☕️ Yor Forger!

yor <3333 i feel so much for this character it's a bit silly at times. ever since her first appearance in the manga i was stunned by her gentleness as a character. from my first impression of her i expected her to be quite cold and calculated, and yet she was the complete opposite! i think her presence in the series balances out twilight's more guarded persona well, and i continually found myself rooting for her even during the earlier chapters.

one thing i have always loved about yor (and most of the other female characters in sxf too!) is that endo never treats them as one dimensional. another author might have overtly leaned into her skills as an assassin, her sex appeal, or even her ditzy nature to capture who she was. however, yor is more than that, and the story has let her be more than that too. as the series progresses i still find myself impressed by her kindness, convictions, and love for her family in every action she takes on-screen.

especially when i first became obsessed with the series yor made a huge personal impact on me. i am also a very sensitive, compassionate person who has often felt overwhelmed by all the challenges that come with change and growing up. though her story is very different from mine, i felt encouraged by her quiet courage and growing confidence to face the world as i am, instead of feeling the need to hide myself.
