I was trying to find a (somewhat) comprehensive list of MCC curses and couldn’t find one so I’m making my own!

• Captain’s curse: CaptainSparklez’s inability to win an event, broken in MCC22

• Ranboo’s 3rd place curse: Ranboo has never been on a team that has placed higher than third, he has been on third place teams in MCCs 15, 17, 18, 20, and 28 (ironically 1/3 of the events they’ve been in (5/15)). This was broken in MCC29, ironically the first event of season 3. Yet their team lost dodgebolt so they’re still a loser /lh

• Jack’s dodgebolt curse: the man has never won a round of dodge bolt. His teams made dodge bolt in MCCs 15, 21, 24, and 28 and have been 3-0’d every time.

• Fruitninja dodgebolt curse: Fruitberries hadn’t won an event since MCC9 despite having been in dodgebolt 5 times since; this was broken in MCC26. Illumina didn’t win an event in season 2 despite consistently being a top 5 player and making it to dodgebolt three times.

• Shelby’s curse: she hadn’t won an event since MCC5 despite having played in every canon event. This was broken in MCC26.

• The Krtzyy curse: they haven’t won an event since MCC1 despite being in many events and consistently placing in the top-half. This was broken in MCC29, also the first event of its respective season.

• Every 7th event breaks: with an event of this scale, it’s impressive that technical difficulties are this rare. The server has had something go wrong every event with a number divisible by seven. MCC7 had Battle Box needing to be reset due to lag, MCC14 wasn’t as technical but Ace Race was scuffed because people took a wrong turn, MCC21 had a few smaller issues and numerous pauses for players being disconnected, and MCC28 had the server going offline in between games twice.

I’d also like to mention Oli “Cursebreaker” Orionsound: man’s been breaking curses left and right. He was teamed with Jordan, Fruit, and Shelby when each of them broke their curses.

What's this? Not 24 hours before the event?

If this is the first post you’re seeing of mine, hi! I have made a lot of CaptainSparklez’ team’s skins, ever since MCC14 (links: MCC15, MCC16, MCC17, MCC18, MCC19, MCC21, MCC22, MCC23, MCC24, MCC25, MCC28, MCC30, MCC31, MCC32, MCC33, MCC34, MCC Party, MCC35). On occasion I’ve also made skins for other teams, such as the Red Rabbits of MCC Rising. Feel free to share this, just tag this post so that it links back to me. Thank you! Ok, more below the cut.

Yeah so I'm back to not really shading. I forgot my previous method of shading until just now. I'll have to try it again next time because I'm certainly not going back to fix it now.

MCC Kickoff is on May the 4th so of course I had to do Star Wars themed skins. They're force ghosts! I thought it worked well with the whole aqua thing. But I do realize it's a pretty radical coloring so I did make alternate skins which are not blue.

Personally I prefer the force ghosts though. Oh and yes, I did still include an axalotl on the back. Admittedly this is probably one of those times where I shouldn't have but it's a trademark. Have to be consistent.

Okay, onto individual breakdowns.

Starting with PeteZahHutt. Originally I was only going to make PeteZahHutt a jedi. But I liked it so much I ended up doing it for the entire team. PeteZahHutt's jedi outfit is most based off of Obi Wan's outfit.

Next up, fWhip. fWhip has short boots and a longer coat. fWhip also lacks the tabbard (I think that's what it's called?) that PeteZahHutt has. Also, the collar is more symmetrical. Fun fact, it was while working on this skin that I decided to make them force ghosts.

Mythicalsausage has armor. Originally the chestplate was actually longer but it didn't really look right without a belt. So I made it shorter and added a belt. The wrist gauntlets are also a bit of a stealth reference to the fact that Mythicalsausage often has a pipboy on his regular skins. I tried it without the symmetry but it didn't look as good.

And finally, CaptainSparklez, who gets a vest overcoat thing. I would say it's probably closest to Anakin's outfit? CaptainSparklez and Mythicalsausage have lighter cloaks than fWhip and PeteZahHutt. Oh and CaptainSparklez has a shorter cloaks.

i had feelings about MCC!Tina but i was never really able to put it into words. you said she got screwed over - can you elabourate? was it the teams? she seemed to be put on teams where there were multiple new-ish people so no one was able to explain how things worked, or were there other things that did it?

yeah it was the just teams - she has been in 3 mcc's so ill break down those teams <- warnign this is very long

she was treated only as a balance or weight, instead of a competitor who wanted to compete fairly and have a chance. It was completely unfair and upsetting to watch someone beat themselves up over teams that weren't their fault. She had two of the worst statistical teams since balancing started and had zero chance of being in a top 5 team in any of the mcc's she played.

the first one was mcc22 - her, foolish (new), michealmcchill (avg. placement of 25-35) and Sapnap. 2 new players (extremely rare), one C tier player, and one S tier - they had no chance of getting top 6 and i'm impressed they didnt come last. <- to put this into perspective on a team with one new player its normally expected to have 3 pretty good players, they had 1.

mcc23 was her, dream, connor (avg. 37th), and foolish. its foolish's and tina's second game. This is the one that pisses me off, they were predicted last in 6 out of 8 games, they were the worst statistical (avg score) of the season by an absolute fucking mile. they had a 6709 score average, the rest of the teams were 7.5k+ with half over 8k. They had zero chance of getting top 6 and it was incredibly impressive they got 8th (dream got the highest carry % in the season, getting 42% of the coins for the team). <- normally if tina and connor were on a team together then it would be with 2 S tiers, not someone who was playing their second canon mcc.

The last one was pride (so non-canon, zero reason she couldnt be on an op team) and...... drumroll..... she was with sykkuno, valkyrae and lazarbeam. 3 new people. she had to lead the team despite having an avg placement of 39.5 <- unheard of. I know she's close with sykkuno and valkyrae but there is no reason the 4th couldnt have been dream or at least not a new player. They came last, understandably.

So, tldr. an average team makeup is of tiers S/B/B/B or A/A/B/B or S/A/B/C. tina was on a S/C/new/new team, then S/C+/C/C then a C/new/new/new <- no other player has had such bad teams EVER.

what are your top mcc teams/teammates that purpled has been previously paired with?

oooh okay so number one by far obviously has to be mcc31 (walli, sniff, velvet) because walli & purp is an INSANEE duo. or wait maybe mcc22 (tommy, captain, oli) is number one i love goldenduo AND cap's first win. after that mcc21 (5up, tubbo, jack) HAS to be up there because i love 5up & purpled and so does mcc25 (jack, ranboo, sniff) just because their dynamic was SO much fun. i think if i had watched it live, mcc30 (ant, gumi, velvet) would be up higher but it's still in the top 5. ant, 5up, and walli are some of my favorites that he's been teamed with, but honestly tommy & purpled is an unexpected mcc duo that mighttt be my favorite

ok my thoughts on the all things mcc video

why would u mention the iron doors I'm still not over that dumbass room

there was like. a full minute of George running the ravager pit and while I'm full well an enjoyer of his SOT plays it was a little less than a quarter of the video about someone else

They mention how he's changed the game, how his strategies are incredibly important, and then... don't mention his most powerful strategies?

For instance, assigning everyone a tunnel to run based on their skill level and experience. It's something that makes his team more efficient, and people use it even afterwards when they're teamed against him. It makes this incredibly dense game a lot more manageable.

As a runner, I think that his decision-making is something that can be highlighted as well—he argued all the time with H about the best way to run tunnels, and his plays are incredible because they highlight his incredible balance of risk-taking and skill. I'd point to him switching off with George in MCC All-Stars, where he knew George wasn't confident enough to do the parkour to the gold key so he swapped out with him, or the MCC22 parkour run that made everyone in their vod reviewing vc stop and yell at him.

Idk I think Dream's genius isn't really told well watching one run or another, it's little moments and then the game-over-game consistency with which he (and his team) performs. He's turned SOT haters into lovers/tolerators (see: benchtrio) just by teaming with them and explaining the game. 4 minutes definitely isn't enough to show just how cracked he is, and while I respect the quality of editing and time it takes to gather clips for this video, I just don't think it does him justice at all

When and why did you join bootwt? I started watching Ranboo in late January of 21 and started watching him every day and I was already heavily into dsmptwt. During the trevor project subathon I started talking more in their discord and followed more "ranboo centric" accounts

Why did you decide to join the Bootwtdoes Charity Event? I saw how successful the first campaign was and wanted to help another, also I'd never heard of first nations development institute before, but looking into them made me want to help even more

What is your favorite Ranboo moment?none let me escape aaa/j Either the mcc22 intro (<3 mikuboo for life) or the final scene of genloss

What is your favorite bootwt inside joke? idk if it counts as an inside joke, but i LOVE the enderman particles! Just these little chaotic guys telling ranboo to lick tables and throw coins at him

Kara- 26+: her team won the very first MCC but she hasn’t won since, despite having been in 26 canon events

Jordan- 21: he participated in 21 canon events before winning for the first time in MCC22

Shelby- 20: she won two events in season one before hitting a streak of not winning for 20 events in a row, this was broken in MCC22

Krtzyy- 17: they won MCC1 along with Kara and had a similar pattern of not winning for the rest of seasons one and two. However, he participated in less events and was able to break his curse in MCC29

Ranboo- 16+: he has been in 16 canon events and have not yet gotten their first win.

Pearl, Puffy, and Quig- 15(+): Pearl has been in 15 canon events and have yet to win. Puffy won her first coin in MCC6 and is currently at 15 canon participations since without another win. Quig participated in 15 events between his victories in MCC5 and MCC23

Jack, Martyn, Tommy, and Wilbur- 14(+): Jack has been in 14 canon events and has yet to win. Martyn participated in 14 events before winning his first canon event in MCC23. Tommy participated in 14 canon events between his wins in MCC4 and MCC19. Wilbur has won twice, but not in any of the 14 canon events he’s been in since MCC12

Sylvee- 13: she participated in 13 canon events before getting her first win in MCC18

Fruit, Jimmy, Pete, Punz, RyGuy, and Vixella- 12(+): Fruit participated in 12 canon events between his wins in MCC9 and MCC26. Jimmy went 12 events before getting his first win in MCC14. Pete has had 12 canon participations since his last win in MCC17. Punz had a similar situation to Fruit between his victories in MCC13 and MCC28. RyGuy won MCC2 and has not won again in his 12 canon participations since. Vixella has been in 12 canon events and has yet to get her first win

DrGluon, Gumi, James Turner, Joel, Niki, and Zeuz- 11(+): DrGluon and James have participated in 11 events together and have yet to win. Gumi has been in 11 canon events and has yet to get her first win. Joel went 11 participations between his wins in MCC10 and MCC25. Niki participated in 11 canon events and has yet to win. Zeuz was in 11 events before getting his first win in MCC21

Fundy, Oli, Scott, and TapL- 10(+): Fundy won his first event in MCC6 and did not win again in his following 10 canon participations. Oli went 10 events before he got his first win in MCC22. Scott had 10 canon participations between his wins in MCC18 and MCC30. TapL has also been in 10 canon events since his win in MCC12
