I also think something that happens WAAAAY too often in fandom is, forgetting that canon and fanon are two different stuff! And not everybody is into the fanon takes.

Sometimes you have character who in canon are a bit cold and distant, and in fanon are like super evil.

Or characters who have two lines in the show but end up being fandom's fave little cinnamon roll.

And suddenly there character have a whole variad of traits assigned by fandom that were never in the show!

Well... not every fic writers is majorly involved in the community's character creation process. They might despict this character differently but still abiding to canon, even if it's nothing like fanon... and that's valid!

If keeping a character 'in character' is VERY important to you, you may wanna go rewatch the source material every so often to make sure you know what that even is!

And honestly.... I wouldn't give it too much importance at all. Nobody is purposefully miss-representing a character. If they've written a character in a way you think doesn't make sense, it's probably because they read or perceived that character different to you and it really shouldn't offend you.

I have a lot of feelings about the rise of he would not fucking say that attitudes in fandom spaces and the paralysing effect it can have on creators. As a writer i think it’s important to just write what feels true to you and not what you think others will “approve” of. Like even as a reader i have enjoyed a variety of different characterisations that all work because the writer makes them work for a particular story. And a fic that’s written out of character to some will be in character to others. Writing fic is not your job you’re not being paid it’s your hobby please. Make them as close to canon as possible. Make them completely different. Who cares! Have fun! Have so much fun! There is an audience for every kind of fic and every kind of character interpretation i promise

Powder took Ekko to a place that was important to Vi. After she lost her, it became a place of remembrance for her sister.

Now for Ekko it's a place of remembrance for Powder that he met, for Jinx that he learned to love and for what could have been.

It's just beautiful how much memory this place holds and how special it is to all three of them.

im thinking abt how anya was the one to mainly take care of curly when he became so injured.

how she likely did a lot of "invisible" work, stuff that she has to monitor around the clock. like changing his bandages, maybe washing them to reuse assuming pony express didnt have as much as curly would need in his condition. having to feed him, probably intravenously, and clean him and his bedpan up later because, you know, just because youre burned like that doesnt mean that you suddenly dont have to use the bathroom anymore. checking his vitals. maybe even talking to him to see if hes still cognizant, if not to keep him company.
