New place, same fight
Danny loves his friends, they have been with him since they were little and they have experienced too many things together, things that have helped them grow, things that only strengthen their friendship. Because Sam and Tucker were everything to him, as he was everything to them.
But at the same time, Danny could admit that he hated his friends; not always, but there were times where they wouldn't stop fighting, where they forced him to choose. The halfa could understand, Sam and Tucker had different world views, they saw different things and occasionally Danny thought they only got along because of him.
That was okay, he learned to live with them, to be the center of their arguments. And when they moved from Amity to Gotham, when they decided to rent an apartment together and go to the same college (which miraculously had all their majors), he thought everything would be fine.
It was idiotic of him. Because at the time he could only see a repeat of what had happened in high school; Sam was having a protest about the cafeteria menu and Tucker had organized the meat lovers (again), and the halfa knew how it was all going to end.
The point is, Danny was tired of repeating the same cycle, a cycle that apparently included Waylon and Poison Ivy fighting in the cafeteria at his new college (and how the hell did his friends manage to get the Rogues of Gotham into their fights?), so when he saw the people in bat suits he exploded.
When Sam and Tucker turned to ask his opinion he shook his head, pointed at Lunch Lady, who had her arms crossed and decided it wasn't his problem before disappear. Literally, no matter if half of Gotham was calling him meta, he was tired.
Red Robin gawked at him before turning his attention to Lunch Lady, who was gathering all the meat around her to form a giant meat monster. And Danny decided it wasn't his problem.
Apparently, Sam and Tucker decided that the bats could take care of it before they looked worried and started looking for Danny. It became obvious that the bats needed help when Danny looked at a giant meat monster two hours later, the halfa arched an eyebrow in dismay, weren't they supposed to be professional heroes? Lunch wasn't even trying...

Famous streamer Danny and his secret boyfriend:
Okay, but picture this: Danny Fenton is this massive streamerâlike, heâs the guy everyone watches for chill vibes, chaotic gaming, and somehow getting sidetracked talking about conspiracy theories in the middle of a speedrun. His streams are a mess of ghost jokes, random facts about space, and way too much energy for someone running on three hours of sleep and coffee.
And then thereâs his boyfriendâwho the fans only know exists because Dannyâs way too in love to not talk about him. Like, every stream, without fail, Dannyâs casually dropping hints. âOh yeah, my boyfriend brought me coffee, isnât he the best?â or âI was playing this game with him last night, and he kept getting us killed, but heâs cute so I let it slide.â
The thing is, no one has ever seen this boyfriend. Not once. No name, no face, nothing. And at this point, itâs basically part of Dannyâs brand. His fans are in the chat, spamming questions like, âWho is he?â âIs he another streamer?â âWhatâs his name?â and Dannyâs just laughing it off every time, like, âEh, maybe Iâll introduce you guys one day.â
The fan theories are wild. People have made entire reddit threads trying to piece together clues about who this mystery guy is. Some think Dannyâs boyfriend is a celebrity. Others are convinced itâs someone famous in the gaming world, but no one has any proof. Itâs like the internetâs biggest mystery, and Dannyâs just sitting there, fully aware of it, leaning into the chaos without giving away a single detail.
Meanwhile, Tim Drakeâyes, that Tim Drake, Gothamâs resident CEO of WE and vigilanteâis just chilling in the background. Heâs the boyfriend, obviously. The one who makes sure Danny actually eats between streams and sometimes joins him off-camera to play co-op games. But Timâs got no intention of revealing himself. He likes the anonymity, the whole âmysterious boyfriendâ thing. Plus, with his whole double life as a vigilante, staying out of the public eye (more than he already is) isnât exactly a bad idea.
But the best partâDannyâs fans? Theyâre convinced his boyfriend is some kind of superhero or vigilante. The way Danny talks about himâlike heâs always busy, never around during certain hours (because, you know, Timâs out patrolling Gotham), and the fact that heâs never once shown up on camera? Itâs practically begging for wild speculation. And Danny? Heâs just letting them run with it, saying stuff like, âOh yeah, heâs totally saving the world right now, canât make it to stream today.â
So now Dannyâs got this massive online following, all obsessed with his mystery boyfriend, while Timâs just quietly in the background, living his double life and probably smirking every time Danny plays along with the fansâ theories. Itâs lowkey hilarious, and neither of them is ever planning to set the record straight. Theyâre just having way too much fun with it.

A Week (He Will Take You)
~
Danny moved to Gotham for school, while there he noticed that Gotham's ambient ecto was really murky for lack of a better word.
This didn't really affect him too much besides a mild headache every once in a while but that also just might be stress from all his school work so maybe not.
Anyway
This murky ecto seemed to effect the people who lived there or more importantly the ghosts,
They were visible to the human eye like most ghosts back in Amity but instead of looking very much like a ghost they still looked like humans if a bit off putting.
They all seemed to be continuing their normal lives as if still fully alive, with the people around them none the wiser.
Danny noticed this and began approaching them to figure out what was going on.
Apparently the murky ecto in the city had made it so that they were strong enough to still continue a somewhat normal life but not be able to cross over to the GZ.
In other words they were stuck in Gotham
Danny was the Ghost King so he could easily fix this problem, all he needed to do was give them a bit of pure ecto for around a week to fully stabilize them them then he would just open a portal into the GZ and they could cross over with all their things also transferring into the GZ for their new haunt.
Unfortunately this looked rather worrying to an outsider,
Imagine you're used to your neighbor being very outgoing so you and others see them a lot suddenly this man seems to appear in their life out of nowhere an at exactly one week, your neighbor and all their belongings in their home disappear no trace to be found.
You tell people and they begin saying the same story they knew someone and them a man with black hair and blue eyes appeared in their life, then they and all their things disappear in exactly one week.
Of course the police in Gotham do the bare minimum so they're no help.
But it starts to begin a trend, especially online.
"Oh careful or the blue eyed man will make you disappear in a week"
This of course after time catches the bats attention, Gordon had already given them all the information he had.
"Young adult early twenties, dark hair, blue eyes"
That was it.
The bats look into it and from their point of view Danny is a serial killer.
But they can't find the connection between all of his victims, they range from young children and the elderly from different backgrounds absolutely no connection,
Worrying enough he doesn't just make one person disappear he has taken entire families up to over a dozen, without anyone figuring out how he's doing it or why at all.
The disturbing thing also being that he seems to take everything in their home, leaving it like it has always been empty
Like no one had been living in it.
People have tried to take photos of Danny get some kind of evidence of his existence, but when they try to do it, it either comes out completely corrupted or their devise simply shuts down fully.
Danny of course has no clue what is happening he's just happy that he's able to help so many ghosts, and is trying not to fail his exams.
~
Danny leaving the house he just helped: "That went easier than I expected!"
Neighbor peeking from the window: "Shit it's that guy! "
~
Red Hood marching down into the cave: " The fucker took many from my territory without me even realizing it!"
~
Tim: "I'm pretty sure his kill count is nearing the hundreds and he just started like maybe 4 months ago, this is bad."
Barbara: " I think I got a theory, this matches up with the new school year beginning so maybe their not a Gotham native which narrows down my suspect list."
Bruce: "Hn."
Tim: "Yes thank you B for the insightful commentary"
~
Danny trying not to fall asleep while on his way to class: "Strange I keep seeing shadows following me, oh well must be the stress!"
Bats who are pretty sure Danny is the killer: "Has he done anything suspicious yet?"

Delilah's language (part three)
Previous | Master Post | Next
Danny stood next to Mr. Bruce, watching as people milled around and chatted. a large group gathered right in front of them.
They had flown to Gotham last night, and Danny had been given a nice room to stay in at some fancy hotel. motel? which one was supposed to be fancy?
eh, either way, Danny settled into the room and promptly went back to sleep. He managed to get a total of twelve(12) hours of sleep before waking up. he spent the time after that just sitting and playing on his phone until his alarm went off.
that was two hours ago, and now here he was, standing in the middle of Gotham City Zoo at 8 in the morning. No one had noticed them yet, which Danny was greatly appreciative of; he had not been ready for this.
Sure, Mr. Bruce had said he invited all the scientists, but this? this was not what he was expecting.
he was expecting maybe one or two scientists to be standing around, watching Dalilah and her family as some rich kid hounded them for answers. they were scientist, surely, they had better things to do than attend some kid's birthday party.
but no.
All of them were here. All. Of. Them.
the whole scientific team was in attendance, and right in the middle of them was the birthday boy. his voice drowned out by the scientists all hungrily trying to force their knowledge into his brain.
oh dear ancients what had Danny agreed to?
suddenly, an older boy (slightly younger than Danny, it seemed) approached the group and turned the birthday boy to look in their direction. Danny's poor overstimulated enhanced hearing instantly zeroed in on what they were saying, a pool of dread settling in his stomach. "look, Damian. Bruce is back with that dude you wanted to meet."
Immediately, the kid's green eyes lit up in excitement as they settled on Danny and the kid's father. The boy promptly shoved past the other scientist and marched over to them, mouth somehow set into a scowl even though Danny could feel the kid's excitement increase tenfold. The older boy easily followed behind in amusement.
before the kid could open his mouth, Danny felt the air shift next to him. It wasn't a ghost, they wouldn't have been so obvious, and his sense hadn't gone off, so human then. (he should have heard them earlier, but with how loud it was? Danny wasn't too worried about how he had missed the person) which means, Danny couldn't react obviously or people would ask questions.
tensing up, to prevent his body from reacting on instinct, he waited for the person to act. Not even a second later, someone threw their arm around Danny's shoulders and pulled him close to their side, their voice bright and cheerful. "Damian! look who Bruce dragged in!"
Danny turned his head to glance at the man, he had black hair and blue eyes. This wasn't a surprise, considering almost all the kids Bruce adopted had the same features, so which one was this? One of the older ones, obviously, hmmm. Slim frame, but still musculer. perfect for swimming or gymnastics. So, that would mean, this was Dick Grayson, the oldest?
"tch," Damian scowled even more, "release him, Grayson." bingo. Danny had been correct then. and that was one heck of a scowl, how did the kid do that? Danny could feel he was happy at the sight of the older boy, but somehow, he looked like he'd rather be eating snails than deal with the man.
maybe he should introduce him to Sam, she'd love to learn how to do that.
"Alright! Alright!," Grayson chuckled, what was Danny supposed to call him? Dick or Grayson? Richard? "I'm just trying to be nice."
he turned to face Danny, releasing him from his grasp, his smile almost blinding, "Hi there! my name is Dick. Yes, that is my name. No, I'm not joking. It's nice to meet you, what's your name?"
Danny blinked, then hesitantly shook the man's hand. he should have stayed home, anything would have been better than this. oh, shit they're all looking at him now. "uh, my name's Danny. Danny Fenton."
"Danny! nice. So, what did you do to be invited?" Dick asked, resting his hands in his pockets and lifting a brow. Mr. Bruce had walked away a while ago, so Danny would have to deal with this himself it seems.
Damian rolled his eyes but looked curious as well.
"uh, Mr. Bruce," This got an immediate reaction from all three of them; their eyes widening in surprise and maybe a hint of glee, "invited me. something about how Damian wanted to learn how to speak with Dalilah."
"Really?" asked the other boy, Tim? "you can actually speak with them?"
"Tch, of course not, Drake. The purple-backed gorillas do not have a spoken language, they use their bodies to communicate. Daniel here is the only person in the world to figure out how to communicate with them."
"Don't call me that," Danny cut in, wincing when they turned to look at him, "my name's Danny, not Daniel."
"isn't Danny a nickname for Daniel?" Damian asked, his brows furrowed. "I do not call people by their nicknames, it creates a false familiar connection."
"Usually," Danny conceded, "but my name isn't Daniel. My parents chose Danny, it's not a nickname. and if you really don't want to call me that, then you can use my last name. It shouldn't be a problem considering I'm the only Fenton here."
"Oh," Damian blinked, then thought about it for a second, "Danny it is then."
The other two shared a glance, clearly surprised for whatever reason. Sighing, Danny waved his hand in agreement. The kid could call him whatever he wanted, just not Daniel. Anything but Daniel. (Ancients forbid if he gets called Dan.)
"Anyway, like you were saying. Delilah speaks with her body movements but there is a vocal part. It's a little like sign language and that one whistle language combined, but instead of just using your hands, facial movements, and whistles to communicate, you have to use your whole body. All at once."
Danny then rubbed his neck, "And I'm sure someone else would be able to speak with her if they just paid attention. It's not that hard."
"Not that hard?" Grayson asked, glancing at the gorillas. "how long did it take you to figure out her language then?"
"Oh," Danny blinked, then shrugged, "like, two hours. Like I said, it's really not that hard, you just have to watch her talk for a while."
"two hours?!" Tim, Danny's pretty sure his name was Tim, gaped, staring at Danny like he was nuts. which, Danny didn't appreciate by the way. "It only took you two hours to figure it out?"
Danny wasn't sure if he should feel offended or amused...
"That's impossible," someone scoffed, dragging all of their attention to an approaching scientist. "It takes upwards of three months to multiple years of hard work to even understand human sign language, let alone animal gestures. You couldn't have learned it in just two hours."
Danny rolled his eyes, he remembered this guy. Dr. Trynul or something or whatever, he absolutely refused to believe Danny the last time they talked. he was a real stick in the mud if Danny ever saw one.
"Danny Fenton is listed as the only person in the world to have the ability to communicate with the gorillas. It even says as much in the scientific papers your group released last month." Damian huffed, narrowing his eyes at the man.
Dr. Trynul rolled his eyes, "I requested they leave that false information out, but Mertil absolutely refused to listen to reason."
"and it's a good thing she didn't," another researcher cut in. Danny remembered her from the first time he had to talk with the scientist involved with Dalilah. Real stern but a nice lady.
"This young man can communicate with them just like he would if he was one of them. I've seen it with my own eyes." she then turned to the group, a small smile growing on her face.
"Danny, it's so good to see you again! Delilah has been just such a sweetheart, and her baby is just the cutest thing in the world. You have to come and see them."
Danny rubbed the back of his neck and smiled back, "Sure, Oh!" He turned back to Damian, "maybe I can introduce you to them if you haven't been already?"
The boy nodded his head, his excitement rolling off of him in yellow swirls. Turning back, Danny nodded his head with a small smile, "Please, lead the way."

(Maybe) his lost twin
Danny doesnât remember much of the first decade of his life. But he doesnât really dwell on that fact too much. Heâs happy with the Fentons, despite all the chaos they can cause.
Besides, the ghost attacks have a habit of interrupting any introspection time.
And when he moved to Gotham for college following a scholarship, he had no idea what he was getting himself into.
The cup slipped from Damianâs hand. The man he was staring at was nearly his mirror image except for a few small details. Most notably, a scar on his forehead.
His mind slips back to the last time he saw his brother all those years ago, bleeding from his head and telling him to run.
Could this be
âDanyal?â he breathed out, scarcely daring to hope
The figureâs response seemed almost reflexive. âDanny, not Daniel.â
A sob lodged itself in Damianâs throat as he lunged forward to hug his brother whom he had thought dead. âYouâre alive!â
Danny pushed him back, extricating himself from the hug. âI⌠think you might have the wrong guy. Do I know you?â

Gotham's newest Crime Lord - part 3
Part 2 | Masterpost
"You know your way around the city." Dan commented, eyes narrowed once he realizes that Kitty and Johnny adapted a little too well to Gotham. Going to places even he didn't know existed, exploring and giving them intel he never realized was relevant. They knew history of Gotham in a way a local would.Â
Johnny shrugged, turning back to Kitty who welcomed Ember with a bright smile. The two were squealing, talking about how they were going to help mess with Firefly after burning down a well-loved studio down town.Â
For Dan, he wasn't going to intrude too much on his former rogues but... "You're from Gotham. Both of you."Â
Johnny twitched, watching as Shadow moved to play with Elle in the air.Â
"Yeah, weâre not too sure if our folks are still kickinâ, but Kitty and me took off after they flipped over our thing. This place still gives me the heebie-jeebies, but hey, you guys are here. Gothamâs cool these days with all the furries and rogues runninâ around." Johnny laughed, his cocky nature still burning bright, even when he looked almost melancholic at the memory of this place.Â
No ghost was truly comfortable in their hometown, whether they died there or not. This was where they were born, where their lives began.Â
"I see..." Dan mumbled, glancing to the space where Danny was usually in. His younger brother was off doing kingly duties again, slumped by work and the Observants pestering him about shit.Â
There's a quiet knock on his door and Jeremy was poking his head into the room again. The ghosts didn't even care, continuing to be visible and floating around. Discomfort and a bit of fear was clear on the man's face but he turned to Dante with as much courage as he could muster.Â
"Boss, we've got a lead on the missing kids."Â
Ah, yes. The recent disappearances of children. He doesn't know where they go, what happens to them. All he knows is that children were picked of the streets and never to be seen again.Â
"Someone's been takin' kids?" Kitty grimaced, not minding how Jeremy shuddered. "Dan, dear, darling! Send me and Johnny. We know this city better than Batman and his little birdies."
Again, Dan sighed. "Gimme a minute, Kitty. Not enough information." He grunts, turning to Jeremy to hand him the report.Â
"Anything else?"
"Well... About the Bats..."
"They snoopin' around again?"Â
"Trynna sniff out Phantom." Jeremy shrugs. "Red Hood's been pretty active. Heard he's been wonderin' about Phantom not visitin' the kids last week."Â
"Thanks Jeremy. Tell Marigold I said hi."Â
"Will do, boss!"Â
Once Jeremy left, the other ghosts were swarming Dan like bees. Their eyes glittering with anticipation, excitement, and vengeance. It felt strange for them to pay attention, to follow him. Danny's always felt like the better leader, struggling and suffering in the role yet rising above it all. That was why he was the king now.Â
"Alright, let's get to work. Most of these kids have one thing in common. Their skills. Flexible, acrobatic, and have some sort of combat training. Usually in self defence." Dan plugged in the USB into his laptop, projecting the screen on to the tv. "The latest disappearance is Layla Smithson. Fourteen. Gymnast and was sent to take taekwondo classes by her parents. Before that was Evan Chavez. Another gymnast but was also known to get into multiple fights."
"So whoever is takin' the kiddies, they go after the ones with pretty good skills." Ember hummed, turning to Kitty and then nudging her. "You've got anything to say about that?"Â
"Well... Maybe." Johnny shrugs too.Â
"Ooh! What about that nursery rhyme every Gothamites gets to listen. Y'know. About the court."
Dan frowned. "What court?"Â
"The court of owls!" Kitty grinned, "Beware the Court of Owls, that watches all the time, ruling Gotham from a shadowy perch, behind granite and lime. They watch you at your hearth, they watch you in your bed, speak not a whispered word of them or they'll send the Talon for your head."Â
"Who the fuck uses that kind of shit for a nursery rhyme?" Dan scowled, but considered the possibility. "Any idea if they're real."
"Very." Johnny warned, "When Kitty and I died, we came back here a couple of times. Explored the place and tried to dig up secrets that would have killed us if we were livin'. One of 'em was the court. A secret society of a bunch off rich bastards."
"Johnny," Dan warned, knowing that something was still being kept from him.Â
"There's another thing..." Johnny hesitated but Kitty took his hand and continued.Â
Kitty grimaced, "The Court of Owls has a bunch of soldiers. They got this chemical they use on people, turninâ âem into their own assassins. From what me and Johnny dug up a while back, these assassins were trained when they were kids. They call 'em Talons."
Dan wanted to yell, scream. Burn down the cursed with it's cursed bricks. Fuck. Fuck. Was the world always so shitty?Â
"You're telling me... There's an entire secret society that uses chemicals to turn children into assassins?"Â
Children.... Fucking children. They were weaponizing kids!
Ancients, he might just commit mass genocide again.Â
"Alright. Alright. We leave the living people out of this. The court? Their talons? I want all of you prepared. I'm gonna contact Danny to drag Skulker and Wulf's asses here immediately."
Elle grinned, "GRAB AMORPHO TOO! We're gonna need his help if we want to dismantle the court."
The office is vacated quickly, with Elle dragging Ember and Kitty for girl time and Johnny runs off with shadow. Dan is left alone, frustrated at the new information before he does his best to summon his brother, the very annoyed ghost king that appears before him in full royal regalia.Â
"A bit busy, Dan. Still tryin' to fight the laughing magician to help with getting rid of the Anti-Ecto Acts. Constantine is running around trying to destroy the GIW now."Â
Dan snorted. He knew about John Constantine. The crazy motherfucker who's soul fragments were scattered around and Danny had to deal with the paperwork and mission to collect them all.Â
"I know, yeah, sorry. I get that's important. But we've got a situation here."
"What would that be?"
"Secret society of rich fruitloops that are worse than Vlad. They're kidnapping children and making them into brainless assassins."
Immediately, the room grows colder than the far frozen. Danny's eyes are as green as they could ever be, but his pupils were an icy blue that would have made Frostbite shudder.Â
"What do you need?"
"Skulker, Wulf, and Amorpho."Â
"I'll send them on your way. They'll be here within 3 hours." Danny sucked in a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "I'll finish up things on my end to help."
"Sure thing, twerp."
"Fuck you." Fondly.Â
"Fuck you too." Affectionately.
"OH! Your revenant was looking for you."Â
"THE SEXY RED HOOD WAS LOOKING FOR ME?!"Â
It was an entire week of silence. Of Wraith not doing anything at all. Even the rogues felt apprehensive to act on anything after Wraith's new subordinates started popping up to pester them. The reports were the same. Distorted footage, meta-human abilities, and a ridiculous amount of chaos.Â
Apparently, Two face has waged war on one of them, named Ember. Riddler was also ready to throw hands with Specter. And then Harley and Ivy were hunting down a couple names Kitty and Johnny 13. Why they were named that, none of them knew. But considering Wraith and Phantom's titles, the entire group was Ghost themed. The majority of Gotham have taken to calling them the Ghosts.Â
But then...
"Bruce... Get a look at this." Barbara's voice shook, horrified as she stared at the screen. Majority of the family was already in the cave, preparing to patrol once more. But their eyes were drawn to the screen. They all froze, struggling to fathom what the fuck was it they were looking.Â
"Holy shit."Â
Everyone was frozen, staring at the clear, untampered screen.Â
Bruce sucked in a deep breath, reading the bloody message written on the wall of... He couldn't recognize it properly. "Farewell to the Court of Owls that once watched from their shadowy perch. Their talons covered in the blood of children they once purge. Farewell to their judge, the parliament says goodbye. To Talons, to owls, the ghosts says hi."Â
And right beside the message was the hanging body of what Bruce recognized was the Judge of the Court of Owls.Â
The Court of was in ruins.Â
"Holy shit. HOLY SHIT!" Tim screeched, almost stumbling as he stared at the morbid message. "The Wraith and his ghosts took out the fucking court."
There was a loud rev of an engine, momentarily dragging their attention to Jason who was hurriedly getting of his bike and taking of his helmet. "Fuck, you've already seen it."
"You saw it in real life?! Where the fuck is that? The location is distorted but the entire thing is being broadcasted to the entirety of Gotham."Â
"There are two of 'em. That one's on the clocktower."
Barbara snapped her head towards him, "MY clocktower?!"Â
"Sorry 'bour that Barbie. But it got the job done for them, all of Gotham know about the court now."
Bruce grimaced, "And the other location?"Â
"Arkham... The Talon is the one being hanged up there. The message is shorter: Bye-Bye owls. Shouldn't have messed with the dead." Jason clicked his tongue, "That's either about the fact that the court has been messing with the dead or it's cause Wraith's group is called the Ghosts."Â
Jason shook his head, knowing for the fact that he'd have to track down Phantom soon. His eyes turned towards Dick, who stared at the screen as if a burden was just freed from him. Jason thinks it has.Â
They had found out about the Court a little while ago, then found out about Dick's situation with them. How the circus he grew up in was one of the facilities that groomed Talons. How Dick was supposed to be recruited as one when his parents died.Â
"Dick?" Jason murmured, gently taking Dick's hand. The other man jolted, his domino mask hiding whatever emotions there was in his eyes.Â
"Little Wing..."Â
"C'mon. Let's go grab some of Alfred's cookies. The rest of the family can deal with this." Jason quickly hurried his older brother out the cave, urging him to change our of his suit.Â
Dick, once again, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders, struggled to understand that his nightmare that was the Court was finally dead. Most likely slaughtered by the hands of a new crime lord, a rogue that seemed desperate to keep children safe. He held the tea tightly, closing his eyes as Jason sat opposite to him.Â
The court was dead.Â
Talon was dead.Â
"I'm gonna go look for Phantom in a bit." Jason hummed, trying to appear comforting to Dick.Â
And the image of the Judge of the court's body hanging from the clocktower flashes in his head again.Â
"Jason." Dick whispered, "Get me a meeting with Wraith."
"What?" Jason blinked, "Dickie, no. Wraith might seem like a pretty nice guy with how he's protecting the kids, but he's still..." He paused, "He's still like me."Â
"I need to meet him, Jaybird. I need to confirm that the Court is gone for good. He's the only one who can do that for me."Â
"Why would Phantom even let you meet him?"
Dick frowned, sucking in a deep breath before taking Jason's hands.Â
"Tell him that Nightwing was supposed to be a Talon."

Powehouse AU: aka Danny Fenton tries to be a normal college student in the midwest yet is forced to continue to be a hero in secret as ghosts won't leave him alone and soon, neither will the Justice League when he pops up as a new hero.
Additional info and art under readmore:
ANYWAYS, here is some powerhouse au information.
Danny as he grows up manages to keep the ghost situation under control to a point he isn't overly active as Phantom. He finishes highschool no problem and goes to uni over in Central City for Maths and Engineering (not an overtly big fan of the space motif and instead, I'm shoving my boy into something cooler: PLANES! He's studying specifically mechanical engineering and has plans to go to a trade school after his B.S. for A&P mechanics.)
Sam goes to Gotham State University for Ethnobotany and works in one of the unis library part time. Tucker is going to Star City College for Computer Science and a minor in archeology, he tutors part time.
Danny's main design is inspired by a combo of military and blue collar uniforms (you can also see exactly what I reference). I also couldn't decide a face mask so you get all three options.
So as Danny moves to Central City and attends uni, his rouges do sadly follow him and wreck havoc. Danny is stressed from school so he doesn't do quips as much, in fact, he's trying to get this under control as fast as possible so he can go back and study. Here's the thing, no one outside of Amityville has seen Phantom so all of the sudden what seems to be a meta? an alien? something not human? coming out and taking down rouges that, due to being ghosts, other heros struggle to contain and handle.
Speculation rises about Phantom and who he is. Danny is smart and thought this through, kinda. His costume is a modified look what he wore as a kid but he pulls in more military/uniform aspects to make it seem like he belongs to someone or some organization. That maybe somewhere in the US, an organization managed to make a hero of sorts that mimics Green Lanterns. It's just a big red herring, Danny wants them to look for someone older, probably more experienced, and a different background. Not some tired college student struggling with his studies.
Things do start to get dicey when heroes actively try to interact with him, mostly the Flash (because Central City), Superman, and the Green Lantern. Most interactions end up with Phantom not wanting to fight and fleeing or when cornered to fight, he's messy and inexperienced compared to the other heroes. He doesn't stay around and rarely even talks. It's concerning more so because the heroes aren't sure with who they're dealing with and after a few interactions, they aren't sure Phantom is on their side. Just too many questions around him.
This leads to heroes actively trying to capture and bring in Phantom. The more failed attempts that happen, the more flightly Phantom acts when they end up interrupting him capturing his rouges. They do eventually capture Phantom (thank you Superman) and that's kinda where I end on information on this AU. It's just me having fun with interactions and also designing costumes :)
ALSO DANNY IS ROMA/DIDICOY I NEED TO MENTION THAT!!! (Dick Grayson đ¤ Danny Fenton being didicoy)

Domestic Arkham!Jason Todd Headcanons
Yâall ever think about the inherent tragedy of Arkham!Jason craving something as simple as domesticity?Â
How he craves the comfort of home-cooked meals, but canât actually eat anything he hasnât prepared himself. Because during his time in Jokerâs captivity, almost everything he was served was either poisoned or rotten, and now every time he eats, itâs like heâs expecting the burn of poison or the flavor of something sour and rotten flooding his mouth.
Can you imagine the frustration he must feel at his inability to share a simple meal with you?Â
The sudden clench in his gut when he realizes that he wasnât there to watch you prepare the food, and despite the fact that he trusts you, he canât help that familiar dread rising in the back of his throat.Â
Jason tries, for you, he tries.Â
But there are times, more often than not, when he feels the phantom burn of poison or the flavor of something sour and rotten flooding his mouthâand his body reacts before his mind does.Â
And suddenly heâs hunched over the sink or the toilet, vomiting out half-digested food, and itâs almost like he never left Arkham Asylum.
Can you imagine the absolute burning jealousy he feels whenever his family interacts with you with an ease he can only dream of?Â
Maybe itâs a movie night, during one of those rare times when Gotham City didnât need saving, and thereâs Tim and Dick and Barbara piled on the couch. And you fit so well with themâa tangle of limbs and careless laughter at a dumb joke Dick madeâthat itâs Jason who feels like an outsider.Â
Jason sits apart from all of you, the only person to pick an armchair instead of the couch, because every time he tries to sit close to someone, all he can think is whether theyâre close enough to see his scars.
The table is piled high with snacks, more than the five of you can realistically eat in an evening. Thereâs popcorn and pizza, mozzarella sticks and pretzels, several bars of chocolate that can only be found in Bludhaven, the air is thick with the smell of grease and cheese dust.Â
And itâs almost like being a teenager again. Before that night and the Joker and everything else that followed.Â
Itâs almost like being a teenager again, dizzy with the good fortune of being adopted by Bruce fucking Wayne, watching some dumb flick with his siblings when he was supposed to be training. Ordering takeout food and laughing along with Dick at Alfredâs visible disappointment as they stuff their faces.Â
Itâs almost like being a teenager again, but not quite.Â
Jason watches the four of you pass around a bowl of popcorn, arguing about which genre of movie to start with. But when Barbara tries to hand it to him, he feels a sudden clot of heat in his chest, and heâs already shaking his head before he even knows why.Â
And he realizes, heâs afraid.Â
He doesnât know who made the food or what restaurant it was ordered from, and he is sure if he asks, no one would be able to give him all of the names of people who handled it.Â
The burn of poison and the taste of something sour and rotten flooding his mouth.
Poisoned cake and rotting rats. The writhing of pale white maggots against bone and glistening meat and gristle.
He doesnât touch anything for the rest of the evening.
Can you imagine how scared he is?Â
Jason is so acutely, painfully aware of how exhausting it is to be with him. To be with someone you canât even share a simple meal with.Â
And he wonders how long it will be before you get tired of him.
Bruce, after all, had left after he had seen the twisted thing Jason had become.Â
And if his own father couldnât even stomach his presenceâ
And suddenly heâs hunched over again, over the sink or against the toilet, vomiting out half-digested food.Â
And it really is like he never left Arkham Asylum after all.
This is what he thinks, when he finally collapses on the tiles of your bathroom floor, cold sweat pouring down his face. Your presence hovering over him like a ghost, a thousand apologies pouring from your throat.Â
But itâs not you thatâs the problem, itâs him.Â
Itâs this awful thing in the back of his head, always expecting the next threat, the next injury, the next sick game the Joker has come up with.Â
Itâs the fact that his days with the Joker had left him so twisted and strange that he can no longer fit into a normal life, even when he wants to.Â
And this is what he thinks, when you catch the way he is not watching the movie at all. But instead he is looking at his familyâs faces, his chest pulsing with a jealousy so fierce it might as well have been his heartbeat.
Jason wishesâoh, how he wishesâit was that easy, that simple for him.Â
You disentangle yourself from his siblingsâDick had already fallen asleep, head lolling heavily on your shoulder, to pad your way to him. You sink down onto the armchair to share it with him, practically on top of him, and he marvels at the way your heat dispels the chill that has crept over him.Â
Your hands are small compared to his, but they are just big enough that when you lay them atop of his, he does not have to think about whether you can see the scars.Â
This is what he thinks, on days like these. It is something he always thinks, a small voice in the back of his head that is never silenced. Â
He doesn't deserve you.Â

Danny is done. He is tired. He is dead. He deserves a sweet treat and to hibernate under fifteen weighted blankets for nine years.
Instead he is standing in the Gotham City cross country bus station with a dead phone and no sweet treats. He had had the misfortune of having avid ghost hunters as parents, who had demanded he help them with their latest invention instead of joining his friends on a fancy bus hired by Casper High to take them on a multiday, multicollege trip. Apparently they had made an agreement with the school that as long as he met the school trip in one of the cities and still paid for the whole trip, he could still take part and at least catch the school bus home.
Of course, exhausted after helping his parents, catching up on homework, and taking out some ghosts Danny ended up falling asleep on his bus. Now he was standing alone, cold, half-dead, in Gotham Cityâs main bus center with a dufflebag of clothes and backpack of ghost supplies his parents forced on him.
The school trip was, thankfully, passing through Gotham as one of the universities but they had multiple cities to hit before they got to Gotham. According to the itinerary it would take at least five days for them to hit Gotham and even then theyd be arriving late in the evening.
Danny had to find a place to stay for five nights and something to do for five days. Thankfully, Gotham city is seeped in ectoplasm which means its full of ghosts. Ghost who are more than happy to help a lost boy find a place to stay.
Danny chats with some ghosts, being pointed this way and that before he finds a nice old man dress in a fine suit with an unfortunate gunshot wound to his chest. The man offers to lead Danny to an excellent and cheap place to stay and Danny⌠is too tired to care honestly. He follows the ghost across the city, hails a taxi, repeats the address the ghost gives him, missing the taxi drivers shocked stare, and falls asleep in the taxi.
He is woken up by gentle taps on the glass by an older looking man and gives a half asleep mumbled thanks to the taxi driver as the old man takes his bags inside. Even in his tired state Danny has the sense to offer to carry his own bags but is politely and sternly refused by a british accent which is enough to wake him up.
Standing in the entrance way of a luxury⌠hotel? It doesnt seem to have a reception, though, and the decorations feel far to personalized. He glances around to find the helpful ghost staring wistfully at one of the larger portraits. A family of three, a beautiful woman with shoulder length dark curls, a young boy with dark hair and a bright smile, and the face of the kindly ghost.
The butler(?!) calls for Danny to keep up and he rushes to catch up, more out of instinct than sense. The ghost wanders casually after them, pausing to admire artwork every now and again.
The butler drops Dannyâs bags in what seems to be a guest room, or maybe this really was just an incredibly fancy hotel, the room had its own ensuite, desk, and empty closet and chest of drawers. Honestly Danny couldnt even hazard a guess anymore.
The butler(manager?) informed him that breakfast was at 8 am sharp every morning and dinner was 6 pm sharp every evening. Danny gave a dazed nod which was apparently all the older man needed before he vanished back into the hallway. Almost as quickly as the ghost did after giving Danny one last cheeky grin.
Queue Danny being weirdly introduced to the Batfam and doing his best to avoid the adoption papers at all costs while also trying NOT to be eldritch and strange around this also eldritch and strange family.

Bernard was being haunted.
His sus-o-meter isn't up to 100%, but if he's being real, it never is. The downside of being into conspiracy theories was that you were only partially sure which one was more skewed than the other. One day he could be convinced Batman is more cryptid than man, and then he'd stumble on some fascinating witness accounts that make him rethink the Vampire hypothesis.
This time, however, he's fairly sure this sort of freaky shit only happens to people in those cookie-cutter horror movies.
⌠Except this particular ghost might be of midwestern decent, or something, because they sucked at properly haunting.
Example number one:
It was rare that Bernard had dishes piled up. He lived alone, and occasionally Tim would come to his apartment; with a couple of games, some takeout boxes, and a movie later, there would be way more things to clean up than a whole weekend on his own.
The last time Tim came over, Bernard didn't bother cleaning up for the night, and then the trash justâŚ. Disappeared.
Not like 'a burglar broke in for some weird fetish reason, and my trash is now gone' gone, but more 'the trash is in bags, the dishes are clean, and I swear the air smells fresher' gone.
That was strike one.
He brushed it off because Tim had been there. It was unlikely he just went on a stress cleaning spree at Bernard's place but⌠Well, Bernard's caught him doing way weirder shit. It's fine.
(it's not fine. You just didn't move things around on someone else's turf.
"âŚClean up?" Tim echoed back from the phone, sounding as confused as Bernard felt the following morning. "I-- no, of course not!" and then hurriedly continued to reassure Bernard he'd never do that. Because Tim was nice like that, even after Bernard low-key accused him of giving him the Gotham equivalent of pissing in someone else's yard.
So, that was strike one in the back of his hindbrain that something was up.)
Strike two and three came together.
See, in Gotham's economy, sometimes your employer doesn't have your paycheck the week it should be. Who cares if you need to pay rent through or your landlord will double your rent? Neither your boss nor the landlord in question, obviously. So what he usually did was have a nest egg the size of his rent just in case.
But this month Bernard had splurged a little too much, so he was short. It was nothing big, he was just five bucks short.
The issue was, that his landlord was paranoid and was already breathing down his neck for not paying the next month's rent the day before the new month started. Like clockwork, his landlord put a warning under his door, ready to evict him the same day the month started if Bernard didn't have the rent in cash the next morning.
He knew the eviction notice was at the door, but chose to ignore it because it didn't matter, he'd get those five one way or another by the end of the day.
By the time he came back, two things were out of place. The first was the eviction notice on his table. Again, no one moved someone else's shit around.
Strike three happened while counting his nest egg, and would you look at that! He had more money than he'd counted. Nothing ridiculous, just⌠He had those five bucks now.
All these little things were easy to miss, or misremember, but Bernard was not most people. But the catch here was⌠All these things were good things. Sort of.
So not only was this happening when he wasn't around, but they were happening to his⌠Advantage? He'd even call it good fortune if one was willing to ignore the lack of privacy⌠And maybe he would have, if this wasn't Gotham. Privacy was a mix between a luxury and a currency. Sometimes a kindness.
In some ways maybe it would have been an effective scare tactic, to mess someone's shit up, but this was not the way he'd personally go about it if he wanted someone to leave the building.
So here Bernard was, staring again at the dishes he had placed as bait, because he wasn't an idiot and tempting a ghost into anything remotely violent was stupid. The dishes were cleaned.
He squinted at the ceiling, then at the rest of his apartment, trying to gauge whether trying to make first contact was going to get him more haunted, killed, or turn him into a Saturday morning cartoon.
Finally, he picked up a cup. Not a glass cup, because why would he give the ghost any ammunition, but a couple of fairly clear plastic cups, a marker, two sticky notes, and filled both cups with tap water decently enough so a mild tremble would be noticeable.
The first sticky note said "Yes", and the second, predictably, said "No."
"So." Bernard sat in front of the cups, feeling halfway like a dumbass for doing this in the first place, and halfway like he's about to do the worst decision of his life because it might just work. "You from out of town, or are you just really shitty at this?"

There is No Closure, Just Adapting To Life
Ao3 link: Here Master list: Here
Summary:
Danny should have asked more questions before accepting the request to fix a different dimension's time stream from Clockwork. He didnât think he would be de-aged and live a different life where he would latch on to a new family and friends. It was nice being a part of a community of heroes.
It really wouldnât have been that bad if he stayed there. Too bad that he was pulled from that world and back into his old one, both fulfilling his wish to see his original family and killing all the relationships with his new ones.
Now he has to figure out how to live in his original dimension again. And maybe, just maybe find a way to visit the one he forcefully left behind.
Chapter 1: Your trial period is over; your account has been put on hold.
Danny shouldn't be thinking about the past life he lived, shouldn't think about the parents who adopted him only to disappear for months at a time, nor the vigilante family heâd inserted himself into during their time of need. That life wasn't his to begin with! Just a dimension with a timeline that needed fixing in an unconventional way.Â
So, why is he crying?Â
He just got back to his home, time hadnât passed here. He can see Sam, Tucker, and Jazz again! (He'll never see Cass, Jason, Dick, Damien, Steph, Kon â) He's more experienced and better at fighting now. He can protect Amity better! (He misses Gotham. The city seemed to make heroes feel like magic) Danny has his original life back⌠but damn it, he wants to go back! He doesn't want to protect a city alone again!Â
Danny curls into himself on his bed. Silent sobs racking his body. He's so different than he was before. His hair was longer and parted in the middle, nothing like his usual, (old), fringe style. His missing scars and the new ones he can't explain. Gods-Â (No, wait, it's Ancients) he is missing his spleen! How was he going to explain that, or any of this? Even as his sobs grew more violent, their volume didn't increase.Â
A trick he learned in the Wayne manor.Â
He didn't want to disturb anyone with his half remembered dreams of a different life.
Danny took a shuddering breath, the feelings heâd been trying to bury since his return hitting him full force. Heâd been sucked back to his original dimension without warning a day ago. Clockwork, that bastard, didn't even give him time to say goodbye to the rest of the Bats and Birds. He was in his apartment as Tim Drake one second and plopped in Danny Fenton's bedroom the next.Â
His talk with the older ghost didn't make the situation any better.Â
He didn't explain anything! Just that his work in that dimension's timeline was done. If Clockwork hadn't time locked the portal Danny would've been in the ancientâs lair instead of dissociating in a room that doesn't feel like his anymore. He hates not being given a choice or having a plan.Â
Jason was right; anger was so much easier than actually dealing with your feelings.
His spiraling was stopped when he heard a soft knock on his door. Oh, heâd forgotten that Jazz was home. Living through a lifetime made him forget a lot about his first one. He didn't get time to follow the new spiral of thoughts before his sister opened the door.Â
"Danny?" Her voice was soft, laced with worry.
"Yeah," He hates how hoarse his voice sounds.
He should be better than this; heâs infiltrated the league of assassins for Ancientsâ sake. He watched as she approached his bed, buried beneath blankets. He can hear when she actually sees him by her gasp.Â
"What happened?" Jazz asked as she sat on the bed facing him.
"I⌠I fixed a timeline in a different dimension for Clockwork." Danny can't bring himself to look at her. Everything is still fresh. The feeling he can just barely comprehend as grief has yet to settle inside him. He takes a deep breath. He can compartmentalize this and deal with it after Jazz leaves.
"How long were you gone this time, a month or two?" Jazz looks at him with unending patience and care.Â
"17 years," He whispers hesitantly.
"Oh⌠oh, Danny." He couldnât have prepared himself for the shock and pained confusion on her face. She leaned her over him, pulling him into a tight hug.
Oh, he can't compartmentalize this after all. Dannyâs breath hitched as fat tears began rolling down his face, dampening his pillow even more. His life as Tim made him forget what it was like to have unending support from a sibling. He loved the hodge podge of the Waynes, but he was a vigilante first. He wasnât really family.
Just a coworker.
âYou donât have to talk about it if itâs too much. Just know that Iâll always be here for you little brother,â Jazzâs voice was gentle. Oh, did he miss her during those years. Cass and Barbara helped him cope with missing Jazz whether they knew it or not. He turned into her, relishing in the fact she was here. He may be missing a whole new family, but he got his old one back.
âI missed you, Jazz. Can you stay here with me for a little while?â He pleaded between silent sobs.
âOf course. Iâll be here as long as you need.â
---------âxâ---------
Tim woke up to the sound of typing and the sight of red hair. He must have crashed at Barbaraâs last night. He sits up, not fully awake just yet.
âMorning, Babs,â he yawns, eyes blurry.Â
The gentle but persistent clicking of keys stops with a hitch of her breath. "Danny, it's me Jazz. Is Babs someone you were close to⌠before?"Â
The voice he hears back isn't Barbara's.
It's one he barely recognizes now, made even harder to place with the barely covered pain. Jazz deserves a better brother than him.Â
What kind of brother is he, that he doesn't even remember his own sister at first glance.Â
Danny takes a deep shaky breath. No, he can't think like that. He hasn't seen her in 17 years, Of course he isn't going to recognize her. Still she hasn't changed one bit.Â
He can't tell if that makes it better or worse.
"Yeah" he croaks, voice rough from sleep and the lump that's formed in his throat. âShe has hair like yours.â
âOh⌠do you want to talk about it?â she offers awkwardly. She was completely out of her depth but still wanting to help in her own way. (Alfred would have loved to meet her.)
Danny shakes his head, pushing past the aching in his chest as he drags himself out of bed. He doesn't look back at Jazz, he doesn't want to see the pitying look in her eyes. Something ugly, angry, and raw always tends to creep into him when that particular emotion is directed at him, and she doesn't deserve that.
What a cruel joke that the one thing that he gets in spades in both lives is pity.
He needs a strategy if he plans to survive the next couple of days, (the rest of his life), and that starts small. Get ready and investigate what the hell was happening in his life before⌠his time mission. He lost so much time with his breakdown, how annoying.Â
Tim (no, he's Danny now) huffs, opening his closet. Well before he starts anything he needs a damn shower.Â
---------âxâ---------
By the time Danny was clean and dressed, Jazz had left him with a journal with his name on it and her scrapbook. Ancients, she really is the best big sister. (Cass would contest that).Â
He knows that he should dive into them right away, but⌠he can put it off a little longer. Remembering and relearning will take time, and he has all the time in the world now, whether he likes it or not. Diving deep will be too much. Heâs too emotionally raw, and just needs something to latch on to, like:Â
Next day survival plan 101, start small.Â
He can look at Dannyâs phone; heâll figure out what to do with Timâs later. Remember, one step at a time; one thing at a time. Finding the device was easy, it was on the nightstand where he always leaves it. Seems like this is one of the habits he kept in both lifes. Opening it up was easier than he originally expected; he really didn't have a sense of cybersecurity beyond Tucker back then.
(âŚNow?)
The device was familiar in so many different ways; he always did gravitate towards technology (with Tucker pushing him forward right next to him). The screen lit up, showing the basic layout of all phones; he dismissed notifications from dumb games, leaving the social media ones. What he was really looking for was his messages.
He had a couple new messages from Sam and Tucker in their group chat. He should look at the chat, but, in doing so, he'd be facing the people he had been grieving their missing presence for the last 17 years. A missing presence that had him picked up so many new hobbies, just because they reminded him of his two best friends. Danny would have never touched a camera if it wasn't for the ache in his chest everytime he passed a looming gargoyle. The hundreds of pictures will finally be seen by their intended audience, if he could only get himself to open the gods damned chat!
Shaky breath slips from his lips as he steadies his thoughts. Baby steps. Look at the messages and go from there.
â New Messages â
PettyWitch
Tucker I swear if your ass isn't up rn, I'm coming over and replacing all of the meat in your fridge with lettuce.
TFine
give me a sec 2 get down there you can stop calling meÂ
i'm not going to answer
what about Danny
how come you aren't calling HIM!!!!!
PettyWitch
Bc Danny can actually get up before noon during the weekends unlike other people in this chat! So he can be trusted to get to Nasty Burger on time.Â
TFine
HEY!
Their banter goes on. Danny scrolls through it with a painful kind of fondness draping over him. A hole that once gouged his heart was being filled, only to have a different part get ripped out for the same reason. The people he missed will always have some type of mouth on them, especially one that gets them in trouble. Moving past the too fresh grief and focusing on the conversation at hand does bring about a pressing issue, he's supposed to meet up with Sam and Tucker soon.
Shit.
Looks like he's facing more ghosts of his past-turned-present sooner than he thought. It's Tucker and Sam. They stuck with him through his death and his first hero career. If anyone besides Jazz could sympathize with him, it was them. Resolve hardened like the Bat he is (was âthere is no way back to them now), he spends the little remaining time flipping through pictures and looping handwriting as he pieces the memory of his old life back together.

Letters in Green Ink: Phantom's Footsteps on Gotham's Rooftops
Tim Drake was no stranger to paranoia. It was practically a job requirement in Gotham. But this? This was getting weird.
It started small: the feeling of being watched on rooftops, a shadow a little too close. Harmless, at first. But then the sticky notes began.
Random, anonymous sticky notes. Clues heâd missed. Addresses for gang hideouts. Details on corrupt businessmen.
He found one on his motorcycle seat. Another on the Batcomputer. A bright green note scrawled with:
âCheck the docks. Midnight.â
Tim had learned to trust his gut, and his gut was screaming: This is not normal.
---------------
Meanwhile, in another corner of Gotham:
Danny Fenton was hovering invisibly above a warehouse, nervously biting his lip. He was shaking. Not because he was scared of Gothamâs criminals. Nope. The real danger? Red Robinâs eyes.
Danny: internal screaming 'Why did I think this was a good idea?'
Also Danny: hovering invisibly above Tim, whispering to himself: âOkay, Danny. Youâre helping. Youâre useful. He doesnât need to know youâre a stalker. A cool stalker. Like a⌠guardian angel! Yes. Totally fine. Not creepy at all.â
---------------
Tim, mid-stakeout, could feel the eyes. Again. He spun around, batarang ready. Nothing. Just empty shadows. The wind.
He scowled. âAlright, whoever you are. Youâre getting annoying.â
---------------
Danny floated a few rooftops away, clutching his chest. âOh my god, he spoke. And heâs mad. Why is that hot?â
He watched as Red Robin took down three thugs single-handedly. His fighting was brutal, efficient. Danny, invisible and swooning, whispered: âHeâs so cool.â
---------------
The next night: a bust gone sideways. Tim found himself cornered by more goons than expected, already calculating the least-bad injury. Then, out of nowhere, a ghostly chill swept through the alley.
Blowtorch thug? Frozen solid.
Gunman? Knocked out cold.
And there, floating in the moonlight, glowing white hair and intense green eyes: Phantom.
Timâs eyes narrowed. âYou. Youâre the one whoâs beenââ
Phantom blinked, stammered, âUh, gotta go!â and vanished like a startled deer.
---------------
Back in his lair (aka an abandoned Gotham clocktower because aestheticâ˘ď¸), Danny spiraled. âHe saw me. He saw me! Oh god, why did I freeze that guy? Cool guys donât freeze goons.â
Jazzâs voice in his head: âDanny, you have to stop.â
Danny: âI CANâT, JAZZ. HEâS TOO PRETTY.â
---------------
Tim was in full detective mode. Batman-level scowling. âPhantom. Ghost powers. Clearly interested in my cases. Why?â
He scanned the city. Ran searches. No results.
But the sticky notes kept coming.
âCheck the East End warehouse. 10pm.â
âWatch out for the armored guy. He has backup.â
Tim didnât know what was more frustrating: the lack of information, or the fact that Phantom was always right.
---------------
Finally, one night, Tim cornered him. Literally. Phantom turned a corner and smacked into Red Robin. Hard.
Tim crossed his arms. âAlright. Talk.â
Danny, blushing so hard his glow flickered. âUh⌠hi.â
Tim narrowed his eyes. âWhy are you following me?â
Danny, brain short-circuiting: âI LIKE YOUR⌠uh, CAPE.â
Tim blinked. âMy cape.â
Danny nodded furiously. âItâs⌠cool. Flowy.â
Tim stared. Silence stretched. Then: âYouâre helping me.â
Danny swallowed. âUm. Yeah?â
Timâs voice softened. âWhy?â
Danny, panicking, blurted: âBecause I like you!â
---------------
Silence.
Timâs brain: Error 404.
Danny: contemplating phasing into the floor.
Finally, Tim sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. âYou⌠are the most chaotic stalker Iâve ever had.â
Danny, grinning nervously: âSo, um. Friends?â
Tim raised an eyebrow. âWeâll start with coworkers.â
---------------
Danny, flying away, fist-pumping in the air: âHe didnât say no!â
Tim, watching him go, muttering: âI need coffee. And maybe an exorcist.â

Dc x Dp Prompt #7: Pavlovâs Ghost Would be so Proud
In which Jazz tries to play matchmaker and accidentally classically conditions her new friend, Jason, into liking her brother.
Basically, Jazz is a college student at Gotham U when she shares a Lit class with Jason Peterson and they bond over deeply analyzing the characters. Jazz isnât looking for a relationship (maybe she has a partner? Maybe she wants to focus on her studies? Iâm low key considering aro-spec Jazz but who knows?) but she thinks Jason would get along great with her brother Danny and decides she wants to set them up.
She bribes Jason into coming over to study or hang out with the promise of fudge and take out and incidentally observes him deeply enjoying said food. She decides that since eating food puts Jason in a good mood thatâs when it would be best to talk up her brother. So the next time Jason came over she casually steered the conversation toward her brotherâs recent endeavors to transfer to Gotham in order to be closer to her because heâs so sweet and protective. She then offers Jason a slice of cheesecake she had leftover from a lunch out with the some friends which he graciously accepts. Then, just as he starts eating Jazz goes âoh here let me show you a picture of Danny!â and shows off her cute younger brother to her friend.
She doesnât do it every time she and Jason meet because she figures thatâs be too obvious but every time he comes over she offers him food knowing it puts him in a good mood so she can talk up her brother. Itâs just that she says his name or shows him a picture of whatever Dannyâs been up to recently while heâs eating.
Jazz just genuinely believes sheâs just doing her best to be a good wing woman. Itâs not until Danny actually moves to Gotham and Jazz decides to introduce them that she realizes what sheâs done. She invites Jason over to come meet her brother and watches her how when he sees Danny he gives him an actual genuine smile, not a polite smile you give strangers, but one with actual joy. This is followed quickly by a sense of visible confusion in Jasonâs eyes and Jazz starts to connect the dots.
She excuses herself to the kitchen to go get the snacks she was planning to serve as she looks down at the tray she realizes âOh my gosh Iâve been classically conditioning Jason to associate joy with my brotherâ! She puts together that an unconditioned stimulus = food (specifically served in her apartment) -> unconditoned response = Jason feels happy/good and that by talking about and showing off her brother every time Jason eats she made her brother a conditioned stimulus for Jason to associate with happiness.
She mentally groans realizing what sheâs done but then looks back over at Danny and Jason hitting it off and canât bring herself to fully regret it. This kinda was her goal as a wingwoman after all. She brings that snacks over to see a flush on her brotherâs face and the tips of Jasonâs ears red and thinks with a big grin âHey! Maybe if this goes really well itâll be a fun story to tell at their hypothetical wedding!â

Child of the Bat.
Yandere! Batfamily x Neglected! Reader
Chapter: 2
first, prev, next
Synopsis: you and your mystery horror author mother moved to Gotham for a fresh new start. At first you hated the idea of moving. You wanted to stay in Georgia with all of your friends and all of the familiar faces but soon you had to say goodbye. A few months into your new Gothamite lifeâdisaster struck and your mother died. It was revealed that youâre also Bruce Wayneâs bio child. And so you moved in with him and his sea of children. Will you survive this new change in your life? Or will you succumb to the pressures of Gotham and its corruption?
Tw: grief, possible disturbing flashbacks
âââ
It has approximately been 90 days since you moved into Wayne Manor to live with Bruce Wayne and his gaggle of children.
Iâm sorry
I mean your ⌠father and new siblings.
Technically they werenât your blood siblingsâonly one was, but I digress.
You believe that it wouldâve been hectic, moving into a new place to live with the man thatâs your father. You assumed the children would crowd youâask a multitude of questions, as well as be bombarded and not have much space. But, you was proven wrong.
You was completely wrong.
It felt as if you was a ghostâsometimes.
ââ-
When you first moved into the manor, you was first greeted by the butler Alfred Pennyworth. You was holding onto your suitcase, book bag and your skateboard when you came across him. You had to look up a bit to meet his gaze.
He had peach skin with a few strains of silvery hair on his headâand warm and wide brown eyes staring into your own. His expression was sorrowful. The first thing he said was,
âMy condolences, Mistress Y/N. It must be so difficult for you to go through this. My name is Alfred Pennyworth.â His voice was like a gentle hand holding onto yours to give reassurance.
He was staring at you as your blue eyes bore into hisâit was like he was looking at a young Bruce again.
â⌠thank you, Mr. Alfred..â your voice pierced through the silent hum of the Wayne Manor. Your voice was silent and choppy, âI⌠thank you for letting me stay.. Iâll try not to be of much trouble..â
Alfred stepped forward, his brow furrowed, âYou will not be a burden. Do not think of yourself as such⌠please.â He put a hand on your flannel covered shoulder this time.
â.. thank you.â You said once more then brought your gaze around the area. Old fashioned gothic architecture with red rugs and their intricate golden designs. The dark wooden floors with the grand staircase and of course the silver lamps and chandeliers.
â.. itâs.. gorgeous. Whereâs..? Um. Dad?â The term dad felt weird on your lipsâfor you never used that term before. Growing up, your mother had boyfriends but they never stuck around to be something more than that.
Alfred straightened a bit, âI deeply apologize but your father is.. busy.â
You nodded in an understandable sense. You get it. Heâs a CEO to one of the most powerful companies in the United Statesâof course heâs a busy man. He wonât always be here.
âItâs fine.â You said.
âCome,â Alfred grabbed some of your bags and started to go upstairs, âallow me to show you to your room.â
You said thank you once more as you followed him upstairs.
As you walked upstairs, your blue eyes gazed upon the numerous pictures of the Waynes on the wallâsome frames were big while others were small. On some they were laughing, others, they were goofy or posing chaotically. It made you feel slightly at ease. Maybe thisâll be greatâmaybe these rich kids will be kind to you.
Your motherâs terrified face came into view. Her arms were wrapped around you as you both sat on the filthy grounds of an abandoned warehouse. Horrible laughter echoed throughout your mind-
âNo.â You muttered to yourself as your eyes shut.
There was silence then shuffle of movement.
A soft hand caressed your shoulder, âMistress Y/N?â
You opened your wet eyes to gaze at the ground.
âIâm.. Iâm fine.. I just.. I miss her.. I miss her so much, I donât want this to be real..â you muttered.
Alfred said nothing as he set your bags down and hugged you tightlyâas if he did this all beforeâknew how to comfort someone who lost their loved ones to this forsaken city.
You didnât hug back, you simply closed your eyes and rested your head on his shoulder.
ââ-
The bedroom was⌠huge.
Dare you say, it was almost bigger than the apartment you grew up in.
Your new bedroom had a king size bed, with a mahogany twin dresser. One in front of your bed and the other being against the wall to the right of you. A TV rested on top of the one at the front of your bedâwith two night stands resting on both ends of the bed as well. You looked to the window to see that the curtains were a deep redâthick and vintage. Then you finally looked two doors and opened it slightlyâpeaking in to see a rather big bathroom. The other you opened led to more closet space.
âThis⌠is incredible.â You muttered to yourself, âT-.. thank you.â You stuttered out to Alfred, waking out of the bathroom to see him putting your bags down.
âYouâre welcome, Mistress Y/N. Though.. I deeply apologize your room being a bit further from the othersâthe family has been growing quite a lot and-â
You held your hand up slightly and said, âheh itâs fine. I um. Like the space. Itâs really lovely.â
He gave you a small sorrowful smile, âvery well. Do please let me know if you need anything.â
âIf I donât get lost first-.. haha. That was a joke.â
Alfred nodded, âdonât worry, I picked up on it. Also, do forgive the family, everybody is out and about. Master Bruce is out of town, on business. He wonât be back until another couple days. You will meet everyone very soon. Damian is coming home soon since heâs still in school. Tim, Duke and Cassandra commute to university. And Jason pops in from time to timeârather often actually.â
âWow, this is a lot of peopleâIâm sure things will go smoothly.â You thought to yourself. At this point, you just want to take these things one step at a time⌠just one step at a time.
Just one step at a time.
Just one step at a time in this new, grand isolated world

On The Quieter Nights (Part 3)
Richard Grayson x Jealous! Reader
Part 1 | Part 2
Way more comfort than the last two, and a considerable amount of fluffđ
Weeks passed in a blur, each day dragging on as Dick tried to navigate the treacherous waters of his emotions. He threw himself into workâtraining sessions with the Titans, late-night patrols alongside Bruce, and occasionally meeting up with Barbara, who was doing her best to support him. But amid all the chaos, your absence lingered like a ghost haunting his every move.
It was on a crisp autumn evening that fate decided to intervene. Gothamâs skyline shimmered against the backdrop of dusk, and Dick found himself walking through the streets, a hot cup of coffee warming his hands. The aroma filled his senses, and for a brief moment, he could almost convince himself that everything was back to normal. But when he turned the corner onto a bustling side street, time seemed to freeze.
There you were.
Standing outside an art gallery, dressed casually yet effortlessly stunning, your laughter floated through the air as you chatted with a friend. Dickâs heart dropped to his stomach, unable to tear his gaze away. That familiar spark of joy he once felt when he saw you ignited again, but it was quickly snuffed out by a wave of embarrassment and regret.
He had wished he could run to you, to pull you into his arms and tell you how much he missed you. But the memory of your last conversation â the look that had cracked his heart open â paralyzed him in place. Instead, he took a short step back, hoping you wouldnât see him, but it was too late.
You glanced over, catching sight of him. Your smile faltered, replaced by a rush of conflicting emotions that flashed across your eyes. He could see the hint of surprise mixed with something darker, something hurt. With an awkward wave, you turned back to your friend, and for a moment, relief washed over him. Maybe you didnât want to talk.
But then, against all his instincts, he found himself stepping forward. He needed closure. He owed it to you to at least ask how you were doing. âHey,â he called, his voice barely above a whisper.
You turned back around, your friend excusing themselves with a knowing glance before retreating into the gallery. Silence flooded the space between the two of you as you looked at him, brow furrowed.
âDick,â you said slowly, the weight of his name hanging in the air. âI didnât expect to see you here.â
âYeah, I⌠I didnât expect to see you either,â he admitted, forcing a smile that felt foreign on his face. âHow have you been?â
Your expression softened, but there was still a hint of guardedness. âIâve been okay. Busy with work, you know?â You gestured towards the gallery as if it was a shield from your true feelings. âJust staying busy.â
âI get that,â he murmured, his heart aching for what once was. âIâve⌠Iâve missed you.â
A brief silence followed before you spoke again, your tone cautious. âMissed me? Itâs been weeks, Dick. And youâre with Barbara.â
At the mention of Barbara, a pang of guilt flared up within him. âWe havenâtâŚâ he started, searching for the right words. âItâs not what you think. We were just trying to help each other out after⌠well, after everything.â
You looked away, a shadow crossing your features. âI see.â
âI know I hurt you. And I never wanted to,â he continued, stepping closer. âI just didnât realize how much you meant to me until you were gone. I wish I could take back what happened.â
Your gaze met his, and for a moment, he saw a glimmer of the love that had once existed between you. But then it flickered away, replaced by an undeniable sadness. âDick, Iâve had time to think. I really thought you were different. I thought we had something special.â
âWe do,â he interjected, desperation creeping into his voice. âI just messed up. I let my past cloud what was right in front of me, and I canât stop regretting it.â
âRegret doesnât change the past, Dick,â you replied quietly, crossing your arms defensively over your chest. âI canât be second best anymore. I deserve more than that.â
He took a deep breath, fear clenching at his heart. âYou arenât second best to anyone. You mean everything to me. I just⌠I need time to figure this out.â
âTime?â The hurt in your voice was palpable, and it cut him deeper than he cared to admit. âHow long will that take? Because I canât keep waiting around while you sort out your feelings for someone else.â
Dick's heart raced. âI donât want to lose you, but I understand if you need space. Just know that Iâm willing to fight for us.â
Your face softened again, but the resolve remained in your stance. âFighting is one thing, Dick. But itâs not just about you wanting me back. I need to know you truly mean it.â
He nodded, taking a risk by reaching out to grasp your hand gently. âI promise Iâll show you. Iâll prove to you that what we had was real. Just give me a chance.â
You hesitated, your eyes searching his face as if trying to decipher his intent. âOne chance?â
âYes. One chance,â he affirmed fervently, squeezing your hand softly. âLetâs start over. No past, just us.â
Your breath hitched in your throat, and in that moment, he saw a glint of hope sparking in your eyes. But as quickly as it came, it retreated again, leaving uncertainty swirling in the air.
âIâll think about it, Dick,â you finally said, withdrawing your hand but still locking eyes with him. âBut I canât promise anything.â
That was fair, he thought, watching you take a step back, creating distance again. âJust⌠let me know, okay? Iâm here whenever youâre ready.â
You nodded, a small flicker of a smile gracing your lips for just a second. âI will. Take care of yourself, Dick.â
And just like that, with another brief glance, you turned and walked away, leaving Dick standing under the glow of streetlights, held captive by the sweet ache of nostalgia and the flickering hope for a second chance.
He stood there, watching you disappear into the gallery, determination surging through him. You deserved better than his past mistakes, and he was determined to show you just how much you truly meant to him.
It wouldnât be easy, but for the first time in weeks, he felt a sense of purpose rising inside himâa reason to fight for something worth keeping.
As he walked away from him standing under the street lights of the gallery, the weight of his past began to lift, hope threading its way through the shadows. He could win you back; he just had to believe it was possible.

I have been madly inspired by this post, but I don't have time to write it. Instead, you get a prompt!
Tim and Danny are twins, just as in the inspo prompt. Except, instead of being from the DC Universe, they're both from the Danny Phantom Universe.
The timelines both continue as normal up until just after Dick becomes Robin (DC) and the Portal Accident (DP).
Instead of Sam and Tucker (or maybe you want them there? Idk. In my head, they aren't here) who're with Danny when the portal opens, it's Tim. They'd decided to try and help their parents as best they could (because this is a family of geniuses, guys!). Tim was working outside in the lab while Danny went in to see if anything's wrong in there, the accident happens as canon.
Now that the portal's open, Danny goes out as Phantom while Tim works as his support. (Neither tell Jazz or anyone because they're both allergic to help) Some way or another, Tim gets lost in the Ghost Zone and ends up in the DC Universe, wandering the streets of Gotham.
Jack and Janet Drake had decided to follow Brucie Wayne's lead and adopt a not well-to-do kid. They stumble upon Tim and basically kidnap him. He goes along with it because he doesn't know how long he'll be stuck here and he needs to blend in.
We all know the jokes of Tim being forever 17? Well, being exposed to the portal and the GZ as intensely as he was slows down his aging (unlike Danny whose aging completely stops) Tim doesn't leave Drake Manor much, nor is anyone much around to notice anything, so it's not like it matters. He doesn't actually notice at first!
Then, Tim sees Batman and Robin. At first, it was just glimpses of them, but then he got obsessed. He bought a camera using the Drakes money and set about his quest. He follows the vigilantes, learns from them from a distance, because this is what his brother does! This is what he was helping his brother do!
Eventually, Robin quits, leaving Batman and Batgirl. Dick Grayson leaves Gotham just after that. Then, Bruce Wayne adopts Jason Todd and Robin is back on the scene. Tim pieces it together pretty quick after that
Meanwhile, Danny's a mess. His twin brother is missing somewhere in the Realms, probably scared out of his mind and he can't find anyone who'll help him look! On top of that, Vlad's getting on his nerves more than usual, pushing further and further past the line he'd drawn in the sand.
Then, the Nasty Burger explodes. No one dies, thank God, but Jazz, Sam, Tucker, and his parents are all in the hospital.
Scared out of his damn mind that he'll become Dan, he retreats to the Realms. He flies and flies, grief skewing both his sense of direction and his will to care, and he ends up somewhere dark. It feels different from the rest of the Realms he's explored. Everywhere else, he could feel Clockwork and the Observants Watching, but not here.
Danny, needing to rest and calm himself down, lands in Gotham. Right in the middle of a Scarecrow attack. He's doused with Fear Gas.
Batman and Nightwing have been fighting again, and the new guy, Red Hood, isn't helping matters. Robin, in an effort to just get away for a bit, goes off on his own during patrol. That's when Scarecrow attacks.
Danny, more human than ghost at the moment, sees flames engulfing the building next to him, his friends and family all in there. And right in the middle of everything is his twin brother. He tries to get to them, to Tim, but someone's holding him back.
Tim sees his brother. He'd run to where Scarecrow just left, letting Batman and Nightwing handle Rogue, to check on any civilians that might've gotten caught, and he only sees one. At first he thought that he'd inhaled some of the Fear Gas, but he can think clearly and there aren't any other symptoms.
"Danny?" Tim asks, voice quiet, not daring to hope this is real. He'd almost given hope about ever getting home. He doesn't get an answer, but he can see the symptoms of Fear Gas settling over Danny, so he restrains him before he can hurt himself.
Danny passes out as soon as Tim gets him the antidote, and now Tim is left to explain why he's brought a civilian back to Drake Manor and why the civilian looks like him
