Bestie i am in need of assistance, i tried posting on my blog and its been ten hours and not a single like :<

(the post was how i need a proof reader and someone to help with brainstorming and a couple general outsider views) for a fanfic i'm writing i want it to be generally big, maybe larger than 50k-70k words (not sure yet) right now i mainly need someone to help with brainstorming. i was hoping you could help??? It's a "Jason The Toymaker" fic, and if you can't find the time to help it's perfectly fine, but if anyone else would like to help my dms are always open! there are a few (negotiable) requirements though.

i don't have much of a deadline but i'd like to get the first chapter out in like 4 months give or take so there's some time i guess in case you need to think about it or anything, i haven't really thought of a schedule yet but that's something that can be worked out.

I feel like the appeal of C! Quackbur (to me at least) is just how versatile it is as a ship and the range it has.

You want a subtle rivals to lovers, mutual pinning and longing but one of them is repressing his own feelings because he hates himself too much to let someone get attached to him ship dynamic with a political backdrop? You want longing gazes, knowing looks and the unspoken truth that, maybe, just maybe this relationship and understanding between them goes deeper than either of them let on or want to admit? BOOM. Lmanburg election arc Quackbur!

You want all of that but with more tension, high stakes, mental illness, a very "forbidden romance" vibe with an enemies that have been in love with eachother for a long time but can now finally be on the same side and possibly act on their feelings dynamic (but theyre doomed by the narrative so it was never going to work out. Or maybe it will, who knows. Maybe this time they find solace in eachother. Maybe this time Quackity stops him before its too late. Maybe this time it doesnt end in flames. Who knows. Its up to you really, if you keep telling the story over and over again, maybe this time they get their happy ending here and it doesnt have to be a tragedy. Your choice really). Pogtopia era C! Quackbur!

You want fucked up grief and angst and reminiscing on the past and being haunted by what could have been? You want seeing the spectre of your dead friend (if he was truly your old enemy, why does he feel like a past lover to you) and wondering if maybe he remembers everything you both went through the same way you do and if maybe his heart aches when he sees you the same way yours aches when you see him but you know he isn't the same and you'll never see the old verison of him ever again... but hes here... as a ghost.. and that has to be worth something right. (Is it a miracle you can still see him or are you forever being tormented by what you can never have?). BOOM, Butcher arc C! Quackity and Ghostbur (or Aftermath C! Quackbur as I call them)

You want all of that, but hey. What if we brought back the guy. What if it didn't have to end in death? What if they could reunite and speak again after everything? Would they even get along? You want the culmination of years of pinning, grief, hurt, and mutual obsession? Do they truly love each other, or have they fallen in love with the idealised verisons of each other they have in their own heads? Maybe this time, they'll actually get their shit together and talk. There really isn't anything stopping them now, other than themselves and each other. Maybe C! Quackity finally finds someone who respects him, is dedicated to him, and can engage with him on the same intellectual level in C! Wilbur. Maybe C! Wilbur finally finds someone who makes him feel human and can challenge him and his more self-destructive behaviours while still loving him in C! Quackity. Maybe this time, they get to understand each other, and they get to heal. Maybe this time, it's not too late, and sure, they dont have the healthiest relationship, but they're working on it, and they're okay for once. Just this once. Maybe. Or maybe you don't want that. Maybe it is too late for them. Maybe they'll never have what they once had, and they're both left with bitter hatred and longing for the past that grows weaker by the day as the rose tinted filter starts to fade. Maybe they make each other worse. Maybe the closest they ever get to being close to each other is by hurting each other. Maybe the only times they hold hands are when they're catching each other's bloody fists. Maybe they're both too far gone now. Maybe they've hurt each other too much to ever be vulnerable with each other. Maybe it's just too late for them. Maybe it was never meant to be. You want a joker card ship dynamic that can either end in healing and a happy ending or in an even more fucked up tragedy? Or both! Why not. BOOM. Post revival C! Quackbur

okay so a headcanon

Quackity does pole dance, but Wilbur instead of only seeing it as something sexual, he mostly sees it as some sort of art like ballet, something gracefull. Of course, sometimes he gets aroused and he always is blushing, but he is usually just blushing from looking at Quackity doing sonething he sees as so dificult.

Wilbur admires Quackitys habilities, and sometimes Quackity tries to teach him a bit, and after sometimes Wilbur learned just a bit, like how to climb the pole, how to go down (wich i think he learned a sometime after learning to climb, so usually Quackity would have to help him get down, and now Wilbur sometimes Wilbur acts like he cant is "afraid of the heights" and he needs Quackitys help, just so Quackity would carry him down) and like really simple postures, but its nothing near how professional Quackity is, espcially since Quackity does phisycal things daily and Wilbur just does that when he is with Quackity while Quackity is doing something physical

I love this as a concept, and the first part is absolutely true

BUUUUUTT - and here's some random Fern trivia - I actually do pole, and I'll be honest, Wilbur is not learning to climb without determination. The very beginning your skin hurts like an absolute B I T C H. Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he couldn't do it - it's not impossible, obviously - but if it's just him learning a couple tricks, then he's not gonna learn to climb, especially if we go with the hc that his body isn't in the best shape post revival

Also he'd have to jump down and have Q catch him, cause I can't imagine the amounts of leg and abs strength it'd require to go down a pole while holding someone else in your arms--

Also pole isn't that high off the ground, and always during practice you'll have a mattress underneath, so jumping off even from a higher point is usually safe. And before climbing you learn to sit, and alongside that you pick up on how to safely jump/slide off a pole from lower heights

But like in all fairness I'm being mostly pedantic, cause pole is my favourite sport ever, and I had to temporarily give it up recently, so now I'm hanging onto any chance to talk about it lmao--

so a recent discussion i had led to a revelation about one of the things that, at the heart of it all, i love about engspa. one of those big things that compels me most about these two. and it boils down to something relatively simple, now that i've reflected on it.

antonio as spain is a romance nation, and over the years that label has been one he has worn not always willingly. it is indeed a tiring thing, that expectation he feels from others. there's a pressure to that label to be someone who takes the lead, takes initiative, instigates, courts, performs the gestures, has the ideas - and it weighs him down after a while because it all feels so one-sided. he wonders why it has to be him. why the label of 'romance nation' means that he has to take the lead with romance when maybe he wants someone else to do that for him. when he wants to be the one who feels loved, pursued, wanted, and so on.

enter arthur. someone who wants to be seen as a gentleman, as mature, as good. i think he takes to romancing in a way no one else has for antonio and the label that antonio bears just... disappears. their romance and their love feels more like duet than a solo. arthur shows he is willing to be a romantic from the very start and, though perhaps a bit baffling for antonio at first, he falls fast for the man who shows he cares. the man who asks how he is, who learns his music, who listens, who spends time in private with him, who'll pick him a rose - or a whole bouquet - and who kisses him not out of obligation or performance but out of instinct. because he wants to and loves to and also understands that physical contact is important to antonio.

arthur alleviates some of that pressure for antonio, and has found someone willing to let him be the romantic he is at heart. arthur can be himself with antonio, just as antonio can be himself with arthur. love is in every gesture and word and moment that they share. and antonio feels that love without having to search for it. for each other, they are a breath of fresh air.

i think that's just one of many things i love about them. arthur, the romantic, the gentleman, the understanding. antonio, who loves loving someone who loves loving him, too. their love is made easy. it is easy to love each other. and that makes their love strong.

I know there is no way #quackity or #quackityStudios are going to see this but as someone who lives 20 minutes from a pokemon center (alongside a patreon) i'm BEGGING for them to do plushies. Plushies of eggs in every event skin. Different signature hats.

People LOVE the egg designs. They LOVE how cute they are. Tiny egg plushies. HELL. BIG EGGS. That would be about the size the eggs would be for cosplayers that could be expensive.

The amount of people I see leave the pokemon center with multiple of the same pokemon in different plushie form is crazy and if it was FUNDING the admins and not a big corporation??? all the better.

now that's an interesting question... i saw this and thirty minutes later there was this thing in my google docs so uh. this was fun!

There’s an angel at spawn. It’s… something. Something divine, something beautiful. Something terrifying, maybe. Betty’s never been the greatest fan of those who liken themselves to gods, who make and remake themselves in the image of divinity - it rings false. But nonetheless it’s there, stone and brick and so many colours, and it is weeping, fallen against an obsidian box and though its face is pressed against the black stone she can still feel its cold gaze as she walks around spawn. She doesn’t know why, but it makes her think of grief.

And it’s not…

Gods aren't exactly new here. There's the Church, built so long ago, honouring a Saint, and now his face floats in the sky above the building and maybe that’s a little like worship?

It doesn’t feel the most godly of places, though. 

There’s also the Orb. She doesn’t know much about that. Blue assured her it’s not exactly a religion, but… gods don’t have to be worshipped to exist, and the thought of it sits vaguely uncomfortably in her mind.

Maybe it’s to be expected. She’s not exactly human - the red horns on her head speak clearly to that, as do the sharp teeth hidden under her mask - she’s more human than some, sure, but she’s certainly nothing close to heavenly.

And she definitely hates the idea of worship. It’s expectation, its devotion not freely given - and she knows what it means to be devoted, she knows what it means to put another’s life above your own time and time and time again and to care so much it hurts. But devoting yourself to a god - no. It’s sickening. There’s no reciprocity, there’s no care, there’s no -

She hates it.

And it’s not just the gods themselves on this server. So many teams draw upon their language, these words of worship.

Atlahua.

Elysium.

Pantheon.

Atlahua worry her the least. They’re fun to be around, those of the group she’s met.

Elysium and Pantheon are another matter entirely.

Elysium, the name itself…  Betty knows her mythology. She knows what it means. She doesn’t trust anything that claims itself to be a paradise. The golden gates of heaven would be marred with blood. There’s no place untouched by suffering.

She doesn’t trust them.

… And Pantheon.

Many different meanings of that word. She’s not sure she likes any of them. They don’t seem to view themselves as gods, but… intentions aside, that team is something else. Not something she wants to think about too deeply.

And they built the angel above spawn. There’s things she could say about that, but won’t. The fact itself is probably enough.

God I hate national broadcasts so much.

What I want from national broadcasts? The same kind of energy when I was at the wild game. Just a Little avs fan hanging out with a season ticket holder seated next to me. We shared things about our teams that the other person didn’t know and were nice and complimentary to the other team. That’s what I want. None of this “this team was spanked last night” or “I don’t know if I’d have confidence in Georgie about the west” nonsense that tnt’s been spouting.
