She’s a little dazed, herself.  Gazes, not quite at Garrus, but rather beyond him, eyes unfocused. Blast like that, of course it would throw her off balance...

& then, slowly, she begins to grin, and a laugh bubbles up from her chest as her eyes focus. On some instinct, she rests a hand over Garrus’s, almost as if to press it closer, both of them gloved and all, for battle, not quite sure why she’s doing so, not quite sure why Garrus is holding her face like he is.

Concern, she thinks is what’s there, or disbelief. But she can’t stop giggling.

Did she run in the way of a literal cannon? She did. In a very look at me, I’m a target! manner. Would the projectile have gone straight through her shields and severely injured, if not killed, her, had it hit? It would have. But the trick was, don’t get hit. The trick was, make the automated cannon target her when she stands right in front of the explosives extending to the tunnels, get out of the way in time (she had dived, thus the both of them now sitting on the ground), projectile hits explosives, explosives go off and take down the tunnels and the remaining Collectors within...

All in all, solid thinking on her feet, good plan. Reckless, out of character for her? Yeah. Exhilarated and giddy from the adrenaline? Yeah.

Steve starts debating with Eddie about music as a joke. He likes watching Eddie go on his passionate rants about the things he loves. The intensity in his eyes is as addicting, as his voice is a balm on his soul. Which is to say a *lot*. The thing is, is he doesn't actually know much about music. Like he knows a lot of terms by osmosis from simply knowing Eddie and Robin. But he doesn't actually know what they mean or how to use them to describe music. So he ends up just using his feelings to describe them. He thinks Eddie is just humoring him when he makes a show of considering his words. He assumes that the ones that end up on the mixtapes Eddie makes them to listen to when they're together, are just a mix of songs that Eddie tolerates and the handful of metal songs Steve has admitted to actually liking.

But Eddie, he's actually taking their little debates more seriously than he did all 3 years of senior year *combined* . He's absolutely*enamored* with the way Steve describes music to the point that he actually manages to convert Eddie on some of the billboard hits. He starts making mixtapes of all the songs Steve converts him to and the ones he catches Steve humming as a sort of love letter to him. Steve is absolutely floored the first time he catches Eddie singing along to an ABBA song. He's completely awed the first time Eddie actually requests a tears for fears song and even sings along with him.

I've been seeing a lot that people are really surprised and upset that pissvortex got banned, and while I think it's fucked up and shitty that he did get banned, I also don't think it's very surprising because- and here's something I think a lot of non-TERFs don't understand- TERFs navigate this website very differently from the rest of us. The standard reaction to any non-TERF encountering a TERF is to block them, and generally not engage. You know, we have block lists of TERFs that go around. TERFs themselves, they don't really do this shit. They don't have huge block lists of trannies- I mean that would be like 80% of the fucking site- what they do is they keep watch of accounts that they really fucking hate and they hang out in their little discord servers because they're petty and vicious and have nothing better to do than fill their lives with poison and venom, and they harass you to provoke you, and when you say some shit about how terfs should kill themselves or be scalped, they share it around between themselves and mass report it. And absolutely no large social media website, not Tumblr, not Twitter, not Facebook, is going to see a post that received hundreds of reports where you said that somebody should be scalped and think, "Oh but was the other person being like a real huge asshole though?" That's not how they work. They just ban you. Whatever moderator is managing that shit does not care enough to look into the larger societal wide context of why you said that. I'm not saying this to say that you should be kind to or play nice with TERFs, I'm just saying this so that you can perhaps have an awareness of how some of your posts may look to a moderator who's received hundreds of reports about them. They're playing a different game, so play smart

It was Maid Day today yesterday a week ago so I got struck by inspiration to draw the worsties, and it ran away from me into a whole AU where they’re coworkers at a maid cafe. She’s a med student & this is just a part time job, and this is his depression job while he gets his life back together. He needs something he can be workaholic about to forget what it’s like having a personal life and personal issues. He’s actually the accountant, but the new hire janitor (Izutsumi) doesn’t show up for half her shifts and is a sloppy worker, so he gets the extra work of doing her job on top of his because he’s undervalued and overworked. Of course, janitors also have an uniform to keep the aesthetic cohesion as they go about cleaning the place, of course.

Senshi’s the part time cook you only see slivers off, he’s kind and warm when you do see him and have a chat but most shifts he’s in and out the kitchen without a trace. Laios and Falin are regulars because Falin and Marcille are besties & in the same med school, Laios accompanies Falin as she visits her friend at work and gets hooked on the food. Chilchuck has to remind Marcille to work instead of chatting with Falin for an hour, and next thing he knows she’s distracting him from work too. That’s it that’s the AU. Inspired by this idol AU fanart a bit <3

This was not meant to be birthday gift but well…… Happy bday Chil!!!
