reread the end of the tiefling fic again and first, I have GOT to get around to writing some more fic in that universe, and second, I need to figure out how to frame original work in that tone. like it is so important for my health. this is what I've been missing from my writing routine recently, just long-running soapy fantasy melodrama. I have the perfect world and characters for it but they need to be fleshed out so badly and I'd really have to build and establish a lot of foundational world elements that I haven't actually nailed down, but man, I neeeed it so bad to live.

today is the first day in a very very long time that i woke up on one of my scheduled days off and didn't feel the Work Panic set in and it's... very surreal. things are quiet. i feel like i could actually read the books i bought months ago or work on the personal projects that got sidelined last year.

not going to elaborate more beyond "working a bit too much overtime and now a year's gone by somehow" but wow,,, maybe i will do an activity for me today ?? the possibilities ...

#don't get me wrong i love my work #but uh #my mental clock is still in march 2023 #and now it's july 2024 #and i've not really done a thing i wanted to do during that time span #didn't get around to watching the many anime i wanted to binge or play much of the video games i bought #i have books collecting dust on my shelf that i bought last year and still haven't touched #and all the art and projects i wanted to do last summer are still fleeting concepts in my head that never had time to make it to paper #maybe this summer i will see about actually taking my weekends off instead of compulsively working during them anyway dfjkhgdkj

When you go on walks, what’s your favourite part? Mine is when I find one of the rivers or small streams nearby my house. Or when I get to meet some new dogs- or when the temperature is just warm enough to bask in whilst the trees are rustling because of a strong breeze. Maybe my favourite part is the walk itself, I like walking places. Problem is I always need to have a destination in mind.

the weather is getting nicer so its the best time to go outside and poke around for some new visitors ^_^

#i think i overdid it drawing this but i havent drawn birds in so long that it was a nice exercise....#actually im thinking of resuming my mspaintbirdies blog.. unfortunately my tablet is ass and i dont like the new ms paint #so ill probably use procreate.. does this mean i would have to change the url...????#idk if i wanna go with this style or use flat colors.... theyre both good and i wanna switch between them but i also want consistency #i did paint a mandarin duck for a school project with flat paints but its much harder so ill probably have to play around with it #we get dark eyed juncos in the winter here and goldfinches in the summer.. ive been meaning to visit the conservation area #more often bc there are more species there like nuthatches and chickadees. maybe i can rent a camera for photos #but id really love to visit vancouver again especially since they have stellers jays there. theyre one of my favorites <3 #ask #answered #doodles #birds #yapping #sona #puppysona

Recent-ish things ~

#photo diary #1 - love this image of Noodle.. such a weird angle that makes his head look entirely round like a puff ball or something #2 - a more recent (still from months ago) collection of my pressed flowers and 4 leaf clovers I found.#3. Being one of the only people in 2024 still going 'hee heee I've just bought a new wii game!' but.. I have. >:3 #It's kind of like Wii Sports Resort but is like.. open world? so your character can actually walk around and stuff. REALLY makes me #wish I had the type of set up where I could record video from my wii and stuff like some gaming youtubers have. I think it'd be a really #fun game to play on video and to DOCUMENT it!!! I keep wishing I could screenshot my little guy walking around but I caaant..#I've literally just been taking out my phyiscal camera and photographing the screen which always looks bad.. augh..#4. Something in the froxen food aisle called 'Wellington Bites' a play on beef wellington. suprisingly good actually. but I guess anything #with like beef and mushrooms usually is. But it seems like.. oddly decent for frozen food stuff.#5 - boye looking Round again.. 6 - updated score in the wii fit minigame again. This time less than 4 seconds #for each round? which may be a record for me? 7 & 8 - fat bird in the snow. fatt bird in the SNOW!! Hoping that climate change and H5N1 #don't eventually remove all trace of birds and winter weather from my life in the future... -_-#9 - ..ough... a few paltry writings.. Except for the one day of 4000 words. But for the most part I have been making soo litte progress #because of the holidays and drs appointments and such a rush of all these other mind distracting things.. Or if I'm not doing something the #I'm feeling tired from having PREVIOUSLY done something so I waste the whole day being sleepy and headachey... GRR...#the funny thing is that like many many years ago I wrote a note on my wall saying 'FOCUS! write 2hr a day or more or youre going to finish #your game in 2025!!!' - which back in 2018 when I wrote it was like unimaginably far into the future but now... ahem.. hem... I guess that #is quite literally the case LOL. To my credit I did parctically abandon it entirely since late 2019 and JUST now picked up really #trying to focus on it in mid 2024 but still... My '''ridiculous'' projection being actually likely the correct one..#10 - I just thoughtit would be silly to put a bunch of keychain things on the wii remote. imagine playing this way. getting constantly #jabbed in the hand by plastic bits. and the jingling clinking noise it would be always making lol #11 - sky.. huzzah for the sky as always. Clouds my beloved #Gr.. I just really want to wriiite. My new years hopes are to finish my game and to get stuff set up to start selling sculptures again.#AND then maybe do more game videos lol... I miss playing games. I dont think I've posted on that youtube for like 5 months #I've just had so much appointments and Things and Stuff and focusing so much on other projects. (also btw, i'll go on an mild hiatus in september until june 2025 not just to work on d.d, but also because I want to finish art school to get a diploma & that i'm going to go on vacation to stay off the internet for a while.
