3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

Hmmm...hard question, but for 2024, probably either Like A Virgin (IceMav) or Everybody Needs A New Romance (Javy/Jake) or Tell Me You Need Me (Come Back And Haunt Me) (IceMav) - I feel like I was able to dig in really deep into what makes Ice and Jake and Mav, respectively, all tick and push the envelope a little bit.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

I can't pick just one, so you get two :D

every time I rewatch tg86 its more insane to me how often they play Take my Breath Away when Charlie and Mav are onscreen together and I just sorta wondered what would happen if it were Icemav.

Another IceMav snippet!

“Sleep prints, you say?” he says in nothing more than a whisper. Maverick barely catches the murmur, watching Iceman’s lips move as he speaks. Iceman’s hand slots against his face, holding Maverick’s chin between his thumb and index, the rest of his fingers grazing his neck. Iceman’s thumb rubs his cheek in slow, circling motions, and Maverick momentarily forgets how to breathe. Iceman’s gaze is intense, and this whole ordeal should feel awkward, but Maverick can’t find it in himself to tear his eyes off Iceman. Iceman leans closer still, faces mere inches away from each other. If Maverick focuses on it hard enough, he can pretend that he’s not breathing in the same air as Iceman. He can pretend that he isn’t taking in the smell of Iceman’s cologne, or that he doesn’t feel the texture of Iceman’s hands against his cheeks, rough from too many hours in the cockpit yet warm and pleasant against his skin. “I don’t see any.”

I was inspired by a leyendecker piece (“the ss leviathan”) where someone manipulated the two sailors to be next to each other!! I’ll drop the manipulation under the cut, but unfortunately it’s from Pinterest and idk the source.

I’m actually REALLY happy with how this turned out, so much so that I made another version…hehe

I don’t actually know which one I prefer more…they’re both so fun to me!!! Let me know which one you guys like best :))
