Cillian Murphy (Actor)... Pet Peeves Reading (sort of)

Could be a pretty impatient (go go go) type of man so he doesn't like when ppl are in his way, in his walking path. But also career wise (in his way) or in anything else he's set his mind to do. He likely tunnel visions when he's focusing on a task or work so if you were to get in his way during that time he might literally nudge you out the way or speak bluntly/aggressively to you until you get lost

He hates ppl that believe the world revolves around them (I heard "snarky bitches"). I definitely feel this energy is directed at prissy ass celebrities that walk around like their blood doesn't run red like everyone else (celebs that have a superiority complex and view themself higher than regular ppl. I also lowkey think he doesn't like to hang around celebs outside of work/events. He could surround himself with a lot of normal ppl, maybe even the type to disguise himself and go to regular clubs/bars just to converse with non celebs

I don't know what's going on but this guy's energy is strange (not in a good or bad way). It's just that his energy seems to want me to ask him about his personality or just ask things that go a little deeper about him (its like when you meet a talkative stranger that's lonely and as soon as you strike up conversation with them they won't quit talking). So guy's, I'm going to follow his lead and switch to a personality reading on him since he seems to want that.

He's quite childlike and innocent, very careless and a freedom seeker so he can find himself in trouble and can't get himself out of it (calling his family, manager etc. .. to help him out of his mess even when he's been warned beforehand not to do certain things). He can be a bit too trusting of ppl and doesn't have enough boundaries set against ppl who wish him no good. He's like a guy that befriends a homeless person (not exactly a bad thing) but if that person had bad intentions, he would never notice it or put two and two together to why money in his wallet keeps going missing and other things of that sort

He's a very creative man with a lot of self confidence in his skills, looks and abilities. He knows very well what the public wants from him and he's self assured that he can constantly meet their expectations (even exceed it). I've never watched the show Peaky Blinders but I think the character he played has a similar personality to him and I mean that for his good + bad qualities. Because I'm also seeing a temper that rolls deep, like a destructive temper in which he doesn't care what he says or what he does. He just wants to get back at whoever pissed him off. He could have a problem letting things go especially slights against him

He's a very romantic and loving man that knows how to charm and bring that ultra passion in romantic relationships but he could also use his charms on everyone (likely unintentionally since his Venus in Taurus just makes him a naturally flirtatious man) but he could make a lot of ppl want him, damn near do anything to be with him

I do see he's quite bossy and pushy, doesn't really take no for an answer (a card came out saying "Shut your mouth and listen"). I think when he commands ppl, they tend to listen not just because of who he his but his voice may carry power (especially when he's bossing ppl around)

15 Day BL Challenge- Day 5

Biggest Flop- I Actually Can't Decide

In my definition of flop, it means that the show did not match, let alone exceed, the expectations I had set for it by a huge margin.

When it comes to what I watch, maybe its because I am pretty good at filtering out things that don't match my vibe or maybe I just haven't been here for all that long- but I haven't yet watched a show that hasn't given me what I expected from it by that much.

That being said, there have been shows that are so hyped by everyone, and i found myself never liking them as much as them.

That being said, i am not hating on these shows, and may change my opinion if feel like rewatching

Boss and A Babe: I love Force and Book as actors, and i do think they nailed their roles but the story was sooo weakly built and didn't know how to deal with the themes it touched on at all. The ASMR thing Cher did, which was the premise of this show in the first place wasn't touched beyond bringing them together in the beginning. Tyme's betrayal and the whole stealing of ideas wasn't given half the attention it should've gotten. The discussion of themes about depression, sexual abuse, and homophobia were touched upon in the most speed run way of things, giving nothing enough importance to actually become centric to the story. The couple themselves were okay, and the chemistry was there only because Force and Book had it, but honestly they became borderline weird. I didn't find this series worth remembering, but when i started it, i didn't think i would either.

Love In The Air (but only the PhayuRain episodes): Look. Before anybody comes for me, hear me out. These two have great irl chemistry, and im excited for Boy Next World... but Phayu and Rain are ragingggg red flags and its to the point where I do not care that they can cancel each other out. I just don't. You don't fuck with your crushes car just so they'll ask you for help when they get stuck in the rain. You don't play with consent like that unless you've both pre-agreed to it. Please do not pull the stunts these two decided were okay without a word with each other. Even if you're both into it. CONSENT MATTERS AND DO NOT DAMAGE OTHER PEOPLE'S POSSESSIONS JUST TO HAVE THEM PAY ATTENTION TO YOU. COMMUNICATION EXISTS FOR BOTH OF THOSE.

That being said, Prapai and Sky managed to make it through my criteria and I love them dearly. Just can't ever say the same for Phayu and Rain.

2gether (but not Still 2gether): I can hear my girlfriend fuming as I type this because this is one of her all time favourite shows. And I can agree with what she says, its about the nostalgia of early BL days and the sorta funny jokes that make you roll your eyes but still laugh. That being said, the first season is riddled with the fact that the premise makes zero sense, the bromantic chemistry is questionable at best and the raging question that how the fuck is Tine gonna become a lawyer when he can't even defend himself from a dude hitting on him??

This show definitely does not live up to the name it carries being the most popular Thai BL, but it is not the worst. It is what it is according to the time it was made in, and the second season is actually cute. And of it gave me Drake and Frank, with whom I'm obsessed despite the tragedy.

Middleman's Love: Respectfully- GET A FUCKING GRIP OVER REALITY AND A CONTROL OVER YOUR VOLUME. That's all I have to say here.

I’m sorry to bother you with a question like this, but may I ask how you went about putting this bracket together? I’m trying to figure out my own addition to this showdown bandwagon and am also working with a large roster of characters. Jumping in blind would be a disaster, so I thought it best to seek guidance from someone who’s got a solid approach going.

I can definitely summarize what I did! Though without knowing what you're working with, I'm not sure how much this will map onto anything else!

1) Organizing Matches by the Numbers

So I split up the 1000+ Pokemon into more manageable groups by doing them by Generation, which technically means that I'm just running 9 100+ competitor brackets.

Then, for each generation, I targeted ~high 20s, low 30s for my number of matches with 3-5 Pokemon in each match. I wouldn't exceed 5 in a match, and lower is ideal, when you're trying to figure out how this works for your numbers.

Now, I targeted that number of matches because I wanted to use the next round to force-fit it into better tournament numbers— A nice proper 1v1 tournament has power of 2 competitors, so 2, 4, 8, 16, etc... It simplifies the math and makes it easier, and that's something that I chose for my tournament to avoid Pokemon "skipping" rounds, but you don't have to follow that.

So I will be targeting 8 Pokemon going to round 3 out of round 2, so if we take the number of round 1 winners from Gen 1 for example, there are 31 of them. 31/8=3.875 which means 7 4-Pokemoj matches and 1 3-Pokemon match. Perfect. Run those matches, get your 8 winners, pit your 8 winners against each other in the typical 1v1 tournament style (4 matches), get your 4 winners, etc.

2) Organizing Competitors into Matches

This part is super messy and the actual proper way to do seeding is probably via pre-tournament polling and also by having 1v1 matches, so what I did was the nearest reasonable approximation, given time and effort requirements.

The process: Put all your competitors in a spreadsheet column. Go through the list and bold all the fan favorites, all of the ones you expect to win, etc. Shuffle the column. If the top n(*) competitors look okay for a matchup (ideally, only one bolded name), mark it as (probably) acceptable (I changed the cell colors), and move to the next match. If not, shuffle again. (You'll probably have to do this a lot. However, if just a few of of them are messing up the match, you can move them to the bottom of the match stack and just shuffle them into the remaining competitors.) By the time you get to the bottom, you will very likely have to move things around or break up previously acceptable matches to get the last ones fitting.

(*) n is the target number of competitors in a match.

Note I chose this method specifically because I wanted my own biases to impact the match sorting as little as possible. It's worked out most of the time, sometimes there were fan favorites I completely didn't anticipate. Again, not a perfect system, but it prevents stuff like having Bulbasaur and Eevee in the same round 1 match.

(And sometimes you can't avoid having more than one fan favorite in the same match. In those cases, you want to try your best to pair most-fan-favorites with considerably less fan favorites, but this is also where smaller match sizes do come in handy. 1 5-competitor match allows for 1 fan favorite in 5 competitors, while 2 3-competitor matches allow for 2 fan favorites in 6 competitors... But again it's messy and you can't anticipate everything and sometimes there are a lot of fan favorites.)

(One more thing, Google Sheets does let you randomize a selected range if you right click on it, which can save you time running back and forth between random.org.)

3) Rematches

Personally I think if you want good data in a 3+ competitor winner-take-all kind of situation, you have to run rematches. Say 40% of people like competitor A, 30% of people like competitor B, and the remaining 30% are spread out among competitors C, D, and E. competitor A would win without rematches, but it could very much be the case that of the latter 30% of voters, if their picks were eliminated, only 5% would vote for competitor A, and the remaining 25% would vote for competitor B. That would leave us with 45/55 in B's favor.

Anyway, you can do whatever suits you because running rematches is a little tricky and it requires keeping track of all these extra scattered little polls, but the rules I have for rematches are as follows:

If the winner wins by 50% or more, no rematch.

If the winner is in the lead by 20%, no rematch.

If there are two leading competitor, single rematch.

If there's one leading competitor and two close runner ups, double rematch.

If it looks like it could be a double rematch, but the 2nd place competitor is closer to the first place competitor, it should be a single rematch (and vice versa).

If it looks like it could be a double rematch, the 3rd + 4th + etc place competitors results must be greater than or equal to the 1st place competitor for a double rematch to be held.

4) Scheduling

This one is rather unique to my situation, so I can't really offer too much advice here. Really depending on your voter-base and your access to them, you need to determine if you want to do this long term (slowly releasing the polls) or short term (release them more or less all at once) and if you want to do 1 week polls (requires some extra coordination, especially so that you don't have 1 week gaps between poll drops as you wait for previous round's data to come in) or 1 day polls (easier, but requires your voter base to be more readily available to you).

My very long term approach is based mostly on the fact that the Pokemon community here is very very large and scattered and, starting off, I effectively had 0 way to spread news about the tournament to anyone other than via Blaze. I think if you search scheduling on this blog, you can find the posts that were made when I decided to change the poll schedule, and I did so fairly publicly, so it should be pretty easy to see the structure of this tournament from that.

5) Tournament Summaries/Brackets

Wasn't sure what to call this one but it's basically a, oh no this thing is huge and constantly shifting but people want to kind of get an idea of where we've been and what's coming next, but because it's not a typical 1v1 tournament and also there are hundreds of these guys, I have no idea how to do that.

Which doesn't fit so well in a title lol.

Anyway there are probably a lot better ways of doing this than I did, but I basically just set up a free Neocities site to help keep track of anything. It took me a very long evening to do it, especially since my web dev is super rusty, but it's working out great because it also helps me keep track of everything, because the way I had it set up in my spreadsheet was not super intuitive or easy to see. I doubt anyone wants it, but I am totally willing to share the code behind the site if you all don't know how to get it from just inspecting the page and all. It's pretty clunky though so I'm not advertising it lol.

If I was really smart I'd have all the data in a JSON file and have a JS script just make all the cards that I have in there for me instead of using a separate C++ script (yes, sorry, I use C++ for things like this but that's because I know it better than like Python which would actually probably be the better choice) to generate the cards in HTML which I then paste into the HTML file, but also that would take a lot of time to figure out how to do, and time is not on my side. So.

Anyway. That's most of what I've got organization-wise. I typed this all up on my phone away from my computer so hopefully it's not too messy. I'm not sure if I've provided the info you're looking for or if I've included too much of the information you're not looking for, but I've rarely been accused of not being thorough at least 😭

There was just so much that appealed to him even when you were nervous about expressing yourself, his dedication to getting you to open up to him is admirable. He would go out of his way to move outside of his own comfort zone so he could show you that nothing bad could come of it. He wanted you to know that you had a partner in crime, someone who would support you to the ends of the earth regardless of whether you were dating or not. Luckily for him you acknowledged his efforts and slowly inched closer to expressing your true feelings, even if you didn’t do it in a “normal” or “conventional” way Yeosang was sure that he wouldn’t be letting you go anytime soon.

Now, Yeosang comes across as a very private person in terms of his emotions, he has them but he is quite selective about who gets to see his more intimate or vulnerable side. But in the time, he has known you Yeosang has become as clingy and lovesick as you, after some time of being single he had come to underestimate just how much he loved love, he was begging for someone to fall in love with him so he had an excuse to show them just how fluffy and gentle he could be.

 Yeosang can’t help but be at least somewhat sentimental when it comes to you, your value exceeds that of the most expensive jewel. Mostly because in loving you he has become a truer version of himself, in learning how to expand his horizons and venture out into the world he has managed to find an ounce of self-love that he then shares with you. You made him feel on top of the world by cherishing him for who he was. That being said both of you work so well together in the way that you both come together when you want to express yourselves or appear more confident. You have each other’s backs and even if you’re both so quiet you both find a way to really grow into a brighter more exciting version of yourselves.

It has to be said, even if Yeosang wasn’t ever explicit on what he wanted in a partner there is something about your artistic side that would have him in awe. Yeosang is very perceptive and finds himself searching for a deeper meaning in your writing, hell, if you really pay attention to him, you’ll notice how he stares at you deep in thought when you show him your costume designs. He is contemplating your entirety; he loves that he gets to see everything that you are through your art. Also, I just have to mention it now, he may draw lines between him and the other guys but if you wanted to dress him up in any costumes, he would lose all shame and parade around as your living mannequin.  Your relationship may seem straightforward and, in some ways, it is, but the best love stories are like that. The ones where you don’t ask yourself who, what, when, where and why, you just fall into the feeling of true love, your hand in his.

It is so hard to not become a cliché and give into your needs, but damn it I just have to ship you with Yeonjun. Besides the fact that you would honestly be the cutest pairing known to man, I am totally convinced that Yeonjun needs a bit of you in his life. Based on your description one would expect you to be the one falling hard and losing all their inhibitions, but Choi the forever-defying-stereotypes Yeonjun would fall victim to such a passionate crush. For someone who is normally quite vocal about how cool and handsome he is, he worries a lot leading up to his confession.

It would actually scare him how willing he was to fall in love with you but he went with it, and of course you couldn’t reject him. It was unlike him to smile so nervously and stutter during a confession but he was the happiest guy in the world when you agreed to go on at least a half date with him. From that day forward Yeonjun felt partially obliged to play the part of the loving, handsome boyfriend from your dreams and he definitely succeeded. It is obvious to those around him that Yeonjun found his other half in you, even when he isn’t pulling you up to dance with him, showing off how cool it is that he even has a girlfriend, which is rare.

There is literally no other way to describe your relationship with Yeonjun other than “a modern love story.” It’s literally the type of relationship that gives the energy of Rush featuring Hyunjin and PinkPantheress. There really isn’t another good analogy I can give you, both of you manage to have a relationship that is so passionate, romantic and heated. Yeonjun is the outgoing boy in love with the lights and the fast life, but you slowed him down enough for him to fall in love.

No matter how excitable Yeonjun is he is always prepared to have a grounded relationship, and maybe he is thinking too far ahead but he is sure that he would be the one to have the privilege of marrying you. And though he seems aloof at times he takes everything so serious if it involves you, he will protect you, kiss you enough and have the deepest most meaningful conversations to ever exist. He is so intimate and loving I can’t state this enough. Another reason why this is the best pairing ever is the fact that you are both so artistic and curious but in different ways. 2023 Promoter Handbook - Guidelines, Expectations, and FAQ

Welcome to the Steez Promo Street Team. If you are reading this, it means you have been selected to join our elite team of promoters. Below are a few rules, expectations, and guidelines that will point you in the right direction to become an active and respected member of the team. This position is not a paid position and is voluntary. However, we provide active promoters with a spot on our guest list for shows that they promote for, as well as opportunities to bring friends for free. This includes our festivals Moonrise, Reggae Rise Up, and several Hampton Coliseum events. Read everything fully and carefully and comment “Read & Understood” when finished. Online Daily Assignments: 

Daily assignments will be posted in the Facebook group. You may have 2 assignments in one day. Many assignments will have multiple steps. Take screenshots of each portion to ensure you get full credit for the work you are doing. Screenshots of completed assignments will then be posted in the comments of the assignment & in your photo album. Photo albums (more on this later) with proof of promo will also be required for a guest list consideration.You will be required to post on multiple platforms, ranging from Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and similar. When possible, you should always be tagging Steez Promo in your posts. If you repeatedly forget to tag Steez in your posts, you may not receive full credit for the assignment. You will be asked to make your posts engaging (ex. pairing videos with a fun question, funny GIFS, hype text or similar). All directions must be read before you complete each assignment. Message the group chat or a manager with questions if you are unsure how to complete a portion. You are not responsible for any assignments before you joined the team. You will be tagged in your first assignment the day after you finish reading the handbook. Missing Assignments:We all have things that happen in our lives that might take priority, we certainly understand that. This is what you should do if you miss an assignment and need to play “catch up”.

If you have missed an assignment that is time sensitive, do not do it a few days later. (Example: if we assign a “Tomorrow” image don’t post it the next day on the day of the show.)

If you have missed an assignment that is not time sensitive, please complete each step of the assignment as you are able. Mandatory assignments should always take priority over other assignments missed. Please be mindful of not being spammy (more on this later)

What we are looking for is overall consistency with posts. If you miss a day or two in the week, that’s not going to disqualify you from guest list. However if you miss a full week, it will be noted and counted against you.Keeping open communication is very important. If you will be out of town for a period of time (ex. a music festival, a vacation) and will not be able to complete assignments, let one of the managers know. You will be excused from assignments assigned during that time. Do not be spammy with missed assignments. People will lose interest in your content. What does that mean?

Facebook:

Feed: Do not post multiple assignments directly to your feed within a short time frame (example posting 2 assignments in 15 minutes). Instead, spread everything out by a few hours. Do not exceed 4 posts to your feed in one day. I would rather you completely skip an assignment than be spammy. Why? Facebook’s algorithms will ding you as spam, share your post to others less, and you’ll piss off your friends/customers.

Story/Groups: You can post multiple assignments to your story in a short time frame. However, we recommend breaking up your posts to keep people engaged. Think of how you watch peoples stories. If someone is constantly posting flyer ads, over and over again, are you likely to keep watching?

If you have a lot of assignments to post on Facebook and are worried, consider reaching out to Lauryn! Instead of putting it on your feed, we recommend posting to other local EDM groups/event pages on facebook and promoting our events on there.

Instagram:

Feed: Do not post multiple assignments directly to your feed within a short time frame (example posting 2 assignments in 15 minutes). Instead, spread everything out by at least 4 hours. Do not exceed 2 posts to your feed in one day.

Story: You can post multiple assignments to your story in a short time frame. However, we highly recommend you break up posts by adding memes, videos, or other photos. This helps keep people watching.

Comments: You can do this at any time and does not necessarily need to be spaced out.

Finding Missed Assignments: 

It is your responsibility to keep up with work. Lauryn and Monique will not answer to requests of “what assignments have I missed?” We cannot keep track of every promoters work every day. Every Sunday night Monique will post a list of every assignment that was posted from the week prior. From this point, you will have 24 hours to complete any missing assignments. As stated above, make sure not to be spammy. If you have missed multiple posts, instead of blasting your own social media accounts, share some of our promo to local EDM/rave groups instead. That way, you are still getting the word out!Deleting Assignments:Promoters are required to leave their posts up on their socials. If you are caught deleting your assignments after posting screenshots, you will be removed from the team. You may delete any assignments that are time sensitive the day after. You may delete assignments that are a year old (ex. if you see it on your Timehop and no longer want it to appear). Mandatory Assignments:Certain assignments will be labeled mandatory and are required to be completed for guest list.

Show Announcements: to be done in 24 hours.

Invites: Every promoter is required to send out the maximum amount of invites possible, to the Facebook event of a show, within one week of being assigned. (Minimum invites accepted = (100 minimum)100) If you do not have enough people to invite, we suggest marketing yourself and building up your friends list over your time. As promoters, we are here to build a community. We suggest joining local EDM groups and making new connections at shows to help with this. Be reasonable with this. You can leave out your grandma that lives in Idaho, but don’t be afraid to invite old high school friends, people who live in the area, etc. Invite people who are interested in going-out.Completing your invites on a desktop are much easier than attempting to do it on your phone. The Facebook app glitches out sometimes.Take one screenshot of your invites. YOU MUST LABEL THEM CORRECTLY, in order for this to count. Write the number of invites you sent and the show name on it. I like to do this using snapchat. (Example: Riot Ten - 250 invites)

Tickets On-Sale: to be done in 24 hours.

Show Day Posts: On show days, there will be two assignments. First, a “tonight” assignment to be completed in the morning. Secondly, promoters will either check-in to the event as soon as they arrive or will share out the event page at 5pm.

Extra Assignments:In order to get +1s and +2s for shows, you will be required to do more than the daily assignments and afterflyers. This will include completing multiple RAIDS, posting your own images on socials, sending DMs to friends, and other forms of extra promo. Make sure you are taking the appropriate raid photos and screenshots, to upload to your albums.

Photo Album: Upon joining the team you are to create an album within the group. (TO EMPHASIZE - there is an option to make an album IN the group page, do not make a public album on your own Facebook page). To do this, go to the Albums tab and choose create new album. This album is to be filled with all completed assignments and raid photos. Any additional posts you complete should be included as well. These albums will be required when requesting a guest list. Albums will need to be changed with each season. Winter (Jan 1), Spring (April 1), Summer (July 1) and Fall (October 1). You will be reminded when it is time to start a new album.New members are to create an album as soon as they join, regardless of when. Your album should be titled with “Your Name, The Season, The Year, Promo” For example: Megan Bailey Fall 2018 Promo. If you are having trouble with creating an album, reach out to Lauryn or Monique.

Raids: A raid is when you go out in the community and promote using posters and flyers. You must take a picture of the place of business where you left the promo and a picture of the promo in the business. You must then post the pictures in your album. The photos will be used as proof of completing a raid. Ultimately, it is the promoters responsibility to arrange getting promo for themselves. Please make sure you arrange that with Lauryn or Monique. If you need more clarification on anything in this section, please reach out to Lauryn or Monique. 

Please document the date, location, and names of people who attended a raid with you. Post this info on the raid facebook post for that week. This is important for us to keep track of what areas have been covered. 

If you are doing a solo raid, photos are absolutely required to verify your work. When raiding, please take a picture of the promo & the outside of the business you left it at. Please notify the team so we do not hit the same area twice.

You should be aiming to complete at least 2 raids a month for guest list. If you are wanting a +1 or a +2, you should be completing more than 2 raids a month.

General Rules: 

Promotional material can be picked up from any of the leaders, but please be respectful of their time. Materials can be picked up at shows, at raids if someone brings extra and can share, or at a time that works for both parties. Ultimately, it is the promoters responsibility to arrange getting promo for themselves. Please plan accordingly, so you know you will be able to complete raids as needed.

Please work with others you plan to raid with to make sure promo has been picked up ahead of time. Communicate with each other so you know who is bringing the raid materials that will be needed.

It is your responsibility to raid. Management has heard every excuse in the book, and will not accept those who do not do their job or communicate plans effectively. Without raids completed, you may not get granted Guest List.

Types of Raids: 

Retail Raids - These can be done at malls, shopping centers, clothing stores, restaurants, bookstores, bars, smoke shops, music stores, college campuses, etc. You must ask permission from the business before leaving any materials. If you give a poster to a store that does not automatically hang it up, take a photo of the promo AND of the store to “document” that you left one there. Please note which stores you hit, so we can keep a record of who is willing to let us put our material there, and so that we don’t go there too often and burn that bridge. I suggest creating a list using your notes app.

Visiting 10 stores will equal one raid (For example, you can go to Norfolk and hit 10 stores at the outlets)

You are not allowed to leave flyers in places that will get thrown away (ex. tables in malls, places you did not ask permission, or stores that do not hit our target audience; like a jewelry store.)

Leave a stack of flyers (at least 10 or more)

Best stores to hit: tattoo shops, surf shops, smoke shops, bars, hotels, music stores

Fun fact: all Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, and Tropical Smoothie’s have community boards - you must still ask the business for permission to post our promo on these boards

Oceanfront boardwalk or College Campus Raids - Boardwalk raids or campus raids can be done by anyone on the team. Every college campus has different requirements so it’s best to check before leaving any posters and flyers in communal areas.

Examples of colleges: TCC Norfolk, ODU, TCC Virginia Beach, TCC Chesapeake

Putting up 20 posters will equal one raid. (For boardwalk raids, posters must be hung up on every OTHER pole)

Handing out flyers for 45 minutes during high traffic times equals one afterflyer.

Places to avoid – Private property, parking garages, sides of buildings, etc. are all off limits.

Other places to avoid include: Macarthur Mall

You are not allowed to put promo on poles unless it’s on the boardwalk at the Oceanfront

After Flyering: 

After flyering consists of handing out flyers after a show. During this time, it’s important to stay focused on making connections. While it may be easy to get distracted by friends, be mindful of what the purpose of the after flyering is. It is about getting to know the members of the community, and networking yourself. After flyering starts 30 minutes before the show is over to reach as many people as possible. **FROM NOW ON**: After flyering is to be completed OUTSIDE of Peabodys, unless we’re experiencing bad weather.

Regular Steez Shows - 4 people after flyering MAX

Bassed Thursday Shows - 1 person after flyering MAX

*The number of people permitted to after flyer may vary depending on the show*To sign up, comment on the raid schedule in the facebook group (created every Monday). If more people sign up than our max amount permitted then we will spin a name wheel, and promoters will be selected at random to after flyer.If you are too intoxicated, you will not be allowed to after flyer.

Non-Steez Shows: If you are attending another show in the area you can also after flyer for that event. Pictures of this is required. Please have a friend take 3 pictures of you handing out flyers to people. Proof is important! Depending on the venue, the promoter etc., some of these shows will not allow after flyers so please check with Lauryn first.

Local Events/Bars: Flyers can be handed out at local events other than concerts if they fit the demographic of people we are looking for.

(Examples) - Oceanfront bar crawls, local art events, large events at the oceanfront

*Raids and after flyers will count towards guest list requests for up to one month after the raid is completed. Once the raid is over a month past you may not include it on your Guest List request Anymore. (Example: if the raid is completed on 6/7, it is good to be counted towards your GL requests until 7/7.) if you need more clarification on this, please reach out to Lauryn or Monique.

Enable notifications for when Steez posts a photo. Promoters should automatically be “liking” any post uploaded to the Steez Instagram.

Guest List Procedure for 757 Shows:

Within the Facebook group your Market Manager will make a post asking for guest list requests typically the morning of a show. You will post your full name, all raids participated in, any additional guest slots you are applying for, any additional jobs (ex. ticket sellers, extra promo) and your most recent album. 

If GL is approved: At Peabody’s, you will show your ID and tell the person at the front your name and that you are on the Steez Promo guest list.  At the Norva, you will go to the Box Office, show your ID and say your name and that you are on the Steez guest list. You will be handed “comp” tickets that you then give the doorman to get into the show.  You will not get a hard-copy ticket at either venue.You can immediately start applying for GL for shows once you join the team. No show is “too soon”. You are allowed to ask for a guest list spot for yourself as well as a plus one (or more) if you feel you are putting forth the required amount of effort. Your market manager has the right to deny any request they feel is not deserved. 

Guest list requests are honored based on:

Total amount of consistency and effort.

Raid frequency, online activity & assignment completion.

Amount of content in your album.

All Steez Promo shows must get equal amount of attention, not just the shows you would like to go to.

Those completing raids, actively promoting online as well as keeping up with online assignments have higher priority versus those who do not.

It is the promoters responsibility to place completed assignments, completed invites, raid photos, and after flyer photos in their album for credit to be given.

Guest list requirements: 

GL is granted based off consistency and effort. If you're only doing after flyers and not putting in time to do any street promo / raids , you may not be granted GL for certain events

Personal GL: 90% mandatory assignments + 2 afterflyers/raids

Personal +1: 90% mandatory assignments + 3 afterflyers/raids completed

Personal +2: 100% mandatory assignments + 4 afterflyers/raids completed(above and beyond effort)

These guidelines are subject to change, especially for larger shows, but with plenty of warning beforehand. Please refer to your Lauryn for clarification about what exactly is needed for each show.Automatic Disqualifications: You will automatically be disqualified for guest list if you do not complete invites, announcements, or 90% of assignments labeled “mandatory” Or have any raids.

Other important notes:

Verify with Lauryn 1 week prior to show if you are attempting to get a +2.

Many of our shows are close together, so you can “reuse” the same raids. HOWEVER, we need consistency. Every raid/afterflyer 1 month back will count.

DM Lauryn early if you want clarification so you aren’t blindsided.

Contests:

As a promoter, you cannot win any Steez promo contests. Do not enter any “hive” contests (our market or not) and do not enter any Instagram contests (always avoid using the #steezfam hashtag).

Hard Copy Tickets:

Responsible and reliable promoters are given the opportunity to sell tickets for our shows. Even if you do not plan to sell hard copy tickets, you still are required to help those that are. If contacted by friends about how to get a hard copy ticket, please connect them with a promoter that has them.

$3 commission for each ticket sold. A minimum of 10 tickets must be sold to receive any commission.

If you are interested in being a ticket seller reach out to a manager. You must be on the team for at least 3 months to be considered.

Tickets for Other Markets: 

As a promoter, you will get contacted about all Steez shows regardless of which market they are in. Create a group chat or message with the person looking for the ticket, and the appropriate market manager. You must ensure the show is not already sold out before contacting a market manager. Please reach out to Lauryn so she can connect you with the right person.

Guest List for Steez Shows in Other Markets:

Promoters are eligible to earn guest list for shows in other markets. Promoters that work in that market will be given first priority. You will not be able to get a GL spot if the show is sold out, and you will not be able to get a +1. Alert Lauryn that you are trying to earn a spot. 

You will be required to 

Create 25 of your own posts about the show on whichever platforms you choose.

Post in the event page

Complete invites to the show

Create a separate album in the group labeled “Name, Artist, Venue, Date of Show” (Example: Megan Bailey, Illenium at Echostage, February 3)

Upload your 26 photos to the album, and turn the album into Lauryn 2 days before the show. 

She will speak with the appropriate Market Manager to secure your spot if able. Guest List is never a guarantee, if it is a show or festival you really want to go to, we recommend buying a ticket. If the show sells out or your GL requested is not granted, you could still enjoy the show with the ticket you purchased. 

Representing Steez: 

Steez Promo is one of the largest EDM promotion companies in the country. It is a privilege to be part of such an amazing team and your responsibility to treat it as such. You are not only representing yourself, but Steez Promo as well, both on and offline.

At Shows: We want everyone to enjoy doing what we love here most and that’s dancing to music with friends and having fun in a safe and positive environment. This means leaving any personal drama at the door and being courteous with all show attendees and fellow promoters.  If you get into fights or cause issues with Peabodys security or staff or any fellow promoters, you may be removed from the team without a warning.

Online: We do not support drama on social media. This means respecting the community by not posting personal issues with other promoters, promotion companies, or show attendees. Everything you post on social media is a reflection of Steez Promo.

Not following these rules can be cause for dismissal.

Damn it. 

It's all Y/N can think about while watching the light of the torch that illuminates the corridor outside her cell, which passes thinly under the door and through the small barred window they use to pass her food. Her cell is small and dark, the smell of mold invades her thoughts and doesn't allow her to think of a plan to escape. All her mind keeps wondering is how an assassin like her, with thousands of successful kills had managed to fall into a stupid trap set by an overgrown bat who was in charge of the Night Court troops. All of those kills have given her the reputation as Prythian's deadliest assassin and the nickname "the angel's claw", as she kills all of her victims with a specific knife that resembles a claw. A legend tells that it is a real claw, and that it was of the last dragon existing in the world, that she had killed at an early age; the nickname "angel", instead, comes from her innocent and pure face like that of an angel, that however hides a black soul, stained with blood, with more secrets than stars in a starry night. 

Suddenly the light on the floor is interrupted by two people, who open the cell and enter. Y/N doesn't recognize them at first, then he realizes who the General and Commander of the Night Court's armies and the Spymaster Shadowsinger are. The assassin realizes that they're going to have fun, smiles, and gets ready to play. 

Y/N: "What a pleasure to see you both. At least I no longer have to see only one dickhead but two." 

Cassian: "Watch your mouth, I remind you that it's also up to us if you live or die, so you better behave." 

Y/N: "I'm not a two year old General, I can take care of myself and I'd rather die than have to deal with you for five minutes." 

The shadowsinger laughs at the scene in front of him and shakes his head as he pulls out the famous knife, the Truth-Teller, to try and put fear into the girl, even though he knows that it is a futile effort. 

Azriel: "You told me Cass was particular, but this one far exceeds my expectations. Also it's true, she's very attractive, now I can see how people were falling for her deceptions." 

Y/N: "So General do you think I'm attractive? So you flatter me." 

Cassian: "As attractive as a poisonous snake, like a nightmare."- the man replies bored, leaning against the door in a relaxed pose, though he is betrayed by his tense muscles and hands resting on his weapons, risky to carry in a cell with such a good assassin, but he knows that in case he wanted to kill them he would have done it right away. 

Y/N: "Well honey I may be a nightmare, but you can't help but admit that I look more like a daydream."- says the girl winking at Cassian, who moves from the door and angrily starts walking around the cell grumbling something about them wasting their time. (Sorry not sorry, but sho just heard Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and the phrase is stucked in my mind). 

Cass: "Okay enough talk, we have to go. Az put the cuffs on her." 

Y/N: "Wow guys, at least take me out to dinner first."

Azriel tries to suppress a laugh as he puts the handcuffs on the assassin, and then follows his brother up the stairs, dragging the girl behind him, to a slightly larger room where there is a table and chairs in the center. They are located underneath Rhysand's Nightmare Court residence. 

Rhysand: "Finally, I thought he had killed you. Too bad he didn't, I had so much hope."- says the High Lord sitting at the table, as the others take their seats, to receive a middle finger from his brothers. 

Y/N: "What work do I have to do?"- asks the girl looking into the eyes of the High Lord. 

Rhysand: "How do you know you have to do a job for me?"- asks the man intrigued by the question. 

Y/N: "Well it seems more than obvious after all, you sent your hound after me, and in case you were wondering I'm talking about Azriel, and then the other idiot came and captured me and now it's just the four of us in a room? I don't think you want to ask me to marry me." 

Rhysand: "I told you Az would be a great addition." 

Y/N: "Okay, I didn't get that one instead." - states the assassin confused. 

Rhysand: "Well my dear, you got that right, I want to offer you a job, but not just a murder, no I have bigger plans for you. My proposal is to become my assassin, part of my court, and in return you will have protection and a very good salary."- says the High Lord with obviousness, as he looks at the girl, who now does not have that sly smile she had before while talking, but a serious face while listening carefully to the words of the man in front of her. 

Y/N: "And how do you know that I will not betray you? That I won't accept another assignment and kill you and your entire family? How do you know I'll accept?" 

Rhysand: "Because I got inside your head and saw what you want most in life, and that's a home, friends, family. I'm not promising the last two, though I can see Azriel already likes you and believe me when I say that's a more than rare occurrence, but you can rest assured that you'll have a place to live, in Velaris." 

Y/N: "Velaris?" 

Rhysand: "My city. It's secret, no one knows where it is or how to get there, you'd be safe from all the people looking to kill you. Accept, and I'll put an end to all your troubles."- says the man with a light in his purple eyes that makes him look like a child at a playground. 

Y/N: "So when do we leave?"

So Y/N joins the Inner Circle. She soon becomes friends with Amren and Azriel, while with Cassian the situation doesn't go very well. Despite the fact that the assassin is proven, in many missions, to be loyal to the Court of Night and its High Lord, he still does not believe her, of course sometimes there are times when they get along and live together, but in general there is always a lot of tension between the two. Everything changes when during a mission she saves him. The General is shocked by what Y/N has done for him. 

They were on a mission in the Court of Autumn, they were camping in the woods, in a remote spot of that red and orange tinged forest, when the girl had seen a guard from the Court's army they were infiltrating appear. That guard had already thrown a knife at the unsuspecting General's wings, however. Quickly she steps in front of him, taking the blow instead, not before throwing a knife in turn at the guard, killing him instantly. 

Cassian is shocked by the girl's act of selflessness and bravery, but all the man can think about is the blood pouring from the girl's wound. He immediately sets to work trying to stem the wound. After several attempts he succeeds, the wound is not very deep, but it is very big.

 

Quickly the batboy makes sure to move their camp to a cave, putting the assassin in a safe place. Once he gets everything they have into that cramped space he stops to look at the girl lying on the ground asleep. 

He stops and stares at her, until he feels something snap in him. Bond. 

Immediately everything seems to fall into place and he finds himself looking at Y/N with even more adoration than before. He sits down next to her and runs a hand through her hair, removing it from her sweaty forehead. She jerks her eyes open, only to relax seeing that it's Cassian. 

Y/N: "I get that we're mates, but if you keep looking at me like that you're going to wear me out."- she says in a weak voice. 

Cassian: "How do you know we're mates? Since when have you known?" 

Y/N: "Since I saw that guard trying to hit you. It clicked at that exact moment and I felt the need to protect you." 

Cassian: "And now I'm torn between needing to punch you for the crap you did or kiss you for how beautiful you are." 

Y/N: "I vote for the latter, if you care to know." 

And so the two of them kiss and like magic all those months of hate disappear in a cloud of smoke, like a bad memory of a beautiful present and an even brighter future. Now off to bed boys, if your mom and dad find you still up they'll kill me and I won't be able to babysit you anymore. No this time the "Uncle Azzy" and sweet eyes technique doesn't work, I still knew I shouldn't leave you with Gwyn too long.  No I love your aunt, but she has the ability to make me do anything she wants in a crazy way, and she has taught it to you. Now time to go to sleep. Uff... Okay, another story, but this is the last one. God Y/N and Cass are going to kill me.
