So I just read the demo for the first time and… are you okay? Like do you need to talk to someone? Cuz holy shit, that was depressing. Don’t get me wrong, it was great, but I am just mentally, emotionally, and physically drained now (don’t ask me about that last part). All in all, I really enjoyed it, but I do have some thoughts.

Firstly, I don’t understand how anyone from Rosea (except for Hunter, Fadiya and her mom, and maybe Helios) has any fans. Like did they just forget that everyone else (including Lancelot) contributed to the total destruction of our family? Everyone’s over here shipping Lancelot and Luceris, and to be fair, if this was a different story I would too, but like… they’re the enemy? Speaking of Luceris…

Dude is on some shit. Like I get it’s the point, but everything about our relationship with him just feels weird and wrong, and I’m counting the days til we can kill him. Until then, I guess I’ll have to make do with disrespecting the memory of his dead wife at every opportunity. Also side note, but as a Straight Male tm it does feel a little weird having to fake a romance with another guy, especially a guy that’s like fifty years older than me lol (Luceris really isn’t beating the Catholic Priest allegations)

The rest of the cast are a lot of fun, and I’m glad they all at least have sympathy towards MC. I think Hunter is the coolest character ever and I want to be them, and Fadiya can do no wrong in my eyes. Vincent sucks, but I haven’t really spent much time with him so maybe that’ll change. Helios I feel sorry for. He’s a nice guy and I do like him a lot, but he’s unfortunately collateral damage in my crusade against Father Luceris. I hate that we have to hurt him to get revenge, but it feels very realistic and gives your decisions a lot more weight.

On the flip side, Soarine is perfect and has never done anything wrong in her life ever. If Soarine has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Soarine has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Soarine has only one fan then that is me. If Soarine has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Soarine, then I am against the world.

All in all, I love what you’re doing with this game, even if I do have to take a twenty minute break after each playthrough just to decompress lol. I can’t wait to see where this goes and am gonna stare at a wall until the next update drops. Thanks for making such an interesting story and give Soarine my love 💚

Genuinely contemplating if it's even worth it to stay in the Miiblr community or if it's worth it to just leave and just not go looking for another Mii Community 'cuz, believe it or not, this is the fourth Mii community I've been in, and it has been a mess just like the past three times.

DeviantArt? Bad. Discord? Bad. Fandom? That one Wiki website? Bad. And now what happens? I get comfy on the Tumblr one, AAAAAAAAAAAAAND then shit hits the fan yet again.

It's not just Mii Communities as well, it's communities in general. I remember getting really interested in FNF back then, and tah-dah, chaos began to ensue as mods kept dropping like flies left & right because people just could not be decent human beings, I guess. Nowadays, the only FNF mods I give a shit about are the Mario ones, especially the horror related ones, like Mario's Madness, which I'm making a Mii AU for for God knows what reason.

Speaking of Mario, remember the The Thousand Year Door remake? I was in the Paper Mario community when that popped up, and I was excited, but that excitement quickly turned into annoyance when everyone just kept whining about Vivian being trans, WHICH WAS IN THE JAPANESE VERSION OF THE ORIGINAL, MIND YOU NOT, and ONE catcalling scene getting removed. I repeat, ONE. Dupree was shown to still be in the game with the same personality he had in the OG back when the game wasn't released yet. But no, let's complain because they removed the Goombella catcalling scene and just that one.

I've been looking literally everywhere for a safe space, but I can never find it, either because of constant situations or my stupidity getting the best of me. The Big Just the Two of Us Post

In February this year, I started writing a little silly fic for funsies. Well actually, I literally posted a chapter I wrote a year ago on my brand-new AO3 account. I thought, hm, maybe someone might be interested in this? I'm gonna be real with you all - I had literally no plans. Like, none. It was just a one-off chapter. Just a silly concept - what if Kaito and Kokichi got stuck in a simulation? Wouldn't that be hilarious? What kinda silly shenanigans would these two guys get up to? They'd probably just keep killing each other lmao. Nine months and over 140,000 words later, I churned out the longest piece of writing I have ever created. Ever. I'm not even joking.

Did I ever know that my magnum opus was gonna be a horror/sci-fi Oumota fic? No. Am I glad it is? Surprisingly, yes. There is so much I want to say and I don't even know where to begin. Massive shout-out to everyone who has been reading since the beginning. I can't believe you still stuck around even when the fic took like several shocking swerves. All of those kudos and comments meant so much to me too. The actual joy I got every time my comment notification went up by one is a type of euphoria I'll never get over.

Also another shout-out to the people who unbookmarked en masse once it got real messed up I'm so sorry but yeah I totally get it. Trust me I was not expecting it to get so dark lmao. Thanks @theskix for putting up with me talking about this goddamn fic for nine months straight (cheese forgive me) and being a fantastic springboard for ideas (brain fuzzy but I'm pretty sure he's the guy who came up with Miu eating cereal while walking in on them say thank you) Shout out to the concept of Oumota and every single Oumota fan in existence cuz like holy crap apparently people who like scary stuff and suffering just gravitate to these two guys apparently. Like I don't think I can begin to stress that I was never an Oumota fan. This fic turned me into one. I literally cannot stop thinking about them my brain is full of worms (or leeches I'm funni). Now for the fun part - what's coming up next? Well I'm planning on taking a break from any massive projects for the next month and a bit so I can participate in NaNoWriMo. May as well keep riding the train while it's still running, right? Once we get to December, I'm hoping to start the next fic in what I want to call my Dangan Horror trilogy. I'm also wanting to start writing a fic set in the Just the Two of Us universe from Miu's perspective. I may do these both at the same time, but I'll see how I go. I may do some smaller fics from time to time, especially if any fun-looking writing/themed events pop up, but I'll get to those when they occur. 4. scott pilgrim vs the world; ultimate comfort movie!! ive read all the comics and have a scott pilgrim action figure also besides this fact its a good movie i like how i can recognize a bunch of the places DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE SOUNDTRACK i love all the bands so much and because the majority of them are canadian i have like some weird connection to them (my fave thing to brag abt is how my mom went to highschool with the drummer of broken social scene and they were like CLOSE friends like not just acquaintances)

3. brigsby bear; another comfort movie- i used to be a diehard snl fan but i was like SPECIFICALLY obsessed with kyle mooney (still love him) and also this movie is so like sweet and like perfect example of the offbeat humour + heartwarming ending combo im convinced that kyle's just ahead of his time and that this will totally be a cult classic one day.

2. kill me now; another movie with kyle mooney- im a giant nerd when it comes to improv and sketch comedy (don't get me started on the podcasts omfg) so when i found out that all of good neighbor was in this movie i had to watch. another example of campy horror although it's very 2012 type humour so i think a lot of ppl think it's like stupid but whatever ill defend it till the day i die its free on youtube go watch

1. excision (2008); literally another film from youtube that i've seen too many times to count. this is a short film (which is great considering i have horrible adhd) but it was turned into a full length feature in like 2013 i think. the full length one is also very good; it features traci lords AND john waters as a minister 💀 so again it has kind of a kitschy vibe to it but not as much as the others. the original is a lot more on the serious side. it's totally perfect if u have mommy issues the last scene always makes me cry (you'll also like it if ur mentally ill or maybe just have a blood kink)

funny how my stance earlier today was "i'm fine with mattjay but i don't ship it" but after The Burger. Matt wanting to kiss Jay is like 60% of the episode premise and I'm not joking come the fuck on. I was gonna let platonic bros be platonic bros but the show is forcing my hand. Matt thinks he found a way to grant wishes and the first thing he asks for is being able to go back to the plan that relies on him and Jay kissing. Get real

the reality show esque editing in that episode was a lot of fun, would be annoying if they kept it but just for that one it was good

The Boost felt like a really fast episode (fitting since it's about a speedrun) but I'm not sure if it actually felt fast or if it was just me watching an episode straight through without pausing and unpausing a million times like I did with The Burger

sometimes ntbts episodes are like. here's the episode (22 minutes) and here's the same episode if Matt told the truth / was upfront about his thoughts from the start (5 minutes) this is about The Buddy. I don't mean this as a negative

THE BOOK WAS SUCH A FUN EPISODE i don't wanna risk spoiling it for anyone but yeah. the special effects were shockingly good for a small tv production like this. the acting was also significantly good (referring to one bit in particular) but you don't need a budget for that. The Book got me giggling and kicking my feet

^ i got spoiled on it cuz i saw fanart and some comments on said fanart and i kinda wish i got to experience it with no expectations but whatever it's water under the bridge. i enjoyed the episode regardless

In honor of Halloween, here's what some of my trolls would do for it! Cut cuz it's a little long and I don't wanna clog y'all's dashes.

Ralkoa: She loooooves Troll Halloween! She decorates her hive, dresses more extravagantly than usual, and really gets in the scary-time mood. She's not a huge candy person, but she'll take what she can get, and she's more likely to go party or vandalize stuff than trick-or-treat. As for costumes, she has a lot of variety! Heavy metal looks with extremely strong makeup is a go-to, but she also likes characters from horror films, and would absolutely dress as a "sexy murderer" or something.

Malich: Similar to Koa; big fan of the holiday, but not much of a trick-or-treater. Would def like to do photoshoots in costume, and his are always either the sexy version of something or extremely blingy. If people aren't gonna look at him, what's the point of dressing up? He and Koa once went as a duality of rock: heavy, grungy, and rough for her, and blingy, bright, and put-together for him.

Tyzlee: Ty isn't big on holidays, to be honest, and Troll Halloween might be their least favorite. They don't like to be surprised or thrown off, and jumpscares are the bane of their existence. Still, they like the aesthetics, and can be found adding a spiderweb skirt or bloody accessory to their ensemble. They won't admit it, but in the past, they tried to make costumes from scratch. It didn't work out. The most they'd do in terms of "celebrating" is watching a slow, scare-free psychological horror or mystery.

Klanie: She doesn't love scary things, but she loves how creative everyone is around Troll Halloween! She always helps her friends with costume ideas, and has even made costumes for them on occasion. In the end, she can never decide on one for herself, and takes whatever suggestion her friends come up with for her. She's definitely the one to stay hive and hand out candy to anyone who comes by, though probably not chat too much.

Akryla: Another Troll Halloween lover! Other than experimenting with her face paint, she doesn't usually dress up much, maybe putting on some accessories, but she loves doing little stunts to earn extra candy while trick-or-treating! Saal, of course, goes with her, and she does his paint as well. She might get daymares from the movies he'd want to watch though.

Wynnie and the Cheska twins spend Troll Halloween together! Wynnie and Galinn will put on a horror movie marathon, complete with snacks and decorations, and Silnor will force them to put some musical Halloween flicks into the list (he loves the Nightmare Before 12th Perigees). They may go out trick-or-treating, and if they do, Wynnie and Galinn will do matching costumes. They've been Leatherface and Chop-Top Sawyer for the last 2 sweeps. Silnor likes to look a bit more put-together and dapper (the Phantom of the Opera is his go-to), though he did go as Drayton for them one sweep to complete the trio.

My Comments on The First Omen

-No shade to Immaculate, which is a good film, but it's like one of those horror movies made for the main audiences while The First Omen is made for horror fans.

The tone, the vibe, sometimes it felt like I was watching a 70's horror movie.

-Nell Tiger Free girl you are on the way to become one of my fav young actresses. I already knew you could serve, cuz I watched Servant but goddamn, here you are just spectacular. She acts with her whole being, her eyes, her body, her voice... everything. I have this inside joke with myself when I say that you know an actor is good when you are able to see their pupils dilate in some scene of emotional stress(fear, love, stress, trauma..) and here she does that a lot.

I look forward to seeing her become a scream queen and a horror icon.

As a theater kid, I was 😦 at the possession scene. The control you need to have of your body to be able to do something like that without looking cartoonish fake, what a damn good work.

-Is also looking forward to seeing Arkasha Stevenson, she just came out of nowhere and gave one of the greatest prequels ever.

And let me tell you, a man could never make this masterpiece of work. I bet that if it was a man directing, we would see some unnecessary nudity and more explicit violence. I'm saying this cuz not all men have the right touch to tell a story like this, which is basically a story of women's body being exploited and violated for a higher entity.

-Poor Margaret tho. Not only is her father a literal demon, the entire purpose of her life was being a human incubator for the antichrist. Her life was all a lie. Her friends and the people she thought were her safe spots, it was all a lie.

The scene where she is giving birth , is so haunting. No tense music, just a helpless young woman crying for help in a room full of people and they just stared at her and does nothing, that's what nightmares are made of.

-Another thing that I noticed is that no one respects her boundaries, her personal space. Always touching her, always bossing her around.

Her being a "bad" girl can be because she is half demon but also can be a response to all the trauma. Like, that girl had nightmares or wherever and their way to deal with it was tying her up in the bed and maybe even going to physical violence.

That's also how bdsm was born I swear.

-This movie was honestly so good. If you were afraid that it would be just a cash grad, don't worry. But also don't go watching expecting some common horror movie, there's some fucked up shit here (who already saw it, knows what I'm talking about). Go open minded and enjoy the ride

I held off reading Halloween Florence's fate episode until recently because I knew there would be some nugget of Gawain in it and I would like to report:

Florence pranked Gawain A LOT growing up.

The pranks are extreme for others, from the reactions the other sorceress gave when Florence described her idea for a haunted labyrinth.

"Forgive me if I'm wrong, Lady Florence, but are you actually a huge fan of horror?"

"Ah, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to enjoy myself so much thinking about all this... I've only ever played these kinds of pranks on Gawain..."

The Archduke was practically shitting himself going through the thing.

Gawain probably gained immunity to her pranks that she'd constantly amped up the scare factor (or maybe she was always this excessive from the start?)

Whatever the case, I kinda picture baby Gawain being really spooked at first, and Florence is just a menace to society.

Gawain thoroughly enjoyed the labyrinth!! Immediately walked in there! He's definitely okay, if not also into, horror stuff.

What do all of the cousins want as gifts?

You know despite drawing them in their winter wear I actually hadn't given it much thought on what they'd want for Christmas. Hm...

Liv would probably like mugs with silly graphics on them, or a nice hoodie or pair of fluffy socks. She's also a big horror fan so she'd love any type of horror movie or piece of merchandise from a horror movie she's seen already

Zephyr would sorta like the same things, she loves her fashion so any piece of clothing or jewellery piece she'd love. Call it cliche but she loves bubble baths, so any nice body wash she'd love too

For Penny and Laser i'm not too sure. Laser is the more enthusiastic one when it comes to the holidays, while Penny is a bit more 50/50. She's not comfortable with huge groups of people and much rather prefers smaller celebrations, Christmas can sometimes be a bit much for her. She'd appreciate something like a notebook/diary to help her with her work, or anything that has to do with manatees (they're her favourite animal)

Laser would love anything, but not a plant. he's really bad at remembering to water them so the plant would probably end up dying, or Penny rescues it from him. Like Liv he'd love goofy stuff like mugs with silly graphics or fluffy socks, he'd also love hair products since he takes great pride in his hair. He always appreciates a pair of new shades since he's constantly wearing them, or maybe a (sorry if I got the name wrong for this) a chew necklace. When stressed or board Laser chews his fingers, he doesn't wanna chew his clothes cuz they're expensive. When he was younger and in the early days of his career the chewing got really bad, so a stim toy he can chew on would be perfect for him

Raph: scented candles. This guy spends way too much on scented candles and it only doubles at Christmas. Raph already smells or oranges and cinnamon thanks to all the candles he has in his home, he's always burning through candles so he'd love anymore. He also loves cute potted plants like mini cacti. Raph also loves gardening, it's one of his hobbies, so any appropriate gardening wear that won't get ruined if it gets dirty will always get used by him (maybe a nice sunhat for when he's gardening in the summer)
