Guys, either i grossly misremember, or this might just be the best Истина i've ever seen live. Never before, as far as i can recall, has Maxim performed it the way it is, at least to my mind, supposed to be performed - like an epiphany, like a revelation. He makes these otherworldly, ethereal movements, he smiles with such peace, such balance, such tranquility. This is it. These are the last words of a martyr. I was a bit tired of how Истина is usually performed with the air of resistance or regret, acceptance coming only in the very end - if ever. But the lyrics of Истина are acceptance from the very beginning; it is the joy and peace of experiencing the infinite grace. Alas, the video i filmed is super not adequate to convey all of that. (Oh, and notice how he touches his crown that hangs on the mic stand! Maxim was AMAZING!)

In response to your question asking about a list of Russian rock opera related tags to block, following are the ones I'm aware of.

lol the rock opera, lay of leithian the rock opera, lay of leithian rock opera, Лэ о Лэйтиан, finrod rock opera, finrod the rock opera, finrod zong, beren and luthien equestrian musical, and Сказание о Берене и Лютиэн.

Lay of Leithian collage I just finished!

30in by 24in, photos glued onto canvas. Photos not my me but the arrangement is. I might add some swirly lines of glitter at some point, but I’m pretty happy with how it is now!

Hi there! So, to whom it may concern, as they say. 

Finrod is finally being livestreamed. And you get to be sent a recording after the fact for an additional fee. 

WHEN

There will be two shows on 23rd October (4 pm MSK and 7.30 pm MSK), and both will be livestreamed. 

WHERE 

You can buy the access through a post on bootsy. Then you have to leave a comment to that post on bootsy which livestream you would like to see and whether you want a recording after the fact. The recording will be sent to you in 2 months after the show. 

HOW MUCH

One livestream costs about 20 dollars, additional fee for the recording is about 10 dollars.

MY THOUGHTS ON CAST (SORT OF)

I am not big on musical theatre, my knowledge usually ends on Finrod XD

The leading man Yaroslav Bayarunas (both livestreams) is a renown musical actor, but i’ve never seen him on stage, alas, excited to see him as Finrod though! 

Elena Bakhtiyarova (both livestreams) is an amazing musical actress, I’ve seen her in Phantom of the Opera, and she is a terrific Luthien. Gotta see her as Galadriel too (2nd livestream)! 

Highly recommend to see Maxim Rakovsky, our usual Finrod, as Celegorm (1st livestream), i’ve seen him play the part once, and it was damn terrific! 

Mikhail Sidorenko (2nd livestream) is the best Sauron i’ve seen on stage. Yes, he is better at it than even Seraphim, go get me.
