Truck

7. "If you're gonna act like a clown, at least dress like one."

*breaks down your Inbox's door* *heavy breathing* I've made my own Shadow OCs but don't think this means I'm happy about it.

*I am actively losing sanity because Graves and his Shadows have me in a death grip*

So here, here are my Shadows. There's like nothing on them cause I've just now made this shit up for ~reasons~

Andrew 'Woody' Fallwood. Gets his callsign from his name and the fact he's a cowboy. Around 5'11", not very big but is plenty strong. He's a silly guy, likes to make jokes and stuff to keep the others calm, especially big boy Moose. Almost always has a cigarette in his mouth. Can be a bit of an ass but that's just cause he's a stubborn little Southern man. More of an Appalachian southern man, and grew up on a cattle farm. Just really loves cows cause he has so many fond memories of the cows under his family's care. Scary good shot. At least it's scary until people learn he grew up in rural Appalachia and then it's just "oh you've been shooting since you were six, haven't you?"

Cole 'Flash' Halley. Tall, lanky guy that stands at around 6'2". Youngest to be recruited into Shadow Company, often gets called "Baby" or similar things since he's so young. Instantly became so many of the Shadows' new younger brother. Gets his name from one of his first days as a Shadow where he beat a record for completing an obstacle course in the fastest time. He holds all the records for "fastest" on so many things on base, including "fastest time to get a hug from Moose". Cause while Moose is a nice guy and all, he doesn't just go around hugging people, especially the newer Shadows. All Flash had to do though was walk up to him in tears and Moose's big brother instincts kicked in. This was his second day on base. He's the stereotypical little brother, though, cause he's constantly doing things to piss other Shadows off/to just be annoying for the hell of it.

Matthew 'Truck' Simmons. Shorter (around 5'8"), but broad, bulky guy. He's been dubbed "getaway driver". He drives everything, from the great big tanks to just normal ass cars. Definitely a truck freak, and is always in the shop, working on any of the numerous terrain vehicles the Shadows have. Had to repeat a couple of school years, and the second he turned 18 he enlisted. He was sick of being told he wasn't "smart" just because he can't do well on academic tests. But put a truck in front of him and a toolkit and he can tell you every single thing about that truck in extreme detail.

Jacob 'Ness' Owens. Not tall at all compared to most other Shadows, only around 5'6". He's a superb swimmer, and is almost always in the water. Loves to dive and do other water related missions. If he could, he'd swim in the outdoor pool year long (it's closed during the off seasons), but luckily the indoor pool's temperature is more easily controlled, thus allowing him to intentionally make it colder. These pools are for training, but the indoor one tends to be more recreational. Ness is required to sign into something when he wants to swim, cause he always makes it colder, and Graves got sick of the complaining from Shadows trying to swim after he's done. Gets his callsign from the fact he's often in his full wetsuit while swimming, and one time, during the night, several Shadows saw him swimming outside and joked he looked like the Loch Ness Monster. He's very quiet and rarely talks, doesn't like to be around a lot of people, but does a good job and is still friendly enough. Prefers giving in to his cryptid namesake (and the fact he's Ohioan) and doing weird things to get out of conversations. (like staring wide-eyed at them and sinking under the table like it's the water level)

Anyways, back to complaining over my willing obsession over Graves and Shadow Company

Moose is actually an excellent swimmer and handles the cold pretty well so him and Ness would bond over that. Moose won’t stay in the water as much but he would definitely join him for a swim.

Flash would definitely be mothered by Moose. Having joined when he was pretty young himself he’s pretty protective of younger Shadows. He tries to not be overbearing but sometimes he can’t help it and worries over them.

Moose would love to hear Truck talk about his vehicles. He knows a few things himself about them, well enough to get them running or to make repairs if needed. He likes listening to people talk about things they’re passionate about.

Woody would definitely be good friends with Moose. The jokes would win him over and they have a shared love for cows. But the accent would definitely have a part in it, something Moose won’t admit. A southern accent is very comforting to him.

Heroic teenagers:

Temar Boggs (15) -  Boggs and some friends were helping an old lady move a sofa in Lancaster Township, Pennsylvania when police stopped to ask if they had seen missing five-year-old Jocelyn Rojas, who vanished from her grandmother’s yard. Hearing the news, Boggs and his friends decided to form their own search party in which they noticed a car driving erratically and driving down side streets. Boggs sped up on his bike and noticed the young child inside the car, from there the group pursued the car for 15 minutes before the driver pulled over and pushed Rojas out. 

Cameron Cook (17) - Cook and his mother, Heather Cook, were shopping at a local Target when he noticed a man “grabbing himself” whilst watching a young girl pushing a shopping cart. The man then proceeded to thrust himself up against the child in which Cook instinctively asked the man if he knew the child in which the man kept repeating “I’m not a pervert”, Cook replying stating “I didn’t ask you that, sir” then demanded the man to leave the premises. The store handed the video surveillance over to police for investigating.

Zaevion Dobson (15) - Dobson was shot and killed whilst shielding 3 females from gunfire in Tennessee. The shooting was said to have been random.

Hannah Simmons (15) -  Simmons had stepped in when she noticed a man sitting on the ledge pictured. Simmons was able to talk the man down from the bridge where he then attempted to walk on to the nearby road - thinking quickly, Simmons grabbed the man before calling the police. This is not the first time Simmons had saved a life, a year prior she came to the aid of a man who fell to the floor, gasping for air. Simmons had placed him in the recovery position, instructing rail staff not to move the man - this later proved to be vital as the man had a broken rib which had punctured a lung. Simmons bravery earned her a ‘Spirit of Triangle Award’ in 2015.

Matthew Robinson (18) - Robinson, his mother and his father rushed to help when a neighbour's home went up in flames. Robinson heroically entered the smoke filled room to retrieve Jack (11) and his sister Chantelle (5), passing them to his father, Roy. Robinson’s mother, Jackie, was able to save Tamara Barlow (12) along with her 16-month-old brother.

Kaela Eads (18) - Eads was finishing her shift at a fast food restaurant when a woman ran up to the drive through window holding a young child. When Eads was told the child wasn’t breathing she sprung into action, running outside to perform CPR on the young child - saving his life.

Jamal Rutledge (17) - Rutledge was arrested for violating probation where he was then taken to the Fort Lauderdale police department for processing. Whilst Officer Franklin Foulks was filling out his paperwork, Foulks suffered a heart attack. Thinking quickly, Rutledge began shouting and kicking on the security fence whilst handcuffed to alert officers. Doctors say Rutledge’s actions ultimately saved Foulks life. Rutledge was later honoured at a special ceremony.

Malyk Bonnet (17) - When Bonnet saw a man pushing and shoving a woman at a local bus stop, he begin to trail the two’s movements to ensure her safety, in doing so they eventually asked Bonnet for money. Bonnet went to a near-by convenience store where, the abducted woman, told Bonnet she needed help. From there Bonnet devised a plan, he joined them on the bus where he then offered to buy the pair food at a near-by Tim Hortons, once at the fast food store Bonnet entered the bathroom to call the police.

Kameron Howell-Meeker (15) - Howell-Meeker was walking with new friend, Ellie Fielder (17), when they heard the screeching tire of a pickup truck as it swerved towards them. Fielder felt a shove before seeing Howell-Meeker get hit by the truck, tumbling over the hood. Howell-Meeker suffered a broken pelvis, torn ligaments and a compressed spine. The driver, Corey Brownlee, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence and assault.

Aiden Waugh (18) and Nathaniel Mehl (19) -  Whilst going for a jog around 3:00pm, the pair came across a man stabbing a woman on the path between the YSI fields and the Clinton Lake dam. The pair explained they charged at the man who then begin to run from the scene. Waugh then begin to chase the man whilst Mehl attended to the injured woman. The pair called 911 and the man was later found and booked on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, attempted rape, sexual battery and criminal use of a weapon.

Jesse Frank - Frank was riding the bus home, along with 38 other children, when the bus driver suffered a medical episode. With the bus beginning to veer off the road, Frank hurried to the drivers seat using one hand to push down the brake and used his other hand to carefully guide the bus to the side of the road. Frank was able to safely stop the vehicle where he then rung 911, waiting for assistance before removing his hand from the pedal.

Energy may be a sliver of gross domestic product - but try running the rest of the economy without it. Energy, not money, is the original currency, the source of all wealth.

Truck gets a wild hair and wants to do something stupid just for the hell of it

But this always appears in the form of him joining Flash and @midnight193 's oc Star in their shenanigans.

He claims it's "babysitting"

Graves calls "bullshit"

But it kinda works out in the end, because no matter what, Truck will always make sure no one gets hurt or it doesn't end up with someone getting into serious trouble.

He always says "if you're gonna act like a clown, ya gotta be prepared to dress like one", which is a reference to some of the ridiculous modern fashion trends of civilians. Which he's implying that's what you'll become if you act stupid enough. He's a very pessimistic, grumpy man.

Bonus thought: Flash has only been on the receiving end of Truck's wrath ONCE

Normally, Flash can get away with just about anything in Truck's presence. No one really blames him, Flash is very sweet and he's the baby. Can't stay mad at that face type of guy.

But one time...

One time Flash accidentally called him Grandpa.

And he may have broke the sound barrier trying to run from the angry mechanic

22. Special interests? Marine animals, horses, honestly animals in general.

18. Favorite sport? She's not a big sports fan, actually. Thinks hockey is the most entertaining to watch but wouldn't watch it on her own.

30. Ideal partner? She's a ways off from this, just from a standpoint of she's still recovering from The Incident and still has to navigate being a teenager at the same time

Flash

8. Biggest insecurity? Probably his hands and feet. He thinks they look weird.

10. Relationship to their parents? Has a great relationship with his parents. He was a well raised only child and still maintains good communication with his parents

16. Favorite swear word? Flash honestly doesn't swear all that much, he just doesn't speak in that manner. He does love saying "aw hell" in a very fake Southern accent every chance he gets. Fun fact, the first time he did this around Truck, the mechanic actually had to hold back a laugh.

8. His intelligence. He knows he's plenty smart, but he's always struggled academically and can sometimes seem a little "dumb" (in his opinion). He just wants people to take him seriously regardless of his intellect

10. Had a really good relationship with his Pops, so when he died when Truck was a teen, it was tough. He still has a decent relationship with his momma, and did everything he could to help her retire comfortably

34. Favorite person? His wife Candy without a doubt. Can tolerate a lot of people but he prefers Candy over anyone else

3. Alas springs chicken. It's this really good chicken dish her mom would make. It's got a special type of sauce baked with the chicken strips, with cheese and bacon. She loves it so much.

14. Reading is her biggest hobby. She loves researching things and learning and reading is the best way to do that. Eventually she gets into knitting and crochet.

4. His favorite place in the world is probably the downtown area of the city he grew up in. It's got so much fun stuff and it's always colorful and he just really loves it

11. His most embarrassing memory is when he was running during practice in high school. He tripped over his own two feet, landed on the ground really hard, and twisted his ankle.
