a horrific adult, but there's nothing some TLC won't cure.

Oh god she does! I actually compared Original ts3 bella with the sims 2 bella and I can see what EA tried to do but... it really didn’t turn out as good as thought probably. Which is funny! Because sunset valley is like filled with pudding and unique sims! Which makes me wonder if EA let 2 people create the assigned sim, or just a sim in general whereas one would make unique looking ones, while the other person would make... crappy ones. Who knows!

For the one I have though... I aged the adult bella down, tweaked her jaw a bit since it was a bit too much for a child. And... yeah! Then i also realised how I don’t have much makeup for kids at all XD I mean... facial-defining one, like, say cheek shading etc.

i have the same difficulty to get a tan! in the first day i look like a shrimp (really red!!!) and after that i turn back to snow white!

I feel so bad for people who get reddish instead of tanned once they touch the sun! Or... wait the sun touches them... I’ll shut up :P

Anyways! have a free hug! (As long as you’re not sunburnt! That wouldn’t be too pleasant >.<) Because I feel really bad for you! 

For me though... I... just don’t tan. Like there’s no reddish, or well, I get a little, almost not recognizable, reddish, and the day after I’ll still be white as snow! I do have cute little freckles on my hand though! :D

2. Favorite piece of CC? Why?

My single favorite piece of custom content is probably the pose player by cmo. I realize and respect the fact that it is entirely possible to tell a fantastic sims story without using poses, but at the same time they just add so much depth and variety to people’s screenshots and open up an almost limitless range of possible emotions and situations for writers. Honestly I don’t know that I would still be playing this game today if it weren’t for poses.

8. Current goals with your blog?

Finally let Madeleine have her baby. :D

But no, in all seriousness, I would really like to make more friends around here. I don’t know if that qualifies as a goal for my blog per se, but it’s sort of my general ongoing ambition as part of this community. I have had many people reach out to me over the years to comment on my writing or offer advice on one of my creations or even just randomly drop into my inbox to give me some words of encouragement, and it’s occurred to me lately that I have not been very good at paying their kindness forward. However, that is something that I definitely intend to work on being better about this year.

25. How would you describe the community and your experience so far?

I love it here. I mean, yes, I’ve had my moments of frustration and doubt, but for the most part I have found this community to be a wonderful and supportive environment for me. I don’t know whether I’ve just been lucky or whether other people have had a similar experience, but in my opinion simblr is what you make it. There are definitely some not-so-nice sims players out there, but from where I stand it seems like the number of genuine simmers who are here to share their game and make friends with other like-minded sims fans far outweigh the number of assholes in this community.

Finally, as a sims storyteller, I will forever be astonished and grateful that I’ve found a few people who are willing to read and give me feedback on my writing. That to me is nothing short of a miracle, lol, and I appreciate it so, so much. Perhaps it’s giving me rose-tinted glasses when answering this question, but it is truly the one thing I have never found anywhere else.

30. Are you WCIF friendly?

I am not WCIF unfriendly in the sense that I’ll be rude or obnoxious about it, but I am very very VERY slow when it comes answering them. Another thing that I need to work on improving this year!

- Trees wip 2 -

I’ve tweaked the red Bougainvillea tree a little, which indeed was incredibly dark! I am thinking of maybe changing the leaves of it into something more brighter... But I think i’m quite happy with the results so far! They look way more realistic-er compared to EAs. However I do need to tweak the red maple tree and the green one with some more shadings because right now they look like dots and probably give the orange tree some more yellow-ish to it so it has some more contrast

I like the after much better. I would darken/deepen or intensify the color of the Bougainvillea tree without making it brighter (if that makes sense). Great start!

My vote's for the darker, as well. I agree that the color on the after!Bougainvillea tree should be more color popping, though you're definitely the expert on how that happens.

Probably the worst post to reply stuff on right now, but thanks! :) I brightened it a bit, or... more  Bougainvillea-ish since the actual ones are quite bright by themselves: 

So the leaves are a tad too dark, so I’ve got to change that... But I have to say, the  Bougainvillea tree was a PITA to edit!

Once upon a time, I was tagged by @justkeeponsimming, @sandy-sims, @mckatsims and @experimentalsims to do the Fanmix Your Simself Tag and I actually finished it! Thank you for tagging me guys!

This was harder than I thought, I had to dig through the music I no longer listen to because I couldn't think of anything at some point xD In a few days, it's gonna be two years since my music taste changed. I went from girly pop songs to symphonic metal in a blink of an eye. But I still kinda like the songs I listened to in middle school. Memories. Aah. Even though my middle school experience was pretty bittersweet but oh well, it's in the past, I am happy now. Fun awkward fact: I wasn't sure what falls under oldies rock (I'm bad with genres, like really bad), so I just searched for an oldies rock playlist on Spotify and picked a random song that I know and enjoy when I hear it xD Btw. I don't sing Best Song Ever in the shower anymore, though I remember doing that xD So awkward.
