i am very much into subby men so really i can't see some of them as alphas yk? i will forever push the sub endo agenda. for. ever. like while i think he would help you out during your heat in chikas absence, i think that if you're not with chika he's the one getting dicked down. beta endo perhaps? hm. (betas aren't talked about enough imo) or just a very very kinky alpha that doesn't act like one in bed. same with sakura i feel like, too inexperienced to take much control so you end up topping him. when you suggest it being the other way around he says no because well, you're already used to this routine so why change it? he secretly likes seeing you above him. but we can all agree that some of there are beyond just feral during their ruts. chika, for instance, fucks like a madman during his rut, madder than usual. like absolutely wrecks your whole world, goes for hours and hours but then right after. he's back to normal again. will just have you seated on his lap with his cock still in you (has to make sure everything stays in yk) and he's doing whatever on his phone. any and all of umemiyas thoughts go out window too, just fucks you like there's no tomorrow, he doesn't think once during the whole thing and manhandles you like crazy. oh he's so rough during his rut, absolutely animalistic. same with kaji!! kajis kinda a mix between umemiya and takiishi honestly. yk nirei could be my little omega boy, need more omega men honestly. he'd be so so whiny and whimpers the whole time. he always complains about how it's too much and you need to slow down but completely panics and damn near cries if you slow down a bit.
not sure about some of the others, a lot of them could honestly be one of two things.
oops, i think i went on for too long, sorry. this was just the tip of the iceberg
and could i be (o)mega mind anon? (see what i did there)
You definitely didn’t go on too long I‘m loving it. Beta Endo 🤭 or just a very submissive alpha you’re right that’s awesome. I like to think although Sakura starts off inexperienced, eventually he’s just as feral as the other guys with time. Definitely likes you being on top tho. He gets to see the faces you make and play with your chest there’s very few downsides here. He’s got the flexibility and strength to fuck up into you easily when your legs start getting weak or he’s just impatient.
Umemiya, Chika, and Kaji definitely are rough. Like you cannot move by the time they're through. Ume and those hands that bend fences…i know there’re bruised fingerprints everywhere and he’s looking both pleased to himself and apologetic to you. Chika just cockwarming you after and screwing around on his phone 😵‍💫 like you’re not in a puddle rn and Kaji 🫣
Oh Nirei is totally the sweetest omega ever. Scent him up and he’s got the dopiest smiliest face on him and he’s the most relaxed he’s ever been
Betas don’t get talked about enough!! *looks at Mino and her beta angst* 👀✨ I think Sako would make a good beta and everyone thinks Kiryu is one cause his scent’s a bit different but I think he’s an alpha 🤔 at least to me. Momose’s an omega for sure

PT.2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Waking up in your bed you could sense something was wrong…it looks like your hide out in Miles’s universe. Soon you got up and went to look outside then sighed. “God damn it im back here…Where’s pops? Rem you seen him?” Remi shook his head no until the door opened and you saw Miles staring at you. “Hey…” “HOW ARE YOU HERE!?” “IM NOT SURE! ONE MINUTE I WAS ASLEEP ON MY BED AND NOW IM HERE! WHAT THE FUCK!”
Miles sat down beside running a hand over his face and you confused on how the hell you got here. “Maybe your a mutant? You did say that your mom had some powers to teleport to different universes so maybe you got them?” “I doubt but that is an option…I’ll just stay here until I find a way home” Miles nodded his head as you two sat in silence. It was very peaceful and you liked it a lot.
Soon you and miles got up and decided to walk around town. “You know I was planning on visiting I just wasn’t sure how to get to ya” “understandable, I’d be more surprised if you open a portal in the middle of my room” “sounds like me, hey how is Gwen? She said she’d visit us but I haven’t heard or seen her” Miles sighed sadly which you knew that he was in the same case as you, you honestly found Miles and Gwen adorable with each other. They seemed like they’d have a long lasting relationship or get into a long relationship. “She hasn’t visit or talk to me, I know it can be tricky but she’s done it in the past but recently she just stopped” “hey at least you get to see her, she hasn’t even visit me!”
Miles chuckled sadly knowing you were right, he’d thought Gwen visit you as she said she did and spoke of all these fun events with you that made him jealous. He sorta hates that Gwen was lying, if she didn’t do all those things with you then…who was she actually with? He didn’t let it show as he’s just happy to see you after so long. “You still got your sparky?” “Of course! What about you Y/N? Still got your magic touch?” “Bitch please…of course I do!” Miles chuckled a bit ruffling you hair as you swatted at his hand.
He’s kinda happy that only he’s been able to see you after so long. It makes him have so much pride in his chest! He’s clearly your favorite now as he’s the only other Spider-Man you’ve seen after so long!

I feel like the Parappa fandom doesn’t talk about the I Scream album enough cuz like I’m reminded of it ever once in a while and it’s just wild- just look at some of the actual lyrics from some of the songs under the cut:
No Cuttin’ Corners (Remix of Got to Move)
“I stay away from fights/ I'm kind of scared of the dark/ so sometimes I need a night light“
(It’s even funiner when you see this line preformed live by Dred Foxx at this one promotional event and he’s not doing the Parappa voice- and he just sounds so professional and does it with a straight face- like that could NOT be me in that postion, I’d be cracking up on stage lmao) “Who said, that drugs was cool?/ Get away thugs, stop sellin' at my school“
(Parappa is already a trippy franchise while everyone is presumably(?) sober, I wonder how more tripped out you can get that Parappa Town Weed™) “Only things I shoot are hoops in basketball/ I'm asking you all, if we're our future why you wanna shoot us?”
(It honestly feels weird to have the concept of gang and/or school violence be in a song from a frachise about a rapping dog who’s most intense storyline is saving the world’s food from being turned into noodles. (Or I guess Lammy slipping on a banana and going to hell? I guess.))
Why (Remix of Taste of Teriyaki)
This is just Shower Thoughts: The Song, but this line is I wanna talk about-
"And how come people die?/ And where do we go, from the sky?”
(I’m guessing Lammy didn’t tell Parappa what happened on her way to her show. (Or maybe the US version is canon to this.))
The New Plan (Remix of Baby Baby)
“I'm coming through/ representin' Sony PlayStation to the fullest”
(I feel someone at Sony told them they had to say the word PlayStation like at least 10000 on this album cuz they say it like they get 10 bucks per mention and rent was due. It’s not just this song, I just had to point it out somewhere)
“Captain Fussenpepper tried to run up/ try to stop the come up/ from sundown to sun up, yellin'/ tellin' us our band is a nuisance/ so I bit him in the seat of his new pants“
(PARAPPA BIT THIS MAN’S ASS, PASS IT ON)
This is just some of the wild stuff on the album, there’s still alot of crazy stuff on there and I wanna know so bad....
Why?

Simblr New Years Resolution 2024
Thanks for the tag @nitrozem!! 🧡
What's your Resolution for your Simblr?
I'd like to go back to posting 4 times a day, like last year. And bring back my Nightmare Legacy Challenge. Also, I have on my to-do list to change my current theme. I've had this one for a couple years now and I feel like I need a change. Would also love to make custom pages for the family trees, instead of having just pictures for it.
What do you want from the Sims Franchise?
I thought it wasn't a lot of things until I started listing them. xD But I'd love more pets, smaller ones like birds, turtles, snakes,... and while they're at it maybe make them not attached to the cages. More instruments and a band career or group or something. Cemetery lot, I just want a place where I can put my sims' graves without it being a park. Spiral staircases, I really miss them. Remember that time they talked about a Grim Reaper career? That too.
Any other New Years Resolutions?
I say this every year but I'd like to try and draw more. Last year wasn't so bad, but I want to try doing it even more. Also sculpting. The last few sculptures I've made have been commissions, but I'd really like to sculpt something for myself. I have such a big sculpture wishlist. xD
I'll tag @cantseemtohide, @kissalopa, @akitasimblr, @illuminated-foxx, @bakersimmer, and @gerbits (feel free to ignore if you've already done this or prefer not to! 🦊)

I know confessions are over but It's crazy how good is Tom in interviews. Keep watching these actors doing interviews a none of them are at his level. Understandable why Tom's interviews get millions of views. Tom could have a future as a TV host, if he wanted to.
I still remember the rumors he could be hosting the Oscars, and most of the people thought he could do a great job. SNL is another thing I hope he does one day, maybe after his run on the West End, he feels comfortable enough to do it.
Hey Anon! 👋🏾😃
I don't think your ask needed a "Confession Sunday" tag (imo) lol, but anyway lol....
No I agree with you, Tom is great at interviews! 😃 I think we should all just go ahead and crown Tom the "King of Rizz" and get it over with by now lol. 😅
Keep watching these actors doing interviews a none of them are at his level.
Lol Idk which actors you've been watching interviews of, or who you're comparing Tom to, but I think it's good to keep in mind that Tom is an outlier.... He's not the standard. I think a lot of fans keep trying to compare other actors out there to Tom in interviews, but you have to keep in mind that MOST actors are NOT going to be "Tom Holland" in interviews. I don't even think I would want EVERY single actor to be Tom Holland in interviews tbh lol.😅 You need diversity.
There are actually very few actors who have that type of level of charisma in interviews. Interviews are actually quite daunting for most actors because a lot of them are shy or used to playing a different character onscreen, but not really opening up in an interview and being vulnerable. Even the greats like Leo, River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, etc... A lot of them are actually quite reserved or don't even like to do interviews lol. Many great legends of actors out here were awful interviewers, but GREAT actors onscreen. 😃
Then, you have some actors who are both... The ones who seem really charismatic (aside from Tom) are Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, etc.... Some of the GOATS that I mentioned are just a big ball of charisma. But not all of them are like that. Nothing wrong with that! 🤷🏾‍♀️ I just think it's good to recognize that they are an outlier, but not the standard.
I still remember the rumors he could be hosting the Oscars, and most of the people thought he could do a great job. SNL is another thing I hope he does one day, maybe after his run on the West End, he feels comfortable enough to do it.
Ooof.... At this point, I don't think I'd want Tom to host either. 😔 I never was a fan of anyone young hosting the Oscars (I think the James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting fiasco is still etched in my brain somewhere 😩). Plus, I can't imagine all of the backlash he would get. 😩
But at the same time, lately, it seems like everyone HATES SNL (especially after Timmy's episode 👀), so while I would have wanted Tom for that show in the past, I'm guessing now wouldn't be a good time for him to host a show like that. 😔
But Tom definitely has the charisma for live TV and comedy. I guess having a comedic father helped a lot lol. 😅
Let's find him something else that he can host that isn't the Oscars or SNL lol.

I think with the general public Ferrari is going to be received like Blackhat and some of its most piercing insights and subtext will go unremarked upon even by critics who should be able to intuit the figure in the carpet by now, I.E. that Mann has been making "deconstructionist antiwar films" with extraordinary consistency since The Jericho Mile. (I used that phrase as a joke with a friend last night but upon reflection it works pretty well lol.) In 10-15 years people will maybe see it better for what it is, as has been the case with a lot of his more recent work. People are also going to harp on his casting the way they did with Blackhat even though he makes these decisions for calculated and, again, consistent reasons that have to do with Hollywood as an industry and the manufacturing of stardom. This is a guy who has historically made very active use of intertext and audience expectation in who he pursues and ultimately casts (Caan, Pacino, De Niro, Cruise, Foxx, and definitely also Hemsworth who at that time was very strongly associated with his breakout role as Thor).
Cut for very mild spoilers:
After the tragic crash that ends the Mille Miglia, which Mann represents with unsparing brutality, much of the film's third act revolves around the investigation of the crash and whether the deaths of women and children will affect Ferrari's bottom line. Winning the Mille Miglia was the company's last gambit against impending insolvency, and though they have won, they may need to take on outside financing regardless in order to save the brand. It is clear that a potential mechanical failure also weighs on Ferrari's conscience, but when it is discovered that an external impact and not the tire's construction resulted in the accident, he quite easily compartmentalizes and rationalizes his role in the carnage. The car itself was just an instrument; it functioned as intended and in fact the only way it could be expected to function; blame lies on the other side. These things happen and it is part of the deal and cannot be helped.
I also keep thinking of a scene in the garage where he is talking to an old friend and close confidante. There are pigeons in a hutch right above where one of the cars is being worked on, and said confidante says that he accidentally left the door open and none of them have flown away because it's like they don't even realize that it exists. Ferrari suggests that the reason they don't leave is because "leaving" as the pigeons see it entails being turned into pie filling, so they ought better stay inside the hutch where it is safe.
Lots to think about after just this first pass and I've been steeping in those thoughts all day. And much more, inevitably, to organize upon subsequent viewings. I'll come back to this in December.

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
Tumblr media
It would be difficult to find a revenge action film more preposterous than Law Abiding Citizen. This picture has a grudge against common sense and intelligent thought. As such, you often have difficulty predicting where it will go next. It isn’t that it’s clever or full of unexpected twists; it’s that the directions it chooses are so obvious you think “There’s no way this is where it’s going”. That mindset will cause your brain to start connecting dots that were never meant to be connected. To its credit, the story - as ridiculous as it may be - is engaging as it plays out but you would never be able to defend this film as "good".
During a home invasion, Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is forced to watch as his wife and daughter are violently murdered. Afterward, Clyde is outraged when prosecuting attorney Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) informs him that Clarence Darby (Christian Stolte) is about to receive a reduced sentence for testifying against his less violent accomplice, Rupert Ames (Josh Stewart). Embittered by this betrayal of justice, Clyde spends the next ten years plotting his revenge against the men who took his family away, and the system that didn’t punish them adequately.
The vigilante Death Wish genre is taken to an extreme with Law Abiding Citizen. Though the film isn’t as gory as anything we might see in any of the “Saw” films, the horror franchise’s influence is unmissable. Clyde is a galaxy brain genius, the kind that’s playing 4D chess while you’re playing checkers. He’s got robots rigged to assassinate his targets, can somehow coordinate a half-dozen operations from within a prison cell and uses a voice synthesizer to lure his prey into torture dungeons. He's amassed a fortune and the mechanical know-how that ensures the police are powerless to do anything but play by his rules.
It’s difficult to tell who we're supposed to cheer for. The home invasion - which happens about 15 seconds after we’re introduced to Clyde’s wife and daughter - is the kind of crime paranoid delusionals would have nightmares about but could never happen in real life. There isn’t an ounce of humanity in Clarence Darby because we’re supposed to cheer as he gets tortured to death. Nick clearly doesn’t care about anything but his conviction record (which should be easy in this case, one look at Clarence and any jury would sentence him to the gas chamber) so you won't shed any tears if he gets turned into chunky salsa either. Yet at some point, the film decides Clyde is “going too far”. He turns into the villain and we're suddenly supposed to be on Nick's team. You think it’s a deliberate reversal, or maybe all part of Clyde’s bigger plan. Maybe he knows what he's doing is wrong so he’s setting himself up to die to complete his masterpiece Seven-style. It’ll all be worth it because he’s building “a better system” through Nick or something. No, that’s just you being smarter than the movie and thinking you see patterns where there are none.
The film's broad and ridiculous characters perfectly match the absurdity of Clyde’s intricate revenge plot. When the movie lays all of its cards on the table and tells you how he managed everything… it doesn’t make any more sense than before. Even if he could keep track of every lawyer, judge and police officer in Philadelphia (which can’t be that big of a city if we’re to believe this film) the amount of things that could’ve gone wrong, that go wrong but shouldn’t, that don’t go wrong but should will have you picking chunks of your brain from the ceiling.
Despite (or maybe because of) the unconvincing performances (people underreact to what’s going on constantly) and sloppy writing, Law Abiding Citizen maintains an energy that prevents it from ever being boring. At one point, we’re told that Philadelphia is paralyzed by fear. Parents are scared to bring their kids to school, everyone’s paranoid about who’s going to be next, etc. Why? Clyde might be a madman but everyone should know EXACTLY who he’s going to go after next. He’s only after people he feels wronged him ten years ago. Unless you were the judge, the attorneys present, part of the law firm or one of the officers who botched the evidence retrieval (don’t they always in these kinds of movies?) he wouldn’t lay a finger on you.
Wacky morals, combined with a sloppy story make Law Abiding Citizen into a film that has the potential to be “so bad it’s good” if you’re in the right mood. I got some chuckles but nothing to write home about, so I’ll just call it bad. (December 3, 2021)

Preview time! This isn’t for the eminent tale, but I wanted to show off some Foxx since a few people mentioned him in the replies to a previous post. This excerpt is right from the start of the tale and I feel like it should give readers some idea of what to expect in terms of case and plot, though obviously not everything there is revealed in this. This was also largely taken from a previous iteration of the tale that changed somewhat, so some things are obviously subject to change.
Probably the biggest lie Aleksander Foxx was ever told was that children were dumb. Children lacked context for a lot of things, though they could hardly be blamed for that, but that didn't mean that they were dumb. They were quick to notice patterns and had good memories for things of perceived importance. Foxx was quite glad his daughter perceived his comings and goings as something of import, but there were nevertheless times when that worked to his detriment.
Daaad, are you coming home on time today? Daaad, where were you? Daaad, were you with that pretty lady? All questions he had to fend off without lying to Lucille, which came down to him always saying he was 'at work.' Not a lie, of course, but the little girl didn't know what that meant and was harboring a resentment toward that fact. That resentment only grew each time he stayed at work later than he said he would.
She didn't even think it was a cool job, either, just a mall cop for a plastics company. Why couldn't they have given him Smith-Campbell Petroleum as a job instead? At least that explodes.
So, as Aleksander made his way down to where they kept the medium-risk humanoids, he found himself frowning at his phone. Even if he did have a good excuse to give her, something was jamming communications out of the site. Or he was just underneath several meters of solid concrete. Or both. Aleksander let out a deep sigh. Lucille knew how to hold a grudge, and being late again with no new mom to show for it would certainly be something worth being upset about. That girl had certain expectations for her dad. She was anything but stupid.
"Ooh, Mr. Foxx, is that, like, a motion tracker or something?"
This kid, on the other hand, might have been a bit of a moron.
"No, Daniel, it's an Android." Aleksander held up the phone to show him. Though, maybe he shouldn't be too harsh. Iris barely knew what smartphones were, and she was a smart kid. She'd just been locked up for a while. "Uh, how long have you been here, Daniel?"
"About eight months."
Aleksander squinted. "Riiiight…" Well, the 'break glass in case of emergency' list of anomalies he got from Andrea can't be filled with nothing but idiots. Although, it was supposedly just a list of people Iris rejected. Well, she can't have rejected them all for the same reason.
You can't set up a team and expect everyone to be perfect, that's why it's a team in the first place, he thought. Like Ocean's Eleven, but with Aleksander as the George Clooney character. Who's also a lot like James Bond, since he's so good at everything. Well, like James Bond except in how everyone around him dies. So he's more like John Wick since he has a dead wife, right, and Lucille is like his dog who he loves. Though Lucille would probably not want to be compared to a dog. That and the fact that, uh…
"So, uh, Mr. Foxx?" Daniel snapped Aleksander out of his thoughts. "I'm really, like - I mean, thank you for grabbing me for this." Speaking a little soon, there. "But, what are we doing again?"
Aleksander stroked his chin. "Heh. Our mission, as it stands, is to liberate the North maintenance control terminal from the hostile invaders." 'Liberate' was a good way to say 'shoot everyone in there with a pulse' to someone like Daniel, he figured.
"Oh, so… no hostages to save?" Daniel slumped over a little bit as he trailed behind Aleksander. Whether that was because he'd have no way of directly seeing the results of his actions or because he wanted other people to see him, Aleksander didn't know, and didn't particularly care.
"No, Daniel," Aleksander said, slowing his pace down to stand next to Daniel and leaning in. "The whole site is being held hostage. Right now, the fire suppression system is active. All the power doors in the facility are shut, and only the bad guys can open them from there." He hoped he was doing a good job walking the tightrope between instilling enough urgency in the kid and scaring him. Luckily, it seemed like he wasn't quite smart enough to realize that meant there was no backup coming and the 'bad guys' had inside knowledge of the site's layout and procedures.
"Oh, yeah, okay." Daniel nodded, taking in the information, and slowly turned to Aleksander. "So… what exactly do you need me for?"
Target saturation. "Oh, come on!" Aleksander clapped Daniel on the back. "Who wouldn't want Cactusman on their side?"
As expected, Daniel took the bait, smiling and failing to ask any follow-up questions. Attaboy.
"Now we just need one more member of the team," Aleksander said to himself as he peeled off to take a closer look at a heavy door sunken into a wall. "Daniel, you keep a lookout, okay?" He said as he rummaged through all the loose bullets he had stuffed in his pocket until he was able to produce a crumbled-up sheet of paper, its condition only made worse by the other inhabitants in the pocket. He squinted at its half-faded writing. Four, something, five, something.
Daniel poked his head down the threshold - in the opposite direction of where he'd need to be looking to keep a lookout - and smiled. "You're grabbing Rainer for this, too? Wow, it's like our own superhero team!"
Aleksander cringed at the comment in place of Iris, who had once prattled on and on to him about how annoyed she was that some Lenny girl had said something similar to her. But, hey, at least he knew he was in the right place. Iris had also complained to him about someone named Rainer whose application she rejected. Well, she had complained to Andrea in both cases, but Aleksander was nothing if not observant. Which was different from being nosy.
"Uh huh." Aleksander squinted at the control pad. Biometric locks, even if it did only want a fingerprint. "I need a key. Watch the door, will you?" He walked past Daniel to a security room across the hall, stepping over the broken glass from its shot-out window. Peeking in, he saw a guard slumped motionless on the ground. Bingo.
Crouching down next to him, Aleksander pulled out his combat knife (that he was finally going to get to use!) and tried to remember how to take someone's pulse. Not that he didn't pay attention when Jackie was going over first aid with everyone, no… Well, a little, perhaps, but that was because stone-cold killers like him were more concerned about stopping pulses than restarting them. Wasn't it, like, under the arm? He pressed two fingers into the guards arm underneath his armpit and counted to ten. Nope, nothing.
"Oh, Mr. Foxx, I don't think you need a key for this door," Daniel said. "Look, there's no keyhole or anything."
"Uh, no, you need, like, a finger." Aleksander was only half-focusing on responding has he felt up the guard's bones. "It's a fingerprint scanner."
"Okay, I get it!" Daniel's chipper tone made Aleksander stop what he was doing and peek over the broken window. "I can get it, don't worry!"
"Wait, Daniel, if it's the wrong one it'll shock-"
"Aaaaaaah!" Daniel screamed, startled by the shock.
"Aaaaaaah!" The guard yelled, starting awake.
"AAAAAAAH!" Aleksander shrieked, jumping backwards.

Rosé is sick but she’s a teacher so of course they won’t just let her take the day off
“Don’t you dare wake her up.” Denali hisses as a group of students barrels through the door to the choir room. They’re instantly silenced by the sight of the teacher next door sitting on the edge of Rosé’s desk, two big brown eyes set with fear-inducing determination. She watches as they come in loud gaggles and immediately stop to stare at her with wide, curious eyes as if they’ve never seen her before. She motions for them to take their seats, crossing her arms and watching them shuffle awkwardly to the chairs arranged around the piano. Some take out their uniform black binders and hold them tentatively in their hands, exchanging looks rather than words. Taking one glance at Denali, however, their binders are put back in backpacks with painstaking precision.
Denali hops off of Rosé’s desk and peeks into the hallway before shutting the door, turning around to get a good look at the kids staring back at her. There’s a lot of them. She assesses the full space with what she hopes is an air between intimidation and friendliness. She’s not sure how to work this room; she’s never taught this many students at once, maybe not even in her regular and private skating lessons combined. But the eyes that stare back at her don’t seem disrespectful or even remotely sassy, just concerned. They flick between her and the slump of a human being laying at Rosé’s desk, ginger hair splayed out along its surface. She’s sure they’re even able to hear the not-so-graceful snores coming from that direction as well.
“Okay, uh…hi! I’m Miss Foxx. As you can see, Rosé isn’t doing too hot. She tried to call off but admin told her they can’t get a sub here until next period and to just teach until then. I mean, do we think that’s possible?” She scoffs and a couple of the students chuckle under their breath at the way the words had spit like fire. Denali shuts her mouth, taking a breath to refocus. “ I currently don’t have a class but if anybody asks you I am at office hours and I am totally accessible, and Rosé was here teaching you the entire time. In my terms that means I’m taking charge so my friend can nap and get better and all of our lives will be easier so you don’t have to deal with a sub for more than a day or two. So that I don’t have to deal with a sub for a day or two. Im relying heavily on you as the angels I hear through my wall to be mature enough to respect that sometimes, we have to bend the rules a little bit to make them fair and humane. Do we have a deal?”
Fifty silent head nods. A good ratio of shit-eating grins to match her own. An entire room of teenagers is on her side, and she internally pumps her fist at the triumph of it all. Looking upon the rows of students she walks for a moment, stopping in front of the third section of kids, mostly female presenting.
“You guys are the altos, right?” They nod, smiling, a couple whispers of yeah thrown in for good measure.
“Okay, then you’re in charge. What are you working on?”
She looks over in time to see three girls in the far left section roll their eyes and holds her finger up to the alto that was about to speak, making her way over to stand in front of them.
“And you thought I was going to put a soprano in charge? Honey, I may be an art teacher but I’ve done some singing before. I want you to get things done efficiently. Do you think I’m going to let the section that usually carries the melody dictate what needs to be worked on? Probably not. I respect everyone’s  right to have an opinion but you’re all working this period. Rosé didn’t work herself into the ground so you could blow a class period on your phones.”
They do a fairly decent job, she thinks, although she spends most of the class period walking from group to group and listening to them whisper-sing harmonies she’s not even sure are right in a language she’s sure they’re not pronouncing even remotely correct. The last quarter of the period, she rallies them to the opposite corner of the room and demands a copy of their sheet music, rolling her eyes.
“We’re working on pronunciation. There’s about two of you who have functional accents and the rest of you are floundering. We’ll pretend that this wasn’t her attempt at teaching you the words correctly because if it was I’d have to disown her.”
In the middle of their work a tall blonde points enthusiastically at the door, shooting up from her seat and racing over to Rose’s desk. Denali is just able to make it there and shake Rose awake before an administrator walks into the room in company of an unfamiliar face. She waves brightly, turning her attention to the students.
“It looks like class is almost over-thank you, Rosé, for inviting me to teach the Spanish pronunciation for this song. Everyone sounds great now, it’s going to be a show stopper for sure!” She’s a bit overzealous and it definitely sounds out of character to her own ears, but then the students are thanking her and the administrator is nodding approvingly between the two of them.
“Smart of you to bring someone in who speaks the language-we’re lucky to have an array of talent in this school, that’s a definite!”
She can feel the eye-roll Rosé is dying to let out and covers her own snorting with a fake cough, shuffling her way to the door.
“Feel better, Rosie.” She smiles sympathetically, turning the corner to her own classroom.
It isn’t until Rosé has been home for an hour that there’s a knock on her door. Wearily, she lifts herself from the couch and peeks out of the peephole to find a big paper bag sitting outside of it, not a person in sight.
With careful curiosity, Rosé pokes at the bag a bit at arms length. Deeming it harmless, She tosses it on the kitchen table, ripping it open.
There’s two big cylindrical containers, hot to the touch, along with a box of crackers and a bottle of ginger ale. She’s rooting around in the bag for some kind of card when her phone buzzes.
Feel better and come back to school please, I’m dying over here. Your kids are great but your sub has no idea what he’s doing. He wouldn’t even let me have snack with him. Super lame. Take a long nap and get well soon, I don’t know how long I’ll manage without you xx

REVIEW
Shifting Love by Collected Authors
Being on the ARC readers list for an author can sometimes provide a collection of authors that include new authors along with tried-and-true ones. This shifter short-story/novella collection includes a variety of types of shifters who meet their match in a number of different and sometimes surprising ways. It has plenty of tropes and fun stories to devour.
BEAR CLAW BAKE OFF by Robin O’Connor
What could a hedgehog and a bear have in common and how WOULD that work if they were to be fated mates? Joe, a bear shifter needs money to fulfill his dream and build a bakery while Neely the hedgehog just wants to do something well enough to impress her family. Little did the two know that their off the charts chemistry would see them winning more than they thought they would!
MISS SHIFTER AMERICA by Lisabeth Chretien
Miss (human) America has nothing on the pageant put on by the shapeshifting women. I can’t imagine what such a gathering would be like and how just one could be selected from so many! Elle and Poppy are there to win a crown but might win much more than that when they finally spend some time together.
RENOVATIONS PRINCESS by Minda Knight
A princess with a bad social persona and a horrible fiancé is required by her mother to co-host a reality TV show. Princess Lucinda and her co-host Asher are in for a lot of surprises and when the attraction hits in a no-win-forbidden situation…well…can a commoner and a royal find a way to be together?
CATCH ME IF YOU CAN by Serafina Jax
This one reminds me a bit of Survivor, Hunger Games, and the Bachelor-ette TV shows but with shifters in starring roles. Nova is a strong Alpha who has a bad hand to play and a dilemma to deal with before she can save a few she loves and claim her mate(s).
And…the rest will be read at another time…perhaps one a night as my bedtime story.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Did I find authors I would read again? Yes
Thank you to the authors and The New Romance Café for the ARC – This is my honest review

Get Ready to Shout "Amen!" to the Hilarious "Not Another Church Movie"
Tumblr media
Yo movie lovers, get hyped for a comedy that's about to have you saying "Hallelujah!" with laughter. We're talking about "Not Another Church Movie," a laugh-out-loud flick starring Jamie Foxx, Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Daniels, and even Mickey Rourke! This ain't your mama's church drama, folks. This movie is about to serve up a side-splitting good time with a story that's both funny and thought-provoking. Mark your calendars, because "Not Another Church Movie" rolls into theaters nationwide on May 10th. Briarcliff Entertainment just snagged the rights for this domestic release, and trust us, you won't wanna miss it. Kevin Daniels Becomes Taylor Pherry The film stars Kevin Daniels as Taylor Pherry (yes, the P is silent, just like in the movie!). Taylor's a hardworking dude with big dreams, but things ain't exactly going his way. That is, until he gets a divine intervention... literally! Yep, God himself (played by the one and only Jamie Foxx) appears to Taylor and gives him a mission: to share his family's stories and inspire his community. Sounds like a pretty noble calling, right? Wrong. Because as Taylor gets ready to answer his holy calling, the Devil (played by the ever-so-charming Mickey Rourke) decides to throw a wrench in the whole plan. Looks like a heavenly battle is about to go down! A Star-Studded Family Reunion But Taylor ain't gotta face this holy mess alone. He's got a whole crew of family and friends by his side. Vivica A. Fox is sure to bring the drama (and maybe some sass) as a family member, and the cast also includes Tisha Campbell, Jasmine Guy, Kyla Pratt, and Lamorne Morris. Basically, it's a family reunion that's gonna be equal parts hilarious and chaotic. This flick is directed by Johnny Mack, and let's just say, with a cast like this and a director known for his comedic timing, "Not Another Church Movie" is a recipe for side-splitting laughter. The producers are already praising the film, calling it one of the funniest experiences of their lives. And hey, if it's good enough for them, it's gotta be good, right? Briarcliff Entertainment is the company bringing "Not Another Church Movie" to the big screen. They've got a knack for picking out films that'll have you rolling in the aisles. Just recently, they released the crime thriller "Marlowe," and they've got a whole slate of upcoming movies that look action-packed and thrilling. But for now, let's focus on the hilarious chaos that's about to unfold in "Not Another Church Movie. Whether you're looking for a movie with a message or just want a good belly laugh, "Not Another Church Movie" has something for everyone. With its stellar cast, hilarious script, and unique blend of comedy and faith, this movie is a must-watch. So grab your popcorn, round up your crew, and get ready to shout "Amen!" (and maybe a few other things) when "Not Another Church Movie" hits theaters on May 10th! (Source: Deadline) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OupH2LOFM4g Read the full article

Burn My Skin - Part I
Pairing : Cordelia Foxx/Goode x Fem!Reader
Words count : 2144
A/n: This was previously published in an old blog of mine, however I’m editing all of my stuff from the zero. Sorry for any grammar errors, English ain’t my first language :)
Part II
Tumblr media
You've been at the academy for a year now, you arrived at the same time Zoe did, she was your first real friend and currently the best one, you trusted her with your life, she was one of the best parts of that place. You're used to getting along with everybody, except for Maddison, she was a spoiled bitch, always awakening the impatient and rude side of yours. You got to the academy after accidentally settling fire on some things in your old house, starting with a dish cloth. In the beginning your mother said it was normal since you couldn't control it yet, she even tried to help with your new powers, claiming that they were a gift you had inherited from your grandmother, unfortunately an eventual panic attack lead you to entirely lose control which ended with a whole kitchen on fire. Your mother felt for you, sadly informing that you couldn't stay there till you fully learned how to control your abilities, but that she knew a perfectly safe place for you.
After explaining everything you needed to know, finally giving you the privilege of learning about your family and acknowledging the existence of witchcraft, your mother made the phone call that would change your whole future in a matter of hours. Myrtle Snow knocked on your door, sweetly greeting you as she informed you'd have to go with her. You were grateful for the conversation with your mother, you've heard of things you didn't even know  that existed, but after a bit you got excited to the idea of being a witch. During the way to the Academy, Myrtle gently explained you'd have the opportunity to control and develop or even discover new powers. Occasionally solving a few doubts here and there, making you entertained all the way to the beautiful, huge house. Just when you came in, a few girls dressed up with long capes and black masks tried to scare you off, however you just laughed at their little show.
" Why didn't you get scared? Zoe almost shit herself last week" A short girl with long brown hair asked, giggling to the other girl's mention
" You guys will have to do much more than that to scare me off. Where I used to live I was the one playing pranks. I liked the show tho. I'm Y/n, what're your names? " You asked with a smirk while they attentively stared at you. They introduced themselves as Queenie, Madison, Nan and Zoe, recognizing her name as the girl Nan talked about scaring her off. You guys kept talking, it didn't take too long to get comfortable around them which was unusual since you frequently judged people, stepping back before even knowing them. For some reason you sensed they weren't that bad. Maybe it's a new power?! The Maddison girl spoke shit sometimes, she was the least friendly, but there's always someone like that. You didn't really care at first. You got so carried away with the nice talking that you didn't realize a blonde woman walking next to you. " I can see the girls have already introduced themselves to you. Sorry I couldn't get you when you arrived, I was finishing some tasks. Welcome home, my name's Cordelia Foxx, I'm your headmistress and teacher, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, honey "
Your brain could barely translated her words as you wondered if you had just encountered an angel, she was too heavenly to be real. You didn't know for how long you stared at her, too lost on your thoughts to formulate words until Queenie poked your shoulder, asking if you were still alive. Great, already making a fool of myself, you think.
" I-I'm sorry. Uhm, you don't have to worry about that Miss Foxx, the girls are great! " You stutters a little, forcing a smile " Oh, I'm Y/n by the way."
" I know, sweetheart. Please call me Cordelia, will you? We're friends now. I hope you'll enjoy your staying here and feel free to talk to me if you need something "
" Uhm yes, thank you! Good to know you, Miss Fo... Cordelia "
" Alright girls, go to your rooms and get ready for the next class. I'll take Y/n to her room and we will find you later  " She ordered and the girls went away, waving at you on their way out, leaving you alone with the breathtaking blonde. Before directing you to your room she gave you a quick tour around the place whose you learned was even bigger than it seemed, you were fascinated. Cordelia also explained a few rules and a little bit of the Academy's story. Her voice was so calming you could listen it all day long. You kept on nodding and smiling, thinking you didn't make it so obvious you barely payed attention to all the informations she gave you, all you were focused on was how sweet she was. After a while she left you in your shared room with Zoe, excusing herself on her way back to her office.
And that's how you had met her, one year had passed, so many things happened but still you caught yourself in pure awe whenever she'd make her way towards you. The year was filled with surprises and improvements, especially regarding your abilities. You had managed to control fire, which was with no doubt your greatest gift, and also discovered new powers like Myrtle insinuated back when you met. Nan helped you develop your sixth sense about people and some situations which added much more confidence to yourself and the situations around you. You could teleport almost perfectly with Zoe's help and your newest goal was to dominate Concilium, which consisted on imposing one's will onto another, also known as mind control. It could be useful if used in the due situations, unlike Maddison who used it all the time for people to serve her. The other great part was that you became real friends to Cordelia, you would always hang out in the greenhouse together as she loved showing you the plants and potions she had, teaching you about each one of them, when around her things were just easygoing. The headmistress was a lovely, caring and delicate figure, which unfortunately made some consider her weak, thinking they had the right to degrade and disrespect her as an authority and person inside the house. Her mother Fiona was one of them, but you knew she was just a drunk old rag with no limits. Her issues were so bad she was probably just seeking for a punch-bag to relieve her shit on. However that didn't give her any right to be that way to her own daughter. She was too harsh on Cordelia, always downplaying her efforts and making her feel like she's not worthy or enough.
One day she slapped Cordelia's face, leading her to fall off the chair as she silently cried, one of her hands covering the wounded flash of her cheek. Your heart shattered and infuriated when witnessing such atrocity. That day you faced the Supreme, walking into the kitchen as you begged the heavens to give you enough control not to burn Fiona alive right there. You help Cordelia's soft body up, pulling her closer to your front in attempt to protect and comfort her from the shame and humiliation that bitch she called mother provided her whenever she could. You argued with Fiona, if she didn't hate you before, she definitely did from that moment on. The following hours you stood by the blonde's side, all night long, sweetly whispering reassuring reminders and hugging her trembling body in your arms as she cried herself to sleep. You didn't leave her until you were sure she was safe again. You couldn't sleep that night, thinking back at the devious figures the woman unfortunately had in her life. Her mom and also her husband, he was the most disgraceful one. You couldn't lie saying their closeness didn't affect you, a part of you cringing at how stupid that man was, not believing he was worthy of such a goddess as you sensed all the atrocities he'd do whenever he was out of her sight, and the other part of yourself hurting for the simple fact he was married to her. He'd get to kiss her beatiful lips, he could admire her with no hesitation, guilt or fear of what she would think, he'd touch and love her in their privacy. He had everything you dreamed of, even knowing he didn't deserve it. Hank made her cry several times, making the poor thing run to your arms in the first opportunity she had. It drove you mad, your head screaming for you to just end him up, you couldn't tho as he was still her husband. Nevertheless you would never abandon her, promising you'd be there at her worst and best.
The first time you severely had your heart broken by their relationship was during one of your sleepless anxious nights. You left your room after hours of tossing and turning, thinking that maybe a tea would help. Heading to the kitchen tho had never been so dreadful as you accidentally heard moans and slamming sounds coming from Cordelia's room, belonging to no other than both of her husband and hers. Your vision got blurry and your stomach immediately turning upside down, bile coming up your throat as a new wave of anxiety rippled through your skin. You ran back to your room the second your legs obeyed your commands and cried yourself until exhaustion took over your mind. You wouldn't get why it hurt so bad but that event changed something on you. You knew that sex was just normal in a relationship but picturing Cordelia like that with him made you sick. Jealousy drowning you from inside out.
The morning after you decided you would walk away from her, for the sake of your mental health. It was childish and weak, you knew, but you couldn't be around her without imagining all the things they'd done and it killed you. Also, you knew she'd hate you for developing such feelings towards her. She'd think you're a freak for taking advantage of her friendship, using her image for such disgusting things. Afterwards, that's what you've been taught your whole life by people around you. During your youth you've heard countless times of how wrong lesbianism was. Anyhow, you wouldn't give ears to any of them as you found it a complete nonsense, but back nowadays, at that specific time you could listen their voices again. What if Cordelia thinks the same? You had to get rid of such feelings and being around her would never be the solution.
Zoe realized your sudden indifference towards your teacher, weirded out at such actions as she knew how much of a puppy you were for her. She confronted you about it in attempt to lighten her mind about what was going on. Your best friend cooed you all the way through your heartbreak, supporting you the best way she could. No words were enough to thank Zoe enough for her care and attention towards you, she was some sort of angel in your life. You made sure to be cautious enough not to bump into Cordelia within the Academy's walls, changing your lunch schedules so you wouldn't have to sit with her, teleporting when hearing her voice, keeping yourself quiet during classes and only exchanging the basic words with her a few times she'd try initiating a conversation.
However avoiding her didn't go unnoticed by the witch, your sudden coldness sending creepy chills up and down her spine. Cordelia would constantly find herself digging her own memories as she tried understanding what she had done to scare you away, hurting when failing her research. You could sense her curious eyes all over you you every step you take even if you couldn't directly see her. You just knew she was there. Zoe would tell you she was constantly asking about you, worried if you were going through some bad crisis and wondering what she could do to help. The younger witch only letting her know you were going through a delicate moment but that you had required to be alone for a while, reassuring Cordelia that you were safe tho. Just like that a long time had passed, you barely even seeing the woman anymore, hearing she was too occupied with her mother and the Council. Whatever. You were almost getting over her. Maybe

Irrefutably Human by ajility
Written for Invisobang 2021!
Summary: After spending 12 years in the Ghost Zone, Danny decides it’s time to see what the Human World has to offer. He quickly learns that blending in with humans is a lot harder than he thought it’d be… and that just maybe, the elder ghosts had a reason for keeping him in the Zone for so long.

Chapter 1
Danny has been in the Ghost Zone for 12 years now. Things were rough for the first few years, when he was freshly dead and didn’t understand what was happening or why, but since then he’s learned how to use his abilities and stabilize his core. He’s got a decently sized Haunt and even if he’s still changing, he can’t be considered freshly formed anymore. Sure, maybe his fangs are still coming in, but he can beat Skulker 4 of 5 times when they fight, and he’s even gotten better at detecting Shadow when he and Johnny spar.
All this to say that his Haunt is being ridiculously overprotective and he should be allowed to visit the Human World with the others.
“You know the restrictions Clockwork put in place as well as I do, Young One,” Frostbite says gently, “I too would prefer if you allow your fangs to grow in before taking a portal to the Human World.”
“I’ve been a ghost for 12 years though! The others only had to wait a few years to pass through portals safely, and besides,” Danny bears his teeth, showing off two sharpened upper canines, “my fangs have started to come in! We don’t even know how many I’ll get, maybe it’s just the two.”
Frostbite levels him with a very unimpressed look, and Danny deflates pretty much instantly. “I’m sure we both know that is not the case. Things are never simple with you, Young One, and we would like to be nearby in case something goes wrong. I am sure you remember the last time we assumed your forming would be like that of a regular ghost’s.”
Danny does remember it, of course he does, because it was the last time they assumed anything about him... and it had also been stupidly painful. It’d been about 6 years after he died and he was finally showing signs of developing a core type. Usually ghosts get a defined core about a year after forming, when their ectoplasm levels first stabilize, but Danny’s were still growing and fluctuating and being generally annoying - according to Pandora, it was because his human side was still so young.
He was showing signs of an ice or wind core, both of which were supposed to be slow-going and build up over time. Instead, he went from racing Ember across the Zone, perfectly fine, to destabilizing and putting off so much cold-energy that Ember couldn’t get near him in seconds. Luckily, they’d been relatively close to the Far Frozen and Ember was able to get some yetis to come help them. The yetis were able to contain his energy until Frostbite showed up, broke through his ice, and overpowered Danny’s core to force it to stabilize.
They spent the next week and a half just draining Danny’s energy to manageable levels, and two more weeks after that teaching him to control and monitor his core. And that didn’t even get into using or controlling any of his new ice abilities... Said new abilities turned out to be substantially stronger than an average ice-core’s, especially considering they were new, and he tended to use them both accidentally and by instinct. It was ok when he accidentally froze a yeti for startling him… not so much when he froze Ember, a fire-core, without so much as a thought.
Fire-cores were supposed to be difficult to overpower, near impossible to freeze, and… tended to do bad, really bad, if they got too cold. Ember was fine, but he wasn’t allowed near other core-types until he got a handle on his powers, and that included pretty much everyone in his Haunt at the time. It was… lonely. He wouldn’t undo it, because Frostbite ended up joining him by the end of it, but Danny also never wants to be kept away from his family again.
That being said, unstable cores are about the most dangerous thing a ghost can go through, and Danny’s core is perfectly stable now. He doesn’t see how his growing-in fangs could mess anything up, which he points out hopefully.
But Frostbite just shrugs. “A few years ago, I would have said only fire and electric cores build up quietly and burgeon all at once. That was before you turned yourself into an iceberg right outside our lair with no intention of doing so. There is little to no precedence for a being as perfectly liminal as yourself, we do not know what will or will not be dangerous for you.
“It is better if you remain within reach of Clockwork, Pandora, and myself until your form stops altering, Young One. Your liminality may allow you to take on a human form, but that does not mean the humans would be able — or willing — to help you, if something goes wrong.”
---
The problem with the elder ghosts, is that they don’t actually leave their lairs the vast majority of the time. This means that Danny, who likes exploring and feels restless if he isn’t finding new things, spends much more time flying around the Zone and existing outside of lairs, which in turn means that he isn’t usually around the elders unless they’re actively teaching him or need him for something.
Which means he’s usually with the rest of his Haunt, and… Skulker and Ember aren’t very good role models. Kitty and Johnny try to be, but also occasionally fall short. Ember, Kitty, and Johnny all remember what it was like to be alive, and all of them know what it’s like to feel lost. Elder ghosts have a stronger handle on their Obsession and rarely feel listless, whereas Danny… well. Half the time he isn’t even certain his Obsession is ‘curiosity’, like the others say.
He feels better when he’s moving and feels like he’s making progress when he learns something, but he doesn’t know what that progress is for. It’s like he’s missing something, like another piece has yet to drop and he won’t be whole until it does, but he’s never told them that. Ghosts that don’t understand their Obsession tend to fade — Danny isn’t a full ghost, he knows he won’t fade, so he doesn’t want to make everyone worried about him.
He had his talk with Frostbite just yesterday, and although he knows the elder is right and that the yetis are just looking out for him… the yetis aren’t here right now. Skulker, Ember, Johnny, and Kitty are here, and they’re talking about a portal.
Danny… isn’t particularly known for cautious decision making. Really, they only have themselves to blame for this. He slides up next to Ember and flicks his tail at Shadow when it starts trying to sneak up on him.
“Sooo…” he says, drawing out the word and trying (failing) to act nonchalant, “What portal are we talking about?”
Ember, the wonderful fire-core she is, responds without thinking anything of it. “There’s a human-made one, a decent flight from the Clocktower. It’s been there for a few years, but usually fluctuates a lot and makes the nearby ectoplasm all wavy-”
“-except that Skulker is claiming it stopped doing that,” Kitty interrupts impatiently, “which doesn’t make sense, because that means it’s stable now, and humans can’t make stable portals.”
“Humans have made stable portals before, they’re just usually brief and stop working pretty quick. And there was that one that appeared 12 years ago, I know Clockwork put blocks around it but you can still sense the energy from it…” Johnny puts in, but trails off when he looks at Danny, narrowing his eyes.
“Technus went through it already and came back just fine, I’m telling you it stabilized somehow. And it lets out right in a human town, no extra flight required. It’s perfect, Kitty and Johnny can go on their date, I can see if there’s anything worth hunting, and Ember can start working out some concert stuff.”
Danny nods, partially because it sounds like a perfectly reasonable plan to him and partially because Johnny’s the only one that seems to have noticed he shouldn’t be part of this conversation. “So, when are we going?” he asks, smiling innocently.
Johnny rubs a hand over his face and the three other ghosts freeze. “Aren’t you supposed to be in the Far Frozen right now?”
Danny goes to shrug, but before he can actually reply, Skulker cuts in. “You wanna come halfa?” He sneers, “Don’t tell me it’s gonna be another Obsession of yours, figuring out how humans work.”
“Don’t be mean, Skulk. Babypop’s never been through a portal before, anyone with a curiosity Obsession would wanna go.” Ember rolls her eyes and wraps an arm around Danny’s shoulders, pulling him closer. They both make pleading faces at the larger ghost, who doesn’t seem to want to budge.
“I dunno guys, humans are… pretty destructive,” Johnny puts in, and immediately holds his hands up when Ember and Danny whip around to glare at him. “I’m just sayin! They get rid of anything that’s different, and ‘different’ doesn’t even begin to describe Phantom.”
“They can’t be that bad!” Danny objects, and though he’ll deny it till he fades, he’s definitely pouting. “If I’m half human, then they’ve gotta half like me, right? I want to meet a human!”
“Johnny is right, Danny,” Kitty shakes her head, “Humans don’t like ghosts to begin with, and they destroy each other over stupid shit like skin color , whaddya think they’d do if they find out about you?”
Danny… pauses at that. Because really? Skin color? Clockwork is blue, Kitty is bright green, Pandora is aqua, and Skulker is either grey or green depending on the situation. Ember is light grey, he himself is a soft blue-ish green color most of the time, but sometimes turns a weird pink-ish human tone too, kind of like Johnny, and Nocturne is the same color as the night skies he’s only seen in his dreams. As far as he knows, humans have a lot less color variety, so what would they even fight over?
Deciding it's not important right now anyway, Danny crosses his arms. "Then they won't find out about me! I'll stay in my squishy human form the whole time, I bet I'll blend in so well you'll lose track of me."
Kitty and Johnny still look skeptical, so Ember adds on, "He's just gonna follow us if we don't bring him, might as well let him come and keep an eye on him. Right, babypop?" And only then do they give in.
"Fine, but no flying off!" Kitty demands, "Pandora would crush all our cores if something happens to you, and being destabilized is not on my to-do list."
Danny nods reassuringly and high-fives Ember, which… might've ruined the whole 'reassurance' bit if Johnny's sigh is anything to go by, and then the five of them are off. Danny really is glad they gave in because he absolutely would have followed if they hadn't, and he's horrible at sneaking around — the trip would've been miserable. Now he can play ecto-tag with Ember and Shadow as they go, while Skulker pretends to be mature and acts like he doesn't want to play.
Ember is winning when they make it to the portal and for the first time ever, Danny lets it happen instead of dragging the game out. The portal is… somehow both bigger and smaller than he expected. Three of them could easily fit through at once, but the inside is bright green and blends in with the rest of the Ghost Zone, making it very easy to miss if you don't already know it's there. There's a ring of grey metal outlining it, and it looks like the bottom should be connected to something even though it's just floating in open space like a common Lair entrance would. It's… interesting. Interesting, and unsettling.
It feels different from the rest of the Zone, like it’s stagnant. Everything else could keep shifting and changing and flowing, and this ring of metal would still stay right here, unmoving and constant.
Danny flies around it in a half-circle, notes that the other side looks roughly the same, then loops back around to the side they originally approached and flies closer. Something about it… definitely unnerves him.
"Does going through portals hurt?" He asks, reaching his hand out until it's only a few centimeters away but still not touching.
Skulker scoffs. "Of course not, whelp. It's like teleporting. If you're having second thoughts, of course, you can still stay here. We don’t need a halfa slowing us down anyway."
Danny growls at the insult and flies forward instead of replying, going straight through the portal.
---
If Danny had been expecting anything at all, it wouldn’t have been what he finds on the other side of the portal. The first thing he notices is that everything feels heavier. It leads out into a room with a whole lot of metal: metal floors, metal walls, metal tables and cabinets and contraptions. He only has a few seconds to ponder it all before the portal glows and Johnny, Kitty, and Ember all come through at the same time.
They all jump on him immediately, fussing and complaining at him and “Danny you can’t do that holy shit none of us had tested this one, what were you thinking ?!” but they just as quickly leave him to go yell at Skulker, who came through much more slowly while they were fussing. Danny rolls his eyes. They’re all part of his Haunt and he loves them, but sometimes they’re ridiculous.
Tuning them out in favor of looking around the room more, Danny notes that there are jars filled with ectoplasm stacked on some of the shelves. They give off some ambient light, but the room is pretty dark besides that. He floats over to the ectoplasm, wondering how they got it and what humans use ectoplasm for, but is pulled away by Ember seconds later.
“C’mon babypop, don’t get distracted already! We’ve gotta get out there before Clockwork notices you’re not in the GZ.” She phases through the ceiling and then out of the building.
Danny rolls his eyes and follows after her at a slower pace, taking the time to actually look at the house as they phase through walls to get outside. As far as he can tell, it’s abandoned: there are no lights on, no noise, and a thin layer of dust coats everything from the couch to the kitchen counter. The portal is located in the basement and it’s the liveliest room in the house, thanks to the soft glow of ectoplasm and the static hum of electricity.
Why someone would build a portal in an abandoned house, he doesn’t know, but it’s certainly convenient for them — easier access, and Danny can take his time exploring the house later, without worrying about any humans noticing him. Surely even an abandoned house will give him some idea of how humans live.

May I request NSFW Benkei or Angry, them losing their virginity to you and you losing yours to them? If not it's totally ok!
Doing Benkei because he's my baby daddyyyyyy
Wipe Me Down: Keizo Arashi x Fem!Reader
wc: 2.1K
tw: NSFW
masterlist
song recommendation:
Your claim to fame is being the only woman who's known Benkei the longest (besides his mother, of course). You knew him even before he was Redcliff and just some small-time hustler in the area that was affiliated with Ragnarok.
And it isn't much, but it's enough to garner respect from those who do know your status in Benkei's life as his one and only woman. He's not one to fuck around, and he expects the same from you. Even though the conditions around your first meeting are still a little muddled, you like to think about it from time to time, musing on how lucky you got to meet the man of your dreams.
_____________________________________________________________
6 Years Earlier
"Do you even know what's in that?"
Your friend is shouting in your ear over the music, but you pretend not to hear her as you sway your hips back and forth, relishing in the feeling of being free.
You're free from school, final exams, thoughts of graduation... everything. And the house party you're at is themed as such, with "free" being the word of the evening. Everyone is dressed scantily, and you're no exception with your tight jeans and crop top hovering above your midriff. Your right hand is holding a red solo cup filled with alcohol, and the other is snapping to the hip-hop drifting through the air.
Yoru eyes are closed, but they drift open from time to time, catching the eyes of strangers watching you dance with the others on the floor. Some eyes are scrutinizing your display, others are observing it with mild curiosity. But the eyes you find locked onto your figure every time you look their way are full of unbridled and unabashed lust. They belong to another stranger, and you invite him over with your body, eyes drifting from his braided hair to his muscled chest.
"Okay," your friend begins, interrupting your staring. "I'm sensing a major hottie at six o'clock."
Your eyes scan the room, then notice a blonde-haired fellow with an earring dangling from his ear, inching toward you and your friend's position on the dance floor.
"Do we go or stay put?" you ask, trying to avoid his gaze.
"Stay put," your friend answer softly. "He looks like a chaser, too."
Your eyes glance from the man trying to weave his way through the crowd and the other man sitting with his legs splayed on the couch, trying to determine your best cause of action. If you stay put, you might have to wing-woman. If you move away, you might lose sight of the other guy in the corner and maybe miss your shot.
You or your friend?
"You girls look like you're having a lot of fun..." The blonde man is right next to your friend, his purple eyes glowing in the neon lowlights. "Mind if I join?"
"Hey, little sis," you hear behind you, and you turn to face the man with the braids in his hair approaching both of you with his hands in his pockets. "You ready to go?"
You open your mouth to reply, but the bigger one looks at your friend, blinking. Oh. Uh-oh.
"Um..." your friend stammers a response, then settles for: "I actually want to stay for a while longer. You can go if you want." The man with the braids nods then looks down at you.
"You know where the drinks are?"
You cast a glance back at your friend, who's pointing away with her index finger at her side. Then she mouths "go" as the blonde pulls her close, his lips pressing against her neck.
You turn back to the tall man, then smile.
"Uh, yeah. Right this way."
You both know where the drinks are, the man is just trying to get you away from the situation that is your friend and the guy that literally appeared like a ghost a moment before.
"You're a damn good friend," he mutters, tipping his cup up and finishing his tequila. "That guy's not really my vibe. I would've definitely cockblocked."
"He seems fine," you offer, sitting next to him on the stairs with your drink. "I mean, what twenty-something guy doesn't seem a little weird?"
"So I seem weird to you?" The question throws you off, and you look over at the man, gulping.
"No, I just meant..." His eyes focus on yours, and his brows furrow. "I meant..."
The man laughs, putting his arm around you and pulling you close. "I'm messing with you. You're cute when you're flustered." Your cheeks warm up as you look away, feeling the man's fingers caress your bare skin. "What's your name?" he whispers in your ear, and you shiver even though it's not cold.
"Y/n. Yours?"
"Keizo."
You don't really get past names once you're making out on the steps, your hands sliding down his chest and resting on his stomach. His fingers cup your chin, bringing it up a little so he can run his tongue over your bottom lip before stopping, then kissing down your jaw and to your neck.
"Hah..." Your breath escapes you in gasps, and Keizo chuckles, sucking at your skin while his hands slide down to your shoulders. His mouth latches onto your skin briefly before letting go, no doubt bringing the blood to the surface.
"God, it's loud," the giant mutters, looking over your shoulder. "Mind going somewhere quieter?"
"I don't mind."
_____________________________________________________________
You didn't realize somewhere quieter meant the bedroom upstairs. Keizo is beneath you, hands tangled in your hair while you kiss and your breaths become more labored with the burden of the tension. Hands hold your hips as he grinds his erection into you from below, swiping his tongue wherever it can go. Yous silently thank fortune that you came without a bra and that your nipples are pebbled enough to feel through the thin crop top you call clothing.
"What brought you here to the party?" you gasp between kisses. "Never seen you around here before."
"Friends wanted to rent the house out for the evening," he explains. "Thought I would do them a favor."
This favor is paying off, you think. It's only a matter of time before you're half-naked and Keizo is stripping himself out of his clothes, panting softly while you exchange feverish kisses. When he's down to his boxers, you can fully see the array of tattoos coursing around his chest and arms. They're like a piece of art splayed all over his body, and you want to drink every detail in when you awaken the next morning.
"Pretty girl..." he murmurs in your ear. "I want to feel you around me." You pause.
This would be your first time.
And yes, you're attracted to Keizo - and consenting - but the thought is daunting.
"I..." Keizo notices your hesitation and swallows hard, his fingers smoothing up and down your bare arms.
"Tell me. I can always put my clothes back on," he chuckles, showing his dimples. "No pressure."
"I'm still a virgin," you blurt, biting your bottom lip. Keizo tilts your chin up, searching your eyes briefly before replying:
"I am, too." You frown.
"But you're---"
"Just because I'm in Ragnarok doesn't mean I'm a womanizer," he interrupts. "I've had my eye on you since you walked in here. And I have to admit, I'm not disappointed by what I see." You smile shyly, then rest on his chest.
"Love at first sight? For a gang member?"
"Maybe lust at first sight," he corrects you. "But I do want to know more about you now." You lean forward to kiss him, and he tucks a few strands of hair behind your ear, using one hand to pull you on top of him again and sink your hips down on his clothed erection. "I want you to touch it, princess."
Your fingers slip past his waistband and find the cock there with ease, rubbing along the shaft slowly while you take in the size. It's hefty, but not too much to scare you away, and Keizo helps you with guidance, like licking and sucking to his liking, but then he flips you onto your back and tosses your legs up. Keizo parts them and instantly attacks your core, tongue flicking while he moans gently.
You jerk at first but then relax into his power and skill. Giving over your control to a man you've barely known for a day is enough to make you wonder if you've been missing this - this affection, this passion, this... deviancy.
"Keizo," you moan, running your hands over his braided head. His eyes flick up to yours and you swear you feel him smile then dig deeper into your core with his tongue. Your toes curl as he gives you the sensations you've so desperately wanted to feel since you walked into this dark bedroom. Your grind your hips against his face, and Keizo grunts, gripping your legs with his hands as if to encourage you.
You love it. The hulking man brings you closer and closer to a climax, his tongue searching your spots for the one that'll be just right...
"Fuck, fuck, fuck..." you gasp, legs trembling as you let loose. "I'm--"
Keizo reaches a hand down to his cock, pumping it as you cum and shake. All because of him; this is his doing.
After a few kitten licks at your core, he raises up, still stroking his rock hard cock. He produces a condom from somewhere, tearing the wrapper and sheathing himself with it.
"Want to try it, babe?" he wonders, tucking his bottom lip into his mouth. "You don't have to, but--"
"Yes," you pant, spreading your legs with your hands. "Yes, I do."
At first, he doesn't go in at all. He tries to enter you while you're on your back, but instead, you find yourself on your side, leg slung over his hip while he teases your folds with his tip. And even though this moment should be a semi-serious one, you're both giggling like schoolchildren.
"You're plenty wet," Keizo murmurs, running his left hand over your hair. "Just really tight."
"Sorry," you mumble instinctively.
"Not a bad thing," he quickly replies. "Just something to notice."
In that next breath, you feel him slip past your entrance, his cockhead breeching your walls with slight force. Even with the condom on, you can feel the veins, the brief stretching, the way his dick jumps a little when you inhale.
"Oh," you gasp, fingers gripping his bicep tight. "Oh my gosh." Keizo's breath hitches as he pumps into you slowly, working himself past your tightness and into even more pleasure.
"Holy fucking shit," the man hisses once he's halfway inside of you. "S-stop moving, baby. Can't take it." Your walls stop fluttering around his cock, and he lets go of his breath, shuddering as he moves inside of you once more. "Let me just..." Keizo pauses, sweat dotting his forehead. "I'm trying so hard not to cum."
"It's okay," you whisper back, eyes half closed. "Take your time."
Half an hour later, your chest is pressed into the bed, and Keizo is rocking himself slowly in and out of you at the same pace he started at. His cock is fully inside of you, stroking your walls and filling you up with as much cock as you can take.
"Mmmm." Your hands grip the sheets and the man behind you leans over your body, kissing your cheek.
"Tell me how it feels."
"Feels good," you moan, bucking your hips back. "Just like that..."
"Careful," he breathes, which sounds more like a whine than anything else. "I'm close..." You reach your hand down to rub at your clit, but it seems this is exactly what Keizo needs to tip him over the edge. "Oh fuck," he whines, hands sliding form your hips to your breatss as he raises up, your body flush against his as he cums. You have to admit, Keizo is a loud cummer. And the force of his orgasm startles you, almost to the point of bringing about your second climax.
When he's done with you, he lays you on the bed, slipping himself from between your legs and placing a tender kiss on your cheek.
"How was that for your first time?" Keizo wonders softly.
"Amazing," you reply, looking up at him and grinning. "You?"
"Felt like heaven." You fall asleep to the sounds of thumping music and drunken laughter, while you're held in arms that are soft enough to soothe your racing heart.
